Lila Bell Snow

IMBODEN -- Lila Bell Snow, 78, of Imboden died Saturday, Sept. 10, at her residence.

Born at Inboden, she was a homemaker.

Survivors include three sons, Jack Snow of Oswego, Ill., Rick Snow of Black Rock and Jody Snow of Yorkville, Ill.; four daughters, Bonnie Sue Mszorowicz of Canton, Mich., Nancy Gossett of Paragould, Rose Mary Baldridge of Newport and Suzanne Childers of Redford, Mich.; a brother, Charles Dickson of Imboden; six sisters, Ruby Lawrence, Wilma Trenholm, Velma Gore, Lennie Fortson and Gladys Malone, all of Imboden, and Melba Cooper of Memphis; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by three sons, Charles Snow, Michael Snow and Roger Snow; and her parents, William Jack Dickson and Elsie Amanda Dent Snow.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at McNabb Funeral Home of Pocahontas, with Linnie Finney officiating. Burial will be in Dent Cemetery at Imboden.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Russell Thompson Jr.

BLYTHEVILLE -- Russell Wilson "R.W." Thompson Jr., 63, of Blytheville, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

Born at Hughes, he was a farm laborer and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma Sharp Thompson, of the home, a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Thompson of Dell; a son, Jesse Thompson of Haines City, Fla.; a grandchild, Rachelle Smith of Fla.; a great-grandchild, Lindsey Dehaven of Florida; three sisters, Mayris Cordoza of Florida, Barbara Sue Sharp of Alabama and Annie Lee Booker of Halls, Tenn.; and three brothers, Thomas James Thompson of Dell, William Joseph Thompson of Florida, and Finis Allen Thompson of Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell Wilson Sr. and Hattie Lee Booker Thompson.

Wilson Funeral Home of Blytheville is in charge of arrangements.

Ronnie Wall

BROOKLAND -- Ronnie Mack Wall, 50, of Brookland, died Sunday, Sept. 11, at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born at Jonesboro, he was a farmer and a cattle rancher.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Sue Lammers Wall of the home; a son, Adam Christopher Wall of Brookland; a daughter, Angie Nicole Ivy of Brookland; a grandchild, Tyler Christopher Wall of Brookland; a brother, Terry Lynn Wall of Brookland; and two sisters, Linda Grimes of Brookland and Mary Lammers of New Johnsonville, Tenn.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Roller-Farmers Union Chapel in Jonesboro, with Mike Smith officiating. Burial will be at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland. Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro is in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers will be David Head, Sam Meisner, Ricky Elder, Skeeter Meaders, Randy Adams, Terry Grimes, Roger Bobo and Dennis Lamberth.

Honorary pallbearers will include close friends.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1599 Clifton Road, NE, Atlanta 30329.

Alma Jo Allen

JONESBORO -- Alma Jo Allen, 84, of Jonesboro, died Thursday, Sept. 22 at St. Elizabeth's Place in Jonesboro.

Born at Jonesboro, she lived in California before moving back to Jonesboro 16 years ago.

She was a homemaker and member of First United Methodist Church.

There are no immediate survivors.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman J. Allen.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Russell Hull officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. today at the cemetery.

Louise Norman Burrow

HOT SPRINGS -- Louise Norman Burrow, 83, of Hot Springs died Thursday, Sept. 22, at Little Rock.

She grew up on the Spring River at Hardy and lived at Hot Springs for 47 years. She was a graduate of Hendrix College. She served as the president of the Garland County Medical Auxiliary, as chairperson of the Board of the Hot Springs YWCA, and as a member of the Ozark Society, the Arkansas Native Plant Society and the Audubon Society. She was a deacon and elder at First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Linda Van Hook of Little Rock, Barbara Deuschle of Hot Springs, Holly Farrell of Dallas, and Sally Simpson of Hot Springs; two sons, Tommy Burrow of Hot Springs and Jim Burrow of Little Rock; sixteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Thomas E. Burrow; her parents, Henry and Miriam Buford Norman; and three brothers.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Buford Family Cemetery on Wahpeton Hill at Hardy followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church in Hot Springs. Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Hardy is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Hendrix College, 1800 Harkrider, Conway, Ark. 72032; the Arkansas Nature Conservancy, 601 N. University, Little Rock, Ark. 72205; or the Burn Unit at Arkansas Children's Hospital, 800 Marshall St., Little Rock, Ark. 72202.

Mary Ella Coe

NEWPORT -- Mary Ella Coe of Newport died Friday, Sept. 23, at Newport.

She was director of the Jackson County Office of Aging for many years and a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kirk and Delcie Taylor Coe.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Walnut Grove Cemetery with Jackson Funeral Home of Newport in charge of arrangements.

Peggy Griffith

Homemaker

LODI, Calif. -- Peggy Griffith, 60, of Lodi, Calif., formerly of Newport, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, at Lodi.

Born in Arkansas, she was a homemaker and a member of Newport Church of God.

Survivors include a son, Tim Griffith of Newport; three sisters, Dorothy Shah of Lodi, Calif., Sheila Inhenger of Orville, Calif., and Wilma Smith of California; a stepsister, Virginia Schock of Liveoak, Calif.; three stepbrothers, Johnny Huff of Marysville, Calif., and Carl Huff and Ted Huff, both of Arizona; and a granddaughter, Amber Lynn of Alaska.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Newport Church of God, with Calvin Querry officiating. Burial will be in Watson Cemetery under the direction of Dillinger Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Cassandra R. Hightower

EVENING SHADE -- Cassandra Renee Hightower, 20, of Evening Shade died Thursday, Sept. 22, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.

Born at Benton, she was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Bruce Hightower of the home; a son, Jacob Hunter Hightower of the home; her mother and stepfather, Geraldine Renee and Calvin Paul McDaniel of Idaho; her father, Lynn Grafe of Benton; two brothers, Frank Edward Pockrus of Evening Shade and Jeremy Lynn Grafe of Benton; a sister, Ivy Elizabeth Grafe of Benton; her maternal grandparents, Frank and Betty Pritchard of Evening Shade; and her paternal grandparents, Bernard and Wanda Grafe of Benton.

She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Jeff and Adell Samples.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Qualls Funeral Home in Cave City. Burial will follow in Bacon Cemetery at Evening Shade.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Hightower, Jason Ivy, Daniel Farrier, Donald Hightower, Eddie Pockrus and Jeff Hightower.

Earnest L. Ingle

JONESBORO -- Earnest L. Ingle, 61, of Jonesboro died Thursday, Sept. 22, at his residence.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
