Billy Dunlap
MENA — Billy Dunlap, 60, of Mena died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born March 30, 1942, in Olney, Texas. He was a fleet service clerk for American Airlines and a member of the First Baptist Church in Olney.
Graveside service will 2 p.m. today at Board Camp cemetery under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy; a daughter, Lisa Grimes of Mena; two sons, Bill Dunlap of Mena and Wade Dunlap of Conway; a sister, Dora Mae Crosthwait of Olney; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.

Frances Cox
A. Frances Cox, 84, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, in Fort Smith. She was born Jan. 22, 1918, in Cameron. She was a nurse at the hospitals in Poteau for about 40 years and a member of Southside Baptist Church in Poteau.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Evans & Miller Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Poteau with burial at Oakland cemetery in Poteau.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Kjelstrom of Poteau; a brother, Trammell McClure of Tulsa; and one grandchild.

Diana Kazy
PLAIN DEALING, La. — Diana Kazy, 49, of Plain Dealing, La., died Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, in her home. She was a resident of Plain Dealing for the past three years, attended the Oak Grove Assembly of God and was a homemaker.
Funeral will be today at Midland Assembly of God with burial at Velley View cemetery in Midland under the direction of Bailey Mortuary of Plain Dealing.
She is survived by her husband, Eddie; two sons, Samuel Kazy of Midland and William Kazy of Fort Smith; her mother, Flossie England of Muldrow; two sisters, Glenda Brackett of Barling and Johnnie Oder of Muldrow; and two brothers, Olen England and Dewayne England, both of Muldrow.
Pallbearers will be Brian and Bobby Brackett, Alton and Wade Branum, Shawn Shackleford and Brad and Josh Crowe.

Agnes Harrell
STIGLER — Agnes Harrell, 86, of Stigler died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, in Stigler.
Funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mallory Funeral Home Chapel in Stigler with burial at Garland cemetery in Stigler.
She is survived by a daughter, Wanda Jean Bond of Stigler; a brother, Jackie Harrell of Rockmart, Ga.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Opal Bruso
Opal E. Bruso, 76, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, in a local hospital. She was a homemaker, a member of Northside United Pentecostal Church and the widow of Milford Bruso.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Northside United Pentecostal Church with burial at the U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Adams of Fort Smith; two sons, Jimmy and Raymond Bruso, both of Fort Smith; four sisters, Betty Boyster of Bonanza, Thelma Bamburg of Fort Smith, Mildred Neal of Borger, Texas, and Viola Johnson of Memphis, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Dale Bruso, Brian and Kyle Bruso, Paul Upchurch, David Sparkman and Ronnie Patrick.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Jerlene Thompson
WALDRON — Jerlene “Jerry” Ammons Thompson, 73, of Waldron died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, in her home. She was a homemaker and a member of Waldron First United Methodist Church.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron with burial at Pilot Prairie cemetery in Waldron.
She is survived by her husband, Ben; a daughter, Mechelle Bailey of Fayetteville; two sisters, Mevalene Ashford and Evelyn Ammons, both of Waldron; and a granddaughter.
The family will visit with friends from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Methodist Children’s Home, Scott County Library and Pilot Prairie cemetery, c/o Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 786 Waldron, AR 72958.

Roma Lattimore
SALLISAW — Roma Lattimore, 66, of Sallisaw died Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, in Sallisaw. She was a homemaker, a former cannery worker in California and a former Whirlpool Corporation employee in Fort Smith. She was a Methodist, a member of 14 Flags Heritage Club and the Miller Ridge Card Club.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Akins Assembly of God with burial at Akins cemetery northeast of Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; two daughters, Teresa Ann Catsavis and Connie Lynn Olcott of Fort Smith; two sons, Robert Charles Lattimore and Gary Don Lattimore, both of Sallisaw; a sister, Betty Thunen of Yuba City, Calif.; six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Seth and Blake Lattimore, Cole Brightwell, Austin Olcott, Phillip Thunen and Jason Blalock.

Raymond Lamproe
UNIONTOWN — Raymond Z. Lamproe, 76 of Uniontown died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, in his home. He was retired from Kay Chair Co. in Van Buren.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bryant cemetery near Cedarville under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Nora; two daughters, Lela Faye Stephens of Roland and Dovie Lamproe of Uniontown; four sons, Raymond B. Lamproe of Cedarville, Rallin John Lamproe and Will James Lamproe, both of Uniontown, and Joe D. Lamproe of Roland; three sisters, Sadie Mae Mitchell of Sapulpa, Okla., Dorothy Slusher of Mulberry and Susie Harris of Chester; six brothers, Luke, Bill and Floyd Lamproe, all of Van Buren, Ed and Leonard Lamproe, both of California, and Lonnie Lamproe of Rudy; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tony Floyd, Calvin Phillips, James Parmenter, Daniel Lamproe, Jeff Edwards and Butch Floyd.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons and brothers-in-law.

