Michael Clennon
Michael Stewart Clennon, 51, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, in his home. He was born in West Plains, Mo. He graduated from St. Anne’s Academy in 1968. He was a retired senior master sergeant from the Air Force where he served 24 years. He was the widower of Monica Reith Clennon.
Mass will be 1 p.m. today in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The body will be cremated under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Clennon of Jacksonville; a son, Jeremiah Clennon of Arkadelphia; two stepsons, Travis Inselman of Enid, Okla., and Robert Chase Inselman of the home; his mother, Elsie M. Clennon of Fort Smith; two sisters, Sherry Jean Lincks of Van Buren and Billie Rae Mitcham of Cookson, Okla.; a brother, James E. Clennon of Laramie, Wyo.
Pallbearers will be members of the military honor guard.
Memorial contributions may be made to United Way or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or www.mem.com.

Cathy Payne
Cathy Payne, 48, of Fort Smith died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, in her home. She was a daycare worker for Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Charles; a daughter, Brenda Mendenhall of Fort Smith; a son, Rodney West of Charleston; her mother, Peggy Jo Sharum of Fort Smith; a sister, Helen Sue Taylor of Spiro; three grandchildren Kylee Mendenhall, Katherine and Madeline West.
Pallbearers will be Jared and Mendy Mendenhall, Phil Payne, Mike and Eric Glidewell and Brandon Wiley.

Alton Billings
POTEAU — Alton Ray Billings, 88, of Poteau died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, in Poteau. He was born Dec. 10, 1912, in Poteau. He owned and operated Billings TV Repair in Poteau for several years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Poteau. He was the widower of Nan Billings.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church in Poteau with burial at Oakland cemetery in Poteau under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; a daughter, Ruth Ann Ellis of the home; a stepson, Jim Billings of Wister, five grandchildren, Cindy Heimbichner, Ray Don and Matthew Dale Ellis, both of Poteau, Jeffrey and Scott Billings, both of Poteau, and six great-grandchildren.

James Jenson
HEAVENER — James Milton Jenson, 72, of Heavener died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, in Heavener. He was a graduate of Poteau High School, served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in Iceland. He was a chef and a real estate agent in California and attended California State Poly Technical Institutional and was a longtime Sunday school teacher.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Forrester Baptist Church in Heavener with burial at Memorial Park in Heavener under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; two daughters, Gail Oswald of Waldron and Karen Doran of Los Angeles; two sons, Andy Jenson of Tulsa and Jeff Jenson of Los Angeles; five sisters, Rose Mixon, Dorothy Toby and Elanor Nickles, all of Poteau, Betty Sommers of Fort Smith and Freda Lester of Center, Calif.; a brother, the Rev. Charley Jenson of Poteau; and four grandchildren.

Koletta Albright
CHEYENNE, Okla. — Koletta Vondell Albright, 66, of Cheyenne, Okla. died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, in Sayre, Okla. He was born Jan. 2, 1935 in Durham, Okla. She attended Durham Schools and was a member of the Nazarene Church in Fort Smith.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Durham First Baptist Church with burial at Fairview cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne, Okla.
She is survived by her mother, Erma May Hensley of Cheyenne, Okla.; two sisters, Winonia Jones of Gould, Ore., and Patricia Minjarez of Alamagordo, N.M.; five brothers, Glen Hensley of Cheyenne, Okla., Ronald Hensley of Durham, Okla., Addie Hensley of Pampa, Texas, Dale Hensley of Clovis, N.M., and Quinlin Hensley of Altus, Okla.

Mary Clark
VICK, La. — Mary M. Clark, 89, of Vick, La., died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001, in Vick, La. She was a Christian and the widow of Ernest Clark.
Funeral was held Saturday in Hixon Brothers Chapel in Marksville, La., with burial at Oak Grove cemetery in Effie, La.
She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Willhite of Charleston; a son, Leslie Clark of Vick, La.; five grandchildren, James, Arvin and Danny Clark, all of Louisiana, Iris Foster and Duane Willhite, both of Lavaca, and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Arvin and James Clark, Randy Foster, Duane Willhite, Mervil Miller, Roland Huffman, Sherman Smetak and Rick Johnson.

Bonnie Weaver
SALLISAW — Bonnie Weaver, 80, of Sallisaw died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, in Fort Smith. She was a cashier at Sequoyah Theater for 27 years and a member of First Christian Church in Sallisaw and a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 96.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Sallisaw City cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by her husband, Frank; two sisters, Jessie Chastain and Marie Pegg, both of Sallisaw, and several nieces and nephews.
The body may be viewed 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Calvin Wright
PORT ARTHUR, Texas — Calvin V. Wright, 72, of Port Arthur, Texas, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, in Port Arthur. He a retired Air Force veteran after 21 years of service and an employee of Patriot Security contracted out of Bayer Corporation in Orange, Texas.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. today in Gabriel Funeral Home in Port Arthur, Texas. Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Friday at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
He is survived by two daughters, Tiffany K. Wright and Trina Hampton, both of Round Rock, Texas; a son, John “Mark” Wright of Port Arthur, Texas; a sister, Mary Martin of Palmdale, Calif.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith.

