Linda Jackson, 47, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, in a local hospital.
Memorial service will be announced at a later date under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
She is survived by a daughter, Latisha Jordan of Shreveport, La.; a son, David Manning of Florida; three sisters, Barbara Mott of Sallisaw, Judy and Brenda Thompson, both of Fort Smith; three brothers, Kenneth, Bobby and Richard Mott, all of Fort Smith; and three grandchildren.
Donald Richard Robertson Sr.
Donald Richard Robertson Sr., 72, of Fort Smith entered into rest Tuesday, March 20, 2001, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born April 1, 1928, in Fort Smith, the son of Robert Lee and Martha Jane Van Allen Robertson. Donald was retired from the Department of Navy, a Navy veteran of the Korean War and attended Oak Cliff Baptist Church in Fort Smith. He is survived by his wife, Doris Jo of the home; a son, Donald Richard Robertson Jr. of Vacaville, Calif.; a stepson, Joe Dan Stewart of Van Buren; his mother, Martha Robertson of Fort Smith; three sisters, Doris Jean Wright of Santa Maria, Calif., Martha Jane Lawson of San Diego and Victoria Elizabeth Kendig of Waco, Texas; a brother, Jimmie Lee Robertson of Alexander; three grandchildren, Kevin Robertson of Walnut Creek, Calif., Jacob and Alisyn Robertson, both of Vacaville, Calif., and one stepgrandchild, Grayson Lee Stewart of Van Buren. Funeral will be 1 p.m. today in Oak Cliff Baptist Church, 3701 Gary St., Fort Smith, with burial at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith officiated by the Rev. Phil Whitten, music by Lyndell Hobbs. Lucile Sanders Patterson
Lucile Sanders Patterson, 87, died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at home in Clarksville. She is survived by a son, Dr. Jack Patterson of Clarksville; a daughter and son-in-law, Ann Patterson and Max Snowden, of Little Rock; a niece, Beth DuVall of Van Buren; four grandchildren, Jack T. Patterson II of Little Rock, Sharon Beth Amaral of Oak Harbor, Wash., Katherine Ann Patterson of Clarksville, and Scout Sanders Snowden of Little Rock; two great-grandchildren, Jason and Taylor Amaral of Oak Harbor, Wash.; a grandnephew, Evan DuVall of Van Buren; a grandniece, Sarah DuVall-Murray of Charlottesville, Va.; a great-grandnephew, Isaac Patrick Murray; and friend, Lisa Carlton of Clarksville.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, J.T. Patterson of Clarksville, and a sister, Maurine Sanders Patterson of Clarksville and Van Buren.
Lucile Patterson was born Nov. 21, 1913, to Virgil T. and Martha Redding Sanders of Hubbard, Texas. Growing up she helped her father in his grocery store. She attended the Hubbard schools and graduated from Hubbard High School in 1931. She worked 1 1/2 years for her father, who was city manager. She attended Hillsboro Junior College in Hillsboro, Texas, and later attended Draughon’s Business College in Dallas where she met her husband, J.T. The couple was married
Dec. 24, 1937, in Hubbard, the same year as her graduation from Draughon’s. She worked at Sears-Roebuck in Dallas until 1943, when she returned to Clarksville with her husband J.T. after his appointment as business manager for the University of the Ozarks.
Lucile held several positions at the University of the Ozarks, including that of registrar. She was active in many service organizations. She served on the Johnson County Peach Festival Board for many years. She was a 50-year member and past president of Chapter Q, P.E.O. and a member of Laureate Kappa Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi. Lucile was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Clarksville and served on the board of deacons. She was active in the Presbyterian Women’s Association. She was also a member of the Supper Club and enjoyed Tuesday evening bridge for many years. Her lifelong commitment to her husband and family was matched by a love for her community and friends.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Fritz Ehren, Harold Hyden, Ken McFerran, Ron Moore, Ken Sterling, Larry Stroud, Denton Tumbleson and Turner Whitson. Honorary pallbearers will be John Bock, Heartsill Hall, Reece and Robert Hudson, Harold Lewis, Stewart Willey, Horner Askins and Bob Moore.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. today in First Presbyterian Church in Clarksville, officiated by the Rev. Lance Jones. Burial will be at Woodland cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home of Clarksville.

Wayne Elkins
Wayne Elkins, 70, of Arkoma died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, in a local hospital. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a retired factory worker for Planters Peanuts and a member of the Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today in Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Cheryl Elkins of Fort Smith; a brother, Tommy Eatmon of Van Buren; a granddaughter, Carrie Elkins of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be Chuckie Carter, Tommy Smith, Mike Cox, Shawn Shackelford, Ashley Killion and Darrell Madison.

