Glen Webb House

Mr. Glen Webb House, age 56, a resident of De Queen, AR, died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in the Brookewood Nursing Center in De Queen.

He was born on June 16, 1956 in Cotton Valley, Louisiana. He was the former manager of Lewis Food Center and bread distributor for Flowers Baking Company.

Mr. House was preceded in death by his father, G.W. "Dub" House; one sister, Jaline House and one step-son, Chucky Bo House.
He is survived by his mother, Pauline Martin House; one daughter, Lacy Gauldin both of De Queen; three brothers, Thomas Lee House of Prescott, AR, Paul Howard House and David Dale House both of De Queen; two sisters, Alice Marie Covington and Marsha Ann Beard both of Ashdown, AR; one step-daughter, Frishi Morris of Fayetteville, AR and four grandchildren, Austin, Trevor, Trenton and Gavin.
Funeral Services for Mr. House will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 27, 2012 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Millwee Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, October 26th at the funeral home in De Queen.

Tony Wayne Hankins

Tony Wayne Hankins, age 48, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Friday, October 19, 2012 at his home.
He was born on November 21, 1963 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is a member of the Rose Hill Baptist Church.

Mr. Hankins was preceded in death by his mother, Sonia Green Hankins; one brother, Gary Hankins and a sister, Lisa Olalde.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Whisenhunt Hankins; father, Donald Hankins of De Queen, Arkansas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry and Laura Hankins of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Glen and Lacy Hankins of Foreman, Arkansas; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Melissa Nunn; nieces and nephews; special friends, Pam Kelly, Joyce Bowers and friends from Timber Ridge Apartments.
Graveside Funeral Services for Mr. Hankins will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 21, 2012 in the Valley Cemetery with Rev. Mike Moody and Rev. Grant Bishop officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Twyla Marian Wright Faircloth

Mrs. Twyla Marian Wright Faircloth, age 83, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Friday, October 19, 2012, in the De Queen Medical Center, De Queen, Ark.

She was born to Charles and Jane Owen Wright at Miltonvale, Kansas, on September 9, 1929. She was a retired employee of Pilgrim’s Pride, as well as a homemaker. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church and enjoyed taking care of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Mike Trickel.

She is survived by her husband, John D. Faircloth of De Queen, four sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald Lee and Diane Trickel and Terry and Terrie Trickel all of Denver, Colorado, Gary Trickel and Sharon Strube of Horatio, and Mark Trickel of De Queen; two daughters and sons-in-law, Raylene and Harold Dunn; and Merri Lee and Delbert Roberts of Horatio, three step-sons and their spouses, Ronald Lee and Betty Ann Faircloth and Edward Ray and Pinkie Faircloth of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and David Faircloth of Laurinburg, North Carolina; three sisters, Rose Vosburg of Salina, Kansas, Kay Nolan of Olathe, Kansas, and Sarah Merwick of Oregon, and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Twyla Faircloth will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, October 22nd in the Redmen Cemetery with Rev. Tim Johnson officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends at Chandler Funeral Home on Sunday, October 21st from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M.

Floyd Henry Rich

Floyd Henry Rich, age 64, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas, passed away Friday, October 19, 2012 due to an automobile accident near Horatio.

Floyd was born on April 16, 1948 in Hughes, Arkansas. He was an employee of Pilgrims Pride and a former sawyer. Floyd served his country honorably in Vietnam.

Mr. Rich was preceded in death by his parents Robert E. Lee Rich, Sr. and Vertie Viola Rich; two brothers, Donald Gene Rich and Richard Ray Rich; and two sisters, Edith Laverne Rich and Bobbie Virginia Crouch.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Randy Shoults of Broken Bow, OK; two step-sons and daughters-in-law, Matt and Kara Hill and Jake and Morgan Hill all of Dierks, AR; two granddaughters, Stephanie Brantley of Eagletown, OK and Shantel Cox of De Queen, AR; one sister, Artie Margaret Klitz of Winthrop, AR; and two brothers, Robert E. Lee Rich, Jr. and John Elmer Rich, both of Horatio, AR.

