Vickie Lynn Barnes

HOXIE -- Vickie Lynn Barnes, 34, of Hoxie died Monday, May 30, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

A homemaker, she was born at Bartow, Fla., and was the daughter of James Odom and Joanner Simmons Noble. She was a member of Alicia First United Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Tina Collins and Samantha Collins, both of Trumann; two sons, Jerry Lee Collins of Trumann and Christopher Wilson of New York; a grandchild; her mother and stepfather, Joanner and Jackie Lynn Noble of Hoxie; her father and stepmother, James and Laura Odom of Trumann; a sister, Melinda Cullins of Harrisburg; two brothers, Bobby Simmons of Springfield, Mo., and Timothy James Odom of Harrisburg; a stepsister, Laura Elizabeth Noble of McComb, Ill.; her maternal grandmother, Pauline Simmons of Hoxie; and her paternal grandmother, Claudine Odom of Bay.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bryan Funeral Home at Hoxie with Bro. Ted Simmons and . Samuel Spurlock officiating.

Active pallbearers will be Rickey Simmons, Jimmy Simmons, Randy Moore, Keith Simmons, Harold Allen and Eddie Adamson. Bryan Odom will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Interment will be in Strangers Home Cemetery under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home of Hoxie.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.

Helen M. Bicket

PRESCOTT, Ariz. -- Helen M. Bicket, 81, of Prescott, Ariz., formerly of Paragould, died Saturday, May 28, at her residence.

Private family services will be held, and burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of Chino Valley Funeral Home of Prescott.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Family Care, 100 East Sheldon St., Prescott, Ariz., 86301.

Willie Lambert Cleveland

BLYTHEVILLE -- Willie Alevee Lambert Cleveland, 72, of Blytheville died Friday, May 27, at South Mississippi County Hospital at Osceola.

Born in Tennessee, she was a homemaker and of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include two daughters, Paulette Knapp of Lawrence, Mich., and Rita Polson of Blytheville; a son, Donald Henson of Georgia; two sisters, Martil Nance of Humboldt, Tenn., and Betty Hilliard of Trenton, Tenn.; two brothers, Dean Hensley of Dresden, Tenn., and Gary Hensley of Brazil, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Cleveland; a daughter, Barbara Haynes; and her parents, Lynn and Easel Arnold Hensley.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Hartsfield Cemetery at Brazil, with Gary Andrews officiating. Wilson Funeral Home of Blytheville is in charge of arrangements.

Doyle Coleman

JONESBORO -- Funeral services for Doyle Coleman, 73, of Jonesboro, who died Saturday, May 28, at Baxter Regional Medical Center of Mountain Home, will be at 10 a.m. today at Cornerstone United Meth-odist Church of Jonesboro.

The Rev. Tommy Toombs and the Rev. Wade Shownes will officiate. Burial will be in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Langford-Bookout Funeral Home.

Born at Jonesboro, he was the manager of American Electric for 25 years, a former partner in C&I Electric and had worked for DSA Materials after retirement. He was a member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church of Jonesboro and an original member of the Ground Pounders Radio Control Flying Club.

Active pallbearers will be Mike Fletcher, Randy Conner, Terry Jordan, Bill West, Greg Taylor and Mickey Bridger.

Honorary pallbearers will include Joe Hilliard, Bill Duke, Marvin Treadway and Ted "Bear" Strommer.

Memorials may be made to Cornerstone United Methodist Church.

Bill Denton

CARDWELL, Mo. -- Bill Denton, 70, of Cardwell, Mo., died Sunday, May 29, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Community Church in Cardwell. Burial will be in Cardwell Cemetery under the direction of McDaniel Funeral Home of Arbyrd, Mo.

Jeanne Waford Dillport

JONESBORO -- Jeanne Waford Dillport, 82, of Jonesboro, formerly of Tuckerman, died Friday, May 27, at St. Bernard's Medical Center.

