Ermal A. Rush Woodward, 82, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, in a local nursing home. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bonanza Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.R. “Rose” Woodward.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday in Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Mountain View cemetery in Hackett.
She is survived by five daughters, Earnestine Mullen of Newark, Texas, Ruby Andrews of Jonesboro, Joyce Jones of Van Buren, Glenda Nichols of Fort Smith and Barbara Hatfield of Bonanza; three sons, Toney Biggers of Fort Worth, Texas, Henry Bearce of Charleston and Deamos Woodward of Farmington; 51 grandchildren, 102 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Ernie and Gary Randall, Joe Bearce, Chuck Weathers, James, David and Harold Dye, Jeff and Carl Pittman.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Harold Loyd Coleman
Harold Loyd Coleman, 78, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, in his residence. He was a veteran of World War II and worked in maintenance for General Electric. He was a member of Unity Missionary Baptist.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today in Fentress Mortuary Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Woodlawn cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Ann Coleman of the home; two daughters, Gayle and husband Jim Tindall and Becky Hewitt, all of Fort Smith; one sister, Alice Floyd of Houston; two brothers, Acel Coleman of Arkoma and Floyd Coleman of Barrington, R.I.; two grandchildren, September Hewitt of Fort Smith and London Hewitt of Conway.
Pallbearers will be Jim Tindall, Perry Davis, Scott Bates, Mark Self, Jessie Henry and Ron Hadley.
Margaret Ferrari Eads
Margaret Ferrari Eads, 73, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, in Fort Smith. She was a graduate of Durham Hall High School in St. Paul, Minn. and Maryville College in St. Louis. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fort Smith.
After a private burial at Holy Cross cemetery in Fort Smith, a memorial mass will be 11 a.m. today in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by her husband, William Martin Eads Jr. of Fort Smith; one daughter, Elizabeth Eads of Denver; two sons and daughter-in-law, William Martin Eads III and Mona York Eads of Fort Smith and Michael Cravens Eads of Boston; three grandchildren, Christopher William, Braden Joseph and Megan Elizabeth Eads, all of Fort Smith.

Manson Wiley Jr.
Manson Wiley Jr., 55, of Van Buren died Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, in his home. He was a 1963 graduate of Van Buren High School and attended the University of Arkansas. He was an engineer with the Union Pacific Railroad and a Air Force veteran and a Mason and a member of the UTU.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Gracelawn cemetery Arbor in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by one daughter, Valerie Wiley of Van Buren; one brother and sister-in-law, Dorvan and Mikie Wiley of Van Buren; six nieces, Caralynn Karney and Amanda and Stephanie Wiley, all of Van Buren, Marissa, Holly and Caitlin Hicks, all of Kibler; two nephews, Brad Wiley of Alma and Brett Wiley of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Allen Hessman, Gary Jones, Mark Polk, Donny Ponder, Mike Helmer and David Moore.
Linda Vaughn
Linda Vaughn, 58, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, in Fort Smith. She was an optician for the Eye Group, a member of Oak Cliff Baptist Church, a Sunday school teacher for the senior girls, a choir member and a member of the Sweet Adeline Ladies Barber Shop Quartet.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Oak Cliff Baptist Church with burial at White Rock cemetery in White Rock Community under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by one son, Shane Vaughn of Fort Smith; one sister, Cindy Fose of Fort Smith; and one nephew, Josh Fose of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be the men of Oak Cliff Baptist Church.
The family will visit with friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ralph Sullivent
SAND SPRINGS, Okla. — Ralph “Doc” Sullivent, 78, of Sand Springs, formerly of Alma, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, in Tulsa. He was retired from Meadow Gold Milk and owner of Park 51 Mobil Home Park. He was 32nd degree Mason and on the board of directors of Indian Electric Coop and president of the Board of Tulsa Rural Water Department No. 1. He was a member of Tanglewood Baptist Church where he was deacon. He was the widower of Nellie Sullivent.
Funeral was Wednesday in Tanglewood Baptist Church in Sand Springs, Okla., under the direction of Mobley, Dodson Funeral Home.
He is survived by two brothers, Paul Sullivent of Tulsa and James R. Sullivent of Augusta, Ga.
Pallbearers were Howard, Jimmy and Tommy Sullivent, Doug and Brian Watts and Eric Jones.
Faye Bales
SHERWOOD — Faye Bales, 81, of Sherwood, formerly of Cove, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, in North Little Rock. She was born Feb. 9, 1920, in Harlan County, Ky. She worked at Rohr Aircraft in Chula Vista, Calif., helping to build B-52 bombers, was a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Cove and was the widow of Bunyan Louis Springer and Charles Delmer Bales.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Old Mill in North Little Rock. Graveside service will be 4 p.m. at Pleasant Grove cemetery in Cove.
She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Egger of Mena, Brenda Campbell of Sherwood and Barbara Williams of North Little Rock; one son, Michael L. Springer of North Little Rock; 16 grandchildren, Debbie Smith of Cove, Dotti Mong of Stow, Mass., Lisa Fox of Kaufman, Texas, Jerry Fox of Burlington, N.J., Kathy McGuire of Bastrop, Texas, Scott Baldwin of Alexander, Louis, David, Nathan and Dane Springer, all of Little Rock, Stephanie Springer Hudson and Jada Jones both of North Little Rock, Jonathan Jewell of Mena, Spencer Campbell of Sherwood, Nicholas Cox of Waterloo, Iowa, and Amanda Williams of Columbia, Miss.; 18 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK — Nona Louise Alley Spradling, 79, of North Little Rock died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001. She was born Sept. 29, 1921, in Benton. She was a retired Little Rock Public School registered nurse and a member of Park Hill Presbyterian Church, the Circle of Joy Sunday school class, the Little Rock Chapter of AARP and Little Rock Retired Teacher’s Association.
Funeral will be noon today in Park Hill Presbyterian Church with burial at Rest Hills Memorial Park under the direction of Roller-Owens Funeral Home of North Little Rock.
She is survived by two brothers, Paul Alley of Benton and Charles Alley of Fort Smith; eight nieces, Lou Jane and Susan Wills, Toren and Ariel Adams, Melinda Alley, Sharon Guest, Julie McAlister and Trudie Moore; and eight nephews, Jack, Eli and Isaac Adams, Robbie Wills, Phil, Ronald, Gary and Calvin Alley.