Mildred Yarbrough
Mildred L. Yarbrough, 88, of Van Buren died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2002, in a local hospital. She was a homemaker, a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Fort Smith and the widow of Roy Yarbrough.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Delaware Assembly of God Church in Delaware with burial at Louvina cemetery near Dardanelle under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by two sons, Jay Yarbrough of Taylor and Tommy Yarbrough of Van Buren; a sister, Juanita Martin of Oklahoma City; three brothers, Elton Heath of Oklahoma City, Alton Heath of Muldrow and Aulton Heath of Delaware; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Chloe Brown
COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Chloe Karl Brown, 88, of College Station, Texas, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003. She was born July 11, 1914. She was a member of West University United Methodist Church in Houston and the Eastern Star. She was the widow of Thomas Brown Sr.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas Brown Jr. of College Station and Jerry Brown of Benton, La.; a sister, Vera Bates of Pocola; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Derrick Williams
Derrick Keith Williams, 31, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2002, in a local hospital. He was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church, a graduate of Northside High School and an employee of Ace Brick Co.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Grand Avenue Baptist Church with burial at Oak cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his father, Norman Williams of Fort Smith; three sisters, Rhonda Shepard and Delores Williams, both of Fort Smith, and Euphemia Kuykendall of Los Angeles; and four brothers, Marvin, Norman Jr., Sidney and Terrence, all of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be James and Eugene Williams, Ray Jones, Mitchell Parker Jr., Bobby Shepard Jr. and Toney Chaney.
Honorary pallbearers will be uncles.

Mary Frost
Mary Frost, 80, of Fort Smith died Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, in Fort Smith.
She was a homemaker and a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by Roy E. Frost Sr.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith.
She is survived by a daughter, Darlene Dixon of Fort Smith; a son, Roy Frost Jr. of Forrest City; two sisters, Frances Andrews and Joyce Bradford of Snellville, Ga.; and two grandchildren, Kevin Frost and Andrea Price.
Pallbearers will be Harry Ringler, Carl Underwood, Jon Lieux and Kevin Frost.

John J. “Jack” Helfrich, 73, of Fort Smith died Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, in Fort Smith.
He was a retired engineer for the Whirlpool corporation, a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus where he was state deputy and state master of the fourth degree, honorary life member of the Westside Nut Club of Evansville, Ind., and past president of the Whirlpool Management Club.
Rosary will be 7 p.m. Monday at Edwards Funeral Home. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial at Holy Cross cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Rita; three daughters, Terri and husband Steve Haaser of Fort Smith, Jane and husband Dick Wakefield of Fort Smith and Anna and husband Jeff Kupers of Vicksburg, Miss.; five sons, Peter and wife Christine Helfrich of Salt Lake City, Donald Helfrich of Longview, Texas, Lt. Col. Kenneth and wife Cathy Helfrich of Jacksonville, N.C., Matthew Helfrich of Lavaca and Thomas and wife Danielle Helfrich of Stevensville, Mich.; two sisters, Donna Rowlett of Newburg, Ind., and Mary Brown of Napersville, Ill.; a brother, William F. Helfrich of Evansville, Ind.; 20 children and one great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Peter, Donald, Kenneth, Matthew and Thomas Helfrich, Joel Haaser and Justin Brown.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Clabber Club and the Retired Whirlpool Breakfast Club.
The family will visit with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Billy Joe Crabtree
MULBERRY — Billy Joe Crabtree, 68, of Mulberry died Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, in Fort Smith.
He was a self-employed civil engineer.
Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel in Van Buren. The body was cremated.
He is survived by a son, Rayce Crabtree Sr. of Fort Smith and one grandson.

Burnett Willmon
CARLSBAD, N.M. — Burnett “Jingles” Willmon, 87, of Carlsbad, N.M., formerly of McCurtain, Okla., died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, in Lubbock, Texas.
He was born March 13, 1915 and was a member of the First Assembly of God in Carlsbad, N.M.
Funeral will be 2:30 p.m. today at the McCurtain Assembly of God with burial at Miners cemetery in McCurtain, Okla., under the direction of King and Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
He is survived by two daughters, Sue Hamilton of McAlester, Okla., and Sandra Kay Willmon of Lubbock, Texas; a son, Benny Willmon of Carlsbad, N.M; two sisters, Jennie Wilson of McCurtain, Okla., and Euna Lee Norris of Bokoshe; a brother, Jeff Dolan Willmon of Miami Lakes, Fla.; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Cody McMahan, Steve Norris, Dolan and Donald Willmon, Gary Wilson and Kevin Willmon.
