RUSSELLVILLE — Charles “Buster” Seaton, 44, of Russellville died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, in a Little Rock hospital. He was born Oct. 5. 1959, in Fort Smith. He was the owner-operator of Buster’s Auto Repair in Russellville for more than 20 years.
Service will be private. Arrangements under the direction of Shinn Funeral Home Service of Russellville.
He is survived by his wife, Jamie; a daughter, Evelyn Seaton of Russellville; a son, Charles Seaton of Russellville; a stepdaughter, Kayla Smith of Russellville; a stepson, Johnny Smith of Russellville; his mother, Helen Seaton of Fort Smith; two sisters, Evelyn Batt and Pat Moore, both of Fort Smith; four brothers, Gary Seaton of Birmingham, Ala., Everett, Ronnie and Rickey Seaton, all of Fort Smith; and a grandchild.

Jay Lane
FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Jay Lane, 46, of Fort Collins, Colo., formerly of Fort Smith, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, in a local hospital. He was a 1976 graduate of Southside High School. He graduated with a biology degree from Hendrix College in 1980, and attended graduate school at the University of Arkansas and Cornell University.
Memorial service will be 9:30 a.m. Friday at Springhill Park Pavilion No. 3 in Barling under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle; a daughter, Emily Lane of Fort Collins, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Devon Seymour of Fort Collins, Colo.; a stepson, Cai Seymour of Fort Collins, Colo.; his mother, Charlene Lane of Fort Smith; his father, Robert Lane of Mount Ida; and a sister, Vicki Chamlee of Dallas.
The family will greet friends at the Narthex in the family life center of First United Methodist Church following the memorial service.

Mary F. Little
Mary F. Little, 74, of Fort Smith passed away on Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was a retired loan accounting supervisor for Merchants National Bank after 30 years of service. She was a member of the board of American Institute of Banking, served on the Girls Shelter board, and was a member of the Credit Women of America.
She is survived by her son, Scott and wife Cindy Little of Fort Smith; and one sister, Lucille Ammon of Fort Smith.
Graveside service will be held Thursday, Aug. 12, at 10 a.m. at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home today from 6 to 8 p.m.

