James Herbert Wall, 86, of Jonesboro died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004 at St. Bernard's Medical Center.

Arrangements will be announced by Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.

PARAGOULD -- Doulis W. Brashers, 79, of Paragould died Sunday, April 11, 2004 at St. Bernard's Medical Center.

Arrangements will be announced by Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Bidwell

Mary Yvonne Bidwell, 85, of Jonesboro died Saturday, April 10, 2004 at her home.

Arrangements will be announced by Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Clem

TRUMANN -- Virginia Mildred "Jean" Clem, 80, of Trumann died Sunday, April 11, 2004 at her residence.

Born in Coteau, N.D., she had lived in Trumann for 30 years moving from Wyoming. She was a nurse and a member of the Parkview Baptist Church in Trumann.

Survivors include her husband, Dillard "Doc" W.D. Clem of the home; one son, Richard Clem of Ward; two daughters, Sharon Baker of Feeding Hill, Mass., and Paulette Harness of Memphis; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Lucille Bormuth Quanne, one brother and one sister.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, with the Rev. Bill Maxwell and the Rev. Paul Vinson officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Barker, Gary Barker, Joe Barker, Tony Clem, Chris Clem, Cory Harness and Neil Clem.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Despain

LAKE CITY -- Funeral services for Lawrence Jackson Despain, 74, of Lake City who died Friday, April 9, 2004 at Memphis will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Emerson Funeral Home's chapel in Lake City.

The Rev. Steve Crawford will officiate and burial will follow in Monette Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Steve Despain, James Stewart, Jed Bicker, Josh Barker, Chris Despain and Bud Caldwell.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Regional Med Firefighters Burn Center, 890 Madison, Memphis 38103.

Foster

PARAGOULD -- Everett "Dooley" Foster, 78, of Paragould died Sunday, April 11, 2004 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center.

Arrangements will be announced by Mitchell Funeral Home of Paragould.

Kelly

Helen Johanna Mathilda Kelly, 98, of Jonesboro died Saturday, April 10, 2004 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

She attended the Academy at Bethany College, the Lindsborg Public Schools and graduated from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kan., with a bachelor of accounts degree. She was retired from Planters State Bank in Salina, Kan., and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Abilene, Kan., and St. Marks Episcopal Church in Jonesboro.

Survivors include one son, Dr. J.D. Kelly of Jonesboro; and one sister, Ingeborg Hopkins of Lindsborg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Kelly, her parents, Carl H. and Esther M. Anderson, two sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at a later date in Lindsborg. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery at Lindsborg.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.

McCarty

TRUMANN -- Dorothy Faye McCarty, 72, of Trumann died Sunday, April 11, 2004 at St. Bernard's Medical Center.

Born in Marked Tree, she had lived in Trumann for 48 years. She was retired from Trumann Public Schools and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Trumann.

Survivors include two sons, Roger McCarty of Trumann and Michael McCarty of Burleson, Texas; one daughter, Linda Knaper of Hot Springs; one sister, Inez Lee of Chico, Texas; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. McCarty; one daughter, Janice Dupuis; her parents, Harry and Beulah Lillard Akins; three sisters; and two brothers.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Trumann, with Dr. Tad Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Tyronza Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Harold Pankey, Wade Knaper, Jim Dupuis, Jerry Greenwell, Michael Collier, Jerry McKinney and Dr. Kemp Childs.

Honorary pallbearers will include the Dorcas Sunday school class of First Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.

McCullough

Lydia McCullough, 87, of Jonesboro died Sunday, April 11, 2004 at her residence.

Arrangements will be announced by Woodard Funeral Service of Jonesboro.

Province

MADISON, Ala. -- Don Province, 48, of Madison, formerly of Jonesboro, died Sunday, April 11, 2004.

He was a 1974 graduate of Jonesboro High School, Gem City College in Quincy, Ill., and Gemological Institute of America and a member of First Baptist Church in Jonesboro.

He was active in Boy Scouts, having earned Eagle Scout, God and Country Award, Order of the Arrow and completed Wood Badge training. He participated in the National Boy Scout Jamboree in Farragut, Idaho and Philmont Boy Scout Ranch in Cimarron, N.M. He served as Scoutmaster of Troop 2 at First Baptist Church in Jonesboro and was assistant scoutmaster of Troop 350 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Madison.

He was an active member of the North Alabama British Motoring Society in Huntsville, Ala.

He was the manager of Dreifus Jewelers in Jonesboro, Reed's Jewelers in Hattiesburg, Miss., and Huntsville and the manager of the jewelry department of Service Merchandise in Huntsville.

Survivors include his wife, Sherry Stratton Province of the home; one son, Jordan Province of the home; two brothers, Wendel Province of Cordova, Tenn., and Randal Province of Bartlett, Tenn.; and one sister, Yvonne Reeves of Jonesboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Mildred Province, and one brother.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Berryhill Mortuary and Funeral Home in Huntsville, with the Rev. Vernon Lucky officiating. Burial will follow in Madison City Cemetery at Madison, Ala.

Active pallbearers will be David Crawford, Donny Maleknia, Tim Cudd, Patrick Miller, Rik Holeman, Dan Kleis and Don Bridger.

Honorary pallbearers will include Charles Cowart and members of the North Alabama British Motoring Society.

Visitation will be from 5:20-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Sharp

Norma Jean Sharp, 75, of Jonesboro died Saturday, April 10, 2004 at St. Bernard's Medical Center.

Born at Otwell, she lived in the Otwell, Weiner and Jonesboro areas all of her life. She was a homemaker and former Elementary School Teacher at Weiner and Valley View Schools, attended Arkansas State University and was a member of Otwell Christian Church.

Survivors include one son, Tince Sharp of Jonesboro; and two granddaughters, Heather Sharp and Megan Sharp, both of Jonesboro.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Sharp; her parents, Luther Buel Keller and Sylvia Holland Keller; three brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Gregg Funeral Home chapel, with Mitch Ford officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Jack Keller, Tommy Malone, Phillip Craft, Beara Craft, David Wilkins and Billy Wilkins.

Honorary pallbearers will include Craighead County Farm Bureau staff, Reapers Sunday school class of Otwell Christian Church and Opal Pierce.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
