KEOTA — Ethel “Granny” Christie, 93, of Keota died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003, in McAlester, Okla. She a member of the Only Way Baptist Church and affiliated with Brushy Baptist Church, and the widow of Coleman Christie.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mallory Funeral Home Chapel in Stigler with burial at Simon Issac cemetery in Keota.
She is survived by a daughter, Leona Wesley of McAlester, Okla.; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Edgar Walker
WALDRON — Edgar Walker, 86, of Waldron died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, in his home. He was a retired oil field worker, of the Pentecostal faith and the widower of Florence Walker.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at New Life Center with burial at Pilot Prairie cemetery in Waldron under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron.
He is survived by three daughters, Nada Thacker of Snyder, Texas, Wanda Brown of Waldron and Sue Stewart of Culleman, Ala.; a son, Donald Walker of Gardendale, Texas; seven sisters, Fern Powell, Allie Dickason, Estel Ennis, Lorene Lovett and Betty Johnson, all of Waldron, Dorthy Lovett of Sanger, Calif., and Margie Lasiter of Spokane, Wash.; a brother, Perry Walker of Worland, Wyo.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Dr. Edward D. Tracy Jr.
Dr. Edward D. Tracy Jr., 79, of Van Buren died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, in a local hospital. He was a former resident of Indianola, Iowa. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a retired chiropractor.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Tracy; a daughter, Sheryl Bartholomew of Van Buren; a son, Dennis Alexander of Minnesota; a sister, Phyllis West of Oklahoma; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Richard Ray Clifton
Richard Ray Clifton, 61, of Van Buren died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003, in his home. He was a Navy veteran and a heavy equipment operator.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. today at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with cremation to follow service under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by two sons, Kevin Clifton of Van Buren and Toby Clifton of Charlotte, N.C.; a stepdaughter, Birdie Jenks of Battle Creek, Mich.; a sister, Dorris White of Coral, Mich.; a brother, Roy Clifton of Battle Creek, Mich.; and four grandchildren, Dilon Ray Clifton, Eden Paige Clifton, Carl Jones and Chance Jones.

Bobby Gene Moore
Bobby Gene Moore, 71, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003, in his home. He was a local businessman. Owner and operator of the 5 Star Pest Control Co. He was a member of Midland Heights United Methodist Church, a graduate of Fort Smith High School Class of 1952 and an Army veteran of the Vietname War. He was preceded in death by his parents, James W. and Sarah Jane Moore; a sister, Pauline Wooden; two brothers, Tony Moore and Billy Joe Moore; and a stepson, Randy Burch.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gill cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by a stepdaughter, Rhonda Riddle of Van Buren; a stepson, Richard Burch of Van Buren; a sister, Vera Dart of Greenwood; two brothers, Truman and Buddy Moore, both of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be Eric Anderson, Britton Riddle, Eric Burch, Bill Linn, Bill Myers and J.W. Wooden.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bill J., Michael, Tim Moore and Randy Moore, Jack Dart and Maxie Dart.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, 700 Jefferson Street in Van Buren.

Pearlie Mae Hughes,
Pearlie Mae Hughes, 81, of Paris died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003, in Paris. She was a retired waitress and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lincoln and Edna Thompson Berry; her husband, Willard Hughes; three sons, Charles Hughes, Lamar Hughes and Johnny Hughes; five brothers, Bartley, Bill, Kenneth, Roy Lee and A.R. “Poodle” Berry; and one sister, Ruby Jewell Flock.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at Roller Chapel in Paris with burial at Stoney Point cemetery in Scranton under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Edna Willadean and Terry Wilson of West Jordan, Utah; a son, LaVon Hughes of Paris; two sisters, Demoie Flock of Paris and Lola Marie Ray of Bourbonnais, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David, Leonard, Gary, Kevin, Larry and Jerry Berry.
Honorary pallbearers will be Pete Thompson, Max Thompson, Ivan Cauldwell, Don Parks, Tinker Mikles and John Soller.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Roller Chapel in Paris.

Katherine Sue Hail
Katherine Sue Hail, 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003. She was a homemaker and a member of First Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Hail.
She is survived by two daughters, Sue Barnett and Linda Hail, both of Fort Smith; two granddaughters, Kim Hattaway and Melissa Roush and husband, Allen of Fort Smith; one grandson, Brian Barnett and wife, Stephanie of Fort Smith; and two great-grandsons, Kenneth Paul and Lance; and one great-granddaughter, Destiny, all of Fort Smith.
A service of celebration will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Allen Stuckwisch officiating. Burial will be at Sallisaw City cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be John Paul Jones, George Gordon, Jim Gordon, Dr. Robert Gordon, Brian Barnett and Bill Bateman.
The family will visit with friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Andrea Michelle Frizzell Jarrett
Andrea Michelle Frizzell Jarrett, 25, of Heavener died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003, in Holdenville. She was a member of Heavener First Baptist Church, a 1996 graduate of Heavener High School, a graduate of CASC and a member of Upwardbound at CASC. She was attending nursing school at Seminole State.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, at Heavener First Baptist Church with burial at Memorial Park in Heavener under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Lois Frizzell; and her maternal grandmother, Netty Baty.
She is survived by her husband, Chris; three sons, Michael Aaron, Greyson Lee and Logan Ray; her parents, Mike and Maryland Frizzell of Heavener; two brothers, Dewayne Frizzell and Jeff Frizzell, both of Heavener; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Frizzell of Heavener; and maternal grandfather, Jim Baty of Sallisaw.

