Raymond Bennett
KEOTA — Raymond “Stump” Bennett, 72, of Keota died Friday, Jan. 10, 2003.
He was a member of the Star Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Star Missionary Baptist Church with burial at Keota cemetery in Keota under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Stigler.
He is survived by his wife, Marteen; a daughter, Linda McCelllan of Norman; two sons, Duke Bennett of Keota and David Bennett of Norman; a brother, Vernon Bennett of Noble, Okla.; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Shay, Ben, Sam, Jim and Raymond Bennett and Kealin Hailey.

Joey Fowler
HARTMAN — Joey Lee Fowler, 20, of Hartman died Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, at his home.
He was born March 11, 1982, in Perrytown, Texas. He attended Westside High School and was very active in sports. He was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Union Grove Baptist Church with burial at Bethlehem cemetery in Hartman under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home of Hartman.
He is survived by his parents, John W. Fowler and Sheila Ragsdale of Hartman; his grandparents, Steve and Zelma Stephan of Hartman, Laura Kelley of Hunt and Bill Stewart of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Amber Koop of Anchorage, Alaska; and three brothers, Jeremy Delrio of Clarksville, Joshua Delrio of Clarksville and Jay Fowler of Hartman.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy and Joshua Delrio, Jay Fowler, Brandon Southard, Allen Gordon and Terrance Davenport.

Arlis Jones
CRAWFORDVILLE, FLA. — Arlis Robert Jones, 56, of Crawfordville, Fla., formerly of Sallisaw, died Wednesday, Jan. 8. 2003, in Tallahassee, Fla. He was a Protestant.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Sallisaw City cemetery in Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
He is survived by three sons, Craig Jones of California, Damien Jones of Nevada and Jason Jones of Wisconsin; his father and stepmother, Arlis and Mary Lou Jones of Sallisaw; his mother, Pauline G. Gibson Jones of Lakeport, Calif.; a sister, Sharon Moon of Lakeport, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jessie Gibson, David and Dwight Graham, Ronnie Jones, Charles Roberts and Larry Wood.

Frank Farmer
MULDROW — Frank H. “Henry” Farmer, 92, of Muldrow died Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, in a Sallisaw hospital.
He was a former factory worker at Wards Furniture in Fort Smith, an Air Force veteran of World War II and the former co-owner and operator of Farmer’s Variety and Drug in downtown Muldrow with his wife. He was retired firefighter with the Muldrow Fire Department and a member of the Bruton Lodge No. 30 in Muldrow for more than 50 years where he had held the office of worshipful master. He was a member of the First Assembly of God in Muldrow.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at First Assembly of God in Muldrow with burial at Lees Chapel cemetery south of Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow.
He is survived by his wife, Emma; a daughter, Saundra Lee Wade of Muldrow; a son, Frankie D. Farmer of Muldrow; three sisters, Alene Brown, Lillian Ramey and Nora Mae Lewis, all of Muldrow; and two grandchildren.
The body may be viewed today from 1 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sequoyah Memorial Hospice, P.O. Box 505, Muldrow 74948.

Robert Lamb
Robert Lee Lamb, 73, of Van Buren died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, in a local nursing home. He was born March 15, 1929, in Alma. He was a retired salesman for National Distributing.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Alma City cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; two daughters, Debbie Swaim and Sarah Shockley, both of Van Buren; two sons, Rick Lamb of Forrest City and Terry Lamb of Fort Smith; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

J.L. Wilhelm
J.L. Wilhelm, 67, of Fort Smith died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, in his home. He was born Nov. 29, 1935, in Charleston. He was a retired salesman, a jet mechanic, an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, and a member of VFW, American Legion and DAV.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith.
He is survived by three daughters, Barbara Ballard of Van Buren, Midge Truett of Fort Smith and Gayle Lowe of Dorset, Ohio; a sister, Goldie Pollock of Roland; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Dale Schuller
MENA — Dale Mathews Schuller, 38, of Mena died Thursday, Jan. 9, 203, in his home. He was born June 28, 1964, in Darlington, Wis. He was a member of Mena Church of the Nazarene.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Mena Church of the Nazarene with burial at Cherry Hill cemetery under the direction of Hall Funeral Service of Mena.
He is survived by his parents, Deane and Susan Schuller of Mena; two sisters, Debora Schuller and Sandra Pruitt, both of Mena; and five brothers, James, Michael, William, Brian and Steven Schuller, all of Mena.
Pallbearers will be Larry Thomason, Eudell Head, Jessie and Jody Pruitt, Cory Eaton and Daniel Schuller.

