McMurry

LAKE CITY -- Ricky Kevin McMurry, 42, of Lake City died Friday, Sept. 17, near Lake City.

Born in Jonesboro, he was a lifelong resident of Lake City and had worked as a machinist.

Survivors include his wife, Stephanie McMurry of Lake City; one son, Travis McMurry of Lake City; two daughters, Sheena Thompson of Jonesboro and Cheyenne McMurry of Lake City; his parents, Trumann and Billie McMurry, both of Lake City; one sister, Ann Davis of Lake City; and one grandson, Adian Thompson of Jonesboro.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cardwell, Mo., Cemetery, with Raymond Clark officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Sides

BEEDEVILLE -- Ricky Eugene Sides, 39, of Beedeville died Sunday, Sept. 19, at Searcy.

Born at Forrest City, he earned a degree in diesel mechanics from White River Vocational-Technical School and was a self-employed farmer. He was a member of New Life Church of God in Newport.

Survivors include his wife, Traci Michelle Hill Sides of Beedeville; two stepsons, Dustin DeWhitt and Decoda DeWhitt, both of Beedeville; one stepdaughter, Terra DeWhitt of Beedeville; his mother, Alice Jean Clark of Beedeville; one brother, Gary Wayne Sides of Beedeville; and his grandmother, Alice Carnail Jacobs Gaskins of Beedeville.

He was preceded in death by his father, James William Sides, and his grandfather, Robert Louie Gaskins.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at New Life Church of God in Newport, with the Rev. Tim Bumpous officiating. Burial will follow in Eightmile Cemetery under the direction of Jackson's Newport Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will include Bob Wayne Meridith, Jeremy Runion, Eddie Lowe, Michael Lowe, Jimmy McCea, Dinkey Driver and Charles Walls.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.

Smith

TUCKERMAN -- Mabel Beatrice Smith, 86, of Tuckerman died Sunday, Sept. 19, in Newark.

She was a homemaker and a member of Tuckerman Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, Jimmy Smith of Newark; two daughters, Bobbie Carlene Holleny of Pitman, N.J., and Mira Lazarus of St. Louis; a sister, Allene Sharp of Tuckerman; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Thomas Smith; two infant children; her parents, Grover Cleveland Ray and Julia Ann Houchin Browning; four brothers; and one sister.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Tuckerman Church of Christ, with Dennis Tucker officiating. Dillinger Funeral Home of Newport will be in charge of private burial services.

Visitation will be from 5:30-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Taylor

McCRORY -- Alice B. Smith Taylor, 84, of McCrory died Sunday, Sept. 19, at White County Medical Center in Searcy.

Born at Tilton, she was a homemaker and a member of Citizenship Church of Christ.

Survivors include three sons, Eddie Taylor and Johnny Taylor, both of McCrory, and James Taylor of Conway; four daughters, Minnie Little of Beedeville, Janet Hess and Mary McCullough, both of McCrory, and Ann White of Tampa, Fla.; 21 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Quinton Taylor, and her parents, Guy William and Minnie Bell Betts Smith.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Citizenship Church of Christ near Beedeville. Burial will follow in Fakes Chapel Cemetery at McCrory under the direction of Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home of McCrory.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Winemiller

SWIFTON -- Lucille Winemiller, 75, of Swifton died Monday, Sept. 20, at Walnut Ridge.

Born at Swifton, she owned and operated Lucille's Florist at Tuckerman and was a member of Glenn Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, R.W. "Junior" Winemiller of Swifton; three sons, Rufus Winemiller III, Steve Winemiller and Tim Winemiller, all of Swifton; one daughter, Carolyn Brown of Swifton; seven sisters, Vernice Schanfish of Ohio, Retha Runsick of Jonesboro, Wanda New of Conway, Gladys Smith of Texas, Loretta Smith and Linda Black, both of Kansas, and Pat Smith of Virginia; seven grandchildren, Louis Brown Jr., Annissa Brown Wann, Meghan Winemiller, Amy Winemiller, Dillon Winemiller, Lindsey Winemiller and Andy Winemiller; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Louise Weaver Smith, two brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Jackson's Newport Funeral Home chapel, with James Duvall officiating. Burial will follow in Dowell's Chapel Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will include Bill Huffman, Bobby Holt, Marty Hutchinson, Nick Templeton, Ricky Midgett and Larry Hedrick.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Yarbrough

GADSDEN, Ala. -- Raymond Yarbrough, 78, of Gadsden, formerly of the Harrisburg area, died Sunday, Sept. 19, in Gadsden.

Arrangements will be announced by Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home.

Adams

POCAHONTAS -- Esther Adams, 99, of Pocahontas died Friday, Oct. 8, at Randolph County Medical Center.

Born at Center, she was a shipyard welder in California.

Survivors include a brother, John Huckabee of Festus, Mo.

She was preceded in death by one son, Burl Higginbottom, four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at McNabb Funeral Home of Pocahontas, with Melvin Shelton and Arvil Tribble officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Bassham

HARDY -- Dale Benton Bassham, 57, of Hardy died Friday, Oct. 8, at St. Bernard's Medical Center.

Born at Moko, he was an Air Force veteran and also served in the National Guard. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 432 in Hardy. A retired teacher, he taught at Thayer, Mo., for three years before going to work at Highland High School. He taught social studies and became a counselor at Highland, and worked there for 24 years before retiring in 2003. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and served as a deacon.

Survivors include his wife, Debby Bassham of the home; two sons, Brett Bassham and Jared Bassham, both of Jonesboro; a brother, Russell Bassham of Hardy; and a sister, Carol Bates of Hardy.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at New Hope Baptist Church near Hardy, with Troy Harvey officiating. Burial will be in Wirth Cemetery under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel.

Active pallbearers will be Darren Bates, David Ladd, Gerry Marcum, Rick Metcalf, Wendall Jines and James Nicholson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Wood, Cleveland Allen, Howard Eldridge, John Busby and James Bates.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the church.

Memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church.

Bollinger

Robert "Bob" Bollinger, 66, of Jonesboro died Saturday, Oct. 9, at his home.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Emerson Funeral Home.

Falls

OSCEOLA -- Donnie Ray Falls, 50, of Osceola died Thursday, Oct. 7, at Methodist Healthcare University at Memphis.

Born at Osceola, he was employed at Cyro Industries and of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include his wife, Donella Falls of Osceola; one daughter, Shateela Falls of Osceola; four sons, Rodney Falls of Jacksonville, Fla., Freddie Brown of Flint, Mich., and Donnie Falls and Christopher Falls, both of Osceola; one sister, Virgeania Wilson of Orlando, Fla.; one brother, Leonard Charles Lewis of Orlando; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church at Osceola, with the Rev. M.L. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Whiteside Cemetery under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home of Osceola.
