Pebble Brown
Pebble Brown, 91, of Booneville died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 18, 1913, in Magazine. She was a homemaker, a member of First Baptist Church in Magazine and the widow of W.S. “Bill” Brown.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Magazine with burial at Ellington cemetery in Magazine under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Schneider of Fort Smith and Janice and husband Joe Schneberger of Canute, Okla.; one brother, Dr. Garland and wife Jocille Godfrey of Bella Vista; three grandchildren, Sonya and husband Alan Dixon, Kary and wife Gail Schneberger, and Daren Schneberger; five great-grandchildren, Chasity Welk, Chase Dixon, Clark, Jared and Caleb Schneberger.
Pallbearers will be Meredith Files, Wayne Sudberry, Kary Schneberger, Daren and Alan Schneberger and Joe Riggins. Honorary pallbearers will be Clark Schneberger, Jared Schneberger, B.J. Wingfield, Chase Dixon, Tom Sullivan and Caleb Schneberger.
The body may be viewed from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. today and Friday at Lewis Chapel, and from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Park Edward Dumas
Park Edward Dumas, infant son of Mike and Leah Dumas, entered heaven and the arms of Jesus on Monday, Nov. 22, 2004. Although his days on this earth were few, God used Park to touch the lives of many. He will be missed and never forgotten.
He is survived by his parents, Mike and Leah Dumas of Fort Smith; his brother, Payton Michael Dumas of the home; his paternal grandparents, Freddy and Nancy Dumas of El Dorado; his maternal grandparents, Gene Plyler of Roland and Vickie Bruce of Mount Ida; uncle and aunt, Paul and Susan Dumas of Morrilton, and aunt, Alicia Jill Bruce of Russellville; and two cousins.
Celebration of life will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith, all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Allen Williams, Brent Douglas, Denny Whitley and Mike Carey.
Memorial contributions may be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, P.O. Drawer 2222, Little Rock, AR 72203.

John W. Jones Sr.
John W. Jones Sr., 83, of Van Buren died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, in a local nursing home. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a retired supervisor for Allen Canning Co. Preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Cloy Proctor Jones; two brothers; and one sister.
Funeral will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Lorene Jones of the home; two daughters, Francean Pense and Loretta Hunter, both of Van Buren; three sons, John W. Jones Jr. of Muldrow, Randy Jones of Van Buren, and Billy Jones of Flagstaff, Ariz.; a sister, Francis Baxter of Wynne; a brother, Marvin Jones of Pocola; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Hugh S. Lewers
Hugh S. Lewers, 95, of Alma died Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, in his home. He was born May 9, 1909, in Alma. He was a lifelong resident of Alma, a member of First Presbyterian Church in Alma, a former co-owner of Lewers & Bradley Grocery Store, and retired owner of Lewers Hardware of Alma.
Graveside service will be 3 p.m. Friday at Alma City cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
He is survived by a son, Joe Lee and wife Doris Lewers of Alma; two grandchildren, Lee Lewers of Alma and Deena and husband Billy Winn of the home; and two great-grandchildren, Cassie and Colby Winn of the home.
Pallbearers will be Jan Nordin, Jim Ogilvie, Guy and Tom Wilson, Billy Winn, Earl Owens and Walter Kincy.

Jerry McGrew Sr.
HOUSTON — Jerry S. McGrew Sr., 66, of Houston died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, in Houston. He was born March 7, 1938, in Fort Smith. He was a former employee of Whirlpool and of the Assembly of God faith.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Jan; a daughter, Rebecca Hunter of Van Buren; two sons, Tim Baker of Van Buren and Jerry McGrew II of Houston; his mother, Mary McGrew of Houston; a sister, Connie Polk of Mena; and five grandchildren.
The body may be viewed from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday.

Bessie Whitley
Bessie Whitley, 92, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, in a local hospital. She was a member of Ninth Street Church of Christ and the widow of Lee Whitley.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Ninth Street Church of Christ with burial at Washington cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith.
She is survived by three daughters, Eula Martin of Fort Smith, Evelyn Rochon of Compton, Calif., and Rosie Christor of Little Rock; two sons, William of Fort Smith and John of Houston; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.
The body may be viewed from 1 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Geraldine Casey
CLARKSVILLE — Geraldine F. Casey, 86, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, in Clarksville. She was born Jan. 15, 1918. She was a member of the Hagarville Baptist Church and the widow of Virgil Casey.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville with burial at Hagarville cemetery in Hagarville.
She is survived by a son, Rickey Casey of Clarksville; a sister, Mildred Johnson of Clarksville; and two grandchildren.

Rene Falleur
Rene J. Falleur, 98, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, in a local hospital. He was born June 30, 1906, in Vincennes, Ind. He retired from Harding Glass after 45 years of service and was World War II Army veteran, a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the American Legion Post No. 31.
Rosary will be 6:30 p.m. Friday at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith.
Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial at Holy Cross cemetery in Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be his nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Building Fund, 22 N. 13th, Fort Smith, AR 72901.

