Barbara M. Klenke Foster
Barbara M. Klenke Foster, age 71, of Greensboro, Ga., died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at her residence. She was born Aug. 3, 1933, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late John Klenke and Hermine B. Dunker Klenke. She attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fort Smith.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Richard H. Foster of Greensboro; three daughters, Catherine Kirkpatrick and husband Dennis of Manhattan Beach, Calif., Toni Dally and husband Mark of Blakeslee, Pa., and Linda Neville and husband Greg of Edmond, Okla.; a son, Richard Foster II of Oklahoma City; a sister, Joan Klenke of Leeds, Ala.; five grandchildren, Casey Kirkpatrick, Ashley and Shannon Dally and Jason and Trevor Neville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Committal service will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Columbarium with a memorial service 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
Raymond Lee “PaPa” Beecham
Raymond Lee “PaPa” Beecham, 85, of Greenwood died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, in a local hospital. He was born March 23, 1919, in Lexington, Tenn. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II, a retired machinist and a member of the First Baptist Church in Greenwood. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Miranda Beecham; one brother, George; and four sisters, Beulah Pendergraft, Eula Martin, Marie Gilliam and Alta Wagner.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Dawson cemetery in Milltown under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
He is survived by his wife, Derema Beecham of the home; two daughters, Darlene and husband Carl Grandstaff and Jeannine Walker of Greenwood; a brother, Ed Beecham of Eurich, Mo.; four grandchildren, Richy and T. Ray Grandstaff, Scott Walker and Karen Aspinwall; and seven great-grandchildren, Kristin and Will Grandstaff, Tanner, Molly, Maggy and Landry Grandstaff and Cody Smith. PaPa loved to walk and garden and took care of all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Richy and Will Grandstaff, T. Ray Grandstaff, Scott Walker, Chris Aspinwall, Gary Gilliam and Paul Goldsmith.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Jack D. Meadors
Jack D. Meadors, 83, of Fayetteville died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, in an area hospital.
He was born June 12, 1921, in Dean Springs, the son of Boe and Lema Cole Meadors.
Jack and his brother Buddy Meadors founded J&B Auto in Prairie Grove in 1957. They sold the business in 1986 and Jack continued to work part-time until 2000. He was an Army Signal Corps veteran as a radio operator and served during the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the American Legion and a charter member of the North Street Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Joy Sangster Meadors; a brother, Buddy Meadors and his wife Ruth of Dean Springs; and sisters-in-law Modell Pair and her husband Paul W. of Fort Smith and Pauline Rogers and her husband Ralph, all of Fort Smith. He is also survived by six nephews, Nick Meadors and wife Lynda and Mike Meadors and his wife Pat, all of Alma, John Sangster and wife Diane of Salem, Ore., Herschel Sangster and wife Mary Ann of Keizer, Ore., Murphy Pair and wife Carol of Prairie Grove and Randy Rogers and wife Terri of Eureka Springs; one niece, Karan Smith and husband James of Alma; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be noon Monday at North Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville with John Gay officiating.
Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. at Bolton cemetery in Dean Springs under the direction of Moore’s Chapel of Fayetteville.
Visitation without the family present will be 2 to 6 p.m. today at Moore’s Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Children’s Home, 5515 Old Walcott Road, Paragould, AR 72450; or a favorite charity.
Margaret Schmitz
Margaret Schmitz, 92, of Charleston died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, in Charleston. She was a homemaker, a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Charleston and St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Scranton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Schmitz; and one son, James Leo Schmitz.
Rosary will be 7 p.m. Monday at Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Scranton with burial at St. Ignatius cemetery in Scranton under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
She is survived by a daughter, Rose Anna and husband Lewis Dunn of Fort Smith; two sons, Wilfred George Schmitz of Charleston and Robert Joseph and wife Dorothy Schmitz of Stroud, Okla.; three sisters, Lucille Pfeiffer of Paris, Geneva Lasiter of Fort Smith and Dorothy Seville of Ballwin, Mo.; a brother, Johnny Spellins of Subiaco; nine grandchildren, Alan and Randy Schmitz of Tulsa, Okla., Debbye Johns of Moore, Okla., Patty Miller of Stroud, Susie Harrison of New Braunfels, Texas, Nancy Smith of Fort Smith and Dr. James, Gary and Scott Schmitz, all of Charleston; 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren.

Helen S. Miller
Helen S. Miller, age 83, of Fort Smith passed away Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004, in Mankato, Minn. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fort Smith and worked at Arnolds Beauty Supply in Fort Smith for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Miller, and one son, Clause William Miller.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with burial at the U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
She is survived by one daughter, Christine Giesler and her husband Duane of Mankato; one sister, Elfriede Geipel of Germany; three grandchildren, Carrie Quackenbush, Debbie Heuer and Mark Miller; and three great-grandchildren.
Family visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Fentress Mortuary.