Gerald Herron
SPIRO — Gerald Preston Herron, 61, of Spiro died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, in Spiro. He attended Keota High School, graduated from Northeastern University with a master’s degree in education, was retired from Fort Smith Public Schools and was a member of Keota First Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Keota First Baptist Church with burial at New Hope cemetery in Spiro under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro.
He is survived by his wife, Martha; a daughter, Diana Ridenour of Spiro; a son, Phillip Herron of Spiro; a stepdaughter, Sandy Gilkey of Fort Smith; a sister, Lovella Herron of Fort Smith; three grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Larry Lovejoy, Frank Roe, Wayne Perry, Gary Corder, Benny Blankenship and Alan Coffman.
The family will visit with friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

J.D. Smith
J.D. Smith, 69, of Fort Smith died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, in his home. He was retired from the Army after 22 years of service, having served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars, was a member of American Legion, a Mason, the Governors Council concerning Development Delayed Association and retired owner and manager of Superior Appliances.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gill cemetery in Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys; two daughters, Patricia Smith and Deborah Ruffner, both of Fort Smith; two sons, John Smith of Van Buren and Jerry Smith of Fort Smith; three sisters, Mary Smith and Lucille Kirby, both Tennessee, and Rosezella Shults of Indiana; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Smith, Billy, Justin, Will and Doug Cameron and Jesse Mann.
The family will visit with friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Charles Bowen
PARIS — Charles O. Bowen, 75, of Paris died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, in Paris. He was a retired factory worker from Ayers Furniture.
The body was cremated under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; two daughters, Ruby McAlister of Paris and Margarette Brown of Fort Smith; a son, Galen Bowen of Paris; a sister, Dula Mae Buck of Paris; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Michael Price
SPIRO — Michael V. Price, 54, of Spiro died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, in Spiro. He was born Dec. 1, 1948, in Cartersville, Okla. He was a welder.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Evans & Miller Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Pocola with burial at Old Cache cemetery in Cartersville, Okla.
He is survived by three daughters, Tammy Dodge and Lisa Franklin, both of Kansas City, Kan., and Annette Glory of Spiro; five sons, Mike Price of Texas, Kevin Price of Tulsa, Christopher Price of Spiro, Cody and Casey Price, both of Orville, Calif.; his mother, Betty Louise Powers of Spiro; two sisters, Karen Erwin of Pocola and Donna Schafer of Spiro; four brothers, Ray and Garry Price, both of Cookson, Okla., Alfred Price of Spiro and Marion Price of Sapulpa, Okla.; and 12 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Darrel Ritter, Samuel Smith, Billy Taylor and Troy Price, Bill McKinney Jr., Justin Taylor, Allan and Allan Wayne Crase.
The family will visit with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today and 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Millie Watts
STEPHENSVILLE, Va. — Millie Jane Watts, 94, of Stephensville, Va., died Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, in Front Royal, Va. She was a homemaker and a member of Haw Creek Baptist Church.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Pilot Prairie cemetery in Waldron under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron.
She is survived by a daughter, Naoma Kelley of Stephensville, Va.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Lisa Lynn Mathis
Lisa Lynn Mathis, 38, of Van Buren died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, in a local hospital. She attended New Heights Baptist Church in Alma, and was a graduate of Harrison High School Class of 1982 and a employee of Federal Express.
Funeral will be 9 a.m. today at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at 2 p.m. at Osborne cemetery near St. Joe.
She is survived by her parents, Morris and Juanita Mathis of Harrison; a brother, Jeff Mathis and his wife, Gay of Van Buren; a niece, Ashley Mathis of Van Buren; and a nephew, Kyle Mathis of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Winford Navrath, Mark Shelton, Justin Schambron, Roy Hicks, Paul Shipman and John Williams.

Ruby Nell Crawford, 81, of Van Buren died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, in a local hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of Van Buren First Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gill cemetery in Van Buren.
She is survived by her husband, Wilbur Crawford of the home; a daughter, Sharon Sullivan of Van Buren; a son, Wilbur Crawford II of Vilonia; a brother, Michael Woolverton of Choctaw, Okla.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Gary, Jimmy Don, Jimmy, Wayne, Truman Jr., Mark, Greg and Josh Crawford.

Geneva Mae Hopkins
Geneva Mae Hopkins, 83, of Natural Dam died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, in a local hospital. She was Born Dec. 22, 1919, in Crawford County. She was a homemaker.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Grandview Assembly of God with burial at Hall cemetery near Natural Dam under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by her husband, W. Ransford Hopkins of the home; three daughters, Clara Hopkins of Van Buren, Mary Lois and her husband, J.D. Carter of Natural Dam and Shirley and her husband, Richard Smithson of Van Buren; two sons, Darall Hopkins of the home and Carrol and his wife, Phyllis of Natural Dam; a sister, Dora Pruitt of Owasso, Okla.; a brother, Dee Brown of Perryville; five grandchildren, Jason, James and Joy Carter, April and Ashley Smithson; four great-grandchildren, Josh, Zach, Madeline and Halea Carter; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be T.J. Brown, Johnny Bond, Scott Knight, Carl Franklin, Noel Cook and Raymond Russell.