Harold Warren Watts
Harold Warren Watts, 64, of Muldrow died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003, in Fort Smith. He was born Nov. 22, 1939, in San Diego. He was a burner at GNB Technologies for 27 years, attended Roland Assembly of God, was a 1959 graduate of Muldrow High School and an Army veteran.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at Roland Assembly of God with burial at Cottonwood cemetery south of Muldrow under the direction Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow.
He is survived by his wife, Sue of the home; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Shannon and Delayna Watts of Muldrow, Rodney Watts of Muldrow, Shane and Brandi Watts of Muldrow and Shawn and Valerie Watts of Springfield, Mo.; four grandchildren, Ashlee, Drew, Payton and Trenton; a sister, Christine Graves and her husband, Michael of Fort Smith; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Judy Phillips of Fort Smith and Kathryn and Charles Proctor of Barling; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Bob Greenwood, Dennis Willis, Dele Hampton, Roger Crow, Fred Lincks, Bruce Tolbert and Mel Obana.
Honorary pallbearers will be co-workers and employees of GNB Technologies.
Viewing will be 1 to 9 p.m. today at Agent Funeral Home in Muldrow, where the family will visit with friends from 5 to 7 p.m.

Ronald West
BONNEAU, S.C. — Ronald James West, 62, of Bonneau, S.C.. died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003, in Charleston, S.C. He was born April 12, 1941, in Fort Smith. He was a 20-year retired Air Force veteran and was of the Catholic faith.
Service and burial will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Tri-County Cremation Center of Summerville, S.C.
He is survived by his wife, Judith; three children; his mother, Jean West of Barling; two sisters, Sheila Holmes and Sharon Wooten; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Janell Smedley
POTEAU — Janell Smedley, 63, of Poteau died Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, in her home. She was born Oct. 28, 1940, in Mena. She was worked as an ophthalmic technician for Dr. David Roberts for 33 years and was a member of the Southside Baptist Church of Poteau. She was the widow of Jack R. Smedley.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Southside Baptist Church in Poteau with burial at Vaughn cemetery in Monroe under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home.
She is survived by a daughter, Vicki Groves of Tulsa; a son, Steve Smedley of Collinsville, Okla.; a sister, Judith Huie of Heavener; a brother, Robert Turner of Sapulpa, Okla.; four grandchildren.
The body may be viewed from 12:30 to 4 p.m. today. A private family viewing will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today.

Donna Bailey
GREENVILLE, Miss. — Donna Bailey, 51, of Greenville died Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, in her home. She was born Nov. 28, 1952, in Crittenden County. She moved to Earle at an early age with her family and graduated from Earle High School. She had been a resident of Greenville for nine years, where she was employed by Delta Regional Medical Center Home Health Care. She attended Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Emmanuel Baptist Church under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Greenville.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne; a daughter, Heather Ebert of Van Buren; a son, Chris Bailey of Colorado Springs, Colo.; her mother, Martha Fuller of Van Buren; three sisters, Sherry Harbison, Peggy Love and Dee Ann Young, all of Van Buren; and five grandchildren.

Mary Gorrell
SUBIACO — Mary E. Gorrell, 72, of Subiaco died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, in Paris. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church in Subiaco. She was the widow of Norbert Gorrell.
Rosary will be 7:30 p.m. today at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Subiaco. Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Benedict Church with burial at St. Benedict cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
She is survived by two sisters, Dolores Etzkorn of Subiaco and June Lyons of Fort Smith; two brothers, Richard Furstenberg of Ridgecrest, Calif., and Frank Furstenberg of Paris.
Pallbearers will be Jim, Kenny and Raymond Kiefer, Donny and Tommy Furstenberg and Paul Etzkorn.

Ina T. Kelley, 93, of Van Buren died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, in Van Buren. She was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist Church. She was the widow of the Rev. Paul Kelley.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris with burial at Elizabeth Hall cemetery in New Blaine under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
She is survived by a daughter, Doris Pullen of Van Buren; three sons, Don and Delton Kelley, both of Fort Smith, and Doyle Kelley of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Hallie and Atha Cravens, both of New Blaine; 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Michael, Alan and Joseph Pullen and Doug, Sam and Dustin Kelley.
Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews.
The family will visit with friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

WALDRON — Harold B. Rice, 70, of Waldron died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, in his home. He was a veteran of the Air Force.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Duncan cemetery in Waldron under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron.
He is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Shaffer of Waldorf, Md., and Carol Blackhurst of Orlando, Fla.; a son, Richard Rice of Bartlesville, Okla.; a brother, Carl Rice of Waldron; and eight grandchildren.
