REICHERT COMMUNITY — Mark Ulmon Hollan, 37, of Reichart community died Wednesday, July 31, 2002. He was born July 15, 1965, in Redding, Calif. He worked as a welder for Fluor-Daniels.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Heart O’Hills Baptist Church in Summerfield with burial at Summerfield cemetery under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
He is survived by his wife, Shelia; a daughter, Sarah of the home; a son, Jacob of the home; his mother, Maudie Hollan; two sisters, Bobbie Weaver and Karen Parks, both of Summerfield; a brother, Olen Hollan of Summerfield; and a family friend, Mary Montgomery of Heavener.
Pallbearers will be Bob Fowler, Jerry Loomis, Rich Wheat, Matt Wolfe, Jack Frost and Everett Plummer.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mark Hollan Memorial Fund, c/o Heart O’Hills Baptist Church in Summerfield, Okla.

William Carney
William “Bill” Carney, 79, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, July 31, 2002, in Fort Smith. He was an Air Force veteran, serving in World War II, a retired postal employee and a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith.
Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial at Holy Cross cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Dortha; three daughters, Eugenia Pearson of Greenwood, Linda Dugan of Midland and Sharon Tidwell of Fort Smith; and a son, William Carney II of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be Jim, Mike, Patrick and Eric Dugan.

Lucy Millsap
MULBERRY — Lucy Edith Millsap “Miss Lucy”, 88, of Mulberry died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2002, in a local nursing home. She was born Jan. 3, 1914, in Franklin County. She was a retired teacher for Pleasant View Schools, a member of Home Demonstration Club and the Mulberry Church of Christ. She was the widow of Ralph Millsap.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Mulbery Church of Christ with burial at Hight cemetery in Mulberry under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Mulberry.
She is survived by two daughters, Sue Smither and Linda Peters, both of Mulberry; three sons, Joe Millsap of Lawton, Okla., Jimmy Dale Millsap of Mulberry and Ronnie Millsap of Dyer; a sister, Edna Bowles of Mulberry; a brother, Joseph Graf of Pflugerville, Texas; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Haley Potter
CAMERON — Haley Nicole Potter, 5, of Cameron died Wednesday, July 31, 2002, in a Little Rock hospital. She was born July 24, 1997. She was a student at Panama Headstart.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Greenhill Free Will Baptist Church in Cameron with burial at Greenhill cemetery in Cameron under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara Potter of Cameron; her father, Charles Morton of Cameron; a sister, Kimberly Morton of Cameron; a brother, Michael Potter of Cameron; and her grandmothers, Ruby Potter and Wanda Moss, both of Cameron.

Clinton Jenkins Jr.
Clinton Jenkins Jr., 77, of Van Buren died Tuesday, July 30, 2002, in a local nursing home. He was born Aug. 21, 1924, in Van Buren. He was a retired short order cook.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Crown Hill cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith.
He is survived by two brothers, Muriel Willis of Van Buren and Elmer Lee Rogers of Augusta, Ga.
Pallbearers will be Wyman Jones Sr., Larry Norwood, Billy Perry Sr., Thomas Douglas, Larry Stringer Sr. and Terrance Richardson.
The family will visit with friends at 52 S. 22nd St. in Van Buren.

Maggie Bilyeu
SALLISAW — Maggie Faye Bilyeu, 70, of Sallisaw died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2002, in Vian. She was born Aug. 31, 1931, in Bunch, Okla. She was a homemaker and of the Holiness faith.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Landmark Holiness Church in Sallisaw with burial at Seabolt cemetery north of Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by her husband, Bennie; three daughters, Deloris Morris and Dorothy Ngoyen, both of Sallisaw, and Ladonna Ridenhour of Bunch, Okla.; two sons, John and Norvan Bilye, both of Sallisaw; a brother, Ralph Riggs of Weatherford, Okla.; 16 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Paula Morris
MENA — Paula Jean Morris, 39, of Mena died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, in an area hospital. She was born March 3, 1963, in Mena. She was a farmer, a former out-of-town Queen of the Scott County Rodeo and the Montgomery Country Rodeo and a former Princess of the Mena Rodeo.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cherry Hill Methodist Church with burial at Cherry Hill cemetery under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
She is survived by her husband, Bennett; a daughter, Bennetta Morris of Mena; a son, Ricky Ferguson of Mena; a sister, Jo Ann Russell of Hope Hull, Ala.; and one grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Travis, Bobby and Craig Ferguson, Don Dennis, Eric Hughes and Wayne Pate.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Jimmy Pitchford
GREENWOOD — Jimmy L. Pitchford, 49, of Greenwood died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, in his home. He was a barber and a member of Long Ridge Baptist Church in Booneville.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Steep Hill cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by a daughter, Sarah Alison Pitchford of Canton, N.C.; a son, Garett of Canton; his parents, Darla Goforth of Greenwood and Tommy Pitchford of Witcherville; a sister, Deana Cochran of Wichita, Kan.; and two brothers, Dan of Houston and Frank of Hayward, Calif.
Pallbearers will be Kent Ridener, Larry Clark, Larry Bridges, Rick Canada, Robert Spearman and Michael James.

