Jerry Womack
Jerry “George” Womack, 57, of Van Buren died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999, in a local hospital. He was a former truck driver for Willard Mirror and former owner of Brenda’s Cafe in Van Buren. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietname War, a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Alma and a member of the Alma Masonic Lodge.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Ocker Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren. Burial will be at National cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Womack; four daughters, Cathy Scott of Alma, Gloria Gosa of Van Buren, Laura Yandell of Fort Smith and Misty Gail Womack of the home; a son, Jerry Del Womack of Alma; a sister, Anita Gail Edwards of Van Buren; two brothers, Ronnie Womack of Alma and Mike Womack of Ozark; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dale Edwards, Charles McGlothlin, Clay Neidecker, Bill and Dick Ray Douglas and George Renfro.
The family will visit with friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

R.L. Brown
R.L. “Dub” Brown, 79, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999, in a local hospital. He was a retired diesel mechanic and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Fort Smith.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith. Burial will be at Coal Hill cemetery in Coal Hill.
He is survived by a daughter, Brenda Hayes of Pocahontas; a son, Ron Brown of Germantown, Tenn.; two sisters, Rita Allison of Westbury, Texas, and Reba Gilbert of Mesa, Ariz.; two brothers, Bob Brown and Ray Brown, both of Fort Smith; four grandchildren, Andrea and Richard Brown of Germantown, Tenn., Lance Hayes of Bentonville and Leigh Camp of Maumelle; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 6:30-7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Milo Johnson
STIGLER — Milo Johnson, 83, of Stigler died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999, in Stigler. He was a farmer and a member of the Oklahoma Fruit Growers Association, Oklahoma Trappers Association and the National Rifle Association.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Antioch cemetery in Stigler under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Stigler.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia; two daughters, LaDonna Hatfield and Jo Ella Davis, both of Stigler; a son, Eddie Haney of Stigler; three sisters, Pauline Apple and Violett McSpadden, both of Stigler, and LaWanda O’brien of Talihina; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Harold Coffman Sr.
HARTFORD — Harold Stanley Coffman Sr., 73, of Hartford died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999, in a local hospital. He was a retired carpenter with Carpenters Union Local No. 710 in Fort Smith and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a Mason and past master of Belt Lodge No. 18 in Kerby, Ore., and a member of Hartford chapter of O.E.S.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Layne Coffman; a daughter, Patricia Coffman of Houma, La.; five sons, Robert Joe Layne of Houma, La, Harold Stanley Coffman Jr. and Richard Charles Coffman, both of Lakewood, Calif., Daniel Lee Coffman of Grants Pass, Ore., and Ronald Eugene Coffman of Cleveland, Tenn.; a sister, Louise Ramsey of California; four brothers, William Coffman and Wallace Coffman, both of West Virginia, Eugene Coffman of Massachusetts and Ralph Coffman of Texas; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Bertha Robison
PINE BLUFF — Bertha Jane Whitfield Hamilton Robison, 92, of Pine Bluff, formerly of Fort Smith, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was the widow of Garvin Franklin Hamilton and Loy Robison and was a member of Slaty Crossing Baptist Church in Yell County. She attended Oak Park Free Will Baptist Church in Pine Bluff.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at Hamilton cemetery in Perry County under the direction of Charles E. Fuller Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.
She is survived by a daughter, Brenda Earwood of Pine Bluff; a stepdaughter, Doris Waggoner of Casa; a stepson, Donald Robison of Casa; three sisters, Vida Robinson of Russellville, Virginia Taylor and Lois Robinson, both of Dardanelle; a brother, Truman Whitfield of McKinleyville, Calif.; two grandsons; two great-grandsons; and several step-grandchildren.

William Faulkner
LONDON — William M. Faulkner, 79, of London, formerly of Crows Landing, Calif., died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999, in London. He was a farmer and the widower of Marzee Faulkner.
A private graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Oakland cemetery in Clarksville under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home of Clarksville.
He is survived by a daughter, Katheryn Strickland of Geneva, Ala.; four sisters, Pauline Forrester of London, Lela Parker of Patterson, Calif., Margaret Daniel of Spiro and Evelyn Barnard of Escondido, Calif.; four brothers, Clifford Faulkner of London, Carl Faulkner of Dover, Earl Faulkner of Atwater, Calif., and Lawson Faulkner of Riverside, Calif.; two grandchildren, James Taylor and Janice Taylor McKee, both of Alabama; and three great-grandchildren.

Odie Williams
Odie L. Williams, 92, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999. She was a Baptist.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. today at the Oak cemetery Pavilion in Fort Smith under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith.
She is survived by a son, Robert Bray Jr. of Fort Smith; 12 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.

Verna Jamison
NASHVILLE — Verna Mae Manasco Jamison, 80, of Nashville died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2001, in Nashville. She was born May 12, 1921, in Umpire, Ark. She was a homemaker and a member of County Line Baptist Church in Nashville. She was the widow of H.L. Jamison.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday in County Line Baptist Church in Nashville with graveside service at 3 p.m. at Pleasant Grove cemetery in Cove under the direction of Beasely-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary Arensdorf of Oklahoma City, Linda Hickman of Texarkana, Texas, and Judy Turner of Hooks, Texas; a son, Wayne Logan of Nashville; five sisters, Betty Jo Snowden of Clinton, Ina Vay Ralls and Laveda Tubbs, both of Borger, Texas, Novella Manasco of Cove and Rosella Brown of Booneville; three brothers, Maurice “Sonny” Manasco of Cove, Brice Manasco of Odessa, Texas, and T.G. Manasco of Annandale, Va.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Nashville Funeral Home in Nashville.

