Aubrey Rogers
SANTA MARIA, Calif. — Aubrey “Earl” Rogers, 87, of Santa Maria, Calif., formerly of Paris, died Friday, Dec. 17, 1999, at his residence. He worked in packing sheds, owned a gas station and had a small apartment complex. He was a member of Elizabeth Hall Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years. He was the widower of Rosa Sherrell Rogers and Ora Harrison Lowe Rogers.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Roller Chapel with burial at Elizabeth Hall cemetery in New Blaine.
He is survived by a daughter, Glenda Rogers of Santa Maria; a granddaughter, JoLynda Crowley of Santa Maria; four sisters, Frankie Martin of Ventura, Calif., Lera Swint, Rosemary McCarty and Irene Wooton, all of Springdale; a brother, T.M. of Stockton, Calif.; and two great-grandchildren;
Pallbearers will be Bill and Tony Gandy, Marvin Wiggins, Kelly, Scott and Don Parker.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes. Association.

Brenda Galloway
CLARKSVILLE — Brenda Allison Galloway, 89, formerly of Clarksville died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1999, in a Russellvile nursing home. She graduated from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in 1933 and was a public health nurse in Marion County from 1933 to 1935. She maried in 1935 and returned to Clarksville and served the community as a registered nurse for 30 years. She was the widow of Truman Galloway.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the FIrst United Methodist Church in Clarksville with burial at Oakland cemetery in Clarksville under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home of Clarksville.
She is survived by a son, William of Russellvile; a daughter, Sylvia Butler of Little Rock; a sister, Beatrice Jacks of Monticello; and a grandson, James Bradley Butler, a student at the University of Arkansas.
The family will visit with friends from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 535, Clarksville, AR 72830.

Frank Noe
PARIS — Frank Delana Noe, 66, of Paris died Friday, Dec. 24, 1999, in Paris. He was a heavy equipment operator, a sergeant in the Marine Corps, a Korean War veteran and a member of Paris Christian Center.
Funeral service will be a2 p.m. Tuesday at Paris Christian Center with burial at Oakwood cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home, Paris.
He is survived by his wife, Ida Noe; two daughters, Frankie Lynn Riordan of Paris and Teresa Cole of Paris; a son, Chester of Paris; two sisters, Alma Noe of Arlington, Texas, and Maryann Addis of New York; two brothers, Clarence of Los Angeles and Ricky of Bakersfield, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Tom and Jerry Riordan, Hastings Cale, Charles Jackson, Robert Freeman and Chester Noe.

Edmee Taylor
Edmee Talbert Taylor, 83, of Fort Smith died Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker, a member of First United Methodist Church and a member of the Aldersgate Sunday School Class.
A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church at a later date with burial site to be determined under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Gordon Taylor Sr.; one son, Robert Gordon Taylor II of Houston; and four grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 200 N. 15th St., Fort Smith, AR 72901 or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Lee Johnson
BOONEVILLE — Lee Roy Johnson, 90, of Booneville died Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999, in a Booneville hospital. He was manager of SWEPCO in Booneville for 40 years, a member of the Heritage Addition Church of Christ, the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and served as chief of the Booneville Fire Department for many years.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Heritage Addition Church of Chrsit in Booneville with burial at Oak Hill cemetery in Booneville under the directiuon of Roberts Funeral Home of Booneville.
He is survived by on son, Parker Johnson of Booneville; one sister, May Buxton of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Wayne Johnson, Diane Jarma, Debbie McKenzie and Blake Peebles; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Georgia Stearman
PARKS — Georgia Lee Stearman, 67, of Parks died Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was a homemaker.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Parks Baptist Church with burial at Sehorn cemetery in Winfield under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron.
She is survived by two daughters, Linnie Marie Stearman of Marianna and Florence Jeanette Johnson of Jonesboro; three sons, Lester Dewayne and Alto Stearman both of Parks and William David Stearman of Hartman; one sister, Johanna Bridges of Mountain Pine; one brother, Johnny Robbins of Hot Springs; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 3 p.m until 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Thomas Hurst
SEARCY — Thomas E. Hearst, 36, of Searcy died on Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999, in Searcy. He was an employee of Auto Zone and a Protestant.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Olmstead Chapel with burial at Hess cemetery in Coal Hill under the direction of Olmstead Funeral Home of Heber Springs.
He is survived by mother, Helen Hurst of Wilburn; five sisters, Belinda Beard of Columbia, S.C., Brenda Riggs of Lubbock, Texas, Gail Barraza of Garland, Texas, and Debbie Guevara of San Antonio, Texas; his grandmother, Ruby Hayes of Wilburn; and seven nieces and six nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be Sunday from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Willie Rogers
MAGAZINE — Willie Marie Cravens Rogers, 92, of Magazine died Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999, in Paris. She was a retired school teacher and a member of First United Methodist Church in Magazine.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at United Methodist Church in Magazine with burial at Ellington cemetery in Magazine under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Booneville.
She is survived by three daughters, Emma Kate Rogers Glasgow of Benton, Troyce Mae Rogers Robinson of Ratcliff and Judith Marie Rogers Davis of Paris; three sons, Billy Joe Rogers of Magazine, Harold Wesley Rogers of Pine Bluff and Thomas Edward Rogers of Benton; one sister, Minnell Brewster of Booneville; two brothers, Ray Cravens of Booneville and Byron Cravens of Magazine; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Viewing will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday at Roller Chapel in Booneville.
The family will visit with friends from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday at Roller Chapel in Booneville.