Charles J. Nunn
Charles J. Nunn, 73, of Fort Smith went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004. He was a retired chemical salesman and a born again Christian. He was a wonderful and loving father, husband and grandfather. His first wife, Mary Nunn, preceded him in death.
The body will be cremated with a private family service at a later date under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Yancy Nunn; one daughter, Vee Stonebreaker and husband George of Fort Smith; two sons, Charles and Mark Nunn of Fort Smith; four grandchildren, Mariann Jiles, Jerimiah Stonebreaker, Jeremy Rhodes and Matthew Nunn, all of Fort Smith; three great-grandchildren; six stepchildren, Rose Biggers, Lois Funderburk, Angela Wilhelm, Loretta Guthrie, Billy Crossno and Lloyd Self Jr.; and 14 stepgrandchildren.
He was very loved by many people.
Elizabeth Stephens Gies
Elizabeth Stephens Gies, 85, of Denison, Texas went to be with her Lord at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004. She was born Aug. 10, 1918, in Paris. She was a homemaker, a lifelong member of Waples Methodist Church in Denison. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, John Aaron Gies; and her brother, John E. Stephens.
Burial will be at 10 a.m. today at Oak cemetery in Fort Smith with the Rev. Kim Cloniger officiating, under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home of Denison, Texas.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, JoAnn and John Lopez III of Richardson, Texas, Carol and William O’Dell of Colina, Texas, and Chris and Curtis McBarnette of Peachtree City, Ga.; three sisters, Evelyn Gurisco of Little Rock, Estelle England of Fort Smith, and Earlene and Jack Dietz of Amarillo, Texas; nine grandchildren, David Atkins, English Atkins, John Lopez IV, Seana Delozier, Sloan Nitka, Stone Scoggin, Aaron Beavers, Kesli Johnson and Ashli Beavers; and seven great-grandchildren, Destinee Delozier, Derik Delozier, Dylan Delozier, Aaron Nitka, Maitreya Brooks, Olivia Johnson and Tesfa Dubey; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be George David Atkins II, Aaron Beavers, John Phillip Stone Scoggin, John Lopez IV, Derek Phillip Delozier, Aaron Phillip Nitka, and Gary Hale.
The family will visit with friends at the England residence, 4200 S. Q Street in Fort Smith, from 1 to 2 p.m. today.
Marcia Mead Thiele
Marcia Mead Thiele, 78, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, following an extended illness. She was born Dec. 18, 1925, in Albany, N.Y., grew up in Palo Alto, Calif., and attended the University of Arizona graduating with a degree in home economics. She began her career with I. Magnin of San Francisco, followed by the Bendix Corporation before joining Whirlpool in 1954. She went on to become the first woman executive in company history serving as director of Home Services. She was involved in the development and marketing of many of the company’s home appliance products. She left Whirlpool in 1959 to become a full-time mother.
After relocating to Fort Smith in 1966, she became involved in many civic organizations including the Girls Shelter, Girl Scouts and the Voluntary Action Center. She was a member of the Committee of 100 of the Ozark Folk Center and Sparks Women’s Board. She was deeply involved in PTA and a variety of youth programs at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Smith where she was a member and elder. She also served as director of Fort Smith Lincoln Day Care Center, and helped establish the Fountain of Youth Adult Day Care Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert W. Mead and Grace Tibbits Mead, her brother, Robert Mead, and her son, John W. Thiele III.
A celebration of Marcia’s life will be Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004, at 4 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Smith. The body was cremated and will be interred at the columbarium at First Presbyterian Church under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Thiele of the home; two daughters, Margaret Thiele of Fort Smith and Elizabeth Thiele and husband Gary Yellen of Boston; two grandchildren, Margaret Bess Yellen and David Winslow Yellen, both of Boston; and three nephews, Scott Mead, Rob Mead, and Chris Mead, all of Chicago.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Marcia Mead Thiele Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o First Presbyterian Church, 116 N. 12th St., Fort Smith, AR 72903. This scholarship will benefit young women seeking degrees in either education, marketing or science.
Brandon Robert Beshears
Brandon Robert Beshears, 21, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004, in his home. He was born April 8, 1983, in Fort Smith. He was a graduate of Alma High School, class of 2001. Brandon was an electrical engineering major at UAFS, received the Gordon Kelly Electrical Engineering Scholarship and worked in construction. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ and formerly attended Mulberry Church of Christ. Also an avid supporter of Bikers Against Child Abuse.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Edwards Van-Alma Chapel with burial at Evergreen cemetery in Alma under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Caleb and Casey Beshears, Bradley Marion, Chris Weeks, Matthew Scott, Eric Woodard and Chris Mayser.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Joyce and Mike Dahlem of Alma, and father and stepmother, Dan and Renee Beshears of Fort Smith; two brothers, Caleb and Casey Beshears of Alma; grandmother, Aline Pope of Alma; grandfather, Robert Beshears of Bonanza; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Brandon is also survived by a special friend, Britny Asbury and her daughter, Kadynce Asbury. He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Erma Beshears, and a grandfather, Gerald Pope.

