PLUNKETTVILLE, Okla. — Larry Merle Walker, 62, of Plunkettville, Okla. died Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, in Mena. He was born Aug. 21, 1940, in Plunkettvile, Okla. He was a poultry farmer and a Christian.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Grove Church of the Nazarene in Cove with burial at Pleasant Grove cemetery under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
He is survived by his wife, Dixie; a daughter, Barbara Kline of Plunkettville, Okla.; two sons, Larry Michael Walker of Atlanta and Jasper Hartley of Vandervoort; his mother, Nolas Mae Walker of Plunkettville, Okla.; two sisters, Roene Brown of Broken Bow, Okla., and Olene Hopper of Smithville, Okla.; and six grandchildren.

William Henry
MENA — William M. “Bill” Henry, 89, of Mena died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, in Fort Smith. He was born Sept. 18, 1913, in Zoe, Okla. He was a self-employed logger and of the Baptist faith.
Graveside service was Monday at Concord cemetery in Ink under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
He is survived by a daughter, Brenda Davis of Springdale; four sons, Carl Henry of North Little Rock, Wayne, Gale and Wendell Henry, all of Mena; a sister, Lizzy Hobbs of Modesto, Calif.; a brother, Trent Henry of Tulare, Calif.; 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.

Pauline James
GRAVOIS MILLS, Mo. — Pauline Mae James, 76, of Gravois Mills, Mo., formerly of Hartman died Friday, Sept. 13, 2002, in Osage Beach, Mo. She was a homemaker and the widow of Coyle C. James.
Graveside memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Hartman cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home of Clarksville.
She is survived by three daughters, Jo Ann Cole of Hartman, Kathryn Macial of Kansas City, Mo., and Jeanne James of Gravois Mills, Mo.; two sons, Paul James of Kansas City, Mo., and Coyle James Jr. of Desoto, Kan.; two sisters, Ardath and Sue; a brother, Kenneth Cowell of Colorado; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Bonnie Roberson
CENTRAL CITY — Bonnie Jo Meredith Roberson, 63, of Central City died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, in Benton. She was born April 13, 1939, in Yocana in Polk County. She was a retired housekeeping supervisor for Medi-Homes Nursing Home in Fort Smith.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Smith Mortuary Chapel in Charleston. The body was cremated.
She is survived by her husband, H.C.; four daughters, Michele Kassel of Benton, Anita Kerr of Greenwood, Donna Rebecek of LaGrange, Texas, and Terri Roberson of Central City; her parents, Gail and Dorothy Meredith of Mena; five sisters, Barbara Bowen of Fort Smith, Diana Campbell of Mena, Debbie Hobbs of Lavaca, Sherri Walter of Onalaska, Wis., and Ginger Henry of Dardanelle; four brothers, G.A. Meredith of Mena, Jerry Meredith of Central City, Ricky Meredith of Panama and Robby Meredith of Lavaca; and seven grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Research or Hospice.

Terry McClure
BOKOSHE — Terry Lee McClure, 46, of Bokoshe died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, in Bokoshe. He was born March 14, 1946, in Sallisaw. He was retired from Trane Manufacturing in Fort Smith and a member of Local Union No. 716.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at First Assembly of God in Bokoshe with burial at Old Bokoshe cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; a daughter, Charila Jean McClure of the home; four sons, Terry Clay and Joseph Paul McClure, both of Norfolk, Va., Brad D. McClure of Oklahoma City and Chad Lee McClure of Bokoshe; his mother, Fran Wilkins of Fort Smith; a sister, Tracy Gallagher of Fort Smith; and three brothers, Greg and Dennis Wilkins, both of Fort Smith and Casey Wilkins of Coppell, Texas.

Jackie Wright
WALDRON — Jackie Junior Wright, 72, of Waldron died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a retired supervisor at Waldron Furniture Factory and a farmer.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Waldron Pentecostal Church of God with burial at Pilot Prairie cemetery in Waldron under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron.
He is survived by his wife, Edith; two daughters, Belynda Bailey of Lewisville, Texas, and Diane Ivy of Jackson, Miss.; four sons, Howard, Mike, Keith and Heath Wright, all of Waldron; a sister, Betty Potter of Waldron; two brothers, V.L. and Thomas Wright, both of Waldron; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed noon to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Jeffye Williams
COWLINGTON — Jeffye L. Williams, 53, of Cowlington died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, in Keota. She was a member of the Elks Lodge.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at New Hope cemetery in Spiro under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro.
She is survived by a daughter, Angie Davis of Carlsbad, N.M.; a son Kennith Williams Jr. of Monahans, Texas; her stepfather, Paul Hood of Marble Falls, Texas; two sisters, Neda DeLong of Fort Smith and Sue Silkicka of Jerrell, Texas; four grandchildren; and adopted father, Ernie Wooten of Spiro.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.