Funeral Services for Floyd Henry Rich will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in the Horatio Assembly of God Church with Coy Willis officiating. Burial will follow in the Horatio Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday October 22nd at the funeral home.

Earl Marvin Mangold

Mr. Earl Marvin Mangold, age 102, a resident of De Queen, died Friday, October 19, 2012, at his home.

He was born to William M. and Mary Susan Kraft Mangold in Texas County, Oklahoma, on October 1, 1910. He moved to De Queen during the Great Depression, and went to work for the De Queen & Eastern Railroad. He later moved to the Kansas City Southern Railway as a mechanical supervisor until his retirement in 1995. He is a member of the First Baptist Church and a member of the Sweet Home Masonic Lodge. Mr. Mangold was the oldest active Mason in Arkansas, and had served as Chaplin and Past Master.

He was preceded in death by his parents, all nine of his siblings, his step-children, Floyd Walker, M. E. Walker, and his wife, Marie Downs Mangold.

He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Elizabeth Hoover of Little Rock, Arkansas and Betty and Thomas Lutz of De Queen, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other family members.

Funeral Services for Mr. Earl Mangold will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 22nd in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Herbert officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow in Redmen Cemetery.

Sharon Gentry

Sharon Gentry, 65, of Texarkana, Ark., died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Gentry was born Dec. 10, 1946, in El Paso, Texas. She was a certified nurse’s assistant. She was preceded in death by her father Ottice Junior Zacharias Dec. 1980 one son, Mark Gentry; and two grandsons, George Carter and Gregory Carter.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Kris Mills of Texarkana and Kathy and Robbie Grooms of Odessa, Texas; Her husband by separation, Phillip Gentry I of Odessa Texas. her mother, Mary Anna Zacharias of De Queen, Ark.; one brother, Gary Zacharias of Texarkana; one sister, Susie Wall of De Queen; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 21 at Seventh Day Adventists Church at 1436 E. Red Bridge Road, De Queen, Ark. Arrangements are under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas. No meal at the church.

James Donald "Donnie" Griffin

James Donald "Donnie" Griffin, age 71, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Sunday, October 14, 2012 at his home.

He was born on August 18, 1941 in Dierks, Arkansas. He was the former manager of Gilbert Hardware in Dierks, head of maintenance at Roberts Dodge in Eugene, Oregon and Roberts Chevrolet in De Queen until his retirement. He was a member of the National Guard.

Mr. Griffin was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Ethel Garner Griffin and one sister, Ernestine Pate.

He is survived by his wife, March Pafford Griffin of De Queen; one son, James Griffin, Jr. of Texarkana, Texas; three step-daughters, Gayla Belcher of Horatio, Teresa Law of Ratcliff, Arkansas and Dawn Smith of Gillham; two sisters, Helen Lightfoot and Patsy Alexander; two brothers, Jerrell Griffin and Chestine Griffin all of Dierks and one grandson, Patrick Griffin.

Graveside Funeral Services for Mr. Griffin will be held at10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 17, 2012 in the Dierks Cemetery with Rev. Rusty Ross officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 16th at the funeral home in Dierks.

Flossie Marlene Young

Flossie Marlene Young, age 80, a resident of Gillham, Arkansas, died Saturday, October 13, 2012 in the De Queen Medical Center.

She was born July 23, 1932 in Bonham, Texas. She was a former employee of Baldwin Piano Company, was a homemaker, a member of the Gideons and the First Assembly of God in De Queen.

Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Nell Evans Butler; her husband, Douglas Eugene Young in 2010; and two daughters, Karen Taylor and Susan Young.

She is survived by one son, Donavan Douglas Young of King, AR; one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Darrell Payne, also of King; one sister, Marie Lewis of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren and their spouses, Sharrell and Jeremy Pearce, Aliesha and Tim Thornton, and Nicholas and Jamie Payne; and her great grandchildren, Tyler, Quinton, Chase, Payne, Lakin and Luke.

Funeral services for Mrs. Young will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2012 in the First Assembly of God Church in De Queen with Rev. Ray Reynolds and Rev. Kent Irvan officiating. Burial will follow in the Gillham Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2012 at the funeral home.

