BEGGS, Okla. — Gerry Williams, 60, of Beggs, Okla., formerly of Poteau, died Friday, April 18, 2003, in her home. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church and the widow of Eldon Williams.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Mountain View in Howe under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener.
She is survived by a daughter, Vicki Clay of Beggs; two sons, Randy Sellno and Ron Williams, both of Poteau; a sister, Lou Cognavich of Vidor, Texas; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Jack Whitesell
OZARK — Jack Whitesell, 69, of Ozark died Saturday, April 19, 2003, in a local hospital.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Belt cemetery in Ozark under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
He is survived by two daughters, Crystal and Patricia Whitesell; a son, Frankie Whitesell; and three sisters, Dee Vredenburg and Nevada Sturdivant, both of Ozark, and Betty Holland of Sand Springs, Okla.
Pallbearers will be David, Gary, Grant, Steven and Kyle Sturdivant and Jack Blackburn.
Wallace Williams
Wallace Williams, 94, of Van Buren died Friday, April 18, 2003, in his home. He was a retired assistant postmaster of the Van Buren Post Office, a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Van Buren and a member of the National Association of Federal Employees.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Ocker Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Fairview cemetery in Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Anna; two daughters, Martha Hartman of Fort Worth, Texas, and Faye Weeks of Fort Smith; a brother, John Williams of Fayetteville; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Andy Lockhart, Clay Hampton, David and Tom Martin, Andy Neal and John Starks.
The family will visit with friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Van Buren Gospel Rescue Mission or the First Presbyterian Church in Van Buren.
Keneth Dalton
TULSA — Kenneth Thomas Whitman Dalton, 72, of Tulsa died Friday, April 18, 2003, in a Tulsa nursing home. He was a retired welder, a Mason and a Navy veteran of the 
Korean War.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Steep Hill cemetery in Rye Hill under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
He is survived by two sisters, Jo Bateman of Fort Smith and Nancy Higgerson of Tulsa; and a brother, Bill Dalton of Houston, Texas.
The body may be viewed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

HARTFORD — Clayd Trent, 58, of Hartford died Thursday, April 17, 2003, in Fort Smith. He was retired from Clark Lift and was a Marine Corps veteran.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Hartford Memorial Park in Hartford under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Hartford.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Trent of Dyer; a daughter, Crystal Trent of Hartford; a son, Randy Trent of Hartford; his mother, Ivie Trent of Hartford; a sister, Iva Jean Kepesky of Hartford; and four grandchildren.
The body may be viewed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