NATURAL DAM — Zeffie Mae Cook, 81, of Natural Dam died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004, in a local hospital. She attended Independence Free Will Baptist Church and was a lifelong resident of Crawford County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charley.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Independence Free Will Baptist Church with burial at Hall cemetery in Natural Dam under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by a daughter, Eunice Foulk of Van Buren; a son, Ronald Cook of Natural Dam; three sisters, Bonnie Tipton of Alma, Arline Mongold of Cedarville and Geneva Bowen of Rogers; a brother, Jeff Moses of Kibler; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Beaver, Jay Moses, Clifford Mongold, Luther Mongold, Steve Moses and Jessie Moses.

LAVACA — Clarice L. Davis, 91, of Lavaca died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, in Charleston. She was a member of Cecil United Methodist Church and had worked as a nursing aide at Greenhurst. She was the widow of Walter Davis.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Smith Mortuary Chapel with burial at Garden of Memories in Charleston under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Spencer of Lavaca; a son, Billy Davis Sr. of Mulberry; two sisters, Marie Teague of Charleston and Bonnie Rushing of Pixley, Calif.; two brothers, J.B. Ballard of Porterville, Calif., and Earnest Ballard of Tipton, Calif.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Tabitha Nichols, 13, of Van Buren died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, in Little Rock.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fort Smith with burial at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
She is survived by her parents, Tammy and John Nichols of the home; a sister, Alexandria Nichols of the home; two brothers, Cory and Jonathan Nichols of the home; paternal grandmother Rachel Nichols of Horseshoe Bend; maternal grandparents Bill and Mary Wind of Golden, Colo., and Linda and Jay Crow of Allison, Colo.; and maternal great-grandmother Pat Perez of Wheatridge, Colo.

Sue Hodge, 69, of Van Buren died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was the widow of Thomas Hodge.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hughes cemetery in Forrest City under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home of Forrest City.
She is survived by two sisters, Ruby Brooks of Van Buren and Shirley Hamilton of Sugarloaf Lake; five brothers, Billy Fortson of Atlanta, Charles Fortson of Sugarloaf Lake, Earl Fortson of Barnsville, Ga., Ronnie Fortson of Leachville and Randall Fortson of Hornersville, Mo.

HON — Teddy Charles Johnson, 63, of Hon died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, in his home He was retired from Breeden Dodge as a paint and body man.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Hon Baptist Church with burial at Hon cemetery under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron.
He is survived by four daughters, Sandra Stewart of Sapulpa, Okla.; Sherry Johnson of Hutchinson, Kan., and Stacy Standridge and Julie Williams, both of Waldron; six sons, Ronald Thomas of Sapulpa, Danny Johnson of Huntington, Mike Johnson of Hutchinson, Mike Atchley of Waldron, Jeff Atchley of Barling and David Johnson of Greenwood; a sister, Kitty Battershell of Hutchinson; a brother, Jerry Johnson of Hutchinson; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

SPRINGDALE — Kenneth Melton Pschier, 62, of Springdale died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, in a hospital. He was born July 8, 1942, in Greenwood. He was a roofing contractor and estimator and a member of Temple Baptist Church in Springdale.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Temple Baptist Church in Springdale with burial at the U.S. National cemetery in Fayetteville under the direction of Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.
He is survived by his wife, Neva; two daughters, Kena Todd and Tonya Peters, both of Springdale; two sons, James Redpath of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Michael Redpath of Canton, Ohio; four sisters, Beverly Otwell of De Leone, Texas, Sharon Farrar of Greenwood and Janice Edwards and Betty Dime, both of Springdale; three brothers, Bill Pschier of Greenwood and Ronnie and Bobby Pschier, both of Fort Smith; and 11 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Pschier, Johnny Baker, Gene Vanderboom, Wayne Scoggins, Joe Taylor, Dr. Charlie Kelly and Steve and Todd Dime.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the family being present from 5 to 7 p.m.
Park Edward Dumas
Park Edward Dumas, infant son of Mike and Leah Dumas, entered heaven and the arms of Jesus on Monday, Nov. 22, 2004. Although his days on this earth were few, God used Park to touch the lives of many. He will be missed and never forgotten.
He is survived by his parents, Mike and Leah Dumas of Fort Smith; his brother, Payton Michael Dumas of the home; his paternal grandparents, Freddy and Nancy Dumas of El Dorado; his maternal grandparents, Gene Plyler of Roland and Vickie Bruce of Mount Ida; uncle and aunt, Paul and Susan Dumas of Morrilton, and aunt, Alicia Jill Bruce of Russellville; and two cousins.
The Celebration of life will be today at 2 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith, all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Truman Brown, 98, of Van Buren died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004, in a Fayetteville hospital. He was a retired furniture worker for Kay Chair Co. in Fort Smith and attended First Assembly of God in Van Buren. He is preceded in death by a wife, Maggie.
He is survived by his wife, Edna of the home; four stepdaughters, Shelba Brooks, Judy Eisenhower, Yvonne Prescott and Della Goins, all of Van Buren; four stepsons, John and Gerald Mills of Uniontown, David Mills of Bonanza and Daniel Mills of Van Buren; one sister, Phyllis Hendrix of Stilwell, Okla.; two brothers, James Brown of Pocola and Noah Brown of Kingman, Ariz.; 28 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a nephew, Bill Vickery of Van Buren; several other nieces and nephews.