Odell Smith
VIAN — Richard Odell Smith, 75, of Vian died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, in Tahlequah, Okla. He was a retired roadwork construction superintendent, an Army veteran of World War II and of the Freewill Baptist Faith.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Box cemetery north of Vian under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Gore.
He is survived by his wife, Eva; five daughters, Karen Stephens of Claremore, Doris Risley and Ann Houston, both of Vian, Lorna Bumgarner of Davis, Okla., and Brenda Burke of Midwest City, Okla.; a son, Richard Smith of Vian; two sisters, Gwen Collins of Cookson, Okla., and Opal Woodrum of Wichita, Kan.; two brothers, Robert Smith of Vian and the Rev. Vernon “Bo” Smith of Bristow, Okla.; 16 grandchilden and 26 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: Mark Meadows, Levi and Gil Risley, Kenneth Goshen, Colby Bumgarner, Brian Jackson, Jason Smith and Stephen Taylor.
The body may be viewed from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Joe Moore
Joe E. Moore, 73, of Van Buren died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002, in a local hospital. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Van Buren and a retired employee development specialist with the Army.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Van Buren with burial at Fairview cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Verna M. Moore; a son, Michael D. Moore of Hastings, N.Y.; four sisters, Nelly Engle of Story, Orva Davis of Murrieta, Calif., Dorothy Coleman of Van Buren and Bonnie Moore of Arkoma; and two brothers, Harold Collins of St. Joseph, Mo., and Douglas Moore of Citrus Heights, Calif.
The family will visit with friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Van Buren.

Susan Cunningham
CLARKSVILLE — Susan Temple Cunningham, 53, of Clarksville died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002, in an area hospital. She was born Oct. 15, 1948, at Clarksville. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a counselor at Ozark Junior High School and a member of Beta Sigma Phi and the Junior Auxiliary. She was selected to the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with burial at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Salem cemetery in Plainview under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home of Clarksville.
She is survived by her husband, Gary; a daughter, Casey Cunningham of Clarksville; a son, Brad Cunningham of Clarksville; and a sister, Mikey Wiley of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be David Garrett, Rick Gage, Paul “Bo” Dean, Don Phillips, Randy Barrett and Paul Mathis.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Stanley Shaw
MOUNTAINBURG — Stanley J. Shaw, 73, of Mountainburg died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, in Roff, Okla. He was a retired construction laborer and an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was the widower of Vina Shaw.
Graveside funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Locke cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
He is survived by a daughter, Anna Horton of Roff, Okla.; four sons, Rick Shaw of Roff, Donald Shaw of Lakeview, Ore., Joseph Shaw of Modesto, Calif., and Howard Shaw of Series, Calif.; a sister, Evelyn Yoeman of Napa, Calif.; a brother, George Shaw of Orange City, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Paul Perrier Jr.
MULBERRY — Paul J. Perrier Jr., 80, of Mulberry died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002, in a local hospital. He was a retired postmaster for the Mulberry Post Office, an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, a Mason and a member of the American Legion.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Mulberry with burial at New cemetery in Mulberry under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; a son, Paul G. Perrier of Van Buren; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Prescott, Jimmy McChristian, David Bender, Danny Udouj, Todd Small and Jimmy McCormick.
The family will visit with friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or The Alzheimer’s Foundation.

Garl Whitson Jr.
OZARK — Garl Whitson Jr., 90, of Ozark died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002, in Ozark. He was a retired machinist and attended Ozark First Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with burial at Highland cemetery in Ozark.
He is survived by his wife, Naomi; two sons, Roland Whitson of Ozark and Larry Whitson of Jacksonville; and four grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Wesley Lane
Wesley Lane, 72, of Van Buren died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, in his home. He was born Feb. 19, 1930, in Glendale, Calif., and was the retired owner of GloBrite Corporation.
Private burial of cremains will be in Hillside cemetery at Purcell, Okla., at a later date under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; a daughter, Dianne and her husband Mark Beffort of Oklahoma City; a son, Wes and his wife Lori Lane of Oklahoma City; one grandchild, Molly Beffort of Oklahoma City; and several nieces and nephews.
