RUSSELLVILLE — Alice Karnes Roberts, 92, of Russellville died Saturday, July 24, 2004, in a Russellville nursing home. She was born March 1, 1912, on Linker Mountain. She worked as a clerk for Quick Service Cleaners for 30 years and was a member of Harmony Freewill Baptist Church. She was the widow of Ezra Roberts.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Humphrey Funeral Service Chapel in Russellville with burial at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
She is survived by three daughters, Ina Darter and Ona McAnulty, both of Russellville, and Margaret Linton of Fort Smith; a son, Euel Roberts of Russellville; a sister, Esther Sparks of Dover; two brothers, Sid Karnes of Havana and Lester Karnes of Missouri; 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Jesse Hardin
POTEAU — Jesse W. Hardin, 87, of Poteau died Saturday, July 24, 2004, in Poteau. He was born May 6, 1917, in Cameron. He attended school in Cameron and retired from construction work in 1982. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Poteau.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Southside Baptist Church in Poteau with burial at Oakland cemetery under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Cecil; two daughters, Carol Tobler of Tulsa and Marilyn Vaught of Gladewater, Texas; a son, Larry Hardin of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Southside Baptist Church in Poteau.

Emmitt Eatmon
MULDROW — Emmitt Eugene Eatmon, 62, of Muldrow died Saturday, July 24, 2004, in Muldrow. He was born Aug. 24, 1941, in Big Cedar. He was retired from the Navy 22 years and was formerly employed at MacSteel and Tyson Foods. He attended Lees Chapel Assembly of God.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Muldrow with burial at the U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Diane; four daughters, Michelle Child of Akins, Toni Neal of Fort Smith, Chiristine Jones of Kansas, Okla., and Lauanah Stinson of Poteau; two sons, Buron Eatmon of Springdale and William Rowe of Arkansas; and two sisters, Rose VanGilder of Missouri and Donna Braden of Panama.
Pallbearers will be a Navy Honor Guard.
The body may be viewed from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Devien Shanon Russell
Devien Shanon Russell, 4, of Van Buren died Sunday, July 25, 2004, in Van Buren. He attended the Elite Academy in Van Buren preschool.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Ocker Memorial Chapel with burial at Woods cemetery near Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his parents, Michael and Tonya Russell of Van Buren; two brothers, Robert Russell of the home and Tray Brinkman of Alabama; paternal grandfather, Gene Russell of Van Buren; aunt Cornelia Spillman of Dallas; uncles Roy McConathy of Augusta, Kan., Kyle McConathy of Mountainburg; aunt Agnes and uncle Wallace Russell of Fort Smith; a great-aunt, Bea Gilbreth of Mountainburg; three cousins, Ginger and Sara Russell, both of Fort Smith, and Matt Enslin of Dallas.

Stephen Monta Belzung
Stephen Monta Belzung, 26, of Fort Smith died Sunday, July 25, 2004. He was born July 27, 1977, in Fort Smith, the second child of William E. and Salvacion M. Belzung. Stephen attended UAFS where he majored in computer science; was the manager of Photography Film Processing Unit at Walgreens. His hobbies were working with computers and being with his many friends and family. Everyone that knew Stephen even for a short while was affected by his caring attitude that he had toward others. He will be missed by all. Stephen is survived by his parents, William and Salvacion Belzung of Barling; a sister, Renee F. Arnold of Rudy; a brother, Andrew L. Belzung of Barling; maternal grandparents, Roman and Antonia Monta of West Palm Beach, Fla.; paternal grandparents, Robert and Fern Belzung of Fort Smith. Funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2004, at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith. The body may be viewed beginning at 8 a.m. today.

Linda Goodman-Cecil
Linda Goodman-Cecil, 43, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 27, 2004. She was a former employee of St. Edward Mercy Medical Center, Crawford Memorial and Health South. She was preceded in death by one brother, Charlie Palmer. Linda is survived by her husband, Mark of the home; two sons, Timm Palmer and wife Heather, and Jesse Goodman III of Fort Smith; one grandson, Devis Palmer of Fort Smith; parents, Glenn and Faye Palmer of Hartford, mother- and father-in-law, Peggy and Dewey Cecil of Arkoma; two sisters, Kelly Bell of Van Buren and Susan Anderson of Fort Smith; two brothers, Rick Palmer and wife Phyllis of Greenwood and Allen Palmer of Hartford; sister-in-law, Jennifer Carr and mate Marcus Ashworth of Van Buren; four nieces; four nephews; three great-nieces; several cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family and friends. Memorial service will be held 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at 3629 Macarthur Drive in Fort Smith. Arrangements under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.

