CARTER LAKE, Iowa — Hettie Lane, 74, of Carter Lake, Iowa, formerly of McCurtain, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2003, in Carter Lake. She was the widow of Keyes Lane.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hilltop Holiness Mission Church with burial at Iron Bridge cemetery in Keota under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Stigler.
She is survived by a daughter, Carmelita Brendle of Carter Lake, Iowa; two sons, Alvin Lane of Carter Lake, Iowa, and Carl Lane of St. Joseph, Mich.; four sisters, Susie Green, Lucille Cravens, Ethyl Allen and Nora Johnson, all of Oklahoma; two brothers, Sam Cravens of California and Jim Cravens of Oklahoma; and six grandchildren.
William Secrest
PASADENA, Texas — William Stanley Secrest, 79, of Pasadena, Texas, formerly of Fort Smith, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, in Pasadena. He was a longtime member of Sunset United Methodist Church and Wesley Sunday school class in Pasadena. He was born Oct. 24, 1924, in Fayetteville. He graduated from high school in Fort Smith, served as an ensign in the Navy during World War II, graduated from the University of Arkansas, was a reporter for the Arkansas Democrat in Little Rock and in the advertising and public relations offices of Southwestern Bell Telephone Co., both in Little Rock and St. Louis, worked for Houston Lighting and Power Co. in Houston-Pasadena area, and after 30 years of service retired as manager of corporate communications.
Funeral will be Wednesday at Sunset United Methodist Church in Pasadena, Texas, with burial at Forest Park East in Harris County under the direction of Pasadena Funeral Chapel in Pasadena, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Ila; a daughter, Robin Secrest of Pasadena, Texas; a son, Richard Secrest of Houston; two sisters, Nancy Christy of Denton, Texas, and Jean Johnson of Fort Smith.

MCCURTAIN — Rusty Kidwell, 54, of McCurtain died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003. He served in the Marines.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Miners cemetery in McCurtain under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
He is survived by his wife, Sue; a daughter, Charlene Kidwell of Visalia, Calif.; a sister, Teah House of Visalia, Calif.; a brother, Jack Daniels of Strathmore, Calif.
The body may be viewed 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Louie Hall Jr.
Louie “L.P.” Hall Jr., 72, of Van Buren died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, in a local hospital. He was a retired pest control technician for McConnell Pest Control, a Baptist and the widower of Maxine Hall.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Gill cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by two daughters, Vickey Selby and Tammy Sprayberry, both of Van Buren; a son, Rickey Hall of Broken Arrow, Okla.; a stepdaughter, Nancy Poague of Van Buren; two stepsons, Steve Brown of Chesapeake, Va., and Paul Brown of Alma; seven grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.

WALDRON — Kenneth Howell Stokes, 78, of Waldron died Monday, Nov. 3, 2003, in Waldron. He was born July 9, 1925, in Philadelphia, Miss. He was a World War II veteran, a Methodist and retired from the Arkansas State Highway Department.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Smith Mortuary Chapel in Charleston with burial at St. Anthony’s cemetery in Caulksville.
He is survived by his wife, Laura; two sisters, Hazel Hudnell of Dekalb, Miss., and Gwin Robertson of Jackson, Miss.
The family will visit with friends from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Letha Zuber
Letha Zuber, 84, of Van Buren died Monday, Nov. 3, 2003, in a local hospital. She was a homemaker, a member of First Baptist Church, the Van Buren Garden Club, and worked in California during World War II as one of the original “Rosie the Riveters.”
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; a daughter, Randy Scott of Van Buren; a son, Michael Zuber of Russellville; a sister, Sarah Bates of Van Buren; and one grandchild.

Holmes B. Kueck, 80, of Fort Smith died Monday, Nov. 3, 2003, in a local hospital. He was a plant manager for Unitog Manufacturing, a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, an Army veteran of World War II, a member of the 20th Armored Tank Division and the Missouri VFW.

Florence B. Naseef, 90, of Fort Smith died Monday, Nov. 3, 2003, in a local nursing home. She was a retail clerk and a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — Edith Bluebell Cathey, 96, of Tahlequah, Okla., formerly of Van Buren, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, in Tahlequah. She was born Jan. 3, 1907, in Durwood, Okla., in Indian Territory. She was of the Assembly of God faith, attended Calvary of God in Tahlequah and was the widow of Owen Cathey.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Green Country Funeral Home Chapel in Tahlequah with burial at 2 p.m. at New Mulberry cemetery in Mulberry.

