MENA — Oza Bates Kelly, 79, of Mena died Monday, April 28, 2003, in her home. She was born Nov. 28, 1923, in Board Camp. She worked at the Renova Shirt Factory and of the Protestant faith. She was the widow of James Kelly.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Board Camp cemetery under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
She is survived by a daughter, Marty Hansen of Dallas; five sons, James Kelly of Oklahoma City, Bill Kelly of Oden, John and Jerry Kelly, both of Mena and Joe Kelly of Morrilton; a half sister, Louise Halpine of Kansas; a half brother, Vernon Bates of Colorado; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Derek Allen
HARVEY — Dereck Randall Allen, 18, of Harvey died Sunday, April 27, 2003, in Waldron. He was a student at Arkansas Valley Technical Institute and a Baptist.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron with burial at Monroe cemetery in Harvey.
He is survived by his parents, Larry and Robin Allen of Harvey; a sister, Autumn Allen of the home; three brothers, Aaron Allen of the home, Clinton Allen of Jonesboro and Larry Allen of Harvey; his grandparents, Chuck and Bonnie Milam of Oklahoma City, Shirley McClain of Yucca Valley, Calif., and Florence McLaughlin of Brooklyn; and great-grandparent, Marion McClain of Yucca Valley, Calif.
Pallbearers will be Lenny, Ronald and Sean Allen, Steve and Josh Mourton and Steve Passmore.

Norman Fulbright Sr.
Norman Lionel Fulbright Sr., 69, of Fort Smith died Thursday, April 24, 2003, in a local nursing home. He was a veteran of the Army.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith.
He is survived by a companion, Senobia Smith of Fort Smith; five sons, including Michael Fulbright of Oklahoma City and Norman Jr. of California; a stepdaughter, Lillian Smith of Tulsa; and three grandchildren.
The body may be viewed 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family will visit with friends at 5900 Kinkead No. 155 in Fort Smith.

Belester Williams
Belester Williams, 76, of Fort Smith died Saturday, April 26, 2003, in a local hospital. She was a retired factory worker and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church where she was a member of the Lydia Circle.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Shiloh Baptist Church with burial at Laird cemetery in Roland under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith.
She is survived by a daughter, Elsa Mosley of Muldrow; two sisters, Terry Williams of Detroit and Pearline Williams of Lawton, Okla.; five brothers, Sandy Williams of Shady Grove, Melvin and Leon Williams, both of Roland, Bennie II and Jackie, both of Detroit; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Marvin Castleberry, Irvin Morris, Darrel Mosley, Anthony, Derrick and Dwight Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.
The body may be viewed noon to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family will visit with friends at 102 South Durant in Muldrow.

Jimmy Smith
Jimmy C. Smith, 90, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, April 30, 2003, in Van Buren. He was born Feb. 7, 1913, in Vernon, Texas. He was a retired woodworker at Ward’s Furniture Factory in Fort Smith and a member of First Baptist Church in Fort Smith.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Smith Mortuary Chapel in Charleston with burial at Island cemetery northeast of Lavaca.
He is survived by a companion, Avon Smith of Fort Smith; three daughters, Orema Pitt of Jewell and Kan., Betty and Verna Inman, both of Clearlake, Calif.; two sisters, Ola Crook of Fort Smith and Fannie Stroub of Shell Beach, Calif.; and several grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Hobbs, Shelly Johnson, Bob Martin, James Berry, Novic and Ovic Free.
The family will visit with friends at the cemetery following the service.

Ray Howard
TULSA — Ray Noble Howard, 64, of Tulsa, formerly of Fort Smith, died Monday, April 28, 2003, in Tulsa. He was born Sept. 4, 1938, in Fort Smith.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Fort Gibson National cemetery in Fort Gibson, Okla., under the direction of Moore Memory Chapel of Tulsa.

Amanda Jordan
SANTA ROSA, Calif. — Amanda Ruby Warren Jordan, 87, of Santa Rosa, Calif., formerly of Gore, died Monday, April 28, 2003, in Santa Rosa. She was born Oct. 17, 1915, in Vian. She was a homemaker, a Protestant and the widow of David Jordan.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Gore with burial at Garden of Memories cemetery in Vian.
She is survived by a daughter, Charleen Albanese of Santa Rosa, Calif.; six sisters, Berlie Carillo and Mary Pack, both of Vian, Cora McElhaney of Florida, Doris McGrew of Benicia, Calif., Katherine Prince of Checotah, Okla. and Helen Childers of Sallisaw; three brothers, Lewis and J.T. Warren, both of Gore, and Hoover Warren of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
The body may be viewed 1 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Corene Rogers
GREENWOOD — Corene Rogers, 75, of Greenwood died Wednesday, April 30, 2003, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of Valley View Church of Christ in Greenwood.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Mount Zion cemetery in Greenwood under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
She is survived by a daughter, Debbie VanDuynhoven of Trinity, Ala.; five sons, Larry and Mike Rogers, both of Fort Smith, Dave Rogers and Rick Canada, both of Greenwood, and Kenny Rogers of Hartford; a sister, Betty Cole of Fort Smith; a brother, Harold Griffin of Greenwood; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
The body may be viewed 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association of Western Arkansas, 320 N. Greenwood Ave., Fort Smith, AR 72901.

