MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Carl “Gene” Owrey, 44, of Memphis died Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999, at his home. He was a driver for Parts Inc.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Memphis Funeral Home, Raleigh Chapel.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; two sons, Michael Pittman and Chris Owrey, both of Memphis; his mother, Mary King of Huntington; four sisters, Sandra Flanagan of Memphis, Sheila and Dede King, both of Huntington and Rhonda Hubbard of Springfield, Mo.; two brothers, Joe Stark of Brighton, Tenn., and Harry King of Southhaven, Miss.; and one grandchild.

Flossie Black
Flossie Mae Black, 89, of Van Buren died Sunday, July 18, 1999, in a local hospital. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ and a homemaker.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren.
She is survived by one sister, Dorothy Willmon of Van Buren; one brother, Floyd Black of Van Buren; one sister-in-law, Alice Black of Van Buren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Eric, Larry, Gary, Jeff, Steven and Eddie Don Black, Jim Willmon and Tommy Garrett.

Bertha Morton
Bertha Rose Morton, 88, of Fort Smith died Sunday, July 18, 1999, in a local hospital.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Fort S mith with burial at Liberty cemetery north of Roland.
She is survived by three daughters, Betty Angus, Joyce Parr and Mary Vanderheiden, all of Fort Smith; one son, J.D. Morton of Fort Smith; one brother, James Allison of Cortez, Colo.; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 10 stepgreat-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and nine stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

Carlean Smith
Carlean C. Smith, 76, of Fort Smith died Thursday, July 15, 1999, in her home. She was a bookkeeper for the Carlsbad, N.M. school system.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Putman Funeral Home Chapel of Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn cemetery of Fort Smith.
She is survived by one daughter, Ophelia Smith of Fort Smith; one son, Robert L. Smith Jr. of Oakland, Calif.; two sisters, Dora Yarbrough of Fort Smith and Virginia Parker of Houston, Texas; and one brother, D.C. Carpenter of Little Rock.
Pallbearers will be David Yarbrough, Steve Parker, David and Michael Carpenter, Gary Ashford and Wayland Parker.

Lois Graham
Lois Francis Graham, 85, of Van Buren died Saturday, July 17, 1999, in a local hospital. She was the widow of Dr. Milton Graham, a member of North Park Baptist Church, a graduate of Central College, and a girls basketball coach in Alma in the 1940s.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by one daughter, Pam Ball of Edmond, Okla.; one son, Dr. Billy Graham of Van Buren; one foster son, Dr. Jerry Lee of Wichita, Kan.; and ten grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Paul Gean, Richard Kline, Allyn Donaubauer, Gary Deffenbaugh, Henry Holton and Charlie Williams.
The family will visit with friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Jimmie Wood
HACKETT — Jimmie Allen Wood, 56, of Hackett died Friday, July 16, 1999, in a local hospital. He retired from the Air Force and Holt Krock Clinic. He attended Unity Assembly of God Church of Fort Smith.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday in Unity Assembly of God Church in Fort Smith with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith with military honors under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; one son Daniel of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and three grandchildren, Megan, Allison and Danielle, all of Fort Wayne.
The body may be viewed from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Unity Assembly of God Church, 7817 Holly Ave., Fort Smith, AR 72903.

CLARKSVILLE — Louise M. Quick, 74, of Clarksville died Thursday, July 15, 1999, in a Clarksville hospital. She was a retied Johnson County Hospital employee.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at East Mount Zion cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home of Clarksville.
She is survived by her husband, Charles; one daughter, Kathy Fredrikson of Longview, Ill.; one son, David of Clarksville; one sister, Rita Anderson of Villa Grove, Ill.; and one grandchild, Regina Fredrikson of Longview, Ill.

Verna Strickland
CLARKSVILLE — Verna Warren Strickland, 84, of Clarksville died Friday, July 16, 1999, in a nursing home. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Clarksville Chapter No. 172 Order of Easter Star. She was a past Worthy Matron of OES, member of Oark Grange and past state secretary of Arkansas State Grange. She was a teacher, retired post master and a member of the Retired Post Master’s Association.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday in Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Oakland cemetery in Clarksville.
She is survived by two daughters, Anna Fern Baskin of Clarksville and Wanda Faye Tolbert of Franklin, Tenn.; one sister, Josphine Baker of Wichita, Kan.; one brother, Jasper N. Case Jr. of Wichita, Kan.; six grandchildren, Kevin and Laura Baskin, both of Wichita, Thad Tolbert of Birmingham, Ala., Paige Tolbert of Franklin, Tenn., Jan Warren of Kansas City, Mo. and Bob Warren of Houston, Texas; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Dollie Hedrick
Dollie Mae Hedrick, 91, of Fort Smith died Saturday, July 17, 1999, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was a homemaker and the widow of Russell J. Hedrick.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday in the Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel of Van Buren with burial at Gregory cemetery in Alma.
She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Jane Profett of Marion, Ind.; two sons, Joe of Fort Smith and Harold of Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Darrell, Russell, Nathan and Bill Gregory and Ryan Herbert.
The family will visit with friends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Elizabeth Blagg Parker
GREENWOOD — Elizabeth Michelle Blagg Parker, infant daughter of Shawn Parker and Mary Blagg of Greenwood, died Thursday, July 15, 1999, in a local hospital.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m Monday at Golden City cemetery near Booneville under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Booneville.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her maternal great-grandparents, Edgar Blagg of Fort Smith and Melba Burrous of Havana; maternal grandparents, Leo and Elma Blagg of Fort Smth; paternal grandparents, Charlie and Sandy Parker of Greenwood and Maurice and Bonnie Steward of Fort Smith; and one sister, Anna Katherine Blagg of the home.

