Dillard

ST. PETERS Mo. -- Charles F. Dillard, 75, of St. Peters died Friday, Aug. 6, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Born at Jonesboro, he had served in the Army and as a missionary. He was of the Assembly of God belief.

Survivors include his wife, Lavada Byars Dillard of St. Peters; two daughters, Shari Stevens of Arnold, Mo., and Neecie Rowan of Fort Gibson, Okla.; four brothers, Don Dillard of McDougal, Millard Dillard of Morehouse, Mo., Bill Dillard of Yucon, Okla., and Jerry Dillard of Highridge, Mo.; two sisters, Mildred Forrest of Corning and Anna Ramber of Bacliff, Texas; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Dollie Sneed Dillard, one brother, two sisters and one grandson.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Ermert Funeral Home at Corning. Burial will follow in Post Oak Cemetery at McDougal.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Huckabee

CARDWELL, Mo. -- Graveside services for Georgia Huckabee, 69, of Cardwell, who died Saturday, Aug. 7, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center, have been scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at New Friendship Cemetery.

Wayne Clemens will officiate. Mitchell Funeral Home of Paragould is in charge of arrangements.

She was a retired cook and was of the Pentecostal belief.

Survivors include three sons, Lonnie Joe Huckabee of Arbyrd, Mo., Thomas Henry Huckabee of Cardwell and Michael A. Huckabee of Sebring, Fla.; three daughters, Kathleen Huckabee and Calleen Mantel, both of Centertown, Mo., and Linda Davis of Arbyrd; two brothers, Robert Bateman of Paragould and Ronald Bateman of Gainesville; four sisters, Shirley Gillum and Barbara Franklin, both of Gainesville, Peggy Huckabee of Arbyrd and Ethel Rippy of Paragould; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Teresa Bullock, five brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Irvin

Joan Sides Irvin, 70, of Jonesboro died Saturday, July 7, at NEA Medical Center.

A lifelong resident of Jonesboro, she had worked as an office manager for McDaniel Construction Co. and also had worked at Citizen's Bank. She was a member of Trinity Church.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Irvin of the home; one son, Rick "Butch" Irvin of Jonesboro; one daughter, Terri Irvin Roth of Tulsa, Okla.; her mother, Aliaum Sides of Jonesboro; and one brother, Junior Sides of Linden, Tenn.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro is in charge of arrangements.

Jones

WEINER -- Elias Patrick Jones, 78, of Weiner died Saturday, Aug. 7, at Jonesboro.

Born at Pitts, he worked in maintenance for the Weiner School District and was a member of the Church of Christ at Weiner.

Survivors include his wife, Delores "Dee" Williams Jones of Weiner; four sons, Tommy Jones, Roger Jones and Farrell Jones, all of Weiner, and David Jones of Jonesboro; one daughter, Terry Johnson of Beedeville; one brother, Martin Owen Jones of Paragould; 10 grandchildren, Alex Jones, Zach Jones, Jay Drope, Brad Drope, Shae Drope, Stacey Kieffer, Bryan Kieffer, Ashley Crawford, John Johnson and Elizabeth Johnson; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rollie O. and Savannah Rouessele Jones, one brother and one sister.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Jackson's Newport Funeral Home, with Alvis Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Holloway Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will include Charlie Jones, Brian Williams, Danny Jones, Allen Jones, Adam Bodeker, Tony Ramsey, Tony Newberry and Kennie Fahr.

Honorary pallbearers will include Melvin Kieffer, Ino Rennicke, Max Densmore, Larry Blight and Virgil Bolden Jr.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Oldham

PORTIA -- Lola Helen Parker Oldham, 91, of Portia died Sunday, Aug. 8, at St. Bernard's Medical Center.

She was a homemaker and had lived in Lawrence County most of her life. She had lived in Rockford, Ill., for 18 years, returning to Lawrence County in 1973.

Survivors include four sons, Billy Oldham of Imboden, Mickey Oldham of Rockford, Dale Oldham of Lynn and Don Oldham of Stillman Valley, Ill.; one daughter, Helen Johnson of Walnut Ridge; two sisters, Alma Jones of Alicia and Gladys Hoffman of Walnut Ridge; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of House-Gregg Funeral Home at Walnut Ridge, with Jerry Pentecost officiating. Burial will follow in Old Lebanon Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Richardson

ROGERS -- Willie Gean Richardson, 78, of Rogers, formerly of Swifton, died Sunday, Aug. 8, at Rogers.

Born at Swifton, she was a homemaker and was of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include three sons, Herb Richardson and Tim Richardson, both of Springdale, and Jim Richardson of Rogers; four daughters, Peggy Shands and Ruth Ann Koss, both of Indianapolis, Lisa Lovejoy of Fayetteville and Margaret Richardson Ford of Kingston; one sister, Birtie Lee York of Walnut Ridge; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Herbert Richardson, and her parents, William Henry "Red" and Rosetta Smith Moskop.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Jackson's Newport Funeral Home, with David Decker officiating. Burial will follow in Swifton Cemetery.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Samson

SALEM -- Letitia Rhea Ducker Samson, 35, of Salem died Friday, Aug. 5, at Rogers.

She was a waitress and a member of Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include one son, David Anthony Samson of Austin, Texas; a daughter, Shanti Rhea Samson of Austin; her mother, Rhea Ducker of Salem; one sister, Twylla Jackson of Little Rock; and one brother, Herschel Ducker of Salem.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. David Ducker, and one sister.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Barker Funeral Home at Salem, with the Rev. Bobby Coleman and the Rev. Garland Skidmore officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Ruth Skrapates, Debi Sutherland, Susie James, Rhonda Robbins, Celeste Garza, Joetha Broyles, Shannon Young, Jo Ann Cunningham, Raylene Pleasant and Heather Lomozoff.

Honorary pallbearers will include Marx Prince, Dr. Jim Bozeman, Rick Pitchford, Stanley York, Brian Martin and Junior Fortner.

Memorials may be made to the general fund of the Salem Cemetery Association.

No visitation has been scheduled.

Young

SALEM -- Darlene Ardela Young, 70, of Salem died Saturday, Aug. 7, at her home.

She was a homemaker and a member of Ash Flat Church of Christ, where she worked as a volunteer in the church's clothing store. She also was a volunteer at Salem Head Start and with Salem Girl Scouts.

Survivors include three sons, Ray Young and Ron Young, both of Salem, and Martin Wagner of Little Falls, Minn.; four daughters, Luella Kempfer of Marble Hill, Mo., Althea Cash of Banning, Calif., Wanda Johnson of Monett, Mo., and Norma Webb of Eucha, Okla.; one sister, Edith Branstead of Iowa; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark D. Young, and one son.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today in Humphries Cemetery at Glencoe, with Keith Gregson officiating. Barker Funeral Home of Salem is in charge of arrangements.

No visitation has been scheduled.
