POCOLA — Wanda Fay Pipkins, 53, of Pocola died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, in Poteau. She was born Nov. 19, 1949, in Pocola.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Christian Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Pocola with burial at Macedonia cemetery in Pocola under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Pocola.
She is survived by three sisters, Patricia Odgen, Gail Pipkins and Jane Damato, all of Pocola; three brothers, Jimmy, Jay and Johnny Pipkins, all of Pocola.
Pallbearers will be Bob and Billy Sykes, Tom and Aaron Pipkins, Steve Evans and Hank Karl.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ben Robertson
CLARSVILLE — Ben David Robertson, 78, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, in Clarksville. He was born Oct. 18, 1925, in Clarksville. He was a 1943 graduate of Clarksville High School, a member of Union Grove Baptist Church, an Army veteran of World War II and served in the 103rd Infantry Division, a cattle farmer and a retired Clarksville High School bus driver.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Union Grove Baptist Church with burial at Union Grove cemetery in Clarksville under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home of Clarksville.
He is survived by a daughter, Becky Robertson of Manteca, Calif.; a son, Steven Robertson of Clarksville; two sisters, Edith Walton of Clarksville and Bernelle Tate of Houston; a brother, Argus Robertson of Tulsa; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Joyce Dexter
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Joyce Ann Dexter, 46, of Springfield, Mo., died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, in Springfield, Mo. She was born June 10, 1957, in Monette, Mo. She was a homemaker.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. today at Mineral Springs cemetery in Mineral Springs under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
She is survived by her mother, Lois Hornor of Fort Smith; her father, Charles Hornor of Sledge, Miss.; a sister, Pam Woodruff of Charleston; and two brothers, Charles and Jeff Hornor, both of Fort Smith.

Daniel Melton
Daniel M. Melton, 34, of Fort Smith, formerly of Stigler, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, in his home.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Stigler City cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
He is survived by his father, Lloyd Melton of Muldrow; three sisters, Sandy Melton of Fort Smith, Rebecca Rose of Alma and Tammy Perkins of Springdale; four brothers, Fred and Lloyd Melton Jr., both of Muldrow, Steve Melton of Fort Smith and Mikael Melton of Des Moines, Iowa; maternal grandparent, Ellie Snow of Stigler.
The body may be viewed 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. today.

Carol Hunter
MOUNTAINBURG — Carol Wayne Hunter, 58, of Mountainburg died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003, in a local hospital. He was born April 2, 1945, in Rudy. He was a retired employee of Rheem Manufacturing, an Army veteran of the Vietname War and a Protestant.
Memorial service will be 5 p.m. today at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Alma. Visitation with family until 7 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta; two daughters, Carol Jarnagan and Tammie Branson, both of Winslow; his mother, Okie Hunter of Van Buren; a sister, Arlene Clark of Van Buren; and four grandchildren.

Arlie King
GREENWOOD — Arlie King, 64, of Greenwood died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, in a local nursing home. She was retired from the Area Agency on Aging, a member of Greenwood First Baptist Church and the widow of Clarence King.
Memorial service will be 9 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Greenwood under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
She is survived by her mother, Ruby Leader of Greenwood; a sister, Mary Soliz of Adel, Iowa; a brother, Tim Buehring of Greenwood.

Josephine Schwartz
HARTFORD — Josephine June Schwartz, 79, of Hartford died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, in Hartford. She was a homemaker.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Hartford with burial at Hartford Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph; a son, Everett Aldridge of Fort Smith; two stepdaughters, Kerry Vaughn of San Antonio and Brenda Wilkerson of Hartford; two stepson, Brandon and Randy Schwartz, both of Hartford; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Everett, Russell and Richard Aldridge, Lloyd Nevels, Brandon Schwartz and Floyd Bryan.
The body may be viewed 1 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Jerry Lambiotte
FRANKFORT, Mich. — Jerry Fine Lambiotte of Frankfort, Mich., died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, in Traverse City, Mich. He was born Feb. 25, 1942, in Fort Smith. He graduated from Northside High School in 1960, attended Tulane University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering in 1964, a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, worked for Uniroyal. In a 17-year career, he was a chemical process engineer, technical sales representative, a research chemist in Baton Rouge, La., Southbury, Conn., participated in buyout of a division of Ciba-Geigy Corp., was vice president of sales until RPI was sold to Dexter Corp., worked for Graceland Fruit in Frankfort, Mich., was a deacon at First Presbyterian Church in Arlington, Texas, a member of Crystal Lake Yacht Club, Congregational Summer Assembly and Crystal Downs Country Club in Crystal Lake, Mich.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. today at First Congregational Church under the direction of McElduff Funeral Homes Inc. of Frankfort, Mich.
He is survived by his wife, Julie; a daughter, Julie; a son, Jay; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Kelly; a stepson, Doug Goodrich; two brothers, Joe and Larry; and two stepgrandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jerry’s name to Lymphoma Research Foundation, 111 Broadway, 19th Floor, New York, NY 10006.

