PONCHATOULA, La. — Agnes Virginia Rook Workman, 100, of Ponchatoula, La., died Thursday, April 1, 2004. She was a homemaker.
Interment will be at Mount View cemetery in Hackett under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
She is survived by a son, Floyd Workman Jr. of Louisiana; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

WINSLOW — Dean Pense, 51, of Winslow (Winfrey Valley) died Sunday, April 4, 2004, in his home. He was born March 14, 1953, in Springdale. He was a member of Chester Freewill Baptist Church and a farmer.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Chester Freewill Baptist Church with burial at Pense-Reed cemetery in Winslow under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie; a daughter, Emily Pense of Van Buren; a son, Dillon Pense of the home; a stepdaughter, Christine Cooper of the home; his parents, Loyd and Violet Pense of Winslow; two sisters, Diane Faulkner of Winslow and Denett Ralston of Fayetteville; five brothers, Don, Dwight and Doug Pense, all of Mountainburg, and Darrell and Dick Pense, both of Winslow; and one grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Randy DeLaet, Jerry Graham, Carl LaRue and Jacob, Michael and Harry Nagy.
Margie Moss
GREENWOOD — Margie Faucett Moss, 78, of Greenwood died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was a homemaker and active in the Pentecostal Church.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Howard Hill Assembly of God in Jenny Lind with burial at Mountain View cemetery in Hackett under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
She is survived by her husband, Cecil; a daughter, Darla Jones of Hackett; a son, Ray Keech of Greenwood; three sisters, Gloria Cradic of Greenwood, Sue Cox of Spiro, and Pauline Ziele of Michigan; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Gregory Jones, Steven Lambros, Cecil Cradic, Howard Cox and Gerrett and Wesley Cantrell.
The body may be viewed 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Dolores Sloan
Dolores Faye Sloan, 75, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 6, 1928, in Fort Smith. She was a retired deputy from the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Department.
The body was cremated under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond; two daughters, Cindy Barrett of Atlanta and Cecilia Sloan of Puerto Rico; a sister, Helen Frazier of Palm Bay, Fla.; and a brother, Thomas Edds of Merritt Island, Fla.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Ronald David Carson, 52, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, April 6. 2004, in his home. He was born June 4, 1951, in Fort Smith. He was retired from Whirlpool after 25 years of service, a member of Evangel Temple, the National Rifle Association, a supporter of American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society and a member of PACE Local Union No. 5-0370.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene; a daughter, Carrie Swink of Greenwood; his father, Walter Sapp of Kansas; three sisters, Mary Ray of Texas, Deborah Swaim of Fort Smith and Regina Popa of Van Buren; four brothers, Karl Sapp of Alaska and James, Daniel and Phillip Sapp, all of Fort Smith.

PARIS — Imalene Lee, 79, of Paris died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, in her home. She was a member of Midway Assembly of God and affiliated with the Senior Citizen Center in Paris.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Midway Assembly of God with burial at Horn cemetery in Midway under the direction of Murray Funeral Home of Paris.
She is survived by he husband, Fay; two daughters, Neda Lott and Barbara Eckman, both of Ventura, Calif.; a son, David Lee of Fort Smith; her parents, Jack and Linney Deeds; two sisters, Hilda Tuttle of Desoto, Kan., and Corine Brintton of Manilla; two brothers, Leroy Deeds of Fort Smith and Sherman Deeds; several grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

James A. Martin, 47, of Fort Smith died Monday, April 5, 2004, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a member of Old Time Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Martin.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Woodlawn Memorial Park Chapel with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his mother, Audrey Martin of Fort Smith; aunts, Doris Shoop of Spiro and Marjorie Hernandez of Royal Oak, Mich.; and several cousins.

Mary Rodgers, 82, of Fort Smith died Monday, April 5, 2004 in Fort Smith. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Fort Smith and was secretary to the chief of police with the Fort Smith Police Department. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sally Martin.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Central Presbyterian Church in Fort Smith under the direction of Fentress Mortuary in Fort Smith.
She is survived by her husband, William Rodgers; one daughter, Linda Cassady of Fort Smith, and three grandchildren, Dane Cassady, Grant Cassady and Micah Bennett.
Pallbearers will be Dane Cassady, Grant Cassady, Bob Delay, J.D. Sagely, Don Castling and Don Griffith.

Ryan Anthony Blackstock
Ryan Anthony Blackstock, 16, of Van Buren passed away April 6, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was a junior at Van Buren High School. He loved street basketball and rap music. He also played baseball for the Van Buren Boys and Girls Club. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Van Buren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel with burial at Gill cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.