Born in North Carolina, she was a teacher.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Mary Coakley Hyneman and John Coakley, both of Jonesboro, and Jane Coakley Tuenei of Noblesville, Ind.; three great-grandchildren and a son-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Don Dillport, and a daughter, Sandra Welbourne.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Randolph Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Pocahontas, with Brien Hall officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Gardens at Pocahontas under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home of Pocahontas.

Alfred Sloan Helms

NEWPORT -- Alfred Sloan Helms, 79, of Newport died Monday, May 30, at Newport.

Born at Smithville, he was a graduate of Imboden High School and retired from Riceland. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Newport.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Glenn Helms of Newport; a son, Ronnie Helms of Stuttgart; and three grandchildren, Taylor Helms, Brett Helms and Trey Helms.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Viola Spotts Helms.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Jackson's Newport Funeral Home, with Dave Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Taylor Helms, Trey Helms, Corky Hunter, Andy Durham, Brett Helms and John Durham.

Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Jones, Scott Elphingstone and Wayne McClure.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mildred Irene Minor Jenkins

HARRISBURG -- Mildred Irene Minor Jenkins, 76, of Harrisburg, died Monday, May 30, at Jonesboro. Born at Cherokee, Ala., she retired from the Singer Corporation in Trumann and attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving are four sons, Joey Jenkins of Clayton, La., Terry Jenkins of Jonesboro, Alvin Jenkins and Steven Jenkins, both of Harrisburg; four daughters, Carolyn Phillips of Pickens, S.C., Barbara Smith and Rita Fortson, both of Harrisburg, and Joannie Reese of Ferriday, La.; four sisters, Hazel Lindsey of Osceola, Ind., Mary Catherine Grubbs of Hanes City, Fla., Betty Elizabeth Beiderstadt of Mobile, Ala., and Virginia Eloise Smith of Harrisburg; 26 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Buster Jenkins, her parents, George Washington and Mary Alice Wallace Minor, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home, with Terry Newman officiating. Burial will be in the Holly Springs Cemetery at Harrisburg.

Pallbearers will be Joey Jenkins, Alvin Jenkins, Terry Jenkins, Steve Jenkins, Carolyn Phillips, Barbara Smith, Rita Fortson and Joannie Reese, sons and daughters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Virginia Mae Ball Pretty

ST. FRANCIS COUNTY -- Virginia Mae Ball Pretty, 70, of St. Francis County died Monday, May 30, in St. Francis County. Arrangements will be announced by Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home of Wynne.

Terry Lynn Primm

TRENTON, Ga. -- Terry Lynn "T.L." Primm, 47, of Trenton, Ga. formerly of Jonesboro, died Sunday, May 29.

He owned Primm Engineering and Environmental Services and was a member of the U.S. Ultralight Association, Chatanooga Sports Flyers and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Primm; three daughters, Misty Dawn Mink of Conway, Brandy Barrett of Trenton and Autumn Nichole Edwards of Richmond, Va.; his parents, Joe and Ruby Primm, both of Jonesboro; a sister, Susan Farr of Jonesboro; a brother, Michael Primm of Jonesboro; and three grandchildren, A.J. Barrett, Branden Barrett and Madeline Mink.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with A.C. Durham officiating. Burial will be in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Moore Funeral Home of Trenton.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at the funeral home and 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Brenda Kay Smart

MARKED TREE -- Brenda Kay Smart, 54, of Marked Tree died Sunday, May 29, at Marked Tree. She was born at Detroit.

Survivors include a daughter, Dana Smart of Marked Tree; and a brother, Gary Watson of Arab, Ala.

She was preceded in death by her parents, U.L. and Charlene Wilma Watson, and a sister.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, with George Haygood officiating. Burial will be in Piggott Cemetery under the direction of Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott.

Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Broughton, Billy Adams, George Britton, Jerry Gibson and Joe Johnson.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
