Oscar William Drake
Oscar William Drake, 78, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, Oct. 10, in a local hospital. He was a retired purchaser for Riverside Furniture Inc., a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday at the U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Jane) Weaver of Louisville, Ky.; two sons, Todd Drake of Muldrow and Jerry Drake of Phoenix; a niece, Marilyn Stauffer of Fort Smith; three grandchildren, Kyle Drake, Holly Dunn and Kim Drake; and a great-grandchild, Courtney Dunn.

Mildred “Bea” Hidde
Mildred “Bea” Hidde, 75, of Van Buren died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was the widow of Charlie Mills Hidde.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday in Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial at Roselawn cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by two daughters, Janie Spell and Brenda Habersetzer, both of Van Buren; two sisters, Mary McClain of Springfield, Mo., and Verna Graham of Van Buren; three brothers, Vernon Lowder Jr. of Little Rock, Bill Lowder of Cucamonga, Calif., and Lee Lowder of Van Buren; three grandchildren, Vernon Habersetzer of Fort Smith, Stephanie Ward of Conway and Minda Harp of Van Buren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chris Ward, Jim and Vernon Habersetzer, Brian Harp, Roger Graham and Larry Lowder.
The family will visit with friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Jerry Burrows
Jerry Burrows, 60, of Mulberry died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001, in a local hospital. He was employed at Therma-Tru and a member of Oak Bower Community Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Oak Bower cemetery in Mulberry.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline; two daughters, Debbie Johnson of Fort Smith and Nina Cagle of Van Buren; two stepdaughters, Dorothy Yakley of Grove, Okla., and June Schenieder of Mulberry; four sons, Clifford and Jarred, both of Van Buren, Gerald of Fowler, Colo. and Roger of Mulberry; a stepson, Thirl McCollum of Mulberry; three sisters, Alma Jean States of Prague, Okla., Nancy Brown of Earlsboro, Okla. and Joan Fischer of Jerome, Idaho; 17 grandchildren, 16, stepgrandchildren, five great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Honorary pallbearer will be Paul Curd.
A.C. “Al” Perceful
A.C. “Al” Perceful, 75, of Fort Smith entered into rest Monday, Oct. 15, 2001, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born Jan. 21, 1926, in Moffett, the son of the late Mount Vernon and Gracie Hester Perceful. A.C. was retired from Southwest Time Record after 42 years of service as a photo and engraving engineer, an Army World War II veteran, a member of the American Legion and of the Church of Christ faith. He is survived by his wife, Daisy Sarah Ann Perceful; one daughter, Cheryl Pitts of Fort Smith; three sons, A.C. Jr. and Dennis, both of Fort Smith, and Larry of Springdale; one sister, Edith Metcalf of Tulsa; two brothers, Billy Paul of Fayetteville and Donald Ray of Fort Smith; five grandchildren, Sarah and Scott Pitts Jr., Sonya, Shawn and Dustin Perceful and one great-grandchild, Mollie Perceful. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
William S. Renfroe, 80, of Tulsa died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, in Tulsa. He was a retired purchasing agent for Western Supply Company in Tulsa. He also was a former parts manager for Rhodes Chevrolet Company. He was formerly from Dyer and had lived in Tulsa since 1949.
Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. today at Dyer cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by several cousins, Scherry Sue Wiley and William Little, both of Van Buren, Zoma Givens of Walla Walla, Wash., and Elton Whitlow of Alma.
Pallbearers will be Paul Gifford, J.W. Harrison, Fred Loane, Ronald Fasipaur, Ed Nichols and Eddie Gatlin.
Terry Dugan
Terry Dugan, 42, of Fort Smith died Monday, Oct. 15, 2001, in her home. She was a machine operator for Arkansas Poly Inc. and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Rosary will be 7 p.m. today in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith.
Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial at Holy Cross cemetery in Fort Smith.
She is survived by her mother, Toni Wallace of Fort Smith; a sister, Robin Robinson of Fort Smith; a brother, Kevin Dugan and his wife, Sandy of Greenwood; two nieces, Autumn Robinson of Fort Smith and Sarah Peak of Greenwood. She was also survived by a number of aunts and uncles.
Pallbearers will be Ben and Jeff Gosey, Randy McGrew, Ty Lowry, Chuck Nix and Gary Weems.