Dorothy Bridgman
MOUNTAINBURG — Dorothy Naomi York Bridgman, 78, of Mountainburg, formerly of Morrilton, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001. She was born April 27, 1923, in Casa. She was retired from Essex Air Products and was a Baptist. She was the widow of Frank Bridgman.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Harris Funeral Home Chapel in Morrilton with burial at Hamilton cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, Audie Doyle of Mountainburg; four sisters, Kathleen Bevill of Scott, Roberta Leonard of Damascus, Bobbie Barrett of Conway and Beth Doberstein of Morrilton; four brothers, Elmo York of Carson, Calif., Thirl York of Mineola, Texas, Leo York of Flint, Mich., and Wayne York of Little Rock; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers Carl Bevill, John Paul Doyle, Eddie Wayne Morse, Gary Doberstein, Tim Barrett and Wayne York.

Randy Farris
Randy O. Farris, 41, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, in a local hospital. He was a graduate of Spiro Schools and a service manager for Sue White Mobile Homes and was a Baptist.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday in Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at New Hope cemetery in Spiro.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy; a daughter, Crystal Dawn Farris of Oklahoma City; his parents, Ocie and Sheila Farris of Fort Smith; a brother, Stephen of Pocola; maternal grandmother, Tommie Phillips of El Cerrito, Calif.; paternal grandmother, Lucy Farris Eagleton of Spiro.

Sam Wilson
Sam E. Wilson, 83, of Fort Smith died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, in a local hospital. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War, a retired maintenance supervisor for First America Bank, a lifetime member of DAV and a member of Goddard United Methodist Church.
Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Goddard United Methodist Church with private burial at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; three daughters, Beverly Dorsett of Suisun, Calif., Donna Hunt of Maumelle and Connie Addison of Nassau Bay, Texas; two sons, Dr. John H. Wilson of Baltimore and Major Neil F. Wilson of Hyattsville Md.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Goddard United Methodist Church, 1922 Dodson Ave., Fort Smith, AR 72901.

Hilton Henninger
MOUNTAINBURG — Hilton L. Henninger, 88, of Mountainburg died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, in a local hospital. He was a retired athletic director and coach for the California School Systems, a member of Revis Hill Assembly of God and the Gideons International and Arkansas Oklahoma Jail and Prison Ministry.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Revis Hill Assembly of God with burial at Pope cemetery in Mountainburg under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
He is survived by his wife, Frances; two daughters, Martha Hooper of Oklahoma and Wilma Jane Allen of Nevada; three sons, Bill and Ron Burkhart, both of Mountainburg, and Jack Henninger of Washington; three sisters, Mirian, Dorcus and Lorene Henninger, all of Pennsylvania; 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be member of Revis Hill Assembly of God.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Alma Chapter of Gideons International.

William Newton
William W. “Bill” Newton, 76, of Fort Smith died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, in Fort Smith. He was a retired owner of Newton’s Jeweler’s Inc., a Air Force veteran of World War II, a member of First Presbyterian Church, a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the American Gem Society.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday in First Presbyterian Church with private family committal at Oak cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Christa; three sons, Kelly, Duffy and Kevin Newton, all of Fort Smith; two brothers, Wendell Newton of Biloxi, Miss., and Bunny Newton of Joplin, Mo.; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bill England, Roscoe Thompson, Bill Wessels, Bob Cohen II, Dude Crain, Myron Rappeport, Dr. J.B. Stewart and Glenn Click.

Larry Wells
Larry W. Wells, 63, of Fort Smith died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, in Fort Smith. He was a retired insurance broker, a member of Goddard United Methodist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher, a member of the Confederate Air Force, a private pilot, a member of the Civil Air Patrol and served as an insurance licensing instructor.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Goddard United Methodist Church with burial at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Martha; two sons, Jon Wells of Van Buren and Shannon Dutchik of Rogers; a brother, David Wells of Phoenix; five grandchildren, Blaine, Austin, Abby Dutchik, Autumn and Victoria Wells.
Pallbearers will be Bob and Gary LaRue, Bob Pinkerd, Edward Rosenfield, Luther Reed, Odis Pilgrim and James Graham.
The family will visit with friends following the memorial service at Goddard United Methodist Church.

MULDROW — Robert L. Mize Sr. of Muldrow died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, in his home. He was a retired farmer and a member of First Baptist Church in Muldrow.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Muldrow City cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Rubye; three daughters, Janice Thompson of Muldrow, Onita Cheyne of Houston and Glenda Hopson of Roland; a son, Robert L. Mize Jr. of Muldrow; a sister, Cornelia Kirk of Broken Arrow, Okla.; a brother, Charley Mize of Muldrow; eight grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Todd Lenington, Tony Sharp, Monte Thompson, Jason Hopson, Tony Sandoval, Wilson Fargo, Carl Mize Jr. and Robby Kirk.

Reva Teague
CHESTER — Reva L. Teague, 83, of Chester died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, in a local hospital. She was a homemaker.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Conley cemetery in Mountainburg under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
She is survived by a companion, Ed Friddle of Chester; a daughter, Gayle Teague of Dallas; a son, Bill H. Teague of Mountainburg.
Pallbearers will be Dink Smith, Pete Lane, Michael Mason, George Stone, Don Marshall and Joe Schaeffer.