NORMAN, Okla. — Vina M. Elmore, 80, of Norman, Okla., died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003. She was a member of the PLA.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First Pentecostal Church of God in Norman, Okla., with burial at IOOF cemetery in Noble, Okla., under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel of Moore, Okla.
She is survived by her husband, Doy; two daughters, Carolyn Cooper of Norman, Okla., and Denise Brown of Omaha, Neb.; four sons, Eddie Elmore of Seiling, Okla., Charles Elmore of Spiro, William Elmore of Lexington and Kennith Elmore of Woodward, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Marie Bray
HITCHCOCK, Texas — Marie Elmore Bray, 86, of Hitchcock, Texas, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003, in Texas City, Texas. She was born Jan. 6, 1917, in Greenwood. She was a retired teacher with La Marque Independent School District.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday at James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marquie, Texas. Visitation will be 1 p.m. Saturday at funeral home before service.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Smith Funeral Home in Lewisville, Ark. with burial at Wilson cemetery in Lewisville.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne.

Lois Clopton
WALDRON — Lois Clopton, 71, of Waldron died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was a homemaker, a Pentecostal and the widow of Nolan Clopton.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Huntington cemetery in Huntington under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron.
She is survived by a son, John Clopton of Waldron; a sister, Lavelle Moore of Ozark.

Betty Dewitt
BARLING — Betty Joe Dewitt, 74, of Barling died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born May 25, 1929, in Three Sands, Okla. She was a retired clerk for Med-Ex in Tulsa and attended First Southern Baptist Church in Central City.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Smith Mortuary Chapel in Charleston with burial at Garden of Memories in Charleston.
She is survived by her husband, E.B.; two stepdaughters, Pamela of Fort Smith and Anita of Hackett; a stepson, Dale Dewitt of Atlanta; a sister, Florence Smith of Tulsa; two brothers, Gene Holcomb of Rosalia, Kan., and Buster Holcomb of Tulsa; two stepgrandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dwight Mantooth, Darrell Keith, Phillip Sanders, Sunny Groves, Michael Murray and Delbert Ervin.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Sharon Douthit
MULDROW — Sharon R. Russette Douthit, 76, of Muldrow died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was a self-employed seamstress.
Service will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Baker of Fort Smith; five sons, Joe, Vincent, Michael, Dale, Tommy Scamardo, all of Fort Smith; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Phyllis Liebeknecht
Phyllis Liebeknecht, 79, of Van Buren died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003, in a local nursing home. She was a lifetime member of the PTA, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, past president of AARP and a house mother for Ranch Hope in Alloway, N.J. She was the widow of retired Capt. William Liebeknecht.
No service is scheduled. The body will be cremated under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by five daughters, Debbie Johnson of Van Buren, JoAnn Booker of Tulsa, Linda Allen of Independence, Mo., Barbara Pisano of Augusta, Ga., and Karen Baggett of Mobile, Ala.; two sons, Thomas Liebeknecht of Millersville, Mo., and Lt. Col. Andrew Liebeknecht of Jacksonville; a sister, Judith Fringuello of Emerson, N.J.; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ranch Hope Inc., P.O. Box 325, Alloway, N.J. 08001.

Freda Stubblefield
CHARLESTON — Freda Stubblefield, 89, of Charleston died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, in her home. She was born June 14, 1914, in Charleston. She was a member of Mountain View Freewill Baptist Church and the widow of Archie W. Stubblefield.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain View Freewill Baptist Church with burial at Mount Hope cemetery north of Charleston under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.
She is survived by a son, Ronald Stubblefield of Lavaca; a sister, Zeta Brown of Charleston; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Oscar Burton, Harold Thompson, Leo and Jimmy Robertson, Mike and Steve Hamilton and Jim Shaver.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

James Lawrence
FLORISSANT, Mo. — James H. Lawrence, 59, of Florissant died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, in St. Louis. He was born Dec. 13, 1943, in Charleston. He was a retired school teacher for Ferguson-Florissant School District for 27 years and a Peace Corps volunteer in India from 1968 to 1970.
Funeral will be 5 p.m. today at Marietta Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Charleston. The body will be cremated under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.
He is survived by his wife, Earlene White Lawrence; a daughter, Sarah Marchetti of Florissant; a sister, Joy Hayes of Charleston; and a brother, Paul Lawrence of Ratcliff.
The family will visit with friends after the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ferguson Florissant Scholarship Fund, 1005 Waterford Drive, Florissant, MO 63033.
