BOONEVILLE — Thomas J. Bonner, 81, of Booneville died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, in Booneville. He was born May 8, 1920, in Sugar Grove. He was a World War II veteran and worked as a welder in oil fields.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Roberts Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Booneville with burial at Blue Mountain cemetery in Blue Mountain.
He is survived by four brothers, Henry Bonner of Magazine, Fred and Hoyt Bonner, both of Bakersfield, Calif., and Roy Bonner of Cabot; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Woods, Frank Davis and Harold, Wayne, Joe Wayne and William Bonner.
Nettie Webb
WICHITA, Kan. — Nettie Martha Webb, 92, of Wichita, Kan., formerly of Sallisaw, died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, in Wichita. She was born April 14, 1909, in Sequoyah County. She was a homemaker, a Baptist and the widow of Thomas William “Tom” Webb.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Agent Funeral Home Chapel of Sallisaw with burial at Brushy cemetery north of Sallisaw.
She is survived by the daughters, Jackie Tannehill of Topeka, Kan., Dixie Kay Brockelsby and Sharon Geubelle, both of Wichita, Kan.; two sons, Tom Webb Jr. of Sallisaw and Bobby Joe Webb of Wichita, Kan.; 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ted Tannehill, Michael Kibbe, Shawn and Doug J. Gann, Brandon Wallace and Rick Corbit.
Wenzel Renvick
OZARK — Wenzel “Windy” Renvick, 89, of Ozark died Thursday, March 7, 2002, in Ozark. He was born Dec. 19, 1912, in Cooksville, Wis. He was retired from Rock County Wisconsin Highway Maintenance Department and a member of Ozark First Presbyterian Church.
Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; two stepdaughters, Joyce Anderson of Ephrata, Wash., and Nancy Tuttle of South Bend, Ind.; two stepsons, Thomas Clark of Milwaukee and Charles Johnson of South Bend, Ind.; 15 stepgrandchildren, 37 stepgreat-grandchildren and three stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends 10 a.m. Saturday until service time at the funeral home.
Ernest Connelley III
MCLEAN, Va. — Ernest Clyde Connelley III, 49, of McLean, Va. died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002, in McLean. He was born Aug. 20,1952, in Paris. He graduated from Coronado High School and attended Palomar College in San Diego. He ran a deep sea fishing charter boat business in Guam and was in the restaurant supply business for several years in Hawaii and Washington, D.C. He installed track work for the DC Metro system and was a commercial real estate agent with Weichert Realtors of McLean, Va.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in McLean, Va. under the direction of Murphy Funeral Home of Falls Church, Va.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; his parents, Capt. Ernest Clyde Connelley Jr. and Catherine Cay Connelley of McLean, Va.; and a sister, Cathy Barton of Shreveport, La.

Hazel Ford
OLATHE, Kan. — Hazel E. Ford, 93, of Olathe, Kan., formerly of Ozark, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002. She was born Sept. 7, 1908, Dublin. She graduated from the Arkansas State Teachers College in Conway and was a teacher in Ozark and Olathe, Kan., was president of the Olathe National Education Association for 1960 to1961, a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Olathe, Sigournean Club, Ladies Reading Circle, P.E.O. Chapter GR, Friends of the Library and was a senior volunteer in the public schools. She was the widow of G. Benjamin Ford.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Grace United Methodist Church in Olathe, Kan. with burial at 3:30 p.m. at Highland cemetery in Ozark under the direction of W.L. Frye & Son Mortuary and Crematory of Olathe, Kan.
She is survived by three daughters, Susan E. Sims of Overland Park, Kan., and Mary Dee Siebold and Georgeann Hughes, both of Colorado; a son, Ben L. Ford of Kansas City, Mo.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Dazzy Vance
TULSA — Dazzy Vance, 72, of Tulsa, formerly of Keota, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, in Tulsa. He worked for Oklahoma Natural Gas Company for many years.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church in Keota with burial at Keota City cemetery under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Stigler.
He is survived by his wife, Reba; a daughter, Rebecca Chapman of Tulsa; and one grandchild, Shelby Chapman.
Pallbearers will be Archie Meadows, Pete Netherlain, Doy Wilkins, Kirby Thomas, Harold Sinyard and Joe Wells.
Billie Caldwell
POTEAU — Billie Caldwell, 68, of Poteau died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, in Poteau. She was born March 31, 1933, in Charleston. She served in the Navy and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and was a radio operator for the Fort Smith Police Department.
No services planned at the time. The body will be cremated under the direction of Grace manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
She is survived by a brother, James Williams; and four nephews, Carl Williams of Parker, Colo., Kenneth Williams of Hawaii, Dale Pearson of Rock Island and Glynn Pearson of Salt Lake City.
Dessie Taylor
CECIL — Dessie Stubblefield Taylor, 99, of Cecil died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 16, 1902, in Branch. She was a homemaker and a member of of Cecil Methodist Church and the widow of Jeptha Taylor.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Cecil Methodist Church with burial at Lowes Creek cemetery north of Branch under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.
She is survived by three daughters, Vera Jean White and Carolyn Ford, both of Cecil, and Tommie Brophy of Gambrills, Md.; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joseph and Taylor Ford, Jonathan Chambers, Michael Taylor Innes, Jeptha White and David Cole.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Vondon Gattis
Vondon Gattis, 76, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, a local hospital. He was born Sept. 20, 1925, in Paris. He was retired from the Navy as commander after 30 years of service and was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Presidential Unit Citation Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal World War II, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Navy Occupation Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, 2nd award, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Medal and the Submarine Patrol Pin World War II and a member of Eastside Baptist Church, deacon of Emeritus.
Funeral will be 11:30 a.m. today in Chapel of Eastside Baptist Church with burial at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Marvelle; two daughters, Debbie Stoufer of Fort Smith and Sue Ellen Cates of Arlington, Texas; a son, Rick Gattis of Ferndale, Wash.; a sister, Lenore Hughes of Sun City, Ariz.; a brother, Darrel Gattis of Van Buren; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Wimpey Kesner, Bill Scherer, Ralph Holmes, Ralph Colley, Gene Rambo and Bobby Taylor.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny; a daughter, Rachel Graves of the home; her mother, Edna Melton; two sisters, Edna Miller of Muldrow and Sbyil Warwick of Fort Smith; four halfsisters,; four brothers, Coyd Welch of Garland, Texas, Jimmy Welch of Arkoma, Gary Don Welch of Muldrow and Calvin Welch of Fort Smith; and a halfbrother.

