Robert Ingram
RECTOR — Robert “Bob” Ingram, 70, of Rector died Wednesday, May 21, 2003, in his home. He was born Nov. 28, 1932, in Patterson. He was a retired funeral director and manager of Mitchell Funeral Home of Rector for 28 years and a farmer.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with burial at Woodland Heights cemetery in Rector.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy; a daughter, Vickie Mills of Van Buren; a son, Tim Ingram of Louisville, Ky.; two sisters, Vera Williams of Germantown, Tenn., and Pat Barclift of Collierville, Tenn.; two brothers, Wayne Ingram of Rector and Jim Ingram of Elgin, Okla.; his mother, Cleo Mae Ingram of Rector; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be his nephews, Doug, Mike, Jim and Chris Ingram, Ryan, Russ and Luke Brewer.
The family will visit with friends from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bernard Hospice.

Kevin Bowles
RUSSELLVILLE — Kevin Lane Bowles, infant son of Gene and Crystal Bowles of Russellville, died Thursday, May 22, 2003, in a Little Rock hospital.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Murry Funeral Home Chapel in Paris with burial at St. Joseph cemetery in Paris.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Allison Bowles of the home; paternal grandparents, Gene and Michelle Bowles of Pocola and Pam Bowles of Russellville; maternal grandparents, Cindy and Jeff Thrift of Austin and Acel and Jody Honey of Conway; paternal great-grandparents, Hurchel and Glenda Bowles of Paris and Alois and Evelyn Huber of Paris; maternal great-grandparents, Noble and Nola Rees of Austin and Reatha and Jack Shook of Beebe.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Hospital Genetic Research Center in Little Rock.

Dr. Frances Ralston
Dr. Frances Breland Ralston, 54, of Fort Smith died Monday, May 19, 2003, in her home. She was born Nov. 12, 1948. She was a professor of University of Arkansas at Fort Smith, previously with Arkansas State University of Westark, received a Ph.D. in 1998 at in Oxford, Miss., received an MBA in 1989 from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, was a faculty adviser of Phi Beta Lambda at Arkansas State University, CAP in Arkansas, member of ASCPA, American Accounting Association, AICPA, Academy of Accounting Historians, IMA, National Tax Association, Phi Beta Lambda Professional Division, Fort Smith Public Transit Advisory Commission, Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, Honor Society of Beta Gamma Sigma, was a breast cancer survivor, a member of First United Methodist Church of Fort Smith.
The body was cremated under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
She is survived by a son, Stuart of Dallas; a sister, Beth Breland of Arkadelphia; a brother, Brad Breland of Denver; and two grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Dr. Frances B. Ralston Scholarship Fund, c/o UA Fort Smith Foundation Inc., P.O. Box 3649, Fort Smith, AR 72913.

Helen McLaughlin
Helen Kate McLaughlin, 86, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, May 21, 2003, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker, was of the Assembly of God faith and the widow of John McLaughlin.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Union Hill cemetery near Waldron under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Dupuis of Tulsa; a son, Sam Jagger of Fort Smith; a sister, Elgin Dickens of Waldron; three brothers, Jack and Ules Owens, both of Waldron, and Body Owens of Paramount, Calif.

Eleanor Lafleur
MENA - Eleanor Lafleur, 71, of Mena died Wednesday, June 18, 2003, in her home. She was born March 25, 1932, in Providence, R.I. She was owner and operator of Red Carpet Real Estate and the Holiday Motel. She was the widow of Roger Lafleur. Funeral will be 4 p.m. today at Hall Memorial Funeral Service Chapel in Mena with burial at Pinecrest Memorial Park. She is survived by five daughters, Rachael Gigliobianco of Mena, Naomi Wing of Hubert, N.C., Cynthia Phelan of Weston, Mass., Elizabeth Ford of Board Camp and Eleanor Wilguess of Ruidoso, N.M.; a son, Fred Ford of Fort Sill, Okla.; two stepsons, Richard Lafleur of Penacook, N.H., and Ronald Lafleur of Little Rock; a sister, Anne Pelletier of Hudson, N.H.; a brother, Charles Gish of Nasauha, N.H.; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Margie Moore
CLARKSVILLE - Margie Rae Sexton Moore, 72, of Clarksville died Wednesday, June 18, 2003, in a Little Rock hospital. She was a retired factory worker and of the Baptist faith. She was the widow of Junior Moore. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville with burial at Oark cemetery. She is survived by two daughters, Loretta Wilson of Ozone and Connie Moore of Russellville; a son, Alan Moore of Van Buren; a sister, Argie Williams of Clarksville; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Travis and Todd Wilson, Shane Gray, Daniel Sanborn, Mike and Jason Moore. The family will visit with friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Eutha Putman
MENA - Eutha Putman, 67, of Mena died Thursday, June 19, 2003, in Hot Springs. She was born Sept. 12, 1935, in Opal. She was a member of Dallas Avenue Baptist Church. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Board Camp cemetery under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena. She is survived by two brothers, Joffery Putman of Norman, Ark., and Larry Putman of Fayetteville, N.C.