Blanche Agnes Cox
Blanche Agnes Cox went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Cox, of the Freedom Community in Arkansas. She was born in Moline, Ill., July 5, 1912, the daughter of Katherine and Jacob Mohr and sister of Alvin, Lloyd, Norbert, Berdell, Richard and Robert, all whom have preceded her in death. She was also the sister of Loretta Dewitt of Bettendorf, Iowa, Theresa Shelangouski of Rapid City, Ill. and Lucille Kepple of Moline, Ill.
She is survived by daughters, Kathy Wood and husband, Larry, of Booneville, Joan Franklin of Greenwood and Mary Ann Womack of Hartford and sons, Jerre Cox and wife, Cindy, of Freedom Community and Ken Cox, also of Freedom Community. She was preceded in death by sons, Raymond Cox of Bluffton, Tom Cox of Bradenton, Fla., and Richard Cox of San Bernardino, Calif., and grandson, Stephen Greer of Booneville.
She is survived by grandchildren, Gary, Debbie, Melody, Jennifer, Monica, Bobby, Valerie, Jennifer, Tim, Paula, Brenda, Susie, Jeremy, Shawna, Michael, Laura, Rose, Billy, David and Kenny and 35 great-granchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Waldron and had been attending Our Lady of Assumption Church in Booneville. Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Jude Catholic Church in Waldron with burial at Freedom cemetery under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron. Rosary will be 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel.
She was our mother, grandma and best friend and will be sorely missed.
Everette Neal Luckenbaugh
Everette Neal Luckenbaugh, 64, of Fort Smith entered into rest Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, in a local hospital. He was born July 7, 1937, in Fort Smith, the son of Louie and Dorothy Kaemmerling Luckenbaugh. Everette was a retired electrician for Local Union No. 700, an Air Force veteran and attended Harvest Time Tabernacle. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Arlene of the home; two daughters, Kathy Thornburg of Arkoma and Susan Porter of Fayetteville; a son, Michael Luckenbaugh of Fort Smith; his father, Louie Luckenbaugh of Texarkana, Ark.; six grandchildren, Christian, Jonathan and Michael Thornburg, Brandon, Amy and Leah Luckenbaugh; and one great-grandchild, Lilly Thornburg. Funeral will be 3 p.m. today in Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, with burial at Oak cemetery in Fort Smith officiated by the Rev. Montey Parker. Pallbearers will be Brandon Luckenbaugh, Jonathan and Michael Thornburg, Jim Adams, Bryson Porter and Richard Robbins. Arrangements are under the directions of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.

Reba Lois Moore of Fort Smith died Monday, Oct. 15, 2001, in Claremore. She was a retired secretary for Ramsey Junior High School in Fort Smith and a member of Park Hill Church of Christ. She was the widow of Harvey Moore and preceded in death by her son, Tommy Moore.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Forest Park cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Sharon Moore of Tulsa; a sister, Madge Furstenburg of Huntington Beach, Calif.; three grandchildren, Jenny Dahlem of Charlottesville, Va., Michael Dahlem of New York and Jason and Amanda Moore of Tulsa, a daughter-in-law and husband, Priscilla and Dick Dahlen of Chadsford, Pa.

Elaine Davis, 62, of Van Buren died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2001, in her home. She was a quality control worker for Simmons Foods in Van Buren.
The body was cremated under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren. Memorial service will be set at a later date.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Davis; a daughter, Kayla and husband, Billy Hill of Van Buren; a son, Chuck Davis Jr. of the home; three brothers, Kenneth Rhinehart of Hawkins, Texas, Donnie Rhinehart of El Dorado and Charles Rhinehart of College Station, Texas; two grandsons, Carl and Sean Hill, both of Van Buren.

Elizabeth Nelle Scott, 73, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2001, in a local hospital. She was a retired cafeteria worker for the Fort Smith Public School system and a member of Oak Cliff Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Robbie Kreipke and a sister, Evelyn Bateman.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Edwards Van-Alm Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Woods Scott; two daughters, Connie E. Stewart of Barling and Lynn Scott of Fort Smith; three sons, Alan R. Scott of Fort Smith, Keith F. Scott of Van Buren and David R. Scott of Wichita, Kan.; two sisters, Doris Clyma of Van Buren and Jean Morris of Fort Smith; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She is survived by four daughters, Alberta Bearden and Velda Cain, both of Fort Smith, Donna Sue Key of Van Buren and Gail Daniel of Roland; two sons, Robert “Bud” Chance of Fort Smith and Gary Chance of Van Buren; a brother, Raymond Harvey of Claremore, Oklahoma; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at cemetery Ridge in Ozark under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
She is survived by her husband, J.C.; a daughter, Dovie Juanita Abney of Ozark; three sons, Kensey D. and Shelby Gene Chancey, both of Ozark, and Lindy Lee “Red” Chancey of Mule Shoe, Texas; a sister, Fannie Inman of San Diego; a brother, Jim Gates of Oxnard, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Calhoun
MARLOW, Okla. — Dorothy “Dottie” Kay Calhoun, 45, of Marlow, Okla., died Friday, Oct. 12, 2001, in Lawton, Okla. She was born May 1, 1956, in San Diego. She was a 1974 graduate of Northside High School in Fort Smith and was a care giver.
Funeral was held Monday in Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Marlow, Okla. Burial was Tuesday at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith.
She is survived by her parents, B.J. and Edna Calhoun of Marlow, Okla.; two sisters, Terrye Oxford and Jeri Condry, both of Fort Smith; a brother, David Calhoun of Van Buren; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Chris, Charles and Jeremy Oxford, Waymond McGee, Harry Sanders, Geoffrey and Aaron Calhoun.

POTEAU — Lee Wald Marquardt, 66, of Poteau, formerly of Dallas, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001, in Poteau. He was born Sept. 9, 1935, in Oak Park, Ill. He was a retired manager of Data Processing for the 7-Eleven Inc.
Memorial service will be 6 p.m. Friday in Restland Funeral Home Chapel in Dallas. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
He is survived by his wife, Beth; two sons, Craig Marquardt of Summerfield and Keith Marquardt of Tulsa; a brother, Richard Marquardt of Schaumburg, Ill.; his mother, Marie Bender; and three grandchildren, Claire, Elyse and Kade Marquardt.
