Billie Jean Harvey
Billie Jean (Lucas) Harvey, 67, of Casa, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007.
She was born Dec. 21, 1939, in Nacogdoches, Texas, a daughter of Arthur James Lucas and Oma Lee (Wade) Lucas. Mrs. Harvey was retired from Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism and of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Harvey of Casa; two sons, Billy L. Harvey II and wife Cindy of Russellville and James L. Harvey and wife Mariea of Adona; one daughter, Lisa Carol Garrett of Russell-ville; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
Mark Wegner
Mark Jesse Wegner, 77, of Huntington Beach, Calif, died Saturday, Aug. 29, 2007, in Portland, Ore.
He was born July 28, 1930, in Centralia, Wash., a son of Henry Wegner and Alice (Moore) Wegner. He was a retired brick mason. He was the father of the late Robert Lloyd “Bob” Weg-ner, a long-time resident of Perryville.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia (Bolick) Wegner; three sons, William “Joe” Wegner, Jesse Wegner, and Mike Weg-ner, all of California; one daughter, Diana (Wegner) Burkhart of Huntington Beach, Calif; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sept. 5 at Hilgenfeld Mortuary Chapel in Anaheim, Calif. Interment was at Good Shepherd Cemetery
in Huntington Beach, Calif.
Pallbearers were Ryan Evans, Jonas Schermerhorn, Michael Burkhart, Jeffrey Wegner, Mark Romero, and Donnie Pickett.
Robert Wilkinson
Robert “Bob” M. Wilkinson, 84, of Ottumwa, Iowa, and formerly of Springfield, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007.
He was born Feb. 19, 1923, in Melcher, Iowa, to Fred-rick and Evelyn (Mason) Wilkinson. He was a 1st Lieutenant in the Army Air Force as a B-24 pilot, serving in the Pacific Theatre in the 380th Bomb Group, 530th Squadron (the Flying Circus). He was a plant controller at John Morrell and Co. and a member of the First Christian Church in Ottumwa.
Survivors include his wife, Lela Jean (Lustman) Wilkinson; three daughters, Denise Jackson of Altoona, Iowa, Patty House of Perryville, and Beth Hendred of Ottumwa, Iowa; a sister, Eliza Wilkinson of Ottumwa.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 1 p.m. Saturday at the Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, with the Rev. Tom Carpe officiating. Burial was in Oakview Cemetery
in Albia, Iowa.
A memorial has been established to McCreery Cancer Center, 1001 Pennsylvania Ave., Ottumwa, IA 52501; or Hospice, 312 E. Alta Vista, Ottumwa, IA 52501.
Rea Lentz
Rea (Brents) Lentz, 96, of Cleveland, Ark., passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007. She was born April 22, 1911, in Cleveland, Ark., a daughter of Noah Sherman Brents and Bell (Wil-liams) Brents. She was a homemaker, faithful member of Cleveland Missionary Baptist Church, and the widow of Edgar Lentz.
Survivors include her daughters and their husbands, Lois and Eddie Flowers of Greenbrier and Martha and Thomas Eades of Center Ridge; grandchildren, Rebecca Flowers of Greenbrier, Jennifer Gainer and husband Darrin of Wooster, Deborah Granberry and husband Neil of Oppelo, and Thomas Eades and wife Constance of Choctaw; and great-grandsons, Kordell, Marcus, and Lee.
She was preceded in death by one son, Fred Lentz.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, at the Harris Chapel with Bro. Don Rock and Bro. Eddie Flowers officiating. Burial was at Brents Cemetery
by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.

Phyllis Sibley
Phyllis Merle (Allison) Sibley, 66, of Jackson, Ala., went to be with the Lord, Sept. 18, 2007.
She was born Nov. 28, 1940, in Perryville, Ark., to Merrell and Era Allison. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
In her life, she worked for Dalton Oil, Gary, Ind.; Perry County Bank; Allison Ford, Morrilton; Balch Oldsmobile, Little Rock; Perry County Sheriff’s Department, deputy sheriff/tax collector; First Baptist Church, Perryville, secretary/treasurer and pianist/-organist; Boise Cascade, Jackson; member of First Baptist Church, Jackson, where she sang in the FBC adult choir and helped with the FBC children’s choir; Jackson Health Action Red Hat Waterbugs; and Jackson Garden Club. She was a woman who loved the Lord, her family, life and people and had a smile always on her face.
Phyllis is preceded in death by father, Merrell Leroy Allison.
Survivors include husband, Alfred Sibley; daughters, Vicky Sibley Smith and husband Gene Smith of Lewisville, Ark.; son, Mark Sibley of Perryville, Ark.; Debra Diane Sibley-Randall and husband Bryant of Jackson; six grandchildren, Stephen Michael Dyar, Stephanie Michelle Dyar, Tyler Sibley, Dustin Sibley, Garrett Sibley and Kaylee Sibley; one step-granddaughter Chelsea Randall and grand-dog, Gizmo Randall; her mother, Era Allison; brothers, Carroll Allison and wife Kathy and Michael Allison and wife Patty; sister, Patricia Holland and husband Junior; brother-in-law, Billy Sibley and wife Jackie; and several nieces, nephews, an aunt, cousins, and close friends who will miss her very much.
Mrs. Sibley was transported to her hometown of Perryville, Ark., where there was a funeral service Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at First Baptist Church Perryville, Ark., at 10 a.m., followed with burial at Perryville Ragsdale Cemetery
by Harris Funeral Home of Perryville.
Pallbearers were Charles Stratton, Bobby Brown, Gus Jones, Terry McClenning, Herby Branscum, and Bufford Suffridge. Honorary pallbearers were Stephen Michael Dyar, and Anthony Tyler Sibley.

