Tam Thi Doan
Tam Thi Doan, 89, of Vietnam passed away on Friday, Aug. 15, 2003. She was born in 1915. She has seven children, five of whom live in Vietnam and two in Arkansas, her son, Hai Quang Tran of Van Buren, and daughter, Chau Quy Tran of Fort Smith; four grandchildren, Cantu Ta, Danny Hung Nguyen, Tuyeb Bich Ta and Tan Nguyen, all of Fort Smith; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be 2 p.m. today at Christ the King Catholic Church.
Bill Drummond
Bill Drummond, 67, of Mountainburg died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003, in a local hospital. He was a retired owner/operator of Tru-Fit Overhead Door in Mountainburg. He served in the Marine Corps. He was a member of Pigeon Creek Freewill Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge in Mountainburg. He was preceded in death by a son, Rex Drummond.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Bidville cemetery in the Bidville community under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Lenora, of the home; two daughters, Cheryl Bredrick and Sharon Gonzalez, both of Mountainburg; a son, Don Drummond of Mountainburg; four sisters, Evelyn Parker and Shirley Burnett, both of Beebe, Christine Edwards of Mountainburg and Louise Downum of Springdale; four brothers, Louie Drummond of the Bidville community, J.D. Drummond of Elkins, Teddy Drummond of Bentonville and Vernon Drummond of North Carolina; and three grandchildren, Valerie Bredrick, Brent Drummond and Amanda Gonzalez, all of Mountainburg.
Pallbearers will be Mike Bredrick, Chico Gonzalez, Brent and Don Drummond, Ken Chatman and Calvin Edwards.
William Arthur “Bill” Wackerly
William Arthur “Bill” Wackerly, 75, a true member of the greatest generation, passed from his earthly home to a heavenly home with his Father on Aug. 15, 2003. He had been hospitalized after surgery on July 28. Bill was born Dec. 28, 1927, in Branch. Upon graduation from Fort Smith Senior High in Fort Smith, he joined the Navy at 17 years old where he served his country very proudly during World War II as a radar man aboard the aircraft carrier USS Hancock. He worked many years in the oil and gas industry where his recognized integrity served as a tremendous example to his sons. Bill was a man who loved his family very deeply.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson Kyle Wackerly; and nephew Jimbo Bexley. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Wackerly; sons Joe Wackerly and wife Johnna of Edmond, Jim Wackerly and wife Sue of Yukon, Steve Wackerly and wife Brenda of Jones and David Wackerly and wife JoAnn of Hemet, Calif.; grandchildren Allyson and husband Travis, Brian, Brandon and Cindy, Melissa and husband J.J., Jimmy and Sherri; great-grandchildren Connor, Donovan, Cheyenne, Sage and Sierra. He is also survived by sister-in-law Sally Schull, niece Becky and children Sara and Hunter, and half brother Pat Hopkins.
The family will welcome visitors Sunday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, Laureate Upsilon Chapter Honorary Pallbearers will be envoy members of Beta Sigma Phi.
He was an Arkansan by birth and a Razorback by the grace of God.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Edmond First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Mark Hollingsworth officiating. Interment will be at Hartford Memorial cemetery in Hartford. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his name be made to Edmond First Church of the Nazarene, Building Fund, where he and wife JoAnn are active members.
Services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home.
Dorothy Clem
Dorothy Clem, 85, of Lavaca died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, in Charleston. She was born Aug. 27, 1917, at Arbuckle Island to William David Dotson and Lona Ann Woods. She was a homemaker and a member of Riverdale Freewill Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Smith Mortuary Chapel in Charleston with burial at Garden of Memories cemetery in Charleston.
She is survived by a daughter, Ann Neal of Lavaca; two sons, Earl D. and Bob Clem, both of Lavaca; two sisters, Kathryn Schuch of Fort Smith and Hilda Ruth Waits of Hillsboro, Texas; a brother, William Davis Dotson of Oregon; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brady, Brian, Steven and Bobby D. Clem, Megan and Donna S. McFerran and Mike Neal.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
John “Dobber” Williamson
John “Dobber” Williamson, 88, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2003, in Fort Smith. He was a retired self-employed auto mechanic and a member of Rye Hill Baptist Church. His wife Mary preceded him in death.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Steep Hill cemetery in Rye Hill under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by three daughters, Brenda Stephenson of Van Buren, Terry Bonds of Muldrow and Ruby Hamby of Roland; five sons, Rod and John W. Williamson, both of Muldrow, Bob and Gary Williamson, both of Fort Smith, and Monte Williamson of Roland; a sister, Emma Holland of Whitaker, Calif.; 20 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Jessica Montgomery
OZARK — Jessica Dawn Montgomery, 21, of Ozark died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was a 2000 graduate of Ozark High School and a student of the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at cemetery Ridge south of Ozark under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
She is survived by her parents, Mitchell Montgomery and Jerry and Tammy Hall, all of Ozark; maternal grandparents Donal and Betty Wood of Ozark; paternal grandmother, Reba Hall of Ozark; paternal grandparents James and Opal Montgomery of Ozark; paternal great-grandmother Oma Montgomery; a sister, Latisha Hall of Ozark; and a brother, Charley Hall of Ozark.
Pallbearers will be Lucas and Jamie Bateman, Terry and Todd Wood and Artemus and Allen Hall.