Debra Harvell
Debra Harvell, 48, of Fort Smith passed away Sunday, July 25, 2004, in her home. She attended Grand Avenue Baptist Church. She was a great and well-established poet, a loving wife, mother and homemaker.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. today at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Oak cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Harvell; daughters, Angela Barker of Van Buren and Amanda Graham of Fort Smith, Sheila Cagle of Fort Smith, Shelly Harvell of Roland, Sherri Harvell of Denver, Suzie Harvell of Roland, and Samantha Harvell of Colorado; one son, Kenneth Millican of Fort Smith; her parents, Willard and Ella Mauldin of Fort Smith; one sister, Kenna Mauldin of Fort Smith; one brother, Roy Mauldin of Fort Smith; one grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Graham, Robert Barker, Justin Page, Robert Millican, Jess Pottridge and Bryan Jiles.

Rebecca Kutait
LITTLE ROCK — Rebecca Nicole Kutait, 21, of Little Rock died Sunday, July 25, 2004. She was born Nov. 26, 1982, in Denison, Texas. She was attending UCA on an Honor Society Program Scholarship, majoring in English and pre-law, and was of the Lutheran faith.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Christ Lutheran Church with burial at 4 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith under the direction of Regency Funeral Home of Malvern.
She is survived by her parents, Lisa and Kemal Kutait Jr.; two sisters, Erica Estoker of Lawrence, Kan., and Sara Kutait of Little Rock; and grandparents, Kemal and Virginia Kutait of Fort Smith, Bob and Ann Patterson of Shawnee, Okla., and Ernest and Kathy Sturch of Durant, Okla.
Pallbearers will be Chris, Jerry and David Sturch, Page and Ed Kutait, Jim Coleman, Neumann Dotterweich and Ben Pierce.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Christ Lutheran Church, 315 S. Hughes St. in Little Rock.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mount St. Mary’s Catholic School or UCA Scholarship Fund in the name of Rebecca Kutait.

Elnora Williams
MULDROW — Elnora Williams, 84, of Muldrow died Saturday, July 24, 2004, in Roland. She was born Aug. 25, 1919, in Humbolt, Kan. She was a licensed practical nurse at Muldrow Nursing Home, of the Church of Christ faith, and the widow of Floyd Williams.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Muldrow with burial at Memory Gardens cemetery in Muldrow.
She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Burns of Scotland; three sons, Marcus and Richard Williams, both of Muldrow, and Robert Williams of Cedarville; two sisters, Elsie Poach of Richmond, Calif., and Luella Ridenour of Lodi, Calif.; two brothers, Ron Brown of Locust Grove, Okla., and Kenneth Brown of Stockton, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Lee Burns, Sean, Thomas and David Williams, Matthew Farris and James Burns.

Agnes Rambo
LAMAR — Agnes Marie Rambo, 90, of Lamar, formerly of Fort Smith, died Saturday, July 24, 2004, in Lamar. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co., served in the Navy WAVES during World War II, was an organist and pianist for several churches, and was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Lawrence Rambo.
Burial of cremains will be 2 p.m. Friday at Forest Park cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Ethel Perry
KEOTA — Ethel Mae Johnson Perry, 95, of Keota died Monday, July 26, 2004, in Stigler. She was a member of the Only Way Baptist Church and the widow of Charlie Perry.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Simon Issac cemetery in Keota under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Stigler.
She is survived by a daughter, Alice Tom of Red Oak; a son, Albert Perry of Keota; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.