Albert Rinke
ALTUS — Albert Ray Rinke, 71, of Altus died Wednesday, April 30, 2003, in Ozark. He was a retired machinist with Trans World Airlines after 30 years of service, a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Altus, the International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers, Local No. 1650 in Riverside, Mo., and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie No. 3455 in Altus.
Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. today at Shaffer Funeral Home in Ozark.
Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with burial at St. Mary’s cemetery in Altus.
He is survived by his wife, Nina; two daughters, Annetta Baker and Rhonda Holder, both of Altus; a son, Timothy Rinke of Rogers; four sisters, Doris Oberste of Belton, Mo., Pat Briggs of Excelsior Springs, Mo., Mary Carter of Kansas City, Mo., and Josephine Zey of Odessa, Mo.; three brothers, Gerald Rinke of Kansas City, Mo., Richard Rinke of Rogers and Vincent Rinke of Independence, Mo.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Samarin, Neil Haney, Adam Schluterman, Aaron Straub, Lee Ericson and Alain Bourdages.

Jesse Jones
Jesse R. Jones, 49, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, April 30, 2003, in Fort Smith. He was a driver for Caterhigh, during high school he was in the ROTC, the Wrestling Team and the FFA.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Fentress Mortuary Chapel in Fort Smith. The body will be cremated following the service.
He is survived by his wife, Tina; three sons, David Jones of Fort Smith and Chris Jones, and Justin Worley of Poteau; his mother, Minnie Conzley and stepfather, George Conzley of Arkoma; two sisters, Ellen Tuck of Kibler and Mildred McKenzie of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Chuk Jones of Arkoma and Leon Conzley of Fort Smith.

Sylvia M. Bainbridge
Sylvia M. Bainbridge, 85, of Ardmore, Okla., passed away Sunday, April 27, 2003, in Ardmore. She was a retired receptionist for Dr. Joe Balkman. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fort Smith and of the Joy Choir and Sunday school class.
Funeral will be at noon today at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith.
She is survived by a son, Norwood Tinder and wife, Terri of Ardmore, Okla.; three sisters, Ellarean Sampson of Fort Smith, Verdean Konke of Warren, Mich., and Mildred Shook of Pine Bluff; two grandchildren, Debra Clayton and Allen Tinder; special niece, Elizabeth Smith and great-aunt, Grace Ward of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Boley, Dr. Joe Balkman, Dr. Tom Wood, Butch Hardgrave and Joe and Raymond Rhodes.
Viewing will be from 8 to 11 a.m. today .

Viola Pearl Kinsey
Viola Pearl Kinsey, 90, of Van Buren passed away Sunday, April 27, 2003, in Van Buren. She was a retired licensed beautician and a member of Spradling Baptist Church. She was also last surviving charter member of Windsor Park Baptist Church.
Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Spradling Avenue Baptist Church with burial at Birta cemetery in Ola under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Bettes of Little Rock and Betty Kinsey of Alma; four granddaughters, Jeannie Dunn, Carolyn Godwin, Judy Hayes and Lori Carr; three great-granddaughters, Haley Godwin and Abigail and Esther Hayes; six great-grandsons, Allen, Daniel and Timothy Jeffcoat, Michel Godwin, Matthew Hayes and Ryan Carr.

Edna H. Ragan
Edna H. Ragan, 100, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, April 29, 2003, in Fort Smith. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star and was a sales clerk at the Boston Store and S & Q Clothier. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur W. Bungart, and her second husband, Edward Ragan.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fentress Mortuary Chapel in Fort Smith. Burial will be Monday at Forest Hills cemetery in Kansas City, Mo., under the direction of McGilley Memorial Chapel in Kansas City, Mo.
She is survived by a son, Rick Bungart and his wife, Phyllis Bungart of Texarkana, Texas; two grandchildren, Cindy Rachel Cranford of Wake Village, Texas, and Patricia Gail Phillips and her husband, Keven of Charleston, S.C.; four special friends, Ruth Stone, Sandra Green, Lisa Johnson and Zell Hurd.
Memorial contributions may be made to Methodist Village, 7811 Euper Lane, Fort Smith, AR 72903.

Roy Morgan
Roy William Morgan, 84, of Fort Smith died Saturday, May 3, 2003, in a local hospital. He was a computer operator for McDonnell-Douglas, was of the Assembly of God faith and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was the widower of Eberdean Morgan.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Clarks Chapel cemetery in Greenwood.
He is survived by three daughters, Charlotte Satchell of Fort Smith, Vivian Ray of Norco, Calif. and Michelle Morgan of Baldwin Park, Calif.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Satchell III, Max Garrett, Tracy Smith, Mark Wakefield, Bobby Holbrook, Mark Irvin, Mike Deffenbaugh and Kenneth Cole.
The family will visit with friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Larrie Gilstrap
HOWE — Larrie Gilstrap, 87, of Howe died Monday, May 5, 2003, in Poteau. She was born Dec. 23, 1915, in Obion, Tenn. She was in farming, a member of Howe Assembly of God and the widow of Roger Colbert and Paul Gilstrap.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at First Assembly of God in Howe with burial at Howe cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She is survived by two sons, Cleatus Colbert of Howe and Roger Colbert of Bakersfield, Calif.; 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
