Anna Mae French

PIGGOTT -- Anna Mae French, 80, of Piggott died Saturday, March 19, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Schulte of Piggott; a son, Hal French of Piggott; four grandchildren, Joe Don Schulte, Brian Schulte, Misti Sanders and Staci Bohr; two great-grandchildren, Taylor Bohr and Coleman Schulte; three sisters, Dolly Poole and Agnes Moore, both of Piggott, and Alene Wood of Atlanta; and one brother, Earl Fisher of Piggott.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Leroy French; a daughter, Carol Ann French; and her parents, George Franklin and Minnie Frances Carlson Fisher.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home Chapel at Piggott with Charles Carrens and Kevin Murray officiating. Burial will follow in Piggott Cemetery.

Visitation will be at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Joe Don Schulte, Brian Schulte, Brent Sanders, Eric Bohr, Aldion Turner and Roger McKenney.

Blanche Gilkison

JONESBORO -- Blanche Gilkison, 85, of Jonesboro died Saturday, March 19, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital of Paragould.

Born in Clay County, she lived in New York before moving to Jonesboro three years ago. She was a retired beautician and of the Church of Christ belief.

Survivors include two brothers, Joe Gilkison of San Jose, Calif., and Jerry Gilkison of Rector; and two sisters, Esther Kitterman of Jonesboro and Jean Pratt of Rector.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Sherman and Julia Gilkison; two brothers; and a sister.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Mitchell Cemetery at Greenway, with Kevin Murray officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

No visitation is scheduled.

Ira Spencer Graham

WALNUT RIDGE -- Ira Spencer Graham, 96, of Walnut Ridge died Friday, March 18 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Born at Letona, he was a farmer, heavy equipment operator for the Highway Construction Co., a construction worker and a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.

Survivors include his wife, Fannie Graham; a son, John Graham of Little Rock; two half-sisters, Wanda Parker of Searcy and Tressie Graham of Florida; four grandchildren, Spencer Graham of Monticello, Cynthia Butler of Bald Knob and Jeff Graham and David Graham, both of St. Louis; nine great-grandchildren, Natalia, Sterling, Illannya, Jolisha, Scott, Stewart, Crystal, Brandon and Collin; and two great-great-grandchildren, Jazmyne and Caleb.

He was preceded in death by two sons, James E. Graham and Gerald Graham, and a granddaughter, Shelly Ann Graham Berg.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Bryan Funeral Home Chapel in Hoxie with Derek Collins, Charles Helms and Randy Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 7-8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be Spencer Graham, Jeff Graham, David Graham, David Butler, Joseph Trussel and Sterling Graham.

Honorary pallbearers will be Paul King, Charles Helms, Luke Allen, Buck Pickrell, Red Adamson, Sonny Bilbrey, Dewey Scott, Andy Latham and John Durham.

Viola C. Grantham

HARRISBURG -- Funeral services for Viola C. Grantham, 80, of Harrisburg, who died Thursday, March 17, will be at 2 p.m. today at Gregg Funeral Home.

The Rev. Captain Lovell will officiate. Burial will be in Harrisburg Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Danny Grantham, C.H. Tarkington, David Tarkington, Pat Turnage, Jimmy Chatman and Randy Mills.

Honorary pallbearers will include Mark Grantham, Travis Grantham, Chris Stafford, Cara Cox, Lori Smith, Leslie VanRavensway, Amy Sloas, Dale Arnold Jr. and Lee Blake.

A native and lifelong resident of Harrisburg, she was a homemaker and member of Lebanon Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Edward "Skip" Grantham of Fisher; three daughters, Patricia Arnold of Imboden, Jane Blake of Caraway and Barbara Stafford of Longview, Texas; two brothers, Charles Chatman of Trumann and Jessie Chatman of Harrisburg; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pelton Grantham; her parents, Charles and Mary Dodson Chatman; five sisters; and two brothers.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Rev. Sherman Lynn Ivy

ADA, Okla. -- The Rev. Sherman Lynn Ivy, 59, of Ada died Friday, March 18, at Ada.

Born at Grubbs, he graduated from high school there before attending seminary at Creighton University at Memphis. He moved to Ada from Arkadelphia in 1990.

He had been a minister in Arkansas and Michigan before becoming a minister for College Heights Baptist Church in Ada from 1990-2002, retiring with 24 years of service.

He was a member of Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church at Pickett, Okla., and a board member of New Horizons and the Pregnancy Crisis Center. He was a volunteer at McCall's Chapel and a former chaplain at Valley View Regional Hospital. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Ivy of the home; a daughter, Brandy Hensley of Ada; a son, Lynn Ivy of Ada; five brothers, Lee Dean Ivy of Cheyenne, Wyo., Jackie Ivy of Grubbs, Johnny Ivy of Germantown, Tenn., Randy Ivy of Jonesboro and Jerry Ivy of Fayetteville; three sisters, Cordie Sue Combs of Paxton, Ill., Kathy Tubbs of Grubbs and Myrla Ivy of Ada; and four grandchildren, Dowell Barnes, Dayton Hensley, Sherman Lynn "Trey" Ivy III and Krislynn Ivy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Verneal Ivy of Grubbs; a sister; and a grandson.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home of Ada, with the Revs. Tim Forrest, John Bauch and Kevin Meredith officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery, with the Fort Sill Honor Guard conducting full military honors.

Pallbearers will be Bob King, Gene Standridge, Jerry Ivy, Lynn Ivy, Brad Linton and Nick Bessire.

Johnny Wayne Johnson

PARAGOULD -- Johnny Wayne Johnson, 54, of Paragould died Friday, March 18 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center.

He was a self-employed mechanic.

Survivors include his wife, Earline Johnson; a daughter, Cindy Friar of Paragould; his mother and stepfather, Erma and Don Hooker; his step-mother, Mary Johnson; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn Friar and Cheyenne Friar; five brothers, Charlie Johnson, Roger Johnson, George Johnson, Larry Johnson and David Hooker; and four sisters, Shelia McClish, Nancy Damron, Kay Jaques and Cheryle Conn.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Johnson Jr.; his grandmothers, Eula Richardson and Nanny May Hogland; and a brother.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Pine Log Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Songer officiating.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at Heath Funeral Home in Paragould.

Clifford Keith

JONESBORO -- Clifford Keith, 63, of Jonesboro died Friday, March 19, at his residence.

Born in Egypt, he had also lived in Bono and was a construction carpenter with Tate Construction. He was of the Church of Christ belief.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Gregory of Jonesboro; two brothers, Clyn Keith of Jonesboro and Bill Keith of Egypt; five sisters, Mary Lee Schug of Dixie and Laverne Deatherage, Alma Lee Vinson, Mardale Munn and Vada Mize, all of Jonesboro; and two grandchildren, John Ryan Jones and Holli Jones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charley and Vicie Keith.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Emerson Memorial Chapel with George Hulett officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will include Judd Schug, Mike Minton, Donald Ray Jones, Cary Nichols, Charles Deatherage and Alan Keith.

Honorary pallbearers will include Johnny Duffel, Loy Cloinger, Tim Cloinger, Charlie Mayes, Victor Hutcheson and co-workers at Tate Construction.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital, 800 Marshall St., Little Rock 72202-3591.

James E. Seay

KINGMAN, Ariz. -- James E. Seay of Kingman, formerly of Jonesboro, died Friday, March 18.

He worked in the Jonesboro area many years ago as a crop duster.

Survivors include a sister, Jo Ann Allen of Little Rock; a brother, Don Seay of Jonesboro; and several children and grandchildren.

All services will be private under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be announced later.
