Jack Chambers, 63, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003, in Fort Smith. He was a retired water maintenance supervisor for the City of Fort Smith, was of the Pentecostal faith and attended River of Life Church.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; a daughter, Cynthia Jarrard of Van Buren; a son, Jack Chambers Jr. Van Buren; three sisters, Betty Buckner of Charleston, Joyce Lishbrook and Sarah Sugg, both of Fort Smith; three brothers, John Chambers of Hackett, Ray Chambers of Van Buren and Bud Chambers of Fort Smith; and one grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Gary Brooks, Ken Leakey, Bobby Barker, Doug Mizell, Darrell Borum and Kendall Newberry.

Jimmy Clayborn
MANSFIELD — Jimmy Clayborn, 57, of Mansfield died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a construction manager for AOG and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Huntington Assembly of God with burial at Huntington City cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; a daughter, Robbin Heidelberg of Natural Dam; three stepdaughters, Bettina Brown of Van Buren, Dena Champion of Paris and Angela Ward of Huntington; a stepson, Bruce Yandell of Waldron; his mother, Ruby Clayborn of Rudy; five sisters, Connie Bernier of Rudy, Bonnie Knick and Donnie Bradley, both of Clarksville, Geneva Carlton of Fayetteville and Ora Lou Aichele of Charleston, S.C.; three brothers, Fred Clayborn of Russellville, Tommy and Danny Clayborn, both of Clarksville; and nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Terry Wallace, Lester Ford, Johnny Wells, Larry Dake, Travis Walton and Tony Sharp.

Hallie Shirley
STIGLER — Hallie L. Shirley, 76, of Stigler died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Stillwell City cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
She is survived by a daughter, Denise Sloan of Kinta; four sisters, Berniece Montgomery of Melrose, N.M., Syble Cadell of Gallop, N.M., Lucille Faulkner of Mountain View, Okla., and Bonnie Lawrence of Palm Dessert, Calif.; two brothers, Eden “Buzz” Metheny of Ardmore, Okla., and Neal Meheny of Hemet, Calif.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Frank and Chris Sloan, Tim and B.J. Honeycutt.
The body may be viewed 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and 1 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Opal Gash
CLARKSVILLE — Opal Mae Gash, 92, of Clarksville died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, in Clarksville. She was a homemaker, was retired from Quick Service Laundry after 25 years and a member of Hays Chapel Methodist Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville with burial at Union Grove cemetery in Clarksville.
She is survived by a sister, Leroy Turner of Owasso, Okla.
Pallbearers will be Don Pennington, Edd and Ted Young, Keith Frost, Woody Rose, Mark Nowonty, Bennie Ross and Dale Atkinson.

Virginia Magness
BONANZA — Virginia Magness, 85, of Bonanza died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Bonanza Church of Christ. She was the widow of Charles Magness.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Hartford Memorial Park.
She is survived by three daughters, Virginia, Kathleen and Anita Magness, all of Fort Smith; three sons, Steve Magness of Los Angeles, John Magness of Bonanza and J.D. Magness of Fort Smith; 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Kettron Faddis
PRAIRIE GROVE — Kettron Isham Faddis, 87, of Prairie Grove died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, in Prairie Grove. He was born June 24, 1915, in Compton. He was a farmer for more than 70 years in Center Point Community near Prarie Grove and a member of Center Point Church of God. He was the widower of Lorena Bell David Faddis.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. today at White Rock Light of Faith in Fayetteville with burial at Sharp cemetery in Prairie Grove under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove.
He is survived by a daughter, Auda Ray Page of Van Buren; two sons, Joe Faddis of Evansville and James Faddis of Prairie Grove; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Fidler, Ben Gordon, Randy Hyler, Marcus Nail, Larry Sims, Keith and Patrick Smith and Bill Tyree.
Memorial contributions may be made to Center Point Church of God Building Fund, P.O. Box 589, Prairie Grove, AR 72753.

Esther Dodson
PANAMA — Esther Lee Dodson, 96, of Panama died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, in Poteau. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Panama. She was the widow of Everett Dodson.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Poteau with burial at Fairview cemetery in Panama under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She is survived by a son, Harold Dodson of Panama, eight grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 29 great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bill Hicks, Jeff Cagle, J.D. Ollar, Bill Barlow, Johnny Bell and Barry Fisher.

Charles Franklin
Charles “Charlie” “Chuck” Franklin, 57, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at a local hospital. He was a custodian for Euper Lane Elementary School, a butcher for Winton’s IGA for 28 years, a member of Bluff Avenue Baptist Church and coached Little League football for the Boys Club.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lewis Funeral Chapel with burial at Oak cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; a daughter, Tonya Trantham of Fort Smith; a son, Allen Franklin of Fort Smith; his mother, Syble Franklin of Heavener; two sisters, Kay Truitt of Heavener and Paula Jean Barchenger of Owasso, Okla.; and a brother, Dale Franklin of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be Ray Koch, Tony Waters, Steve Truitt, Karl Tookey, Michael Franklin and Kelly Franklin.