Irene Browning
WINSLOW — Irene Alice Browning, 76, of Winslow died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003, in her home. She was born Feb. 9, 1927, in Seminole, Okla. She was a member of Muse Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church in Oklahoma City. She moved with her family to the Winslow area in 1983 from Oklahoma City. She became a member of Living Faith Pentecostal Church of God in Fayetteville.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Living Faith Pentecostal Church of God in Fayetteville. Graveside service will be 3 p.m. at Greenlawn cemetery in Checotah under the direction of Beard’s Funeral Chapel of Fayetteville.
She is survived by her husband, Phillip; three sons, Danny Browning of Leadville, Ill., Stephen Browning of Phoenix and Rodney Browning of Houston; a daughter, Sharon Motley of Choctaw, Okla.; a sister, Grace Frazier of Checotah; a brother, John Waller of Grants Pass, Ore.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Patsy Jones
SALLISAW — Patsy Ruth Jones, 70, of Sallisaw, Okla., died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, in Sallisaw. A retired educator after 40 years, she taught first grade at Marble City, Putnam City and Sallisaw Central schools in Oklahoma, taught home economics at Derby, Kan., and Topeka, Kan., schools. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Sallisaw, a graduate of Gans High School and Northeastern State University and a former Teacher of the Year at Sallisaw Central School. She was retired from Wal-Mart after 18 years and was a former Whirlpool employee during the summers.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Eastside Baptist Church in Sallisaw with burial at Brent cemetery south of Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by a daughter, Tera Jones of Sallisaw; a son, James Pat Jones of Sallisaw; her mother, Jessie Smith of Gans; two brothers, Ethard Smith of Muldrow and James Smith of Olathe, Kan.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be James Pat Jones, Eric Jones, Mark and Brian Smith, Bob Barbee, Alfred Fullbright and Perry Lewis.

William Sherrill
BLUFFTON — William N. “Bill” Sherrill, 78, of Bluffton died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, in his home. He was an Army veteran, a master mason, a member of Masonic Lodge No. 123 in Bluffton, a member of the Mulberry Free Will Baptist Church and a retired pastor of Pleasant Hill Community Church.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Wing Community Church with burial at Mount Zion cemetery in Bluffton under the direction of Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville.
He is survived by five sons, Gary, Rick and Mike Sherrill, all of Bluffton, Terry Sherrill of Waldron and Seth Sherrill of Castroville, Texas; two sisters, Ora Powell of Pine Bluff and Opal Phillips of Star City; a brother, Leonard Sherrill of Blue Ball; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Timothy, Scott, Travis, Nolan and Cody Sherrill and Mitch Evans.
The body may be viewed from 4 to 6 p.m. today.

Reba Jones
HEAVENER — Reba Elnora Jones, 80, of Heavener died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003, in Heavener. She was born Feb. 9, 1923, in Hix, Okla. She was a homemaker and a charter member of the Big Creek Baptist Church and taught at the Ladies Sunday school for several years.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Big Creek Baptist Church in Heavener with burial at Hontubby cemetery in Hontubby, Okla., under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Jones of Hontubby; three daughters, Shirley Meeks, Jackey Steelman and Linda Duncan, all of Heavener; two sons, Ronnie Jones of Terrabonne, Ore., and Cary Jones of Caddo, Okla.; four sisters, Grace Pittman, Agnes Graham and Marybel Bowen, all of Heavener, and Tecie Ghent of Clarksville; 20 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Jones, Ronnie Edward Jones Jr., John Steelman, Jake Duncan, Kenneth Meeks and Jason Jones.
Junior Hutchins
WHITE BLUFF — Junior Lee “Jay” Hutchins, 71, of White Bluff died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, in his home. He was a retired employee of the city of Fort Smith and Beverly Enterprises, a member and trustee of Bonanza United Methodist Church, a member of the National Rifle Association and the VFW and an Army veteran of the 
Korean War.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday at White Bluff cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
He is survived by his wife, Esther; a daughter, Karen Mantooth of Fort Smith; a stepdaughter, Piper Karie of Phoenix; a stepson, Stuart Hutchins of Indianapolis, Ind.; a brother, Dallas Hutchins of Fort Smith; and three grandchildren.
Stateroom hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

LITTLE ROCK — Lou Ella “Crickett” Walker, 87, of Little Rock died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, in a Little Rock rehabilitation center. She was a retired child care director.

MAGAZINE — Francis Lea Beck, 80, of Magazine died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, in Booneville. She was a nurse at the State Sanitarium in Booneville and a member of First Baptist Church in Magazine.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Magazine with burial at Blue Mountain cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Booneville.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond; four daughters, Johnnie Hurley of Drasco, Betty Kluthe of Fort Smith, Barbara Fisher of Pasadena, Md., and Linda Rector of Blue Mountain; three sons, James and Willie Barnes, both of Booneville, and Charles Barnes of Magazine; a brother, Lawton Armstrong of Beebe; 31 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Jim Patton
STIGLER — Jim B. “Snapper” Patton, 81, of Stigler died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, in Muskogee, Okla. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as an artillery gunman in Germany, France and Italy.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Star Baptist Church in Keota with burial and military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4446 of Stigler at Stigler City cemetery under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Stigler.
He is survived by his wife, Morine; three daughters, DeLois Scroggins of Stigler, Jeannie Kimbro of Muskogee and Jane Doss of Keota; four sons, Bobby and Doyle Patton, both of Keota, Carl Patton of Coweta, Okla., and Darrell Patton of Broken Arrow, Okla.; three sisters, Dorothy Mayberry of Whitefield, Helen Honeycutt and Mona White, both of Stigler; four brothers, J.C. Patton of Van Buren, Charles Patton of Spiro, Raymond Patton of Stigler and Virgil Patton of Eureka, Calif.; 20 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Frank Wiles, Gerald and Murl McGuire, Charles Hare, Sammy Seyler and Lawrence Burris.
