Irene Reames
PARIS — Irene Reames, 78, of Paris died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, in Paris. She was a homemaker, was a member of First Baptist Church in Paris and the widow of Ernest Reames.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Paris with burial at Corley cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
She is survived by four sons, James Reames of Las Vegas, Charlie and Paul Reames, both of Paris, and Ernest Reames of Fort Smith; her mother, Virgie Hardgrave of Paris; two sisters, Charlene and Othella Johnson, both of Paris; a brother, Carlton Hardgrave of Paris; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tracy, Josh, Mark, Adam, Colton and Tyler Reames.
Honorary pallbearers will be Willing Workers Sunday school class.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Opal Hicks
HOWE — Opal Hicks, 83, of Howe died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, in Howe. She was born Dec. 22, 1919, in Ione. She was a homemaker and attended Forrester Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at First Assembly of God in Poteau with burial at Monroe cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She is survived by her husband, Carl; three daughters, Sue Stallings of Heavener, Jimmy Thornburg of Burson, Calif., and Delois Rogers of Poteau; a son, Carl Hicks of Howe; a sister, Jewell Garrett of Arkadelphia; two brothers, Wilford Evans of Monroe and Charles Evans of Hodgen; 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Billy Boggs
SALLISAW — Billy Charles Boggs, 76, of Sallisaw died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, in Talihina. He was born Aug. 27, 1927, in Sequoyah County. He was a former taxi driver and laborer and was an Army veteran of World War II and a Baptist.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Buffington cemetery in Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
The body may be viewed 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Cecil Dow
JENKS, Okla. — Cecil F. Dow, 81, of Jenks, Okla., formerly of Johnson County, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003. He was a retired aircraft loader and a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was the widower of Elizabeth Dow.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Danville Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with burial at Knoxville cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home of Clarksville.
He is survived by two daughters, Ivanne Hanford of Tulsa and Barbara Moore of Ola.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Auston and Aaron Ring, Scott Hanford and Jared Moore.
The family will visit with friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Living Center, 711 N. Fifth St., Jenks, OK 74037.

Russell Houston
MOUND CITY, Kan. — Russell Ralph Houston, 44, of Mound City, Kan., died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, in his home. He was a laborer and of the Baptist faith.
Funeral will be 7 p.m. today at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville. Burial will be private.
He is survived by his mother, Dixie Chapman of Mound City, Kan.; two sisters, Lana Bretch of Belton, Mo. and Barbara Thomas of Garden City, Mo.

Loretta Hanshaw
BOONEVILLE — Loretta Hanshaw, 71, of Booneville died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003. She was a homemaker, a former employee of Wolverine Toy Co. and Lady Fair Mills and a lifelong member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Booneville. She was the widow of Ray Hanshaw.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Booneville with burial at Oak Hill cemetery under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Booneville.
She is survived by a daughter, Diana Hudson of Booneville; two sons, David Hanshaw of Green Forest and Danny Hanshaw of Booneville; a sister, Peggy Killion of Booneville; two brothers, Herman Adair of Booneville and Quentin Adair of Gilroy, Calif.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Rick Henry, Rick Hudson, Dennis Adair, Aaron Thorne, Jim Rodatz and Paul Wisley.
The body may be viewed today at the funeral home.

Willie Kash
PORUM, Okla. — Willie Kash, 91, of Porum, Okla., died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, in Muskogee, Okla. She was the widow of Curtis Kash.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday at Assembly of God in Porum under the direction of Coleman cemetery in Porum under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Stigler.
She is survived by two daughters, Cora Triplett of California and Wilma Blubaugh of Porum, Okla.; a son Carmon Kash of Porum, Okla.; a brother, Jack Stout of Porum, Okla.; 11 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 29 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Terry, Mike and Curtis Kash, Butch Ward, Mike Brillo and Charles Kilgore.

Mr. Brad Wheeler
Mr. Brad Wheeler, age 40, of Van Buren died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, in an area hospital. He was a driver for Central Redi-Mix in Springdale and was a Navy veteran.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. today at Windsor Park Fellowship Church with burial at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife Theresa of the home; three daughters, Lakin France, Londin Wheeler and Logan Wheeler, all of the home. He is also survived by his mother, Latrelle Wheeler of Alma; his father and stepmother, Darrel and Kay Wheeler of Mulberry; and four brothers, Todd Wheeler of Van Buren, Marc Wheeler of Harrison, and Brent and Jason Wheeler, both of Alma; a stepsister, Brandi Romine of Alma; a stepbrother, Shane House of Mulberry.
Pallbearers will be Joe Presley, Mac Patrick, John Mark Wheeler, Jason Crossno, Brad Gramlich and Jeff Sowell.

Mary Lorita Hanshaw
Mary Lorita Hanshaw, 71, of Booneville died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, in Booneville. She was a homemaker, a former employee of Wolverine Toy Co. and Lady Fair Mills and a lifelong member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Booneville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Hanshaw; a granddaughter, Leah Hanshaw; her parents, Orville and Irene Adair; a brother, Glyn Adair; a sister, Naomi Gail Adair.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. today at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Booneville with burial at Oak Hill cemetery under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Booneville.