TALIHINA — Harold Edward Schmidlin, 82, of Talihina, formerly of Panama, died Thursday, March 1, 2001, in Talihina. He was born March 9, 1918, in Detroit. He was a Army veteran of World War II, a member of VFW, a Mason, a tool and die machinist and was a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church, where he coached a little league baseball team.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Buck Creek Baptist Church with burial at Fairview cemetery in Panama under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
He is survived by one son, Philip H. Schmidlin of Hartland, Mich.

RUDY — Hubert Ray Duncan, 47, of Rudy died Thursday, March 1, 2001, in a local hospital. He was employed at Whirlpool and attended Kenner Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Mount McCurry cemetery in Rudy.
He is survived by his wife, Treyon; two daughters, Autumn Duncan of the home and Charity Duncan of Fayetteville; one stepdaughter, Angie Wilson of Bonanza; two sons, Manuel and Hubert Duncan Jr., both of Fayetteville; his mother, Thelma Duncan of Fort Smith; three sisters, Janette Bozeman, Marilyn Atkins and Jewel Dean Scheurer, all of Fort Smith; four brothers, Curtis and Jimmy Duncan, both of Fort Smith, and Jerry Don and Estan Duncan Jr., both of Van Buren; and seven grandchildren.

BOONEVILLE — Donald Robert Heathman, 78, of Booneville died Thursday, March 1, 2001, in his home. He was a lifetime member of V.F.W. and Disabled American Veteran and ex P.O.W organizations and the Adair Masonic Lodge No. 99 in Adair, Okla.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday in Roberts Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Booneville with burial at noon at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; two daughters, Joyce Wallace of Pryor, Okla., and Patricia Richardson of Booneville; one son, Donald Heathman Jr. of Booneville; one brother, James Easter Heathman of Matfield Green, Kan.; six grandchildren, Steven and Deanna Trout and Chaunnah Railey, Chris Dennis, Lisa Heathman and Maria Goode; four stepgrandchildren, Timothy and Melissa Wallace, Jim and Hyram Richardson; and 16 great-grandchildren.

OZARK — Glenn David “Jack” Nichols, 86, of Ozark died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, in his home. He was born July 4, 1914, in Cass. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a retired machinist.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Ozark Church of Christ with burial at Highland cemetery in Ozark under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie; one stepdaughter, Dixie Parker of Barling; two stepsons, Philip Forbus of Mobile, Ala., and Jerry Bassett of Killeen, Texas; and eight grandchildren, Jordon and Sydney Brown, both of Van Buren, Jennie and David Parker, both of Barling, Charity, Colton, Taylor and Ryan Pearce, all of Cedar Falls, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; one daughter, Romona Nelson of Van Buren; four sisters, Mary Rowlett, Linda, Gail and Michelle Selph, all of Fort Smith; six brothers, Leon Selph of Barling, Neal, Mark, Kenny and Jimmy Selph, all of Fort Smith, and Mike Selph of South Carolina; and six grandchildren.