He also is survived by several cousins. He was loved by all and will be missed by all.

Elzo Burn “Al” Moubry
Elzo Burn “Al” Moubry was born into this world Sept. 11, 1922, in Shellsburg, Iowa, to James C. and Dora M. Moubry. He passed to be with his father and savior Monday, April 5, 2004, in a Fort Smith hospital.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2004, at Roberts Memorial Chapel with burial at Glendale cemetery near Booneville under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Glenda S. Moubry of the home; two sons, Grant Moubry of Carlisle, Pa., and Steve Moubry of Bedford, Texas; one daughter, Patricia Anderson of McLean, Va.; one step-son, Phil Hicks of Greenwood; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Upon completion of high school and two years of college, Al enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He flew wit the 460th Bomber group, 15th Air Force and was stationed in Spinazzola, Italy, from 1944 to 1945. He obtained the rank of S/SGT and flew on the B24 Liberators as a ball-turret gunner. He served in the Mediterranean and European Theatres with more than 40 sorties to his credit. Upon his honorable discharge, he began to work in the excavation and road construction field. He was a sales representative for more than 20 years for a large heavy duty equipment company in the New England area. Upon his retirement, he moved back to the Booneville area to be close to family and friends. He attended the First United Methodist Church in Booneville.
Pallbearers will be Trent Norton, Stanley Norton, Judson Norton, Joe Earp, Jared Walker, David Jewell, Justin Jewell and Scott Parker.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at Roberts Funeral Home.
Joyce Hayes
LITTLE ROCK — Joyce Hayes, 66, of Little Rock died Tuesday, April 6, 2004. She was a member of Western Hills United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one sister, Zelma Davis of Little Rock; and two brothers, Bob Carson of Fort Smith, and J.A. Huddleston of Shreveport, La.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Griffin Leggett Forest Hills in Little Rock with burial at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Carter Camp
Carter Camp, 78, of Fort Smith died Sunday, April 4, 2004, in a local hospital. He was formerly of Napa, Calif., an Army veteran and had worked as a boilermaker at Kaiser Steel in Napa, Calif.
He is survived by his wife, Naidell Camp of Fort Smith; a step-son, Darrel Anderson; two daughters, Angela Camp and Leanora Wilson, both of Napa, Calif.; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Cremation was handled under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home with burial of cremains at a later date.
Lois Cooper
ALMA — Lois D. Cooper, 95, of Alma died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, in a local nursing home.
She was formerly of Newton, Texas, and was born March 12, 1909. She was a devout Christian of the Methodist faith who gardened, cooked and fished. She was a cashier at Westbrook Grocery in Newton for 22 years and was the widow of Irving Cooper.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Smith Funeral Home in Newton, Texas, with burial at Newton cemetery. Local arrangements are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
She is survived by two sons, Ralph Cooper of Van Buren and Charles Cooper of Las Vegas; a sister, Selma Fones of Beaumont, Texas; two grandchildren, a step-granddaughter and five great-grandchildren.

Jerry Rozell
Jerry Albert Rozell, 69, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was a retired machine shop manager for Parts Plus in Fort Smith and an Air Force veteran. He attended First Freewill Baptist Church in Fort Smith.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Old Union cemetery with burial at Old Union cemetery near Hackett under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.
He is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Pacheco of the home and Christie Cole of Tennessee; a sister, Colleen Stevenson of Van Buren, and three grandchildren.
Johnnie DeWitt
SPIRO — Johnnie Lee DeWitt, 64, of Spiro died Tuesday, April 6, 2004 in Fort Smith. He was a member of Birch Chapel Assembly of God. He worked for Orchid Papermill in Pryor, Okla., for 20 years before retiring.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Birch Chapel Assembly of God with burial at New Hope cemetery in Spiro under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home in Spiro.
He is survived by his wife, Aline of the home; a daughter, Renee Allen of Cameron, Okla.; two stepdaughters, Sheila Walker of Tahlequah, Okla., and Connie McGee of Spiro; three sons, Ronnie DeWitt and Clifford DeWitt, both of Cameron and Kevin DeWitt of Ehrenberg, Ariz.; a step-son, Joe Weese of Muskogee, Okla.; his mother, Myrtle DeWitt of Cameron; six sisters, Oleta Helton of Shady Point, Lucille Dees of Spiro, Betty DeWitt and Polly Desa DeWitt, both of Cameron, Doris Thomas of San Diego and Nadine Wells of Muse, Okla.; one brother, Donnie DeWitt of Wister, Okla.; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