Donations may be made to the First Assembly of God building fund or the Gideons Camp.

Lillie E. Wilson

Lillie E. Wilson, 72, of Broken Bow, passed away October 11, 2012 in Paris, Texas.

She was born March 22, 1940 in Broken Bow, the daughter of Samuel and Ethel Laxton Strahan.

Lillie had lived in McCurtain County most of her life and was a member of Springs of Light Church. She was a Provider and enjoyed needlepoint and cooking.

Lillie and William Wilson were united in marriage in May of 1962 and they shared 50 years together.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Lee Halter and Lavon Hutchison.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband William of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Debra Wilson of Idabel, Mike and Sheila Wilson of DeQueen, AR and Danny and Sandy Wilson of Wickes, AR; grandchildren, Christopher Wilson, Cody Wilson, Brook Wilson, Grant Wilson, Christopher Hester, Beau Hughes and Jamie Fulsom; great-grandchildren, Haylan Boyd, Carsin Wilson, Cale Fulsom, Caleb Fulsom and Makenna Fulsom.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 12, 2012 from 5 to 7 pm at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 10:30am at Bunch-Singleton Chapel. Interment will follow at Holly Creek Cemetery under the direction of Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home of Broken Bow.

Nora Willie Borden Neel

Nora Willie Borden Neel, age 87 a resident of Horatio, died Tuesday, October 9, 2012 in Dierks, after a lengthy illness.

She was the daughter of Alonzo and Lottie Smith Borden. She was born on November 20, 1924 in Cerro Gordo, Arkansas. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Horatio.

Mrs. Neel was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Louie Lazenby.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Borden and Debbi Neel of Horatio: two grand-daughters, Leslie Click of Genoa, Arkansas and Sydney Neel of Little Rock, Arkansas; and a step-grandson, James Lindsey and his wife, Renda of Horatio; four great-grandchildren, Jacob Sims of Horatio, Mackenzie Plotner of Genoa, Ben Speight and Grace Speight both of Little Rock; three step-great-grandchildren, Morgyn Lindsey and Wyatt Lindsey both of Horatio and Austin Plotner of Durant, Oklahoma; one-great great-granddaughter, Hallie Sims of Horatio; three special nieces, Betty Russell of Cerro Gordo, Arkansas, Sharon Gatlin of Ashdown, Arkansas and Kaye Thornton of Foreman, Arkansas.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Neel will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 12, 2012 in the Horatio Church of Christ with Virgil Romine and Cy Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Horatio Cemetery under the direction Wilkerson funeral Home.

The family will be at the home of Borden and Debbi Neel, 205 Barnhart road in Horatio.

Sue Ellen Gray Jones

Mrs. Sue Ellen Gray Jones, age 66, a resident of De Queen, died Tuesday, October 9th In the Christus St. Michael Hospital, Texarkana.

She was born to Eddie and Lou Sharp Gray at De Queen, Arkansas, April 14, 1946. She was a 1965 De Queen High School graduated and received her Elementary Education Degree from Henderson State University in 1970. She was former teacher at the Grannis School System. Sue was a member of Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, and enjoyed reading, watching TV, and playing canasta.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, and in 2007, her husband, Howard Allen Jones.

She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Eddie Lou and Larry Watson of De Queen, three nephews, Jerry Brown and his wife, Tracie of Texarkana, Texas, Jason Brown, and his wife, Rebekah of Benton, Arkansas, and Luke Watson, and his wife, Diane of Elaine, Arkansas; two nieces, Jinger Brown of Atlanta, Georgia, and Julie Brown of De Queen.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Sue Jones will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 12th in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Hebert and Rev. Luke Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley Cemetery, Gillham, Ark. The family will receive friends at Chandler Funeral Home on Thursday, October 11th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Ray Still, Wayne Butler, Bill Lee, Orval Frachiseur, Orville Wayne Smith, and Wayne Smith. Memorials may be made to the Sevier County Historical Museum, Cossatot Arts and Crafts, or the Arkansas Domestic Violence.