Dorothy Lenard
LA FORTE, TEXAS — Dorothy Lenard, 81, of La Forte, Texas, formerly of Mena, died Thursday, Jan.. 23, 2003, in La Forte, Texas.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God faith. She was the widow of Loyd Lenard.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Cherry Hill cemetery in Cherry Hill under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
She is survived by a daughter, Yvonne Crowley of Channelvines, Texas; a son, Larry Lenard of Highlands, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Sally Jo Patterson
Sally Jo Wallace Patterson, 82, of Fort Smith died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at a local hospital.
She was a hair stylist at the Boston Store in Fort Smith and at Walker’s in Long Beach, Calif., and a member of the Goddard United Methodist Church in Fort Smith.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Pinecrest Memorial cemetery in Mena.
She is survived by a sister, Virginia Earhart.
Pallbearers will be Tommy and Tom Earhart, Brent and Bob Ellison, Rodney Bowen and John Satwatski.

Julia Brannon
TALIHINA — Julia Brannon, 71, of Talihina died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at a Fort Smith hospital. She was a Catholic.
Rosary service will be 6 p.m. today at the Talihina Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at the St. Catherine’s of Sienna Catholic Church in Talihina with burial at the Old Talihina cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Lonnie; four daughters, Debra Meredith of Alma, Karen Huerta of Apple Valley, Calif., Cynthia Gappmeyer of Panama and Darlene Wilson of Vernal, Utah; three sisters, Anna Wells of Fort Smith, Gloria Martino of Staton Island, N.Y., and Terry Lockhart of Belleville, N.J.; a brother, Arthur Contreras of Morris Plains, N.J.; 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Willie Wilson, Jerry Meredith, Charles Newell, Dennis Palmer, Kaleb Meredith and Nathan Taylor.

Cleo Garrison
Cleo Bell Garrison, 89, of Van Buren died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, in a local hospital. She was a homemaker.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Fairview cemetery in Van Buren.
She is survived by a brother, Ben Jones of Van Buren
Pallbearers will be Raymond and Ben W. Jones, Bill Marion, Batch Parks Richard Strite and Phillip Richardson.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Andana Manager
Andana Manager, 95, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, in local nursing home. She was a member of First Church of God in Christ and a retired beautician.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday in First Church of God in Christ with burial at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Flake and Mary Barnes, both of Fort Smith, and Jo Ann Franklin of Riverside, Calif.; four sons, Gleason Manager Jr. of Greenwood, Robert and Roy Manager, both of Oklahoma City, and Raymond Manager of Los Angeles; 25 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Xavier Williams, Henry Webster, Robert Flake, Calvin Meyers, Lee Bell and David Wood.
The body may be viewed from 1 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

June Martin
ROLAND — June Martin, 73, of Roland died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, in Roland. She was born April 3, 1929, in Lee’s Creek Community. She was a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church of Roland and a graduate of Roland High School.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Roland with burial at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow.
She is survived by her husband, Fred; a daughter, Paula Blackman of Roland; a son, Alan Martin of Roland; four sisters, Bonnie Rogers and Ruby Westberry, both of Muldrow, Ruth Mayes of Sallisaw and Grace Smith of Scott Community, Okla.; twin brother, Carl Russell Jr. of Scott Community, Okla.; and three grandsons.
Pallbearers will be Leslie Strong, Dennis Wood, Vince Bonner, Lee Blackman, Wayne Henson and Tex Wood.
The body may be viewed from 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

SALLISAW — Bud B. Pollard, 56, of Sallisaw died January, 24, 2003, in Sallisaw. He was a former self-employed driver and was of the Holiness faith.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Rocky Point cemetery north of Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
He is survived by his wife, Rae Jean Pollard; four stepdaughters, Stephanie Emerson, Kari Lowrimore and Diana Miller, all of Sallisaw, and Leigh Ann Poor of Tahlequah, Okla.; two sons, Jerry Pollard of Apache, Okla., and Buddy Eugene Pollard of Lancaster, Calif.; a stepson, Les Lowrimore of Sallisaw; two sisters, Charlotte Hill and Linda Johnson, both of Sallisaw; two brothers, Bill Pollard of Spiro and John Pollard of Muldrow; and seven stepgrandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Les Lowrimore, Larry and Joshua Emerson, Paul Jahay, Tommy Watkins and Johnny Williams.