Raymon Dickey
STIGLER — Raymon “L.R.” Dickey, 92, of Stigler died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2001, in Stigler. He was a member of Sandridge Pentecostal Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday in Sandridge Pentecostal Church with burial at Brooken cemetery in Brooken under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Stigler.
He is survived by a sister, Merle Snyder of Morgan Hill, Calif.; a brother, Truman Dickey of Dewar, Okla.; and several nieces and nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Donald Bigger, J.W. Pilgrim, Don Parker, Jim Thompson, Coy Few and Eddie Benham.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.

Dorothy Hurley
Dorothy Dunklin Hurley, 81, of Fort Smith died Monday, Aug. 20, 2001, in Fort Smith. She was born May 15, 1920, in Spiro. She was a homemaker and a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and was an active volunteer in the community. She was the widow of Edward T. Hurley.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in St. John’s Episcopal Church in Fort Smith under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
She is survived by two daughters, Jane Ann “Jan” Phillips of Fort Smith and Dorothy Dunklin “Dee” Phillips of New Orleans; and seven grandchildren, S. Bowron and Anna L. Phillips, both of Fort Smith, Ashley Lynn, Elizabeth Lea and Nathaniel P. Phillips III, all of New Orleans, Anne Dunklin Phillips of Denver and Robert Kirk Phillips of Atlanta.
The family will visit with friends in the church parish hall following the memorial service.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church or to the charity of donor’s choice.

Marie Blevins
Marie V. Blevins, 90, of Van Buren died Monday, Aug. 20, 2001, in Van Buren. She was a homemaker, a member of Midland Heights United Methodist Church, where she had once served as church secretary, and she was a faithful member of the choir. She was the widow of John T. Blevins.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Forest Park cemetery in Fort Smith.
She is survived by a daughter, Carol Marie Soehlman of Van Buren; a son, John David Blevins of Van Buren; a brother, Joe W. Sidler of Van Buren; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Doyle Wright, Jack Ed, John, Eddie, Chuck and Jason Sidler.
Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Heights United Methodist Church, 3500 N. Sixth St., Fort Smith, AR 72904.

Gerald Prince
Gerald “Dude” Prince, 60, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001, in Fort Smith. He worked for the Southwest Times Record and was a former sports announcer for the city of Fort Smith. He attended the First Baptist Church in Fort Smith.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. today at Oak cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by a sister, Nina Russell of Fort Worth, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Nellie Blaylock
SHADY POINT — Nellie Ruth Blaylock, 75, of Shady Point died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2001, in Poteau. She was born Feb. 22, 1926, in Tulsa. She was a homemaker and the widow of William Henry Blaylock Sr.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday in Evans & Miller Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Poteau with burial at Fairhill cemetery in Cameron.
She is survived by four daughters, Latricia Bowden, Elfreda Penton and Patricia Blaylock, all of Shady Point, and Iona Rose of Panama; three sons, Johnny Blaylock of Broken Arrow, Okla., William Blaylock of Cameron and Bruce Blaylock of Poteau; four sisters, Mary Walker of Tulsa, Betty Thomas of Skiatook, Okla., Retha Brown of Muskogee, Okla., and Bonnie McGuire of Arkoma; a brother, Carl Mendenhall of Tulsa; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Beulah Weindel
CENTRAL CITY — Beulah Faye Weindel, 74, of Central City died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2001, in a local hospital. She was a homemaker and attended Central Free Will Baptist Church in Central City.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday in Central Free Will Baptist Church under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Lavaca.
She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Wilson of Central City; two sisters, Fru Ella Sykes of Central City and Emma Jean Breeden of Bond Special community; a brother, J.W. Smith of Central City; and one grandchild, Rusty Wilson of Central City.
Pallbearers will be Doug Smith, Gary and Monte Breeden, Eddie and Everett Butler, Mitchell and Arnold Sykes.
The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Donald Mansell
SPRINGDALE — Donald “Don” Leo Mansell, 63, of Springdale died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, in his home. He was born Jan. 22, 1938, in Fort Smith.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Fayetteville National cemetery with full military honors by the Northwest Arkansas Honor Guard under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Springdale.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; two daughters, Theresa Kappler of Anderson, S.C., and Traci Strozky of Newburgh, Ind.; a son, Ray Mansell of Fayetteville; a brother, Robert “Bob” Mansell of Fort Smith; nine grandchildren, Matthew, Mitchell, Bailey, Lauren and Shelby, all of Anderson, S.C., Benjamin, Blake and Brent, all of Newburgh, Ind., and Avery of Fayetteville.

Geraldine Floyd
Geraldine “Jerry” Floyd, 85, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, in Fort Smith. She was a retired office coordinator for Willard Mirror Co., a member of First United Methodist Church, the Uplifters Sunday school class where she served as corresponding secretary. She was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alta Sorority for 15 years, serving as International Treasurer and State Treasurer. She also served as president and treasurer of Alpha Alpha Chapter, a member of the Pilot Club and the American Business Women’s Association. She was the widow of Aaron W. “Fat” Floyd.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.

Robert Shaff
Robert Eugene Shaff, 65, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, in his home. He was an electrical engineer and attended Dora Pentecostal Church.
Graveside service will be 8 p.m. Friday at Mount View cemetery in Hackett under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; two daughters, Sabrina Alta Shaff of San Francisco and Beverly Catherine Sims of Yreka, Calif.; a son, Robert Loyd Shaff of Brookins, Ore.; two stepsons, Stephen Garrett of Sandy, Utah, and Jack Garrett of Fort Smith; his mother, Alta Ruth Johnstone of Greenwood; a brother, James Shaff of Lajara, Colo.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
