Mrs. Christine Cartwright Moore, age 80, a resident of Foreman, died January 25, 2009 in Shreveport, LA. She was born September 30, 1968 in foreman, Arkansas. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Foreman Senior Adults, a Sunday School teacher, and involved in numerous committees.
Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband Salon Moore; a sister, Juanita Wilson; and 4 brothers: Buddy, Jeff, Chester, and Truman Cartwright.
she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Mark & Janet Moore of bossier City, LA; a sister: Joan Hooper of Foreman; a Sister in law: Maria Cartwright of Bedford, TX; 2 grandchildren: Megan Moore and Trent Moore, a future Grandson-in-law: Michael Middlebrooks, numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Moore were held Thursday, January 29th, 10 am in first Baptist Church of Foreman with Rev. David Tucker and Dewayne Blackmoore officiating. Burial followed in the Marvin Cemetery.

Freda Mae Keaster Forrester
Mrs. Freda Mae Keaster Forrester, age 60, a resident of Horatio, died Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at her home. She was born January 9, 1949 in Dierks, Arkansas to Thomas Louis and Minnie Eline Howard Keaster. She worked road construction and attended the Dierks Assembly of God Church.
Mrs. Forrester was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter Lee Forrester and one brother, Floyd Dale Keaster.
She is survived by two daughters, Julie Craig of De Queen and Tonya Waldrop of Lockesburg; two sisters, Dorothy Melson and Bernece Dixon both of Dierks; one brother, James Keaster of De Queen; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Forrester will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 31, 2009 in the Fellowship Church with Ray Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in the Fellowship Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 30th at the funeral home in De Queen.
Willard Leroy Spray
Mr. Willard Leroy Spray, age 70, a resident of Dierks, died Thursday, January 29, 2009 at his home.
He was born August 8, 1938 in Blackrock, Arkansas to Audie and Racheal Fultner Spray. He was a night guard for the Federal Compress.
Mr. Spray was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ellen Authetta Goodwin Spray on April 4, 2003; two brothers, Leamon Spray and Ernest Spray; and two sisters, Joyce Link and Jewell Bateman.
He is survived by his children, Willard Leo Spray of Truman, Arkansas, Brenda Kay Spray, Leamon Hardy Spray and Timothy DeWayne Spray all of Dierks and Carolyn Dees of Frostproof, Florida; one brother, Tommy Spray, one sister, Darlene Dulaney both of Truman, Arkansas; 16 grand-children, 5 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Estelle Jackson Alexander
Mrs. Estelle Jackson Alexander, age 90, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas died Wednesday, January 28, 2009 in the Howard Memorial Hospital in Nashville, Arkansas .
She was born July 16, 1918 in Liberty Hill, Arkansas to George and Mary Arnold Jackson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Greens Chapel Methodist Church .
Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Clarence Dale Alexander on June 1, 1972 and a son-in-law, Marlin St. John.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy C. Alexander and Kaye of Dierks; one daughter, Joyce St. John of Hot Springs; five grandchildren, Karen Pounders, Laurie Stephens, Greg, Brian and Michael St. John; five great-grandchildren, Hayden Stephens, Kobe Pounders, Sarah St. John, Rebecca Tilley and Rachel Farrell.
Funeral services for Mrs. Alexander will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 30, 2009 in the Greens Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. Dany Partlow officiating. Burial will follow in the Greens Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 29th at the funeral home in Dierks.
William Burton Richardson Sr.
Mr. William Burton Richardson, Sr., age 81, a resident of Eagletown, Oklahoma died Sunday, January 25, 2009 in the De Queen Medical Center.
He was born December 30, 1927 in Turkey, Texas to Robert and Jessie Webb Richardson. He was a retired truck driver for Brazos Trucking, a U.S. Army veteran, and a Baptist.
Mr. Richardson was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lucy Elizabeth Richardson on January 19, 2004.
He is survived by four sons, Ricky Richardson of Eagletown, Oklahoma, Bill Richardson, Jr. of Dierks, Roger Richardson of De Queen and Terry Richardson of Stubenville, Ohio ; and 8 grandchildren.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 29, 2009 in the Horatio Cemetery
with Randy Davis officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
Ernest Lawrence Lignitz
Ernest Lawrence Lignitz, age 88, a resident of Horatio, AR died, Saturday, January 24, 2009 in De Queen.
Mr. Lignitz was born November 7, 1920, at Haddam, Kansas to John and Nellie Idlet Lignitz. He was a member of the Horatio Church of Christ, a WWII Navy veteran, and a retired electrician.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Lavern Hughes Lignitz on May 7, 2004.
Survivors include a son: Jerry Lignitz of Horatio and a daughter, Patricia Noble of Mena, Arkansas two sisters, Mildred Reese of Horatio, Arkansas, and Vera Spatig of Indianapolis, Indiana ; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside Funeral Services for Mr. Lignitz will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2009 in the Clear Creek Cemetery
with Virgil Romine, minister officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Burton K. Walker, Jr.
Mr. Burton K. Walker, Jr., 85 of Ashdown passed away January 22 in Texarkana, TX.
Funeral Services for Mr. Walker will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 24th at the First United Methodist Church in Ashdown with Jim Cross officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashdown Cemetery
under the direction of Madden Funeral home of Ashdown.
He was born February 4, 1923 in Ashdown.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Walker of Ashdown, one son and daughter in law Burton K and Janice Walker III of Coffeyville, KS. One daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Gary Greene of De Queen, four grandchildren and many other friends and relatives.
The family will have visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 23 at the Funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund in Ashdown.
Alfred Willoughby
Mr. Alfred Willoughby, age 90, a resident of De Queen, died Thursday, January 22, 2009 in the Crystal Falls Healthcare Center in De Queen.
He was born December 20, 1918 in Odell, Texas to James M. and Nellie Beckham Willoughby. He was retired from the U.S. Postal service and the KCS Railroad. He was a member of the Union Community Church ; he served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the local DAV.
Mr. Willoughby was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Blanche Irene Willoughby on March 16, 2006.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jerry Trecek of Peoria, IL ; one son and daughter-in-law, Alfred Willoughby, Jr. and Debra of Benton ; three grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Willoughby will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2009 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J.L. Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery

Loree Marion Stubbs Evans
Mrs. Loree Marion Stubbs Evans, age 87, a resident of Wickes, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2009 in her home.
She was born April 12, 1921 in DeQueen, Arkansas to the late James Alexander Stubbs and the late Mary Ethel Bales Stubbs. She was united in marriage to the late George B. Evans. She was a homemaker and worked on the family farm. Mrs. Evans was a loving mother and the heart of her home. She was always ready to lend a helping hand to friends or neighbors, or any one of the children, not matter what the chore. She truly was a blessing to all on her earthly journey, and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George B. Evans, September 27, 1999, a son, Vernon Wade Evans, two brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Wickes Baptist Church with Brother Scott Ray and Brother Leon McCleskey officiating. Interment will follow at Galena Cemetery
under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. A visitation for family and friends will be Friday evening, January 23rd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Ray Hughes, Chris Hughes, Mathew Broach, Brandon Evans, Brice Evans, Brent Evans, Robert Evans, and Earl Evans.