ENID, Okla. — Barbara L. Kasper, 41, of Enid, Okla., formerly of Hartman, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, in Enid. She was born March 5, 1961, in Culver City, Calif. She was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church in Clarksville.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Union Grove Baptist Church with burial at Union Grove cemetery in Clarksville under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home of Clarksville.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford; three stepson, Chris, Jim and Nick Kasper, all of Enid, Okla.; her mother, Beverly Cook of Hartman; three sisters, Colleen, Debbie and Virginia Kasper, all of Hartman; a brother, Wendell Cook Jr. of Siloam Springs; and two stepgrandchildren.

ST. LOUIS — Kenneth “Kenny” Black, 60, of St. Louis died Monday, March 4, 2002, in St. Louis. He was a member of New Sunny Mount Baptist Church where he was a deacon, bus driver, Sunday School superintendent, a graduate of Lincoln High School Class of 1061 and attended University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and Purdue University. He worked as a math instructor in Althiemer, a instructor at Ouachita Job Corps in Hot Springs, Defense Mapping Agency in St. Louis and McDonnell Douglas where he developed and tested and implemented the guidance system for the Cruise and Tomahawk missile. He was an inventor and patent holder for an “auto diaper”.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Ninth Street Missionary Baptist Church with burial at Oak cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Rowell-Paris Mortuary of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife Joann; a daughter, Monica of New York; a son, Kenny Jr. of Canada; two sisters, Allene Stafford of Fort Smith and Carolyn Mitchell of Orlando, Fla.; two brothers, Allen of Fort Smith and Napoleon of St. Louis; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Howard, Leo Goode, Charles Rainey, Leon Thompson, Johnny Nix and Warren Dodson.
Frances Willis
POTEAU — Frances Lorine Willis, 67, of Poteau died Thursday, March 7, 2002, in Fort Smith. She was born Jan. 22, 1935, in Fanshawe.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Willis cemetery in Poteau under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
She is survived by her husband, Albert; three daughters, Linda Howard of Heavener, Betty Kuehan of Okarche, Okla. and Kristle Gokey of Shawnee, Okla.; a son, Robert Yandell of Van Buren; a sister, Cristine Smith of Vanita, Okla.; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Mundy Sr., John Mundy Jr., Matthew Mundy, Adam and Bobby Gokey, Rocky Knell, Shane Kuehn and Bobby Yandell.
William Sims
William L. Sims, 77, of Van Buren died Thursday, March 7, 2002, in a local hospital. He was a retired cement truck driver and a member of Concord Baptist Church in Van Buren.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Concord Baptist Church in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Euline; two daughters, Pam Sims of Salinas, Calif., and Genie Thompson of New York; a son, Jerry Lee Sims of Wills Point, Texas; three sisters, Lena Mae Foster of Hot Springs, Joanna of Salinas, Calif. and Murline Atherton of Oregon; a brother, Ray Sims of Rudy; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Harold Frasher
MIDLAND — Harold ‘Copper” Frasher, 83, of Midland died Thursday, March 7, 2002, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a veteran of World War II and a retired construction worker and a coal miner. He was the widower of Doshia Frasher.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Midland First Baptist Church with burial at Mount Olive cemetery in Midland under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
He is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Ratliff of Midland; a son, Larry Don Frasher of Bellflower, Calif.; two sisters, Helen Morrison of Midland and Wilma Deanne Beshears of Huntington; two brothers, Bobby and Earl Frasher of Midland; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John, Rick, Barry and Ronnie Morrison, Steve Frasher and Clarence Holt.
The body may be viewed 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Junior Moore
Junior Moore, 82, of Charleston died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, in Fort Smith. He was born Aug. 12, 1919, in Sebastian County to Luther Burton Moore and Minnie Alice Van Meter. He was a veteran of World War II, a retired farmer, a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Charleston Lodge No. 155 and the Marietta Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Roose Moore, and a son, Gary Ison Moore.
Funeral was held Thursday in Smith Mortuary Chapel in Charleston with burial at Garden of Memories cemetery in Charleston with the Rev. Don Moore and Keith Roberts officiating.
He is survived by five daughters, Elouise Speer, Rebecca Drake and Linda Teague, all of Charleston, Judy Busbey of Little Rock and Ellen Roberts of Fayetteville; two sons, Don Moore of Hartford and Vondal Moore of Charleston; two sisters, Mona Lou Neighbors of Charleston and Bonnie Frances DuVall of Denton, Texas; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; a long time friend, Golda Pistole.
Pallbearers will be Donnie, Joey and Josiah Moore, Kevin Speer, Lance Detweiler, Brian Teague, Erik Walther and Barrett Roberts.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends at Charleston Senior Citizens Center.
