Risenhoover
HOUSE SPRINGS, Mo. -- Lonnie R. "Lon" Risenhoover, 62, of House Springs died Saturday, Dec. 25, at his residence.
Born in Maynard, he received bachelor's and master's degrees from Arkansas State University and was a teacher, counselor and coach at Northwest R-1 School District in House Springs for 29 years.
Survivors include his wife, Andrea M. Evans Risenhoover of House Springs; a son, Charles Risenhoover of Pocahontas; a daughter, Leah Suzanne Risenhoover of O'Fallon, Mo.; a brother, James Risenhoover of Biggers, and a sister, Shirley Tilley of Reyno.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John D. and Thelma Creason Risenhoover, and four brothers and sisters.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home of Pocahontas. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Gardens at Pocahontas.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Russell
PARAGOULD -- Graveside services for Gary D. Russell, 42, of Paragould, who died Friday, Dec. 24, at his residence, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Morrow Cemetery.
The Rev. Bill Snow will officiate. Burial will be under the direction of Heath Funeral Home of Paragould.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Born at Stanford, he was a graduate of Greene County Tech High School and was a general laborer at Stevens Turf Farm.
Survivors include six brothers, Sam Russell of Marston, Mo., Robert Russell of Cave Junction, Ore., Allen Russell of Stonewall, and Carl Russell, Jim Russell and Steve Russell, all of Paragould, and three sisters, Linda Fisher, Faye Rose and Marilyn Chamberlain, all of Paragould.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonzo and Marie Walker Russell, three brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Saffell
Rufus Voage Saffell, 101, of Jonesboro died Saturday, Dec. 25, at Rose Skill Care Nursing Home.
Born in Egypt, he was a lifetime resident of Northeast Arkansas, a retired farmer and school bus driver and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include a son, Donald Ray Saffell of Van Buren; three daughters, Wanda Keltner of Bridgman, Mich., Bernice Jones Henry of Jonesboro and Lucille Emmons of Evans, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Trudie Pierce Saffell; his parents, Samuel L. Saffell and Molly Butler Saffell, and two brothers.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, with Gary Gipson officiating. Burial will follow in Keller's Chapel Cemetery.
Grandson Larry Jones and nephews George Pierce, Royce Pierce, Joe Pierce, Gaylon Pierce and Randall Pierce will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Settlemoir
ST. FRANCIS -- Don Settlemoir, 66, of St. Francis died Sunday, Dec. 26, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.
He was born at St. Francis.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Settlemoir of St. Francis; a daughter, Melanie LaDawn Midkiff of Piggott; one son, Anthony Boyd Settlemoir of Campbell, Mo., and two grandchildren, Jessica Lauren Midkiff and William Chase Midkiff.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orla M. and Ada Boyd Settlemoir, and one brother.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today in the chapel of Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, with Loy Culver and Davey Winberry officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery.
Simich
CHEROKEE VILLAGE -- Berenice Marie Simich, 81, of Cherokee Village, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, at her home.
Born in St. Paul, Minn., she was a retired executive secretary for the 3M Co. and had lived in Cherokee Village for 17 years. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband, Zika Simich of the home; four sons, William Hoffman of Cloquet, Minn., Robert Hoffman of Park Rapids, Minn., Jeffrey Hoffman of Pine City, Minn., and Stephen Hoffman of Angola, Ind.; one stepson, Alexander Simich of Escondito, Calif.; five brothers, Robert Thiry and Harold Thiry, both of Pine City, Richard Thiry of Cambridge, Minn., Jerry Thiry of Hayward, Wis., and Allen Thiry of Forest Lake, Minn.; two sisters, Eleanor Summers of Atlanta and Alice Jean Hubr of Minneapolis, and nine grandchildren.
A memorial mass will be held at a later date. Arrangements will be under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland.
The family asks that memorials be made to charity of the donor's choice.
Taylor
WILLIFORD -- Blanche Taylor, 89, of Williford died Sunday, Dec. 26, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Born in Trumann, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Sharp of Jonesboro and Mary Honeycutt of Ozark Acres; three sons, Hayden Taylor and Keith Taylor, both of Williford, and Herchel Taylor of Pickwick Dam, Tenn.; a sister, Ruby Peebles of California; three half sisters; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herchel Comptents Taylor; her parents, John and Dora Frailey Petty; two half sisters and one half brother.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Higginbotham Funeral Service of Hardy, with Floyd Rikard officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery
at Jonesboro.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Tosh
LaFoy M. Tosh, 58, of Jonesboro died Sunday, Dec. 26, at NEA Medical Center.
A native and lifelong resident of Jonesboro, he was an accountant and member of Friendly Hope Baptist Church. He was an Air Force veteran and a 1962 graduate of Valley View High School.
Survivors include one son, Myron Tosh of Jonesboro; one sister, Sonja Thompson of Jonesboro; two brothers, Godoy Tosh of Bluffton, Ind., and Dwight Tosh of Jonesboro; two grandchildren, Bridgette Tosh and Devon Tosh, both of Jonesboro, and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse A. and Opal Mann Tosh.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Emerson Funeral Home's Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Don Vuncannon officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
West
MARKED TREE -- Funeral services for James Milburn West, 77, of Marked Tree, who died Friday, Dec. 24, at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro, are scheduled for 1 p.m. today in the chapel of Murphy Funeral Home of Marked Tree.
Michael Cox will officiate, and burial will follow in Tyronza Cemetery.
In addition to those previously named, he is also survived by a sister, Betty Allen of West Memphis.
E. Williams
CORNING -- Ella Williams, 91, of Corning died Sunday, Dec. 26, at Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan, Mo.
Born in Doniphan, she was a homemaker and a member of Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Corning.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Edward Williams, her parents and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Ermert Funeral Home of Corning, with the Rev. Bill Tyler officiating. Burial will be in Richwoods Cemetery
at Corning.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
