VANDERVOORT — Lois V. Wilkins, 90, of Vandervoort died Wednesday, May 28, 2003 in Mena. She was born July 2, 1912 in Mineola. She was the widow of Vernon Wilkins and attended the Church of Christ.
Graveside service will be 4 p.m. Friday at Witherspoon cemetery in Vandervoort under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home in Mena.
She is survived by three daughters, Joyce Lowrey of Vandervoort, Wanda Brett of Denton, Texas, and Kathi Bollen of Mena; a sister Grace Tilley of Cove; a brother, Zelph Ralls of Prineville, Ore.; 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Belva Spicer
Belva Cravens Spicer, 90, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, May 27, 2003, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker and a former teacher for the Danville Day Care Center. She was also a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, where she served for many years as a Sunday school teacher and was a member of the United Methodist Women.
Funeral will be 9 a.m. Friday at St. Paul United Methodist Church with burial at Elizabeth Hall cemetery in New Blaine under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by a daughter, Susan Robles of Fort Smith; a son, Bill Spicer of Richardson, Texas; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jack Lasey, Bob Carson, Charles Muehe, Jim Weatherford, George Woodruff and Wally Gattis.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Billy Leslie
ROUND LAKE, Ill. — Billy Dale Leslie, 70, of Round Lake, Ill., formerly of Booneville, died Sunday, May 25, 2003, in a Chicago, Ill., nursing home. He was a certified public accountant in Booneville for many years. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Booneville and was a former member of the Booneville Rotary Club. He was the widower of Billie Marie Leslie.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Booneville with burial at Oak Hill cemetery in Booneville under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Booneville.
He is survived by a daughter, Joanna Pfuefer of Round Lake; a son, Phil Leslie of St. Mary, Penn.; a sister, Margaret Relph of Clovis, Calif.; two brothers, Joe of Magnolia and John of McNeil; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Leslie, John Leslie Jr., Bob Harris, Joe Earp, Dale Nelson and Bob Pennebaker.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Booneville Rotary Club.

April Dawn Jones, 20, of Van Buren died Tuesday, May 27, 2003, in her home. She was a former employee of McDonald’s.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. today at Mount McCurry cemetery Arbor near Rudy under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by her best friend, Jennifer Reed of Kibler; her mother, Donna Ellison of Van Buren; her maternal grandparents, Bob and Woneda Jones of Rudy; her step-paternal grandparents, Sharon and Jerry Almond of Dyer; and a sister, Tiffany Blackwell of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Chris Jones, Ira Warlick, Brent Brown, Jimmy Blackwell and Josh and John Nipp.
Wilbur Lacy Crawford
Wilbur Lacy Crawford, 77, of Van Buren died Tuesday, May 27, 2003, in a local nursing home. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Van Buren, a Navy veteran and a retired construction foreman. He was the widower of Ruby Nell Crawford.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Ocker Memorial Chapel with burial at Gill cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by a daughter, Sharon Sullivan of Van Buren; a son, Wilbur Crawford of Vilonia; four sisters, Lenice Gordon Thompson, Levonna Kendrick, Wanda Sallee and Lorraine Osborne, all of Van Buren; two brothers, Darrell and Larwence Crawford, both of Van Buren; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Gertrude “Gertie” Hunt
Gertrude “Gertie” Hunt, 95, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, May 28, 2003, in a Fort Smith nursing home. She was a homemaker and a member of Temple Baptist Church in Fort Smith and was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Roland Hunt.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at the McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Pine Log cemetery in Barber.
She is survived by a son, Joe Hunt of Fort Smith, and his wife, Joy; a sister, Dorothy Farmer of Bakersfield, Calif.; three brothers, Olaf Holland of Mansfield, Otis Holland of Pine Bluff and Wayne Holland of California; a grandson, Gary Hunt of Springdale and his wife, Sheila; and two great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Travis Hunt of Springdale.
Pallbearers will be Howard, Phillip, Paul, Jimmy, Perry and Larry Holland.

Levi Carlile Jr., 71, of Fort Smith passed away May 26, 2003, in Fort Smith. He was the owner operator of Levi Carlile Trucking.

John “Bronco” Bray
John “Bronco” Bray, 68, of Alma died Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, in a local hospital. He was an electrician and welder and a member of the local No. 700 IBEW. He is preceded in death by his mother, Clara Bray; his father, Marshall Bray; two brothers, Robert and Lonnie Bray; and a sister, Maggie Tinker.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalie Bray of the home; one daughter, Pam Cox and her husband Benny of Alma; three sons, Robert Bray and his wife Paula of Baldwin park, Calif., Edward Bray and his wife Debbie of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Michael Bray and his wife Florencia of Franklin, Tenn.; a sister, Billy Jean Nelson of Highland, Texas; and 12 grandchildren, Jennifer, Wesley, Doc, Michaela and Kallie Bray, Kris, Kolby and Kay Lee Cox and Erica, Cory, Aaron and Johnathan Bray.