Peggy Broach
HATTON — Peggy Ann Broach, 57, of Hatton died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2004, in Lockesburg. She was born March 8, 1947, in Gallup, N.M. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove Church of the Nazarene.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Cove First Baptist Church with burial at Westview cemetery under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
She is survived by her husband, Arnold; a daughter, Tammy Keen of Horatio; a son, Arnold Chad Broach of Plunkettville, Okla.; two sisters, Mary Briggs of Duncan, Ariz., and Pamela Harris of St. Johns, Ariz.; two brothers, Billy Haynie of Truth or Consequences, N.M., and Robert Darby of Grants, N.M.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Carrol Root
Carrol E. “Gene” Root, 78, of Van Buren died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was born Oct. 14, 1926, in Cravens. He was retired from T.J. Smith Box Co., a World War II Navy veteran and a Baptist.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Gill cemetery in Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Zoleta; a daughter, Carolyn Heard of Little Rock; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mike Guthrie, Ray Pittman, Doc Elliff, Bill Grill, Rudy Winborn, Jim Thompson and Bill Randolph.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Arkansas Sheriff’s Youth Ranch.

Hazel Trosper
REDLAND — Hazel Ryan Trosper, 83, of Redland died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, in Roland. She was born June 1, 1921, in Redland. She was a homemaker, a seamstress for Ayer Furniture Factory and of the Pentecostal faith.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Muldrow with burial at Redland cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, Anna Keith of Muldrow; a son, Joe Trosper of Redland; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jackie and Gerald Irvin, Jim House, Jason Qualls, Rick Khilling and Ronnie Wool.
The body may be viewed from 9 a.m. to noon Friday.

Mary Grotts
Mary Grotts, 67, of Van Buren died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, in a local retirement center. She was a retired certified nursing assistant, a member of First Assembly of God in Van Buren and the widow of Jack Grotts.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Sarah Grove cemetery in Figure Five.
She is survived by two daughters, Yvonne Sotelo of Phoenix and Carol White of Sulfur Springs, Texas; two sisters, Dorothy Russell of Rudy and Charlene Adamson of Fort Smith; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Johnny and Bill Pendergrass, Robert and David Adamson, Ronnie and Doyle Webb.

Martha Lee Dukes
Martha Lee Dukes, 73, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, in her home. She was a retired employee of O.K. Foods.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Ocker Memorial Chapel with burial at Woodland Memorial Park in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by her husband, James Dukes of the home; two daughters, Sharon Mahan of Fort Smith and Martha Dehart of Mustang, Okla.; five sons, James Dukes Jr. of Alma, John and Trey Dukes, both of Fort Smith, Jack Dukes of Phoenix and Jessie Dukes of Snowflake, Ariz.; three sisters, Evelyn Washburn and Maudie Miller, both of Phoenix, and Mary Best of Shelbyville, Tenn.; two brothers, John Farrow of Phoenix and Donny Farrow of Shelbyville, Tenn.; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Dehart Jr., Randy Dehart, and Jim, Jerry, John and Jack Dukes.

Diana Sellers Tugg
Diana Sellers Tugg, 44, of Van Buren died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, in Brinkley. She was a homemaker and a member of Catcher Freewill Baptist Church.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. today at Gill cemetery Arbor in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by her husband, Wilburn Tugg of Van Buren; a daughter, Kristie Hile of Fort Smith; two sons, Michael Sellers of Fort Smith and Randy Alan Sellers of Van Buren; her mother, Martha Howard of Van Buren; a brother, Robert James Howard of Van Buren; and seven grandchildren.

Margie Wilson
Margie Wilson, age 69, loving mother, wife and grandmother, died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born Nov. 8, 1934, in Mulberry to Azo Nichols and Vidia (Pruitt). She was a homemaker and a Pentecostal.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with burial at cemetery Ridge cemetery in Ozark, with the Rev. Pat Wilson officiating.
She is survived by her husband, James Wilson of Van Buren; daughters, Brenda Hamilton and husband Nooch of Fort Smith, Susan Barnes and husband Aubry of Ozark, and Carolyn Robinson of Ozark; sons, Charles Wilson of Ozark, Jimmy Wilson of Fort Smith, and Bobby Wilson of Webb City; a sister, Ruby Hefner of Van Buren; a brother, Carl Wayne Nichols of Los Angeles; grandchildren, Joshua Barnes, Tuesday Brown, Shareef Brown, Chris Barnes, Tina Barnes, Sean Barnes, Amanda Thomas, Guin Thomas, Sherry Barnes, Joseph Barnes, Macie Wilson, Joseph Cole, Jennifer Howard, Dion Cole and Bobby Wilson Jr.; great-grandchildren, Myshael Brown, Jasmine White, Xavier Brown, Blane McGee, Kaden Hodge, Cheyenne Howard and Katelyn Howard; and more loving family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Charles Wilson, Shareef Brown, Joseph Cole, Guin Thomas Jr., Don Ragains, Tuesday Brown and Gary Vickers.
The family will visit with friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