Ivan C. Sutter
Ivan C. Sutter, 94, of Fort Smith, entered into rest Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003, in his home. He was born March 31, 1909, in Bluffton, Ohio the son of the late Joseph and Martha Sutter. Mr. Sutter was a retired construction painter and of the Protestant faith. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Lucille of the home; a daughter, Rogene Maciejack of The Colony, Texas; a son, Jerry Sutter of Bakersfield, Calif.; four grandchildren, Stacy Sutter, Jenny Gatlin, Christina Fulkerson and Michael Maciejack; five great-grandchildren, Tristan Maciejack, Conner Fulkerson, Taylor and Zachary Bell and Hannah Gatlin. Private graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren. Viewing will be from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. today only. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.

LaDonna Sue Mirra
LaDonna Sue Mirra, 64, of Pensacola, Fla., died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, in Pensacola. She was born Sept. 8, 1939, to Clem West and Katherine Louise Bolling Willis.
Graveside service will be noon Thursday at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Vincent F. Mirra of Pensacola, Fla.; two sons, Frederick Willis Mirra and Arturo Mirra II; and two grandchildren, Arturo Mirra III and Caramia Mirra.
The family will visit with friends from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Edwards Funeral Home.

Vera Lela Baggett Smith
Vera Lela Baggett Smith, 83, of Dripping Springs died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, in a local hospital. She was a member of the Rena Road Church of Christ. She was past president of the Cedarville PTA and was a volunteer for the Cedarville Senior Citizens Lodge, having received the Governor’s Volunteer Excellence Award in 1988. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Baggett Sr., and Shelton Smith; and also a son, Roy Baggett Jr.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by four daughters, Frances Justice, Gailia McMaster and Laverne Atwell, all of Van Buren, and Lela Mae Brunk of Muldrow; three sons, Lee Jefferson Baggett and David Loyd Baggett, both of Van Buren, and Billy Donald Baggett of Chester; five sisters, Maurice Holliman of Holiday, Texas, Pauline Duncan of Wichita Falls, Texas, Evelyn Kendrick of San Antonio, Wanda Muse of Byars, Texas, and Mary Burch of Wichita Falls, Texas; 10 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, 700 Jefferson in Van Buren.

Margaret Thomas
Margaret Thomas, 79, of Fort Smith died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, in her home. She was born July 27, 1924, in Price, Utah. She was a bakery owner.
Burial of cremains will be at Rose Hill cemetery in California under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
She is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Hendrix of Fort Smith and husband, Richard; two sons, Craig Thomas of Los Alamitos, Calif., and Travis Thomas of Las Vegas and wife, Carol; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be made to Peachtree Hospice, 4300 Rogers Ave., Fort Smith, AR 72901.

Nola Irene Fouts Geiger
Nola Irene Fouts Geiger, 94, of Booneville died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, in Booneville. She was a retired nurse and office worker, was a member of Assembly of God in Grayson Community near Booneville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Geiger; two daughters, Patricia Geiger and Abby Jean Kolb; two brothers, the Rev. James Fouts, Raymond Fouts; two sisters, Lee Fields and Callie Derrington; and one granddaughter, Mary Katherine Kolb.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003 at Roberts Memorial Chapel in Booneville with burial at Carolan cemetery near Booneville.
She is survived by four grandchildren, Deborah Ann Kolb of Fort Worth, Texas, Patricia Gene Kolb of Virginia Beach, Va., Teresa Irene Kolb of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Frank Alan Kolb of Marshall, Texas; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; a special sister-in-law, Helen Fouts of Booneville; a special niece and caregiver for many years, Emma Lou Means of Booneville.
Pallbearers will be Alan Kolb, Austin Kolb Logan, Gerald and James Fouts Jr., Bud Means and Clell Elmore.

Nellie Shankle
Nellie G. Shankle, 89, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, in Fort Smith. She was a retired accountant.

She is survived by her husband, Harlan; two brothers, Clark Gillum of Austin, Texas, and Luther Gillum of Bowling Green, Mo.

Ergie Lockhart
ENGLAND — Ergie Ray Lockhart, 68, of England, formerly of Sallisaw, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, in Little Rock. He was born March 7, 1935, in Dwight Mission. He was a retired soil technician for oil companies for 47 years, also worked for Oklahoma Highway Department, was a Protestant, a graduate of Sallisaw High School, and the widower of Polly Lockhart.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Akins cemetery northeast of Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
He is survived by two daughters, Vickey Hite of Wheatland, Wyo., and Tamatha Lockhart of England; a son, Ronald Lockhart of Gravette; four sisters, Edna Brewer of Gans, Peggy Andrews of Florence, Miss., Judy Rodgers and Rexine Hill, both of Sallisaw; a brother, Roger Lockhart of Perry, Okla.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The body may be viewed 9 a.m. to noon today at the funeral home.