Dr. Wayne Stanfield
NEWPORT — Dr. Wayne Stanfield, 83, of Newport died Monday, July 26, 2004, in Newport. He was born Aug. 21, 1920, in Booneville. He was a 1943 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock medical school, he served his residency at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta and specialized in eye, ear, nose and throat. He was a member of the Jackson County Medical Society, Arkansas Medical Society, American Medical Association, the Academy of Ophthalmologists and the First United Methodist Church in Newport. He was an Army veteran of World War II and attained the rank of captain, was a general medical officer with the 172nd General Hospital in India, later served as division liaison officer with the Chinese Army organizing and instructing the Chinese Medical Department in China; returning to the American Theater, he was medical officer with contagious diseases at Camp Crowder Regional Station Hospital. He was a member of the Masons, Jackson Lodge No. 191 F&AM, and the widower of Hazel Stanfield.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. today at Walnut Grove cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Newport.
He is survived by a daughter, Joy McDaniel of Bald Knob; two sons, Robert Stanfield of Little Rock and Van Stanfield of Newport; three half-sisters, Carolyn Hudson of Tulsa, Linda Bennett of Sherwood and Shelley Vickers of Little Rock; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mae MacBride
Mae MacBride, 75, of Fort Smith, formerly of Rochester, Minn., died Monday, July 26, 2004, in Fort Smith.
Arrangements are pending with Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
There are no known survivors.

Calvin Powell
ALMA — Calvin “Pete” Powell, 74, of Alma died Sunday, July 25, 2004, in a local hospital. He was born June 30, 1930, in Adams community.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Ocker Funeral Home Chapel in Alma with burial at Hixson cemetery in Franklin County.
He is survived by a sister, Margie Anderson of Bellville, Texas; and two brothers, Lonnie Powell of Ozark and Ralph Powell of Jacksonville, Fla.
Pallbearers will be Terry, Gary, Billy and David White, Kiefer and Kavin Powell.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Joyia Beckett
BOONEVILLE — Marsha Joyia Beckett, 26, of Booneville died Sunday, July 25, 2004, in Booneville. She was a homemaker.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Full Gospel Mission Church in Paris with burial at Prairie View cemetery in Scranton under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Booneville.
She is survived by a daughter, Mikaela Minnie of the home; two sons, Kiersey Beckett and Keaton Canada, both of the home; father and stepmother, Ray and Shawna Davis of Graham, Texas, mother and stepfather, Mikaela and Jeff Baugh of Maumelle; a sister, Jennifer Davis of Booneville; a brother, Caleb Reed of Little Rock; maternal grandparents, Charles and Sue Pearson of Paris and Marsha Peterson of Maumelle; paternal grandparents, Bobby and Lois Davis of Graham, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Chris, Brian and John Canada, Jessie Franklin, Daniel Gregory and Joe Asbury.

Jeanne Gray
OZARK — Jeanne D. Gray, 64, of Ozark died Sunday, July 25, 2004, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born June 11, 1940, in Atlanta. She retired in 1998 from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she was director of accounts receivable, and previously worked for Emory University in Atlanta as manager of student loans.
Memorial service will be Aug. 7 at First Presbyterian Church in Ozark. Arrangements under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
She is survived by her husband, Rodger; a daughter, Trisha Hoffman of Milledgeville, Ga.; two sons, Michael Hoffman of San Ramon, Calif., and John Hoffman of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three stepsons, Steve Gray of Ozark, Scott and Kenneth Gray, both of Cypress, Calif.; a sister, Linda Daniel of Rockmart, Ga.; two brothers, Jim Daniels of Rockmart, Ga., and Bill Daniel of Conyers, Ga.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes. Foundation.

Michael Hardwick
Michael Dewayne Hardwick, 25, of Fort Smith died Thursday, July 22, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was a member of Mission Point Missionary Baptist Church, a graduate of Northside School in Fort Smith and attended Arkansas Tech University.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Ninth Street Missionary Baptist Church with burial at Oak cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his fiancee, Ashley Vann of Fort Smith; his father, Michael Hardwick of Fort Smith; a sister, Alexa Myers of Fort Smith; two brothers, Stacy and Justin, both of Fort Smith; his grandmother, Florine Hardwick of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be Wendell Fitzpatrick, Jerry Lee Jr., Chris Knauls, Jamel Richardson, Ronnie Cravens Jr. and Brandon Mosley.
The family will visit with friends at 3539 Clayton Court in Fort Smith.