WALDRON — Ayline Farnsworth, 90, of Waldron died Friday, April 18, 2003, in a Waldron nursing home. She was a retired sales clerk and assistant manager of a dry goods store, a member of Mount Pleasant Methodist Church and a nursing home volunteer.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Mount Pleasant Methodist Church with burial at Mount Pleasant cemetery near Waldron under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron.
She is survived by a daughter, Lillian Jones of Waldron.
Pallbearers will be Jerrel Plummer, Billy Ray Oldham, Bob Ford and Danny Haga.
The body may be viewed from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Ocie Justice
MULDROW — Ocie Ola Justice, 85, of Muldrow died Saturday, April 19, 2003, in Muldrow. She was a homemaker, a cook at Muldrow Nursing Home and a member of Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow. She is the widow of Willam Justice.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Muldrow with burial at Memory Gardens cemetery in Muldrow.
She is survived by a sister, Odessa Freeman of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; and a niece and caregiver, Carolyn Swindell of Muldrow.
The body may be viewed from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
Wendy Maier
MOUNTAINBURG — Wendy Maier, 51, of Mountainburg died Friday, April 18, 2003, in her home. She was a food service director for Mountainburg Public Schools, a lifelong resident of Turner community and a 1969 graduate of Mountainburg High School.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Alma with burial at Pope cemetery.
She is survived by her companion, Butch Boerjan of Mountainburg; a daughter, Brandi Simco of Mountainburg; a son, Christopher Boerjan of Mountainburg; a sister, Eloise Jackson of Mountainburg; three brothers, Herman Ree of Short, Okla., Lawrence Mirus of Alma and Richard Mirus of Mountainburg; and one grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Dale and Bobby Willroth, Jerry Phillips, Darrell Mirus, Lee Jackson and Wayne Ree.
Malcom Baber
MULBERRY — Malcom Eugene Baber, 77, of Mulberry died Thursday, April 18, 2003, in his home. He was a retired salesman and an Army veteran of World War II. He was the widower of Ijuana Baber.
Memorial graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Dyer cemetery Arbor under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by three sons, Richard Baber of Elkins, Steve Baber of Gary, Okla., and Bobby Baber of Mulberry; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
George Lang
CLARKSVILLE — George Herman Lang, 50, of Clarksville died Thursday, April 17, 2003, in his home. He was born Oct. 11, 1952, in Concord, Calif. He was a graduate of San Jose, Calif., High School and a former employee of Bright Harvest Sweet Potato Plant.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville. The body was cremated.
He is survived by his wife, Sue; three daughters, Andrea and Erika Lang, both of Clarksville, and Shana Grandstaff of Toulemne, Calif.; his mother, Vivian Lang of San Jose; and two sisters, Janice Lang of San Jose and Jeanne Reynolds of Belgium.
Billy Ramsey
CLARKSVILLE — Billy Eugene Ramsey, 79, of Clarksville died Friday, April 18, 2003, in a Little Rock hospital.
Cremation was under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home of Clarksville.
He is survived by his wife, Florence; three daughters, Jackie Rice of Russellville, Kathy Ramsey of Signal Mountain, Tenn., and Susan Crossman of Ocean Side, Calif.; a son, Tom Ramsey of Clarksville; and three grandchildren.
Jack Dickey
Jack. L. Dickey, 60, of Fort Smith died Thursday, April 17, 2003, in Fayetteville. He was an Air Force veteran.
No service is planned. Burial will be at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
He is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Dickey of Fort Smith.
Natacia DeLaCerda
MULDROW — Natacia Marie DeLaCerda, 18, of Muldrow died Monday, April 14, 2003, in her home. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Truth.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Lee’s Chapel cemetery southeast of Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse; her father, Zane Gray Jr. of Muldrow; two sisters, Tina Stratmann and Cassia Gray, both of Muldrow; and five brothers, Wallace Gray of Norman, Okla., Ron Gray of Fort Smith and Jerry, Tommy and Eric Gray, all of Muldrow.
Elise Bedwell Ross
Elise Bedwell Ross, 45, of Fort Smith passed away Friday, April 18, 2003, in a local hospital. She was born July 13, 1957, in Fort Smith. She attended Southside High School and the University of Arkansas, where she received a master’s degree in guidance counseling. Elise spent her life as an advocate of children’s education from her work as a teacher in Little Rock to counseling at Orr and Euper Lane schools in Fort Smith and service in the Euper Lane PTA. Presently, she was employed as director of Hobson Preschool of the First Presbyterian Church, having previously served on the school’s board. A member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority, Elise was active in the local alumni club. She was also a member of the Junior League of Little Rock and PEO, Chapter BD in Fort Smith. Elise loved her home, reading, traveling and outdoor activities with her family and friends.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
She is survived by a son, Robert T. Ross Jr. of the home; her parents, Edward and Eloise Bedwell; a sister, Ann Haggard and a brother, Ed Bedwell, all of Fort Smith; a sister, Barbara Noland of Fayetteville; one niece and three nephews and many good friends.

Garland C. Wells, 83, of Fort Smith Garland C. Wells, 83, of Fort Smith died Friday, April 18, 2003, Friday, April 18, 2003, in a local hospital. He was born May 1, 1919, in Peter Pender. He was a retired employee of Dixie Cup after 33 years of service, a member of St. Paul United Methodist church and the Builders Sunday school class, a past board member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, a member of R.S.V.P., one of the founders of St. Paul United Methodist Church, a member of Habitat for Humanity, a volunteer carpenter at St. Paul United Methodist Church and an Army and Air Force veteran. He was the widower of Betty Wells.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul United Methodist Church with a private committal at Roselawn cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
He is survived by two sons, Karl and Ron Wells, both of Fort Smith; two sisters, Irene Stevens and Margaret Chastain, both of Fort Smith; a brother, Robert H. Wells of Fort Smith; three grandchildren, Kim Brown, Amanda Gray and Rachel Wells; and one great-grandson, Zack Brown.
Pallbearers will be Buster Moore, Wally Gattis, Jerry Chastain, Robby Tran, Wesley Truex and Mike Pettigrew.

Earl Nelson Greenwood
Earl Nelson Greenwood, 68, of Fort Smith died Thursday, April 17, 2003, in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 4, 1934, in Spiro. He was a graduate of Pocola High School and attended Northeastern State University. He was the retired owner of Computer Processing, a Navy veteran and a member of VFW and was awarded the China Service Medal, the National Defense Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
Funeral will be at 8:30 a.m. Monday at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith with a graveside service at 11 a.m. Monday at Fort Gibson National cemetery in Fort Gibson, Okla.
He is survived by a daughter, Melanie Mayer of Muskogee, Okla.; three sisters, Geneva Almond of Crown Point, N.M., Thelma Kelley of Edmond, Okla., and Betty Freeman of Pocola; and two brothers, Arnold Greenwood of Fairfield, Calif., and Carl Greenwood of Lavaca.
The body may be viewed 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
