Deborah Lynn (Maw) Vaughn
Deborah Lynn (Maw) Vaughn, age 53, of Shreveport, LA, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at her residence. Debbie is preceded in death by her father Kenneth Klitz.
Left to cherish her memory are: her husband, Jim Vaughn, daughter, Amanda Renee Thomas and husband, Terry; her mother, Effie Klitz; son, Christopher Scott Lord; brothers, Ronald Klitz and Joel David Klitz; sister, Rachel Aldaz and husband, Marc; grand daughters, Kara and Tricia Thomas; as well as a host of friends.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 11, 2009 at the home of Effie Klitz, 687 L.R. 52 in Winthrop, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 1:00-5:00 p.m., Saturday, July 11 at the home of Effie Klitz.
J.W. Churchwell
Mr. John William "J.W." Churchwell, age 79, a resident of Eagletown, Oklahoma, died Thursday, July 2, 2009 in the Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas.
He was born August 14, 1929 in Gillham, Arkansas. He was a retired farmer and truck driver and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mr. Churchwell was preceded in death by his parents Jess Augusta and Elsie Jane Almond Churchwell; his wife, Mattie Churchwell on November 15, 2007; infant daughter, Vera Lavon Churchwell, one grandson, Joe Brizendine; and one brother, Howard Churchwell.
He is survived by his children, David Churchwell and John Churchwell both of Eagletown, Oklahoma, Joan Williamson of De Queen, Rhonda Smith of Texarkana, Arkansas, Mikeal Churchwell of Fouke, Arkansas and Jessy Churchwell of De Queen; his honorary children, Calvin and Carla Cooper of Rudy, Arkansas; one sister, Amy Brewer of Gillham; 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Funeral Services for Mr. Churchwell will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 5, 2009 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rusty Ross officiating. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday, July 4th at the funeral home.
Mary Elizabeth Barnhart Dickinson
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Barnhart Dickinson, age 97, a resident of Bentonville, formerly of Horatio, Arkansas died Tuesday, June 30, 2009 in Bentonville.
She was born October 2, 1911 in De Queen. She was a homemaker and a member of the Horatio United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Dickinson was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Martha Elizabeth Norwood Barnhart; her husband, Rodger C. Dickinson on February 1, 1998; one son, James William Dickinson; two brothers, Barney Barnhart and Lynn Barnhart; two sisters, Eatel Edwards and Colene Peek.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Rodger Dickinson Jr. and Janie of Bentonville, Arkansas; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside Funeral Services for Mrs. Dickinson will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2009 in the Horatio Cemetery
with Rev. Fred Smith officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Methodist Church in Horatio.
Carol Ann Jackson
Carol Ann Jackson, age 58, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas formerly of Jacksonville, Arkansas died Monday, June 29, 2009 in the Dierks Heath and Rehab Center.
She was born April 9, 1951 in Williamsburg, Virginia. She was a client of Pathfinders and member of the Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Lafayette and Geraldine Mildred Waye Jackson.
She is survived by three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Wanda Bailey of Greenville, Texas, Marie and Roy Wafer of Mobile, Alabama and Ruth and Jeff Coleman of Norwich, Kansas; one brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Rose Jackson of Dierks; and a number of nieces and nephews and several friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 9, 2009 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in Dierks with Bro. Ellis Jones officiating.

Damon Andrew "Drew" Dunn
Mr. Damon Andrew "Drew" Dunn age 39, passed away Friday, June 26, 2009 from injuries sustained in an accident.
Damon Andrew Dunn was born September 11, 1969 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a son of William and Diane (Bennet) Dunn. He was united in marriage to Sara Ralston on August 21, 2004 in Bettendorf, Iowa.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sara, his parents, William and Diane Dunn, a brother, Jaret (Lena) Dunn, and their children, Alma and Jakob; a sister-in-law, Mary (Fred) Stupen, and their children, Sophia and Petra; mother and father-in-law, Sandra and James Ralston, as well as his loving extended family.
A funeral Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, July 1st at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, in Davenport under the direction of Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday July 3, 2009 at Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
Clara Faye Moore
Clara Faye Moore, age 68, of Gillham, Arkansas passed away Sunday, June 21, 2009.
She was born December 11, 1940 in Mena, Arkansas to the late Robert T. Harrison and the late Martha Dick Harrison. She was united in marriage the year 1960 in Poteau, Oklahoma to George Moore. Mrs. Moore was a loving homemaker, wife, mother, sister, and friend.

Leetrice Deloris Downing
Leetrice Deloris Downing, age 78, of Grannis, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at her home.
She was born March 21, 1931 in Stilwell, Oklahoma to the late Samuel Thomas and the late Ferrell Kelly Thomas. She was united in marriage to the late William Herbert Downing. Mrs. Downing was a clerk at the EZ Mart for 17 years and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by: Daughter: Connie Turpin and husband Keith of Broken Bow, Oklahoma Sons: Davon Downing of Grannis, Arkansas Sisters: Lorene Williams of Nash, Texas Freida Byrum of Nash, Texas Aline Dunigan of Wenatchee, Washington. 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Ferrell Kelly Thomas, her husband, Herbert Downing, 2 brothers, Jack and Bill Thomas and a daughter, Tina Downing Belcher.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Baker Rock Church with interment following at Baker Cemetery

MILDRED MARIE MARTIN STAGGS
Mrs. Mildred Marie Staggs, age 92, a resident of Texarkana and a former resident of DeQueen, died Thursday, January 14th at her home.
She was born to Grover Witt and Matt Thompson Martin at Horatio, Ar. On June 19, 1917. She was a member of the Memorial Missionary Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Cleve Staggs, a brother, Arlon Martin, and a sister, Sadie Durden.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Sandra Staggs of Texarkana, Two daughters and Sons-in-law Clevette and Donnie Walden of Texarkana, and Jerolyn and Gene Beutelschies of DeQueen; A special Niece, JoAnn Terrell of Pleasant Hill, La. Her caregiver, Joyce Barr of Texarkana. Nine grandchildren, Clint Beuteuschies, Cheryl Flood, Crista Foster, Shali Martindale, Lori Jones, Joe Walden, Donna Eastburn, Brady Staggs, and Susan Bratschi, Fourteen Great-Grandchildren, one Great-Great Grandson, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Mildred stags are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home in DeQueen, and will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 16th in the Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, DeQueen with Bro. Joe Carlton and Bro. Jason Carlton officiating. Burial will follow in the Lockesburg Cemetery
in Lockesburg. The family will receive friends at the Memorial Missionary Baptist church fellowship Hall from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January. 16th