Erma Humphries
SALLISAW — Erma Humphries, 92, of Sallisaw died Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, in Sallisaw. She was the widow of Sparky Humphries.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Blackjack cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Margaret Kilgo of Ben Lomond, Calif.; and a caretaker, Myrtle Covington of Sallisaw.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.

Everett Loyd Sr.
PARIS — Everett Lee Loyd Sr., 72, of Paris died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, in Paris. He worked in law enforcement and was chief of police for the City of Paris for a number of years and was of the Assembly of God faith.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Assembly of God with burial at Baxley cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
He is survived by two daughters, Karen Butler of Springdale and Leanna Ivy Loyd of New Blaine; a son, Everett Loyd Jr. of Paris; a brother, Richard Loyd of California; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Buren Hooper, Eric Lloyd, Charles McClaine, Bill Strobel, Bob Parks and Glen Reames.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Victoria Moorman
BARSTOW, Calif. — Victoria Lynn “Vicki” Moorman, 25, of Barstow, Calif., died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002. She was born Feb. 6, 1977, in Fort Smith. She was a respiratory therapist at Barstow Community Hospital and a member of St. Joseph’s Church.
A gathering of remembrance will be 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Custom Funerals & Cremations of Little Rock.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Toni and Bill Holohan of Van Buren; her father, Dennis Lowrimore of Mulberry; two sisters, Mary Stewart of Muldrow and Angela Holohan of Van Buren; a brother, Ben Holohan of Van Buren; her grandmother, Carmen Moorman of Barstow, Calif.; and her grandparents, Butch and Jeanette Lowrimore of Mulberry.

Leona Moore
ALMA — Leona Odle Moore, 78, of Alma, formerly of Lonoke, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, in a local hospital. She was a retired line worker for Dixie Cup and a member of Kibler United Methodist Church.
Funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Concord United Methodist Church near Lonoke with burial at Concord cemetery near Lonoke under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by two daughters, Carlene Moore McCormick of Alma and Sherry Moore of Conway; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Kenda and Kevin Smith, Teena and Pete Kelly, Kenneth McCormick and Roy Rogers.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Frances Cox
Frances Cox, 61, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, in Fort Smith. She was a member of Haven Heights Baptist Church and was an electrical inspector at Whirlpool.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fentress Mortuary Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Jim; two daughters, Kim Jones of Fayetteville and Angie Gonzalez of Fort Smith; a son, Jon Cox of Fort Smith; three sisters, Mary McIver of Dyer, Betty Beauchamp and Judy Kelly, both of Fort Smith; four brothers, Carl Burnett Jr. of Upper Darby, Pa., Ronnie Burnett of Alma, Hank Burnett of Mulberry and Guy Wayne Burnett of Hot Springs; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Jeff and Phillip Beauchamp, Jimmy and Danny Kelly, Steve Gonzalez, Matthew Jones and Larry McIver.
The family will visit with friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

MANSFIELD — Jonathon Eric Taylor, 15, of Mansfield died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a 10th grade student at Mansfield High School, a member of the Beta Club, Model U.N. International Club, G.T., golf team, speech club, an honor student and a member of First Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 4 p.m. Thursday at Mansfield High School Gymnasium with burial at Pleasant Grove No. 2 cemetery in Abbott under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Mansfield.
He is survived by his parents, John and Ronna Taylor of Mansfield; a sister, Katie of the home; his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Jean Starr of Waldron; and paternal grandparents, Herbert and Barbara Taylor of Lucas.

Ruth Meyers
Mae Ruth Selig Meyers, 77, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, in Fort Smith. She is a member of Saint Boniface Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharist minister.
Mass will be 10 a.m. today at Saint Boniface Catholic Church with burial at Holy Cross cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Greg; two sons, Mike Meyers of Malvern and Chris Meyers of Fort Smith; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Hendricks, Kenny Schlag, Jimmy Klimpt, Rick, Danny, Ryan, Sam and B.J. Meyers.

Lucille Denney, 84, of Fort Smith died Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, in a Greenwood nursing home. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church, a secretary for Denney Tree Service, a homemaker and owner of Ruth’s Bloom Room where she raised and sold African violets for more than 25 years.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Temple Baptist Church in Fort Smith with burial at Oak cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Parks of Fort Smith; a son, Stuart Denney of Fort Smith; a sister, Lois Green of Fort Smith; and two grandchildren.

J.T. “Tom” Owens, 65, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, in Fort Smith. He was a retired driver for Arkola Ready Mix Company.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Owens of Fort Smith; a daughter, Janie Brouwer of Fort Smith; a son, David Owens of Fort Smith; two sisters, Erma Beshears of Bonanza and Freda Kingery of Greenwood; two brothers, Wayne Owens of Mansfield and James Owens of Greenwood; and two grandchildren, Cari Potts and Ethan Owens.