JEAN HONEYCUTT
MARBLE CITY — Jean Honeycutt, 72, of Marble City died Saturday, March 24, 2001, in Sallisaw. She attended the House of Praise Church in Marble City and Eatside Baptist Church in Sallisaw. She was the widow of Albert Honeycutt.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Mallory Funeral Home Chapel in Sallisaw with burial at Marble City cemetery.
She is survived by three daughters, Joyce Ann Sharp and Jennie Almeda Wilson, both of Hulbert, Okla., and Edna Elaine Bridgewater of Sallisaw; two sons, Teddie Joe Honeycutt and Albert Dean Honeycutt, both of Sallisaw; three sisters, Opal Regannon of Missouri and Doris Gibbons and Ruth Carr, both of Tulsa; one brother, Clyde McHenry of Washington state; 21 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David Chuculate, Leland Choate, James Cheater, Frank and Darren Girdner and Harry Breese.

Ronald Jason Baxter, 21, of Fort Smith died Saturday, March 24, in Fort Smith. He was a 1998 graduate of Southside High School and was employed by Gregorio’s Pizza. He was a Baptist.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Oak Cliff Baptist Church with burial at New Hope cemetery in Spiro, under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Lacy Robertson of Fort Smith; his mother, Karen Hamm of Fort Smith; his father, Ronald Baxter of Spiro; his stepfather, Gary Foster of Pocola; his maternal grandparents, Alice Lorene Berd and Fred and Lillie Carter, all of Spiro; his paternal grandmother, Vina Gray of Quinton, Okla.; his great-grandmother, Nora Lee Childress of Boise, Idaho; one sister, Jessica Baxter of Spiro; and two brothers, Joseph Baxter of Spiro and Ryan Foster of Fayetteville.

Charles Randy Grimm, 36, of Fort Smith died Thursday, March 22, 2001, in a Little Rock hospital. He was a self-employed RV mechanic.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Parks cemetery in Charleston under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
He is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Marie Grimm of Mulberry; his parents, Christina and Philip Sims of Fort Smith; three sisters, Carole Diane Grimm, Ami Grimm and Rebekah Richardson, all of Fort Smith; and four brothers, Daniel, Joshua and Doug, all of Fort Smith, and Kyle of Van Buren.
CLOA LEMING
Cloa E. Leming, 91, of Fort Smith died Friday, March 23, 2001, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker, a retired bookkeeper for Leming Construction Co., a member of Godard United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the Circle No. 2, an honorary member of the Administrative Board, a choir member, a Sunday school teacher, past president of the Fort Smith Garden Club and a former member of the Ladies’ Board of Methodist Village. She was the widow of Dwight Leming.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. today in Goddard United Methodist Church Chapel with private burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.

ROLAND — Jewel “J.R.” Rowland, 74, of Roland died Sunday, March 25, 2001, in Fort Smith. He was a retired lineman for Bell South Telephone and a veteran of World War II.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Roland City cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Kaye Rowland; two stepdaughters, Regina Kaye Hammonds of Roland and Darcy Ann Trotter of West Uniontown, Okla.; one sister, Virginia Poe of Copdova, Tenn.; two brothers, Guy and Charles, both of Memphis; and one grandchild.

Rocky Adamec, 65, of Fort Smith died Saturday, March 24, 2001, in Fort Smith. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, an Army veteran and a retired supervisor for Whirlpool Corp. after 38 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; four daughters, Shari Chronister of Van Buren, Gwyn Parish of Mansfield and Kim Corley and Traci Barker, both of Fort Smith; one son, Mike Adamec of Fort Smith; his mother and stepfather, Helene and Joe Musil of Riverside, Ill.; one sister, Barbara Doubek of Clairmont, Fla.; and four grandchildren.

GUNTER, Texas — Eleanor Hill, 83, of Gunter, Texas, died Thursday, March 22, 2001, in Gunter. She was secretary for First Baptist Church for 30 years.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at the U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
He is survived by two daughters, Roseanne Ellis of Richardson, Texas, and Eleanor Kay Copening of Orlando, Fla.; one son, Richard A. Hill of North Little Rock; and three grandchildren, Jeff Ellis of Richardson, Texas, Mike Copening of Orlando, Fla., and Allison Hester of North Little Rock.

OZARK — Eunice Harris, 100, of Ozark died Saturday, March 24, 2001, in an Ozark nursing home. She was a homemaker and a member of Ozark First Baptist Church and the Ozark Home Demonstration Club.

Amandia Brammer
Amandia Brammer, 89, of Van Buren, formerly of Rudy, died Sunday, March 25, 2001, in her home. She was a homemaker, a member of the Freewill Baptist faith and a lifetime resident of Crawford County. She was the widow of Joseph Newton Brammer.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clay and Sophronia Bowman; two brothers, Noah and Henry Bowman; and three sisters, Dretha Bowman, Almeida Vandiver and Betty Carney.
She is survived by one daughter, Sharron Jones of Van Buren; two sons, Walton C. Ballentine of Dallas and Richard L. “Dick” Brammer of Rudy; four sisters, Allene Hunter and Clayceail Brown, both of Van Buren, Margaret Burrow of Fort Smith and Elsie Coatney of Rudy; one brother, James “Bill” Bowman of Van Buren; four grandchildren, W.C. Ballentine, Rick Brammer, Karen Cooper and Joey E. Jones; three great-grandchildren, Terry and Chris Cooper and Nicholas Brammer; and several nieces and nephews.