BARLING - Joseph 'Joe' Davis Sr., 86, of Barling died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 29, 1916, in Central City. He was a retired truck driver and attended Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fort Smith with burial at White Shelby cemetery in Fort Chaffee under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith. He is survived by his wife, Corinna; a daughter, Gail Brown of Rogers; two sons, Dewayne of Greenwood and Joe Davis Jr. of Fresno, Calif.; a sister, Mary Schroider of Dallas; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be John Jenkins, Jerry Barling, Don Knowls, Eddie Wakefield, Dan Smith and Robert Brown. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Alfonzo Wesley Sr. Alfonzo Wesley Sr., 85, of Fort Smith died Saturday, June 14, 2003, in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 7, 1918, in Moffett. He was a retired employee of Harding Glass and a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with burial at Oak cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith. He is survived by his wife, Mary; two daughters, LaDonna Releford and Emma Youngblood, both of Fort Smith; two sons, Robert Wesley of Hampton, Va., and James Wesley of Fort Smith; two stepsons, Petit Ford and Benny Wise, both of Fort Smith; a sister, Willie Carrethers of Spiro; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Tanner, Marcelis Register, Jesse Green, Bill Pitts, Kenneth Releford Jr. and Sjera Wesley.

Ruben Owens
GANS - Ruben Artist 'Sonny' Owens, 88, of Gans died Wednesday, June 18, 2003, in Gans. He was born April 4, 1915, in Van Buren. He was a civil service employee for 23 years and a Gans School bus driver for 23 years, of the Freewill Baptist faith and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was the widower of Ila Owens. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God in Gans with burial at Gans cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He is survived by three daughters, Artie Pruitt of Gans, Linda Stanford of Manford, Okla., and Karen Coynor of Marshall, Texas; five sons, George Owens of Roland, Jimmy Owens of Proctor, Okla., Ronnie Owens of Muldrow, Bobby Owens of Redland and Jackie Owens of Gans; a brother, Eldoe Owens of Muldrow; 18 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Wesley Pruitt, Matthew and Jimmy Owens Jr., Jake Stanford, Tommy Taylor, Todd Butcher and Todd Cooper. The body may be viewed 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Christopher Adams
Christopher John Adams, 20, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, in Fort Smith. He was in the Marine Corps, a 2001 graduate of Southside High School and attended First Assembly of God in Van Buren. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith with full military honors. He is survived by his father, Guy Adams of Fort Smith; his mother, Linda Adams of Muldrow; a brother, Travis Adams of Fort Smith; and his paternal grandmother, Charlotte Adams of Fort Smith. Pallbearers will be the Marine Corps. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Shirley Johnson
SPIRO - Shirley Johnson, 57, of Spiro died Thursday, June 19, 2003, in Spiro. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at New Hope cemetery in Spiro under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro. She is survived by her husband, Floyd; two daughters, Kim Pierce of Little Rock and AnJanette Phillips of Spiro; her mother, Velma Williams; two sisters, Carol Johnson and Brenda McCraw, both of Little Rock; two brothers, Manuel Williams of Sheridan and James Williams of Bauxite; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Willie Phillips, Earl Shewmaker, Sam, Kendall and Wendall McCormick and Ricky Tackett. The body may be viewed at the funeral home.

Cleo Eubanks
Cleo Eubanks, 88, of Van Buren died Wednesday, June 18, 2003, in Van Buren. She was a founding member of New Bethel Assembly of God in Fort Smith and the widow of Dana Eubanks. Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Fentress Mortuary Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith. She is survived by a daughter, Marjorie Keeton of Van Buren; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Lee D. Lowder, Bobby Lowder, James Lowder, Lee E. Christopher Jackson
Christopher Markel Jackson, infant son of Ursula Branley-Feble and Jermaine Jackson, both of Fort Smith, died Saturday, June 14, 2003, in Springdale. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. today at Washington cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Janice Holden and Traci West, both of Fort Smith; and great-grandparents, Donna Branley-Feble of Fort Smith and Marie Stewart of Louisiana.