John Craig
HATFIELD — John L. Craig, 68, of Hatfield, formerly of DeQueen, died Friday, July 16, 1999, in a Texarkana hospital. He served in the Korean War, was a telegraph operator for the Kanasas City Southern Railroad and was a professional photographer. He was a member of the Christ’s Church where he served as an Elder, a member of the Order of the Railroad Telegraphers and served on the City Council of Hatfield for 20 years.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday in the Christ’s Church in Cove with burial at Pinecrest Memorial Park under the direction of Hall Funeral Service of Mena.
He is survived by his wife, Johnnie Fay Craig; one son, Kevin of Nashville, Texas; one daughter, Lisa Campbell of Mena; six grandchildren, Terah Stricklin, Coery John Campbell, Andy and Daniel Craig, Tammy Deramus and Daman Campbell; and two great-grandchildren.

James Mosley
James L. “Lutie” Mosley, 74, of Fort Smith died Friday, July 16, 1999, at his home. He retired as vice president of Terminal Operations for Arkansas Best Freight Lines and Henson Industries. He was an Army veteran of World War II who served in the original Stevedore Battalion in Africa and India.
Mosley was All State Football and Basketball at Fort Smith High School and High Point Man in the Arkansas state track meet as a senior, outrunning Clyde Scott. He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas and state tennis doubles champion. A low handicap golfer, he had memberships at Hardscrabble and Fianna Hills Country Clubs in Fort Smith and Diamonte Country Club in Hot Springs Village.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Goddard United Methodist Church with burial at Forest Park cemetery of Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda; two daughters, Rebecca Hernreich of Vail, Colo. and Linda Battisto of Harrison; one stepdaughter, Jeannie Sutton of Fort Smith; one son, Robert Tucker Mosley of Beaufort, S.C.; three stepsons, Bill Srygley Jr. of Russellville, Bob Srygley of Monticello and Rick Srygley of Fort Smith; two sisters, Jane Haley of Fort Smith and Marian Mussett of Midland, Texas; one brother, William B. Mosley of Fort Smith; six grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Okla Ben Smith, Bob Powell, Breck Speed, Roy Holland, Frank Anderson, Bill and Paul Henson, William “Bebo” Slates and Francis Mayhue.
The family will visit with friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mary Moore
WICHITA, Kan. — Mary Juanita Moore, 67, of Wichita, formerly of Paris, died Sunday, July 11, 1999, in Wichita. She was a retired housekeeper for St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Gray Rock cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
She is survived by her husband, David; three daughters, Wilma Black and Lee Etta Moore, both of Wichita and Velda Cherry of Norfolk, Va.; three sons, Donell Moore, Samuel Moore and David Moore Jr., all of Wichita; one sister, Jessie Smith of McAlester, Okla.; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Charlotte Tidwell
Charlotte M. Tidwell, 93, of Van Buren died Thursday, July 15, 1999, in a nursing home. She was a member of Midland Heights United Methodist Church and a retired manager for Barnett Tourist Courts.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Forest Park cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
She is survived by two sons, Carl S. Dyer of Hawaii and James F. Dyer of Oklahoma City; one sister, Nell Walker of Fort Smith; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

COAL HILL — Nathaniel Reese Stricklin, infant son of Jerry Don and Laura Jeane Stricklin of Coal Hill died Thursday, July 15, 1999, in Russellville.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. at Hartman cemetery in Hartman under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home of Clarksville.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Elmer and Veryl Stricklin of Coal Hill and Dale and Kathy Dodge of Hartman; his great-grandparents, Kathryn Stricklin of Coal Hill, Charlene Dodge of Clarksville and Gene and Nancy Strackbein of Hunt; and one brother, Gregory Sheldon Lee Stricklin of the home.
