PARIS — Larry Neal Varnell, 59, of Paris died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, in Clarksville. He was born July 19, 1945, in Subiaco. He was a used car salesman, worked at Cotton Gin in England, Collinwood Grain Co. in Kansas and Chicago Bridge & Iron Co.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Midway Assembly of God with burial at Hickory Grove cemetery in Midway under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home of Clarksville.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; two daughters, Regina Trask of Eagle Grove, Iowa, and Amanda Smith of Fort Dodge, Iowa; two sons, Ray Varnell of Midway and Josh Varnell of Dardanelle; three brothers, Curtis, Darrel and Danny Varnell, all of Midway; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Troy Fondren, Hershal Hice, Jose Garza, John Holman, Steve Watson, Sidney Pigreen, Ronnie Sanders and Roger Caldwell.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Pauline Johnson
STIGLER — Pauline L. Johnson, 87, of Stigler died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, in Tulsa. She was born Feb. 25, 1917, in Jenny Lind. She owned and operated a beauty shop in Stigler, a member of the Methodist Church and the widow of T.J. Johnson.
Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Antioch cemetery near Stigler under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
She is survived by a daughter, Janice Watson of Broken Arrow, Okla.; a son, Bill Roye of Naples, Fla.; two sisters, Retha Wise of Skiatook, Okla., and Elsie Goff of Stigler; a brother, Bud Lowe of Bakersfield, Calif.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
Richard McGehee
SALLISAW — Richard Dale McGehee, 46, of Sallisaw died Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, in Sallisaw.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Sallisaw with burial at Sallisaw cemetery.
He is survived by his parents, A.C. McGehee of Tulsa and Patsy McGehee of Sallisaw; a sister, Linda McGehee of Coweta, Okla.; and two brothers, Don and Bob McGehee, both of Tulsa.
Pallbearers will be Don and James McGehee, Larry Lancaster, Ken and Jerrel McGlothlin and David Jennings.

Arval L. Williamson, 74, of Barling died Sunday, July 18, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was a retired employee of Rheem Manufacturing, a member of the First Baptist Church in Barling, a retired fireman for the Barling Fire Department and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at First Baptist Church in Barling with burial at Barling City cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Betty of the home; two daughters, Billie Jane Gentry of Everman, Texas, and Teresa Moon of Fort Smith; two sisters, Bella Jo Crosslin and Jackie McClain, both of Barling; and two grandchildren, Dallas Moon and Marsha Gentry.
Pallbearers will be Doug Walker, Bill McMahan, Delmer Bullington, Jimmy Bullington, Tim Moon, Jerry Barling and Roger Bullington.

James W. Bowers, 75, of Charleston died Saturday, July 17, 2004, in his home. He was born April 27, 1929, in Blytheville to Jack Bowers and Mae Smith Bowers. He was a retired machinist for F&C Mfg. Co. in Madera, Calif.
There will be no funeral services. Body cremated under the direction of Smith Mortuary Inc. of Charleston.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Bowers of the home; three sons, Jerry Bowers of Modesto, Calif., Glen Bowers of Gila Bend, Ariz., and David Bowers of Little Rock; five sisters, Wanda Davis of Armona, Calif., Martha Davis of LeMoore, Calif., Millie Richie of Hanford, Calif., Velma McCain of Phoenix and Joan Howard of Glendale, Ariz.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Alfred D. Eslinger
Alfred D. Eslinger, 92, of Barling passed away Sunday, July 18, 2004, in a local hospital. He was a retired warehouse supervisor for Hollis and Company and he attended Cavanaugh Freewill Baptist Church in Fort Smith. His wife, Lorene Eslinger, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Barling City cemetery in Barling under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by one daughter, Doris Sue Matlock and husband Kenneth of Tyler, Texas; two sons, Harold Ray Eslinger of Roland and Alford Eugene Eslinger and wife Kathy of Rotonda West, Fla.; three sisters, Annie McMahan of Lavaca, Artie Young and husband James of Van Buren, and Opal Eslinger of Fort Smith; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and special friend Reba Cheek of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be his grandson Scott Eslinger, great-grandsons Chad Duncan, Jason Pendleton and Brandon Goad, and nephews Wayne and Jerry Prescott. Honorary pallbearers will his grandsons Gregory Eslinger and Kent Matlock.

Michael Ross Kruithof
Michael Ross Kruithof was born in Wichita, Kan., on April 27, 1983, to Dean and Cynthia Kruithof. He lived in Stillwater, Okla., and DeKalb, Ill., before moving to Fort Smith with his family in 1999. He graduated from Southside High School in 2001. Ross was currently working toward a degree in hotel and restaurant administration at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. He would have begun his senior year next month. He was a member of the Club Managers Association of America and had represented OSU at various trade shows and career fairs. He was a talented artist and had won several awards for his drawings. He loved music, loved to travel and had hoped to someday live in Colorado.
In addition to his parents, Ross is survived by his brother, Marshall.
A memorial service will be held today at 10 a.m. at Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.

Hart John Mabry Robbins, 27, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2004, in Colorado Springs, Colo. He was born May 20, 1977, in Fort Smith. He was a chef at Tommy’s Restaurant.

SPIRO — Freddie Earl Chambers, 51, of Spiro died Wednesday, July 14, 2004, in a local hospital. He was a concrete layer for W.D. Jeffery Construction.

He is survived by his mother, Emma Chambers of Spiro; a sister, Doris Reynolds of Fort Coffee, Okla.; seven brothers, Charles Chambers of Norman, Okla., Dennis, Jerry, Frankie, Thomas and Herbert Chambers Jr., all of Spiro, and Rashawd Chambers of Fort Coffee, Okla.

Leslie L. Webb, 60, of Fort Smith died Sunday, July 18, 2004, in his home. He was born Dec. 20, 1943, in Morganfield, Ky. He was a member of Rye Hill Baptist Church, co-owner of Economy Feed & Tack, a lifetime member of Arkansas Quarter Horse Association, and one of the founders of the American Paint Association.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Rye Hill Baptist Church with burial at Douglas cemetery in Jenny Lind under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Liz; a daughter, Pam Brown of Huntington; a son, Lee Webb of Fort Smith; his parents, Lester and Pauline Webb of Fort Smith; a sister, Paula Dean of Greenwood; and three grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Dana Benson of Howe; and two grandchildren.

BOONEVILLE — Tommie Delbert Glover, 73, of Booneville died Sunday, July 18, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was a member of Baptist Temple in Modesto, Calif., a veteran of the 
Korean War, and founder of Glover’s Machine Works of Fort Smith in 1984.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Booneville with burial at 2 p.m. at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith with military honors under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Booneville.
He is survived by his wife, Letha; two daughters, Sherri Sheets of Green River, Wyo., and Ramona Cherry of Fort Smith; three sons, Tommie and Dennis Glover, both of Booneville, and Michael Glover of Barling; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
