Simpson
Cordie Brewer Simpson, 85, of Jonesboro died Saturday, July 17, at St. Bernard's Medical Center.
Born in Stone County, she had lived in Caraway before moving to Jonesboro in 1949.
She was a homemaker and a member of Union Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include six sons, James Simpson of Hendersonville, Tenn., Danny Simpson of Belvidere, Ill., Reuben Simpson of Lake City and Carson Simpson, Anthony Simpson and Allen Simpson, all of Jonesboro; one daughter, Faye Taylor of Caraway; 17 grandchildren, Jamie Brown, Holly Carmack, Karen Rutledge, Ronnie Simpson, Darin Simpson, Stefanie Simpson, Tracy Wahler, Marcus Simpson, Monica Simon, Tonya McCollum, Kim Sexton, Coty Simpson, Star Holloway, Destiny Holloway, Toni Simpson, Erica Simpson and Eric Simpson; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Simpson, and one daughter, Bonnie Sue Simpson.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Emerson Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro, with the Rev. Harold Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Brad McCollum, Scott Sexton, Jim Brown, Jon Carmack, Coty Simpson and Mike Barnett.
Honorary pallbearers will include Shirley Simpson, Doris Simpson, Dianne Simpson, Annella Simpson, Donna Simpson and Sandra Simpson.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Walker
NEWARK -- Sharon Kay Walker, 59, of Newark died Saturday, July 17, at Little Rock.
Born at Newark, she was a floral designer and a member of Mount Zion Church of Christ at Newark.
Survivors include her husband, Earnest Walker of Newark; one daughter, Tori Williams of Batesville; one sister, Meadruth Sisk of Memphis; and one grandson, Bradley Williams of Batesville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Ray and Bernice Clark Boultinghouse.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Zion Church of Christ, with Danny Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include Tommy Joe Gipson, Bob Fudge, Jackie Tilley, Jerry McClain, Mike Hodges and Chip Philips.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at Jackson's Newark Funeral Home.
Young
Funeral services for Marie Davidson Young, 83, of Jonesboro, who died Friday, July 16, at St. Bernard's Medical Center, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Assembly of God in Jonesboro.
The Rev. Mike Glover, the Rev. Carl Anders and the Rev. Terry Watson will officiate. Burial will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Pallbearers will include Stan Watson, Jeff Watson, Darren Davidson, Scotty Collins, Colby Cotton and Shane Cotton.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Born at Imboden, she lived in Payneway before moving to Jonesboro in the early 1990s. She had worked for Singer Corp. in Trumann and was a member of First Assembly of God in Jonesboro.
Survivors include one son, Robert H. Davidson of Jonesboro; four daughters, Phyllis Marie Muniz of Phoenix, Leviathan Cotton and Carolyn Cotton, both of Hot Springs, and Teresa A. Davidson-Packard of St. Louis; two brothers, Bob Benson of Memphis and Carl Lee Benson of St. Louis; one sister, Tracy Phillips of Memphis; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Young, and one son.
Adams
IMBODEN -- J.T. Adams Jr., 95, of Imboden died Sunday, Aug. 1, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Born in Prescott, he was a retired farmer and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at Annieville.
Survivors include his brother, Tillman Adams of Fort Smith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Marie Miller Adams, a brother and a sister.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Hope Cemetery
at Imboden, with Jerry Clements officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home of Imboden.
Pallbearers will include Tom Marby, Lavon Young, Jim Taylor, Ted Davis and James Adams.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Bailey
TUPELO -- Melba "Tankie" Bailey, 67, of Tupelo died Sunday, Aug. 1, at her home.
She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Bailey of Tupelo; seven sons, Chuck Cagle of Little Rock, Stanley Cagle of Bald Knob, Ricky Cagle and Marty Cagle, both of Tupelo, Eddie Cagle of Newport, Timmy Cagle of Texarkana and Allen Cagle of Nash, Texas; one daughter, Lisa Goodman of Newport; one sister, Jere Weekly of Tupelo; 23 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Willie "Bill" Colter; one son, Dennis Cagle; her parents; and one sister.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Dillinger Funeral Home at Newport. Burial will follow in Lewis Cemetery
at Hickory Ridge.
Active pallbearers will include Harold Clark, Langley Puckett, Bob Arnold, Glenn Bailey, James Callahan and Johnny Callahan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Croslin and Gary Jones.

BAY -- Eathel Champlin, 87, of Bay died Friday, July 30, at Lakeside Nursing Center in Lake City.
Born at Cleveland, she moved to Bay in 1936.
She was a homemaker and was retired from Singer Corp. in Trumann. She was a member of Alsup Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Ann Richie of Bay and Mable Buhrmester of Jonesboro; one son, John Champlin of Bay; four sisters, Effie Fletcher, Maxine Smith and Matie May Bobbitt, all of Jonesboro, and Willadean Matlock of Livingston, Texas; two brothers, Alton Pemberton of Jonesboro and Eulis Pemberton of Conway; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Leon Minick and the Rev. Arie Whitlock officiating.
Active pallbearers will include Mike Champlin, Marty Champlin, Ray Buhrmester, Chris Buhrmester, Jared Buhrmester and Danny Harper.
Honorary pallbearers will include Jim Thomas, Randel Loony, Randy Skaggs, Shelby Stevens, Gene Reed and Shelby Reed.