James Red Hancox
James Red Hancox, 66, of Fort Smith died Monday, Aug. 9, 2004. He was an employee of Rheem Manufacturing Co., a member of Belle Point Mason Lodge No. 20, and a member of the Shriners.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Woodlawn Memorial Park Chapel with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
He is survived by two sons, Doug and Steve Hancox of Fort Smith; two stepsons, Dan and Jerry Bartlett of Fort Smith; one brother, Charles Hancox of Fort Smith; and five grandchildren.
William England Jr.
GILROY, Calif. — William H. “Billy” England Jr., 46, of Gilroy, Calif., died Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, in Gilroy. He was a transfer driver for Granite Construction, formerly with Don Chapin Co. and Keith Day Trucking, and graduated from North Salinas High School, class of 1975.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hall cemetery Arbor in Natural Dam under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda; a daughter, Brooke England of Chico, Calif.; a son, Billy England of Salinas, Calif.; his parents, Donna and Ernie Hammontree of Uniontown; three sisters, Barbara Miller and Brenda Hammontree, both of Uniontown, and Marsha Myers of Idaho; and a brother, Bob England of Uniontown.

OZARK — Noel Jasper Lindsey, 75, of Ozark died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, in his home. He was born June 4, 1929, in Walter. He was an auto mechanic and a coal miner.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Highland cemetery in Ozark under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
He is survived by his wife, Suzann; a daughter, Rose Brockett of Ozark; three sons, Steven Lindsey of Pelsor, Douglas Lindsey of Pensacola, Fla., and John Lindsey of Ozark; four sisters, Betty Paite of Mountain Center, Calif., Linda Lynch of Ozark, Clara Tidwell of Monroe, La., and Lorene Parker of Farmerville, La.; four brothers, Oris and Ken Lindsey, both of Waldo, Bill Lindsey of Simi Valley, Calif., and James Lindsey of Ozark; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Jewell Jones
ALMA — Jewell Dean Jones, 88, of Alma died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, in her home. She was born Jan. 7, 1916, in Mountainburg. She was a member of Kibler First Baptist Church, a homemaker and the widow of the Rev. Earl Jones.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Ocker Funeral Home Chapel in Alma with burial at Conley cemetery in Mountainburg.
She is survived by two daughters, Jo Howell of Mountain Home and Sue Williams of Mulberry; three sons, Donny Jones of Alma, Jimmy Jones of Tulsa, and Edwin Jones of Mountainburg; a sister, Shirley Day of Roland; four brothers, Hershel Morgan of N. Heights, Calif., Freddy, Lee and Oscar Morgan Jr., all of Mountainburg; 15 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Will; two daughters, Kristie Lawson of Alma and Carla Henderson of Van Buren; four sons, Tim Williford and James Williford Sr., both of Alma, Bryon Williams of Wichita, Kan., and Alan Williams of Fort Smith; four sisters, Edna Glasscock of West Memphis, Pat Irvin of Fort Smith, Judy Robinson of Arkoma, and Jan Bennett of Van Buren; four brothers, Gary Pittman of Alma, Bill Pittman of Claxton, Ga., Donald Pittman of Fort Smith, and Danny Pittman of Skiatook, Okla.; 13 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Bounleung Keomany, 67, of Fort Smith died Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was born June 2, 1937, in Viengtiane, Laos. He was of the Buddhist faith, and a retired carpenter.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Bouaphanh; three daughters, Nokndi Pradaxay of Tampa, Fla., Oui Keomany of Fort Smith, and Jade Childers of Memphis; three sons, Kay, Roung and Chou Keomany, all of Fort Smith; and five grandchildren.

Dora Miller
Dora A. Miller, 88, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004, in a local hospital. She was a retired training aids officer at Fort Chaffee for 33 years, a member of Cavanaugh Missionary Baptist Church, and the widow of John Miller.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Edwards Funeral Chapel with burial at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith.
The body may be viewed from noon to 8:30 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to noon Friday.
Pierre Williams
Pierre Williams, 43, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, in a Fayetteville hospital. He was a member of Ninth Street Missionary Baptist Church, a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, and operated Williams Insurance Group.
Funeral will be 12:30 p.m. Friday at Ninth Street Missionary Baptist Church with burial at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his mother, Phoebe Williams of New York City; and a brother, Gregory Williams of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be Gregory Williams, Billy Proctor, Phillip Cottwell, Odis Pilgrim and James Christian.