Virgil Hammons
OZONE — Virgil Coy Hammons, 61, of Ozone died Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999, in a Clarksville hospital. He was a retired school superintendent. He was superintendent of the Altus Denning Schools for 17 years, president of the Arkansas Rural Education Association for 11 years and a lobbyist for the rural schools for several years.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Roller Cox Chapel in Clarksville with burial at Oark Cemtery in Ozark under the direction of Roller Cox Funeral Home of Clarksville.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Scroggins; one daughter, Jacky Sparks of Edmond, Okla.; two sons, Coy and Bert Hammons both of Catalpa; one brother, Van Hammons of Eureka, Calif.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Jerrell Lillard, John Tripp, Terry Masingale, Mark Robinson, Armil Curran and William Coe.
The family will vist with friends Sunday from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Roller Cox Funeral Home.

Jackie Wambsgans
Jackie Cameron Wambsgans, 46, of Fort Smith died Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999, in her home. She was a contract specialist for the U.S. government, an award-winning poet, past presdient of the Silver Spring Lions Club, a Sunday school teacher, a volunteer worker at Woodland School and a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Silver Spring, Md.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Ocker Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gill cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by one daughter, Angela Nicole Torres of Washington, D.C.; two sons, Matthew Cameron Wambsgans of the home and David Blair Wambsgans of Washington, D.C.; 10 sisters, Cathy Hall of Tulsa, Linda Preston, Vickie Jones, Gladys Smith, and Sandy Chamberlin all of Fort Smith, Shirley Watkins of Mountainburg, Viringia Runion of Bethalto, Ill., and Betty Mann, Darlene Johnson and Mary Whatley all of Van Buren; three brothers, Floyd Cameron of Alma, Billy Cameron of Fort Smith and Don Cameron of Alabama; and one grandchild, Ashley Nicole Torres of Washington, D.C.
Pallbearers will be John Jones, James Hampton, Darrell Gattis, Will and Justin Cameron and Joaquin Torres.
The family will visit with friends from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday.

David Dobbs
CLARKSVILLE — David Dobbs, 42, of Clarksville died Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a 1975 graduate of Hartman High School.
Graveside service will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Oakland cemetery in Clarksville under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home of Clarksville.
He is survived by one daughter, Leah Dobbs of Clarksville; his parents, Roland and Joyce Ann Dobbs of Clarksville; two sisters, Mary Ann Tucker of Little Rock and Denese Smith of Clarksville; one brother, Wayne Dobbs of Hartman.

Illa Peck
MENA — Illa Christene Peck, 84, of Mena died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, in Mena. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Big Fork Baptist Church.
Graveside service was held 2 p.m. Dec. 23, 1999, at the Pleasant Grove cemetery under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence; one daughter, Sharon Edwards of Big Fork; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were John Lueck, Mike Dumiak, Howard Smith, Jimmy Williams, Roy Chamberlain and Dewayne Turpin.

Harold Housley
MANSFIELD — Harold Douglas Housley, 69, of Mansfield died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, at his home. He retired from aircraft tooling and was a Baptist.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Inglewood Mortuary Chapel of Inglewood, Calif., with burial at Inglewood Park cemetery in Inglewood. Local arrangements are under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron.
He is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn; one daughter, Karen Barnes of Anderson, S.C.; one son, Dennis of Mansfield; one sister, Opal Reed of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; one brother, William of Hawthorne, Calif. and three grandchildren, Katie, Christian and Nathan.

Billy Patterson
MULBERRY — Billy Jerome Patterson, 68, of Mulberry, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1999, in a Van Buren hospital. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the VFW and DAV.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Oak Bower Church with burial at Oak Bower cemetery in Mulberry under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Mulberry.
He is survived by his wife, Lois; one daughter, Doris Kelley of Mulberry; two sons, Gary and Richard, both of Mulberry; his mother, Ocie Patterson of Mulberry; two sisters, Cathy Yancy and Linda Wilson, both of Mulberry; four brothers, Wallace, Roy and Delmer, all of Mulberry and Kenneth of Alma; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Stanley Brake, Derrick Merrell, Ronny and Lydell McCollum, Nathan Brown, Leslie Webb and Phillip Patterson.
