Martha Hatley
DYER Martha Belle Hatley, 83, of Dyer died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, in her home. She was a retired employee of Eads Furniture factory and a member of First Baptist Church of Dyer, the Ramey Chapter of the Eastern Star in Mulberry. She was the widow of Claud Hatley Sr.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Ocker Funeral Home Chapel in Alma with burial at Dyer cemetery.
She is survived by three daughters, Wanda Qualls and Donna Turner, both of Fort Smith and Patricia Mowrey of Dyer; two sons, Claudie and Ronnie Hatley, both of Fort Smith; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Keith and Ronnie Hatley Jr., Billy Gayle Morse, Joe Lee Kincy, Bill Goff and Joe Beckham.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Thomas Davis
BRANDON, Miss. Thomas H. Tommy Davis, 82, of Brandon, Miss., formerly of Fort Smith, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2001, in his home. He was born in Winston Salem, N.C. He was a retired salesman with Firestone and a member of Lakeside Presbyterian Church. He played baseball in North Carolina winning the championship in 1937. He attended Catawba College on a baseball and basketball scholarship and was chosen best athlete. He played American Legion ball at Salisbury, N.C. and played right field for the Jackson Senators from 1946-1950 and the Meridian Millers from 1952-54.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Jackson, Miss. with burial at Parkway Memorial cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Martha; a daughter, Kathy Staten of Clinton; a stepdaughter, Sandra Dickerson of Isola, Miss.; two stepsons, Jimmy Ratliff of Hattiesburg, Miss. and Paul Ratliff of Florence; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Marge Hansen, 83, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker and the widow of Ervin Hansen.
Graveside service will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Bella Vista cemetery in Bella Vista under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Mersberger of Fort Smith and Virginia Chapman of Sheboygan, Wis.; a son, Gary Hansen of Yorktown, Va.; a brother, Edward Kadela of Joliet, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Virgie Bailey
Virgie Eula Bailey, 79, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, in a local hospital. She was a homemaker and a Protestant.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren under the directions of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by her husband, Ledford; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Littrell of Evansville, Ind.; a son, Larry Bailey of Fort Smith; four sisters, Brilla Allen, Audrey Carter and Elizabeth Adams, all of Florida and Hazel Cree of Indiana; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Larry and Gregory Bailey and sergeant first class Richard Bailey, Scott Hartman, James Arnold and Ronald Wright.
Rennae Sims
DARDANELLE Rennae Sims, 76, of Dardanelle died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, in a Little Rock hospital. He was a 1945 graduate of Dardanelle High School, owned and operated Rennae Sims Builders Supply of Dardanelle and Clarksville for 32 years as well as Danville Builders Supply, Ola Hardware and Sims Wood Products, served as president of board of directors at Dardanelle Hospital, Bay Ridge Boat and Golf Club, Dardanelle Chamber of Commerce and Dardanelle Kiwanis Club, active board member of the First Arkansas Valley Bank, Arkansas Lumbermans Association, Midland Builders Supply, Arkansas Small Business Association, member of Dardanelle Church of Christ, a Army veteran of World War II, a lifelong member of Boyce-Woods VFW Post No. 3141.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. today in Dardanelle Church of Christ with burial at Brearley cemetery in Dardanelle under the direction of Cornwell Funeral Home of Dardanelle.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; a daughter, Rita Couch of Dardanelle; a son, Ranay Sims of Westerville, Ohio; two sisters, Erma Martin of Russellville and Retha Wilson of Ola; two brothers, Verlon Sims of Dardanelle and Lamar Harkey of Fort Worth, Texas; and four grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be former employees and business associates.

CONWAY William Raymond Gregg, 49, of Conway died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, in Conway. He was born March 23, 1952, in Conway and was a retired manager of Wal-Mart.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel in Conway with burial at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie; a daughter, Kristyn Gregg of Conway; a son, Brian Gregg of Conway; his father, Bob Gregg of Fort Smith his stepmother, Naomi Gregg of Fort Smith; a sister, Lou Ann Gregg of Everett, Wash.; a brother, Hunt Gregg of Lewisville, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Hunt Gregg, Cris and Keith Carter, Bruce Taylor, Lee Fannon, Buster Kitchens, John Fosters and Ken Fain.