Janice Collins
Janice Mae (Williams) Collins, 59, of Springfield died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007.
She was born Jan. 14, 1948, in Morrilton, the daughter of Alvie and Ollie Pauline Williams. She was a graduate of the Wonderview High School and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Bill Collins; one son, Billy Collins of Springfield; three brothers, Bob Williams of Morrilton, Curtis Williams of Morrilton and Burkie Williams of Center Ridge; one sister, Juanita Tiner of Benton; and two grandsons.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at the Middelton Cemetery.
Lawandell McArthur
Lawandell (Owen) McArthur, 84, of Pine Bluff, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007.
She was born Aug. 14, 1923, in Roland, a daughter of Everett Emory Owen and Virginia Clementine (Stapleton) Owen. She was the widow of Claren Arlington McArthur.
There were no immediate survivors.

‘Bob’ Payne
Robert “Bob” Jackson Payne, 75, of Lehigh, Okla., died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007.
He was born Aug. 2, 1932, in Ola, a son of Leonard and Lucille Payne.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Payne; four sons, Rusty Payne of Deland, Fla., Randy Payne of Dothen, Ala., Joe Payne of Oklahoma City, and Bobby Payne of Owasso, Okla.; two daughters, Mary Kidd of Duncan, Okla., and Angie Jones of Lehigh, Okla.; five sisters, Ruby Jo Taylor of Fresno, Calif., Cathy Campbell of Memphis, Tenn., Liz Pitts and Frankie Wilson, both of Ola, and Rosie Swaffar of Morrilton; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. Saturday at Brown’s Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Bill Weathers. Burial was at Lehigh Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Rusty Payne, Jason Watson, Keith Horn, Joe Williams, Rick Williams, and Ken Solvey. Honorary pallbearers were Ike Traylor, John Garlett, and Willie Swaffar.
Kay Thomas
Kay L. Thomas, 70, of Jerusalem, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007.
She was born Sept. 28, 1936, in Scotland, Ark., the daughter of Lono and Amelia (Driver) Adams. She was a member of the Jerusalem Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Carlton Thomas; one daughter, Kim Holt; two sons, Timothy Thomas of Lanty and Scott Thomas of Palmer, Alaska; one brother, Lono Adams of Springhill; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was 10 a.m. Saturday at Cedar Creek Cemetery

Douglas Eddy
Douglas McArthur Eddy, 64, of Bigelow, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2007.
He was born Aug. 24, 1943, in Houston, to the late James Alexander Eddy and Ruth Marie Price. He was preceded in death by a son, Jerald Lee Eddy; sister, Elizabeth Ann Eddy; and brothers, Edward Leon Eddy and Alvie Eugene Eddy.
He was of the Baptist faith and a road foreman for Perry County.
Survivors are his son, Douglas W. Eddy of Bigelow; daughter, Sheri Banks of Conway; his children’s mother, Mary Eddy; four grandchildren, Sarah Eddy, Matthew Eddy, Brittany Mock and Jerald Mock; brothers, James Eddy of Perryville and Frank Eddy of Perry; and sisters, Patricia Lund of Havana and Brenda Ingles of Prescott.
Graveside services were 2 p.m. Thursday at Harper Cemetery
in Perryville with Brothers Stan Wallace and Joel Summers officiating. Arrangements were by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway, (501) 327-7727.
Martha Doughty
Martha Jewell (Taylor) Doughty, 77, of Perryville, passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007.
She was born July 7, 1930, in East Prarie, Mo., a daughter of William Fred Taylor and Nola Elizabeth (Roach) Taylor. She was a Christian of the Pentecostal faith and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Floyd E. Doughty of Perryville; daughters, Ann Adams of Perryville and Marilyn Adams of Concord, Calif.; seven sisters; three grandchildren, Angie Drennan of Paron, Katie Johnson of Perryville, and Matthew Adams of Concord, Calif.; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Doughty; and two brothers.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2007, at the Harris Chapel with Bro. James Bynum officiating. Burial was at Harmony Cemetery