Richard D. Sisco
Richard D. Sisco, 50, of Greenwood, died peacefully in his home, after a two-year battle with cancer, on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004. He was born Dec. 10, 1953, in Texarkana. He worked as a part of the management team at Zero Mountain Inc., had been a marketing director and independent insurance agent for 15 years, served in the Navy during Vietnam and attended Community Bible Church in Fort Smith.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. today at Community Bible Church in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith with burial Tuesday at East Memorial Gardens in Texarkana. Public viewing will be at Edwards Funeral Home until 11 a.m. today. There will be no viewing at the church. The family will greet friends at the church after the service.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rika and Ricky Dow and Jayla and Ben Morgan, all of St. Marys, Ga.; one son and daughter-in-law, Dustin and Marina Sisco of St. Marys; two stepsons and a daughter-in-law, Brian and Kelly Martin of Fayetteville and Brad Martin of Conway; his father and stepmother, Jimmie and Anita Sisco of Wake Village, Texas; one brother, Mickey Sisco of Red Water, Texas; one sister, Ti Ballard of Texarkana, Texas; and two grandsons, Rhett and Rafe Dow.

Robert Nichols Cutting
Robert Nichols Cutting, 79, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, in a local hospital. He was born May 24, 1925, and attended Fort Smith High School, where he graduated in 1942. He then attended Washington and Lee University and graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1946 with a BA degree. In 1948, Bob married
Jane McDonald, and they settled in Fort Smith and began their family. He was president and CEO of Fort Smith Rim and Bow Co. Bob was a former member of the Exchange Club, Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, the first Fort Smith Investment Club and the Republican Club, a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church and a founder of the Cotillion Club. Bob loved to travel and recently traveled around the world. He was well known for his love of music, and a great storyteller.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mackie; and children, Mary Harris Cutting of Eugene, Ore., Jane Cutting Panknin and husband Steven W. of Leawood, Kan., Margaret Neblett and husband Joe of Lynchburg, Va., and Robert Randall and wife Jill Cutting of Fort Smith; grandchildren, Bob, Jerry and John Panknin, Nichols and Parker Neblett, Beth Jerry and husband Terry, Joanna Majka and husband Brian; and four great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sister, Jane Cutting Smith of Memphis; a brother, Dr. William Klusmeier and wife Betty of Fort Smith; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at the First Presbyterian Church under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.

Edwin “ET” Fagan
Edwin “ET” Fagan, 80, of Van Buren died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, in Van Buren. He was a retired iron worker, a 32nd degree Mason and member of Lodge No. 7, a member of Arkansas Shriners and Bethlehem Free Will Baptist Church, and a veteran of the Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Louise of the home; a daughter, Kim Cook and her husband Gary of Van Buren; two sisters, Charlotte Pinedo of Fort Smith and Leola Johnson of Locke; six brothers, Johnny of Van Buren, Bobby of Alma, Jerry of Central City, James of Houston, Doug and Keith, both of Laomi, Ill.; and three grandchildren, Brandy Cook, Laci Eagle and Makayla Eagle, all of Van Buren.
There will be no formal service held, and the body will be cremated. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.

Louise Newman, 82, of Lavaca died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, in Van Buren. She was born June 24, 1922, in Lavaca to Perry and Maude Floyd Chapman. She was the widow of Gerald Newman and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lavaca.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lavaca First Baptist Church with burial at Masles cemetery in Lavaca under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.

Chester Carlson
Chester L. Carlson, 77, of Fort Smith died Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was a retired tool and die supervisor for Whirlpool Corp., a member of and treasurer for the First Nazarene Church of Fort Smith and an Army veteran of World War II. He received the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, the Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the Army Occupation Medal for Japan.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at the U.S. National Chemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; three daughters, Sandra Watkins of Muldrow and Linda Cristee and Cheryl Hixson, both of Fort Smith; two sons, David Carlson of Waxahachie, Texas, and Roger Carlson of Fort Smith; and two sisters, Pearl Brown of Muskegon, Mich., and Gladys Greundal of Holton, Mich.

David F Rands, 35, of Van Buren died Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born Dec. 2, 1968, in Savannah, Ga. He was of the Methodist faith and an Eagle Scout.