Oscar E. Hill Jr.
Oscar E. Hill Jr., 82, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, in Fort Smith. He was a retired baker for the Colonial Bakery, a Baptist, an Army veteran of World War II and the 
Korean War and a member of the Salvation Army and the VFW. He was preceded in death by a daughter, LaDonna Hill and a son, Michael E. Hill.
The body will be cremated.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. today in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by three daughters, Barbara McDaniel and Deborah Cole, both of Fort Smith and Sandra Gipson of Muldrow; a son, Gerald Hill of Greenwood; three brothers, Charles Hill of Harrisburg, N.C., James Hill of Clinton, Miss. and Otis Hill of Van Horn, Texas; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Timothy Bryan Sullivan of Austin, Texas, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, in La Grange, Texas. He was born Oct. 1, 1969, in Fort Smith.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Forest Park cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Forever All Faiths Funeral Service-South of Austin, Texas.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Larry and Debra Sullivan of Fort Smith, his mother and stepfather, Debbie and Rick Chancellor of Houston; a half sister, Lindsay Chancellor; two half brothers, Chris and Brad Sullivan; a stepsister, Micah Hill; a stepbrother, Jeff Chancellor; maternal grandmother, Johnnie Reed of Fort Worth, Texas; paternal grandfather, Bill Sullivan of Fort Smith; aunts and uncles, Steve and Billie Munson of Fort Worth, Texas, Jimmy and Johanna Hamilton of Memphis, Randy and Janice Pringle of Marshall, Texas, and Larry and Phyllis Spradley of Poteau; and 11 cousins.
Marvin C. Briley
Marvin C. Briley, 83, of Van Buren died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003, in a local hospital. He was an Army veteran of World War II having served in the South Pacific. He retired after 26 years as route salesman for Acee Milk Co. and after his retirement he worked for five years for Yeager Hardware. He attended Van Buren First Assembly of God and was the widower of Wanda Testerman Briley. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren with full military honors.
He is survived by three daughters, Brenda Briley of Charleston, W.Va., Mary Shakleford and Judy Scott, both of Van Buren; two sons, Johnny Ragsdale of Van Buren and Larry Briley of Greenwood; three sisters, Faye Alice Brewer of Van Buren, Mary Watkins of Uniontown and Margarete Steely of Oklahoma; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Jack, David Symonds, Duane Dyer, Duane Chadwick, Paul and Dale Brown.

Jack Chambers, 63, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003, in Fort Smith. He was a retired water maintenance supervisor for the City of Fort Smith, of the Pentecostal faith and attended River of Life Church.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Chambers of the home; a daughter, Cynthia and husband, David Jarrard of Van Buren; a son, Jack Chambers Jr. and wife, Connie of Van Buren; three sisters, Betty Buckner of Charleston, Joyce Lishbrook and Sarah Sugg, both of Fort Smith; three brothers, John Chambers of Hackett, Ray Chambers of Van Buren and Bud Chambers of Fort Smith; and one grandchild, Abbey Jarrard of Van Buren.

Logan Riggs
MONROE Logan Leon Riggs, 77, of Monroe died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, in Monroe. He was born Sept. 27, 1925, in Bates. He graduated from Monroe High School and Northeastern State College, attended University of Oklahoma, worked for State of Oklahoma, worked with Social Security Administration in Dallas and was an Army veteran serving in Europe during World War II. He was the widower of Elisabeth Riggs.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at First Baptist Church in Monroe with burial at Monroe cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
He is survived by a daughter, Kelly Scott of Coppell, Texas; two brothers, Walter Riggs of Missouri and J.B. Riggs of Monroe; three grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.

Dean Worley
EAGLETOWN, Okla. Dean E. Worley, 77, of Eagletown, Okla., died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, in a Little Rock hospital. He was born may 31, 1923, in Poteau. He was a retired educator and preacher, teaching science, biology and chemistry and coaching girls basketball at Eagletown High School from 1967 until retirement, and was director of Votech in Idabel until his second retirement in 1992.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Eagletown School gymnasium with committal service at 3 p.m. at Oakland cemetery Pavilion in Poteau under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
He is survived by his wife, Dob; six daughters, Donna Davis of Mont Belview, Texas, Jan Cook and Pam Bradshaw, both of Poteau, Brenda Ashalintubbi and Ann Lawler, both of Eagletown, Okla., and Vicki Gamble of Idabel, Okla.; a son, Rick Worley of Broken Bow, Okla.; three sisters, Kate McMullin of Garner, Ky., Twalla Robison and Sada Sole, both of Poteau; a brother, Bill Qualls of Poteau; 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