Mary Ann Gardner
Mary Ann Gardner, 56, of Perryville died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007.
She was born Sept. 3, 1951, in Little Rock, a daughter of Ruben Harold Williams and Mary Frances (Wallace) Williams. Mrs. Gardner was the widow of Floyd Freeman Gardner, and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her father, Ruben Harold Williams of Benton; mother, Mary Frances (Wallace) Williams of Paron; brother, Dwight Williams of Benton, and sister, Alice Murrell of Arkadelphia.
Memorial services were 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Nimrod Cemetery. Arrangements were by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. O.
Robert Wilkinson
Robert “Bob” M. Wilkinson, 84, of 1110 E. Court, Ottumwa, IA., and formerly of Springfield, died at 9:10 p.m. September 19, 2007, at Hospice House in Ottumwa, IA.
He was born Feb. 19, 1923, in Melcher, IA., to Fredrick and Evelyn (Mason) Wilkinson. He married Lela Jean Lustman on Sept. 18, 1948, in Des Moines, IA.
A graduate of Ottumwa High School, he was a 1st Lieutenant in the Army Air Force as a B24 pilot, serving in the Pacific Theatre in the 380th Bomb Group; 530th Squadron (the Flying Circus). He worked in insurance in Des Moines before moving to Ottumwa in 1962 to work at John Morrell & Co. As a plant controller, he worked and traveled with John Morrell & Co. until his retirement in 1985.
He was a member of the First Christian Church in Ottumwa. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Denise (Paul) Jackson of Altoona, Patty (Baylor) House of Perryville, AR., and Beth Hendred of Ottumwa; six grandchildren, Kevin (Dawn) Jackson of Ankeny, Ryan Jackson of Las Vegas, N.V., J.B. House of McKinney, Texas, Stephanie (Josh) “House” Emery of Perryville, AR., and Chantel Wilkinson and Sierra Frazier both of Ottumwa; two great-grandchildren, Megan and Lane Emery; a sister, Eliza Wilkinson of Ottumwa; and a sister-in-law, Hazel Patterson of Des Moines.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard “Pat” Patterson; and a son-in-law, Anthony Hendred, Sr.

Opaline Masters
Opaline (Hill) Masters, 72, of Oppelo, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, after courageously fighting cancer.
She was born May 15, 1935, a daughter of Harry Hill and Sarah Opal (Horton) Cupp. Mrs. Masters was a real estate broker and housewife, member of the Morrilton First Baptist Church and General William Lewis Chapter of the D.A.R.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Charles “Buddy” Masters of Oppelo; five daughters, Becky Turney of Van Buren and children Robby and Kristin of Fayetteville, Belinda and husband Brian Wilson and children Sarah and Nathan of Norman, Okla., Katy and husband Jimmy Don Kellar and children Emily, James Austin, and Abby, all of Springfield, Elizabeth and husband Robert Woolsey and children Lauren, Daniel, and Anna, all of Ozark, and Jennifer and husband Shawn Halbrook and children Cade and Ashlyn, all of Morrilton; sister, Dorothy Holland of Morrilton; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Masters was preceded in death by granddaughter, Addison Caroline Halbrook; and son-in-law, Robert Turney.

Anna Bradshaw
Anna Leona Bradshaw, 84, of Morrilton, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2007.
She was born May 2, 1923, in Morrilton, a daughter of Tom Green and Annie Bell (Mimms) Green. She was the widow of Bennie Bradshaw and of the Free Will Baptist faith.
Survivors include one daughter, Thelma Shanshala of Sherwood; three brothers, Thomas E. Green and Herschel Green, both of Perry, and George Green of Hensley; one sister, Mary Williams of Perry; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday at Harris Chapel with the Rev. Robert Williams officiating. Burial was at Cedar Creek Cemetery

Dora Blasdel
Dora Lollace Williams Blasdel, 94, of Perryville, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2007.
She was born Dec. 18, 1912, in Houston, Ark., a daughter of Charles Abraham Williams and Maud (Huffustalar) Williams. She was the widow of Kenneth Gordon Blasdel and charter member of Perryville Second Baptist Church.
Survivors include one step-son, Jerry Lee Blasdel of Klamath Falls, Ore.; one brother, Woodrow Williams of North Little Rock; two step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Tuesday at Perryville Second Baptist Church. Burial was at Hope Cemetery