Maudie Terbieten
Maudie Terbieten, 91, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, in Fort Smith. She was a member of Saint Boniface Catholic Church, was retired from Superior Federal Bank and was the widow of Herman Terbieten. Mass will be 11 a.m. today at St. Boniface Catholic Church with burial at Holy Cross cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith. Pallbearers will be the Knights of Columbus. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church, 1820 N. B St., Fort Smith, AR 72901.

Kate Aldridge
SPIRO - Kate Aldridge, 97, of Spiro died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, in Spiro. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Spiro and a member of Woodsmen of the World. Funeral will be 3 p.m. today at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Leard cemetery. She is survived by two daughters, Leona Carter of Fort Smith and Mary Gray of Spiro; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jack, Scott, Barry and Landon Gray, Jay Stephens and T.J. Ingersoll.

Josephine Dempsey
POCOLA - Josephine Dempsey, 97, of Pocola died Thursday, June 19, 2003, in Fort Smith. She was the widow of John Dempsey. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Fentress Mortuary Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith. She is survived by two sons, Bobby Dempsey of Arkoma and Billy Dempsey of Van Buren; a sister, Thelma Taylor of Fort Smith; a brother, James Tucker of Fort Smith; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Benny Williams, Kent Benge, Franklin Nelke, Terry and Mike Lea and Rex Matthews. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

John Meeks McCormack
The Rev. John Meeks McCormack, 94, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Little Rock. He was born Aug. 16, 1908, in rural Mountain Home, the son of Campbell Alonzo and Elizabeth Caldwell McCormack, and the youngest of six children. He will be missed by his family and his many friends. He married Iva Leonora Sanford on June 1, 1929. She preceded him in death on Feb. 2, 1993. They had four children, Janice and Richard Griffin of Fort Smith, Paul and Betty and Dean and LaDonna, all of Benton, and Joe and Maida McCormack of Ballwin, Mo. He had 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. John graduated from the College of the Ozarks and then Southern Methodist University, where he received his divinity degree with a minor in music. He was consecrated as an ordained minister in the United Methodist Church and was a true and faithful servant. He served as pastor of many churches in Texas and the north Arkansas and Little Rock conferences before his retirement in 1978 with 50 years in the ministry. John lived his faith as well as preached it, and he continued in pastoral care and preaching for many years in the Mountain Home area. Throughout his life, he wrote poetry and made beautiful music. He played the guitar and harmonica, and his specialty was the violin. He was gifted with tremendous vocal talent; he used his musical gifts to support his college efforts as well as in all of the churches he served. He was continually involved in civic activities in the communities where he lived. He moved to Benton in 1998 to be near family. Funeral will be 3 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Mountain Home with burial at Mountain Home cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Mountain Home. Memorial contributions may be made to any United Methodist Church in the Arkansas Conferences or Methodist Children's Homes.

Paul Edwards
GREENWOOD - Paul Edwards, 52, of Greenwood died Tuesday, July 8, 2003, in his home. He was retired from Best Buy in management and was a member of Greenwood First Baptist Church. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Greenwood First Baptist Church with burial at Liberty cemetery in Greenwood under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. He is survived by his wife, Mary; a daughter, Ashleigh Edwards of the home; a son, Jonathan Edwards of Springfield, Mo.; a sister, Marjorie Farmer of Enterprise, Ala.; and four brothers, Dave Edwards of West Hills, Calif., Wendell Edwards of Moline, Ill., Larry Edwards of Englewood, Colo., and Tony Edwards of Anacortes, Wash. Pallbearers will be Dave and Wendell Edwards, Loren and Dale Burkhalter, Larry Bilyeu and Jim Pachlhofer. The body may be viewed 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Greenwood First Baptist Church Future Family Life Center, P.O. Woodrow Pearce
PARIS - Woodrow Kennington Pearce, 89, of Paris died Wednesday, July 9, 2003, in Paris. He was a retired carpenter and a World War II Army veteran. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Havana cemetery in Havana under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris. He is survived by a sister, Mary Breed of Paris; and two brothers, Lovel Pearce of San Jose, Calif., and Ray Pearce of Russellville.

HEAVENER - Mark Paluso, 39, of Heavener died Tuesday, July 8, 2003, in Heavener. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Dowden Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener with burial at Greenhill cemetery in Cameron. He is survived by a son, Dustin Paluso of Memphis; his mother, Doris Crouch of Memphis; his father, Charles Paluso of Heavener; a sister, Teresa Paluso of Memphis; and a brother, Kevan Paluso of Bartiett, Tenn.
