She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Lee Stiles; four daughters, Debra Downing, Terri Diane Downing and Carolyn Sue Downing, all of Dallas and Shirley Frost of Fort Smith; one son, Ronnie B. Downing of Pampa, Texas; one sister, Marie Barker of Boles; three brothers, Harvey Langley of Pottsville, George Langley of Havana and Donald Joe Langley of Fort Smith; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Elsie Freeman
MAGAZINE Elsie Dock Freeman, 92, of Magazine died Sunday, June 18, 2000, in Magazine. He retired from the railroad.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Enid cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home of Enid, Okla. Local arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Booneville.
He is survived by one daughter, Norma Dichard of Nacogdoches, Texas; two sons, Leon of Magazine and Colin of Enid; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Mike and Herb Freeman, Marty, Chris and Bradley Dichard and Noah Straton.
Helen Scott
Helen Louise Scott, 77, of Van Buren died Monday, June 19, 2000, in a local hospital. She was a homemaker and the widow of Randolph Scott. She was a member of the Rena Road Church of Christ.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel of Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren.
She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Wells and Becky Scott, both of Van Buren and Linda Perkins of Duluth, Ga.; one son, Randy Scott of Van Buren; one brother, Jack Matthews of Fort Smith; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Steve Marion, John Lowery, Tim Jones, Kevin Pixley, Shaloa Edwards and Troy Gregory.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Van Buren.
Flora Freeman
COVE CITY COMMUNITY Flora Freeman, 85, of the Cove City Community died Sunday, June 18, 2000, at her home. She was a homemaker and member of Shamrock Community Church. She was a lifelong resident of Crawford County.
Funeral will be 4 p.m. Thursday at Shamrock Community Church with burial at Hall cemetery in Natural Dam under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by her husband, George L. Freeman; two daughters, Norma Payne and Barbara Pearson, both of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two sons, Cecil Freeman and J.L. Freeman, both of Cove City; two sisters, Katy Watson of Tacoma, Wash. and Delene Pannel of Texas; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Rick, Chris, Benjamin, Neal and Perry Freeman, Nicholas Volz II, David Payne and Nicholas Volz.
Jack Hurst
STIGLER Jack Hurst, 85, of Stigler died Monday, June 19, 2000, in Stigler. He was the widower of Sina Mae Hurst.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today in Mallory Funeral Home Chapel of Stigler with burial at Sans Bois cemetery in Kinta.
He is survived by four daughters, Ethel Sue Warren, Virginia Lee McClung, Glenda Hotson and Phyllis Kay Mayhall; one son, Gary; two sisters, Juanita Cantrell and Leota Bryce; two brothers, Leonard and Claudy; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be at the funeral home in Stigler.
Ruth Caldwell
GREENWOOD Ruth Ellen Caldwell, 81, of Greenwood died Monday, June 19, 2000, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was a housewife and member of Philadelphia Church of God.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cross cemetery in Greenwood under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse; four daughters, Ruthie Sweeten, Joy Hewett and Judy Hicks, all of Greenwood and Jeanie Schroyer of Booneville; one brother, Clyde Scott of Booneville; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Viewing will be from 12 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Greenwood.
Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren.

James Coleman
PLANO, Texas James R. Coleman, 47, of Plano died Sunday, June 18, 2000. He graduated from the University of Arkansas and was a chemical engineer at Arco for 25 years.
Rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Wednesday in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel of Fort Smith. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Church of the Immaculate Conception of Fort Smith. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated June 26, 2000, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton of Plano.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy; two children, Kristin and Carrie Coleman; mother, Mildred Coleman of Fort Smith; and two brothers, Ray of New York and Kenneth of Fort Smith.

Robert Bray
Robert Andy Bray, 81, of Fort Smith died Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, in a local hospital. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II, a Shriner and a Baptist. He was a 32 degree member of Belle Point Lodge No. 20 in Mesa, Ariz.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Faith Assembly of God, with a Masonic graveside service and burial at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Lodeama Martin Bray; four daughters, Wynona Estes of Mesa, Donna Jean LaClair and Deborah McGrew, both of Fort Smith, and Brenda S. Bell of Pocola; one son, Bobby D. Bray of Mesa; one sister, Florence Armstrong of San Jose, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chris McGrew, Bobby Bell, Darrell LaClair, Troy McElroy, Brad Syrok, Adam Selby, Robby Bray and Dan Bader.

Conny Staton
LAVACA Conny Bruce Staton, 64, of Lavaca died Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, at his home. He graduated from high school in Fort Smith, earned NCARB and Arkansas architectural license in 1972. He was also licensed to practice architecture in Oklahoma and Kansas and was a partner in architecture with Edwin Drimmel. He was with the 188th Air National Guard for 12 years and served with the 875th Engineer Aviation. He was a member, Sunday School teacher and church training leader of First Baptist Church of Lavaca.
Funeral was Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Lavaca, with burial at Lavaca City cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Lavaca.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; two daughters, Marla K. Staton of Memphis, Tenn., and Cynthia A. Coleman of Ozark; three sons, Mark E. Williams of Lavaca, Michael B. Staton of Collierville, Tenn., and Fred A. Williams of Fort Smith; his father, Grady D. Staton; two sisters, Marcelle Kesner and Veta Hill, both of Fort Smith; and 12 grandchildren, Benjamin, Brittney, Jennifer and Abby Staton, Ryan and Bruce Mort, Ashley and T.J. Coleman, Greg, Christy, Maegan and Niki Williams.
Pallbearers will be Steve, David and Brent Kesner, Brian Nix, Keith and Kelly Baggett, Sean Gould, David Emmons and Mike Craig.
Honorary pallbearers will be First Baptist Church of Lavaca, co-ed 8 Sunday School class, which Bruce and Ann had taught.

MENA Holly I. Harshman, 91, of Mena died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, in Mena. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mena.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church of Mena, with burial at the Pinecrest Memorial Park under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Oscar Gellein of Golden, Colo.; one brother, Frank Harshman of Blytheville; one niece, the Rev. Linda Sue Gertenbach of Boulder, Colo.; and two nephews, John Harshman and Jeff Nicholson, both of Blytheville.

Funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday in the Mount Hope Community Building, north of Charleston, with burial at Mount Hope cemetery, north of Charleston, under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.
She is survived by two daughters, Billie Abshere of Fort Smith and Phyllis Abshere of Van Buren; one son, Tommy Francis of Lavaca; two sisters, Freda Stubblefield and Zeta Brown, both of Charleston; nine grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Viola Faye Hopper, 70, of Van Buren died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2000, in a local hospital. She attended the New Home Community Church. She retired as an executive secretary from Citizens Bank and Trust Company.
