Boling

PARAGOULD -- Opal Orma Boling, 86, of Paragould died Sunday, Sept. 5, in Paragould.

Born at Osceola, she was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Cleatus M. Boling of Oliver Springs, Tenn., Norman V. Boling of Paragould and Keevin K. Boling of Ten Mile, Tenn.; a daughter, Tonia Manley of Paragould; four brothers, Charles M. Good of Rialto, Calif., Summer A. Good of Waterford, Calif., Ivory Good of Springfield, Mo., and Winston Carlyle Good of Fort Ogden, Fla.; two sisters, Sunshine Bales of West Plains, Mo., and Johnnie Faye Hurt of Forrest City; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman V. Boling; one son, Charles J. Boling; one daughter, Donna Faye Boling; her parents, John and Myrtle Good; four brothers; and one sister.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Pine Log Cemetery at Brookland, with Ivory Good officiating. Mitchell Funeral Home of Paragould is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1:15 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Brannon

LEPANTO -- Dennis Wayne Brannon, 55, of Lepanto died Monday, Sept. 6, at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis.

He was a farmer and a car salesman who received a Chrysler Gold Award for salesmanship. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include a son, Scott Jones of Etowah; three daughters, Reanna Yarbrough of Trumann and Alicia Taylor and Tiffany Ann Brannon, both of Keiser; his mother, Geneva Brannon of Mountain View; a brother, Clint Brannon of Lepanto; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Neals Chapel Church at Lepanto, with Phillip Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Potter Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Murphy Funeral Home in Lepanto.

Pallbearers will include Vernon Lee, Jeff Bonds, Carey Johnson, Charlie Johnson, Charles Chrisco and Oscar Gonzalez.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today at the church.

Cook

Willie E. "Dutch" Cook, 79, of Jonesboro died Monday, Sept. 6, at St. Bernard's Medical Center.

Born at Jonesboro, he had lived in Jonesboro since 1985 and previously lived in California. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lena Sue Gambill Cook of the home; one son, John Eddie Cook of Jonesboro; and one brother, John F. Cook of Little Rock.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mathel Sprinkle Cook, and one brother.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home chapel, with Robert Gunnels officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will include Harold Boulard, Randy Dixon, Elmo Mayhan, Eldon Harrell, Don Coleman and Arnold Allen.

Gaither Cooper and Albert Allen will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Bethany Baptist Church or Pine Log Cemetery Association.

King

ASH FLAT -- Funeral services for Angela Lea Arnold King, 36, of Ash Flat, who died Thursday, Sept. 2, at St. John's Medical Center in Springfield, Mo., have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel in Hardy.

Phil Huggins will officiate, and burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.

Born at Fort Rucker, Ala., she was a 1986 graduate of Highland High School and worked as a licensed practical nurse for Shady Oaks Health Care System in Thayer, Mo. She attended New Haven Baptist Church near Ash Flat.

Survivors include her husband, Michael King of the home; two sons, Anthony Whited and Ryan Whited, both of the home; a daughter, Lea Ann Whited of Evening Shade; a stepson, William King of the home; her mother, Ruby Nadine Arnold of Ash Flat; a brother, James Ray Arnold; two sisters, Vera Nadine Zortman of Manitowoc, Wis., and Cindy Ann Goodin of Little Rock.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Henry Arnold, and her grandparents, James and Vera Arnold and George and Fern Henry.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

McEntire

BROOKLAND -- Eva Amelia McEntire, 93, of Brookland died Monday, Sept. 6, at St. Bernard's Medical Center.

Born at Williford, she had lived in Brookland for the last 15 years and was of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Whitlow of Brookland and Ora Mae Tibbs of Jonesboro; one brother, R.S. Stewart of Paragould; three sisters, Christine McDaniel and Thelma Barton, both of Paragould, and Nett Qualls of Monette; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee McEntire, and a son, Cletis McEntire.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Pine Log Cemetery, with G.W. Allison officiating. Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mondy

KILLEEN, Texas -- Juanita M. Mondy, 69, of Killeen, formerly of Walnut Ridge, died Saturday, Sept. 4, at her home.

Born at Rolla, Mo., she had worked as a model and as an inspector for R & M Kaufman in Aurora, Ill., before moving to Killeen in 1980.

She was a member of the Church of Christ of Killeen.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph Mondy of the home.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday in Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery, with Darrell Douglas officiating. Higginbotham Funeral Service of Walnut Ridge is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Owen

NEWPORT -- Deloris Dian Owen, 48, of Newport died Saturday, Sept. 4, at her residence.

She was born in McDonald County, Mo.

She had no immediate survivors.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Newport, with the Rev. Charles Sigman officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Jackson's Newport Funeral Home.

No visitation has been scheduled.

Pierce

MESA, Ariz. -- Alfred Steven Pierce, 87, of Mesa, formerly of Jonesboro, died Thursday, Sept. 2.

Born in Dayton, Mo., he had worked as a manager for a citrus farm in Mesa, and following his retirement, spent time in Snowflake, Ariz.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Lee Pierce of Mesa; three sons, Bob Pierce and David Pierce, both of Snowflake, and John Pierce of Mesa; three daughters, Debi Tipton and Linda Hoffman, both of Mesa, and Betty Weissman of Glendale, Ariz.; 22 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Bill Pierce.

Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Bunker's University Chapel in Mesa. Burial was in Mesa.