Darrell Fisher
OWASSO, Okla. — Darrell Channing Fisher, 62, of Owasso, Okla., died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003. He was born Oct. 13, 1941, in Muskogee, Okla. He graduated from Fort Smith High School Class of 1960, was a veteran of the Air Force, earned his associate’s degree in business at Rogers State University in Claremore, Okla., was a sales representative for more than 29 years.
Funeral will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso, Okla. with graveside committal service at 3:30 p.m. at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren.
He is survived by a daughter, Adrienne Fisher of Owasso, Okla.; two brothers, Stephen Young of Van Buren and Bobby Young of Tulsa; his mother, Laveda Young of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Scott Morgan, Al Kennon, Duane Nutt, Cliff Bell, Rick Peterson and Ken Harrington.
Claude Wade Frazier
Claude Wade Frazier, 87, formerly of Fort Smith, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2004, at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Washington, D.C., where he had lived since 1961.
He was a retired sergeant major having served his country for over 26 years in the U.S. Army. He served in the Philippines, North Africa and Italy during World War II. He also served in the 
Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the Fort Smith Masonic Lodge.
Claude is survived by two children, Barbara Hoblitzell of Van Buren and Wade Frazier of Fort Smith. He had eight grandchildren, Charles and Cindy Scott III of Hackett, Ben Scott, Derek Scott, and Tara Scott of Fort Smith, Corey and Heather Scott and Christina Cobb of Van Buren, Jessica Frazier of Lavaca and Nicole Frazier of New Port Richey, Fla. He had 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Frazier Funeral Home in Washington, D.C. Interment will be at the Arlington National cemetery in Arlington, Va.
Lloyd Charles Ridenour Jr.
Lloyd Charles Ridenour Jr., 67, of Park Hill, Okla., died Friday, May 21, 2004, near Keys, Okla. He was born Nov. 11, 1936, to Lloyd Charles Ridenour and Beulah Sims Ridenour in Hulbert, Okla. Lloyd grew up in Muskogee where he was educated and graduated from Central High School in 1954. He matriculated to Oklahoma State University where he belonged to Sigma Alpha Epilson fraternity. Then he attended Northeastern State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and teaching. In 1960, Lloyd began a career in sales at Olin Kraft Box Corporation in Springdale. He moved to Fort Smith in 1964 where he was the general manager for Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation until 1997. He moved to Muskogee in 1997 where he served as the general manager of the Smurfit-Stone Container Muskogee plant until his retirement in 2001. In his retirement Lloyd enjoyed golf and fishing.
Preceding Lloyd in death were his parents and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis, of the home; two sons, Greg K. Ridenour of Chicago and Lloyd C. Ridenour III and his wife, Debra, of Argyle, Texas; two granddaughters, Brooke and Ashley Ridenour of Argyle, Texas; and one sister and brother-in-law, Clara and Guy Webb of Park Hill, Okla.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2004, at Greenhill cemetery in Muskogee, Okla. Funeral service arrangements are under the direction of Foster-Petering Funeral Home in Muskogee, Okla.
Robert D. “Bob” Boggan
Robert D. “Bob” Boggan, born Sept. 3, 1919, in Hickory, Miss. He was a member and a deacon of Phoenix Village Baptist Church, and sang in the choir. He was an Army veteran of World War II serving in the South Pacific and Europe. He was a Master Mason, a member of Lodge No. 430 in Muskogee, Okla., and a Teamster No. 373 of Fort Smith. He was a bread salesman having worked for Muskogee Bakery, he managed Melo Toast Bakery in Poteau, where he met his wife of 57 years, Grace Hargrove Boggan. He worked for Shipley Baking Company in Fort Smith where he retired.
He is survived by his wife, Grace; two daughters, Bobbie Hall and husband Mike of Little Rock and Nancy Eatmon and husband Bill of Fort Smith; three grandchildren, Rob Hall and wife Shelby of Kansas City, Mo., Christie Holmes of Fort Smith, and Sarah Marks and husband Tommy of Little Rock; a great-grandson, Sam Thomas Hall of Kansas City, Mo. He had four sisters, Rebecca Montgomery and Gloria Boggan of Hickory, Miss., Virginia Chancellor of Crystal River, Fla., and Eva Oram of Belfountain, Ontario, Canada; and one brother, Douglas Boggan of Kosciscko, Miss.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 9, at Putman Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Allen Branham, Bill Browder, Steve Reynolds, Clifton McConnell, Jerald Venable and Earl Lininger. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Phoenix Village Baptist Church, Gerald Sloan, Harold Costelow, J.W. McAlpin, Neal Clark and Harold Hawkins, and the retired bread salesmen of Shipley Baking Company.
