OZARK — Allan A. Bennett, 69, of Ozark died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1999 in Ozark. He was a laborer for a paper mill.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. today at Highland cemetery in Ozark under the direction of Shaffer Funeral home of Ozark.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Mae Bennett; five sisters, Iva Gracy of Napa, Calif., Linda Lott and Geraldine Cagle, both of Ozark, Flora Mae Jones of Phoenix, Ariz., and Louise Schue of Mesa, Ariz.; three brothers, Jay Bennett of Gilbert, Ariz., Harold Bennett of Ozark and Joe Bennett of Alix.
Pallbearers will be Jerry, Jimmy and Sam Collins and Billy O’Neal.

Ernest Chastain
GREENWOOD — Ernest William Chastain, 87, of Greenwood died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 1999, at his home. He was a retired federal employee and an Army veteran of World War Il. He was a member and Sunday school teacher at Greenwood First Assembly of God, a member of Harris-Hannah VFW Post No. 6527 in Greenwood and a member of the American Legion.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline Chastain; a daughter, Helen Vincent of Muldrow; five sons, Paul Chastain of Fort Smith, Joe Chastain of Greenwood, Jim Chastain and Bob Chastain, both of Van Buren, and Ron Chastain of Roland; 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
The body may be viewed from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family will visit with friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Hansell McElroy
OZARK — Hansell McElroy, 90, of Ozark died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 1999, at his home. He was a retiree from the Assessment Coordination Division of the State of Arkansas, a veteran of World War II in the Pacific, an Army sergeant and served eight years as Franklin County Clerk. He was a merchant in Ozark for 18 years and one of the oldest members of Ozark First United Methodist Church.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Ozark First United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Highland cemetery in Ozark under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
He is survived by his wife, Mae McElroy; three daughters, Shirley Bell of Monticello, Charlene Creech of Jonesboro and Elizabeth Ann Hall of Little Rock; two sons, John McElroy of Texarkana, Texas, and David McElroy of Barling; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lloyd Rausher, Jack Morton, Wallace Alston, Vernon McDaniel, Ed Milton and Bill Hudspeth.

Jerry Lindsey
CLARKSVILLE — Jerry Lee Lindsey, 45, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1999, at his home.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Holman cemetery in Lamar under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home of Clarksville.
He is survived by his mother, Marie Lindsey of Clarksville; his grandmother, Ora Shatwell of Clarksville; three sisters, Janie Kirby of Blytheville, and Paula Cleveland and Donna Lambert, both of Gosnell; three brothers, Eddie Lindsey, Freddie Lindsey and Michael Lindsey, all of Clarksville.
Pallbearers will be Duane Baubilt, Bobby Thomas, James Chandler, Chris Kirby, Robin Williams and Eddie Lindsey Jr.
The family will visit with friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mack Wilkerson
Mack Allister Wilkerson, 72, of Van Buren died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 1999, in a local hospital. He was a retired welder.
Cremation is under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Lula Wilkerson; two daughters, Maxine Wilkerson of Tulsa and JoAnn Moore of Washington; two sons, Randy Wilkerson and Michael Wilkerson, both of Van Buren; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Luster Perrin
Luster D. Perrin, 81, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, June 20, 2001, in a local hospital. He was retired from U.S. Forge Crafts and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Rose Lawn cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Jewel; two daughters, Dorothy Jarancik of Alma and Martha Floyd of Muldrow; a sister, Pat Crepe of Silver City, N.M.; a brother, Johnnie Perrin of Deming, N.M.; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Lynn Gandy
Lynn Gandy, 80, of Fort Smith, formerly of Charleston, died Tuesday, June 19, 2001, in Fort Smith. He was born October 7, 1920, in Dardanelle. He was a a farmer and a Baptist.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Nixon cemetery in Charleston under the direction of Smith Mortuary, Inc. of Charleston.
He is survived by two brothers, Kenneth Gandy of Fort Smith and Jerry Gandy of Pocola.
The body may be viewed 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Martha Gammon
ARLINGTON, VA. — Martha Winters Gammon, 86, of Washington, D.C., formerly of Fort Smith, died Friday, June 8, 2001, in Arlington, Va. She received her bachelor’s degree from George Washington University in Washington and her master’s degree in library science from Catholic University of America in Washington. She was a retired school librarian at Oak Ridge Elementary School in Arlington and a member of Mount Vernon Methodist Church. She was the widow of W. Howard Gammon.
She is by three sons, Robert Gammon of University Park, Md., Richard Gammon of Seattle and Lawrence E. Gammon of Houston; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Bill Galleguillos
OZONE — Bill Galleguillos, 78, of Van Buren died Wednesday, June 20, 2001, in Ozone. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a retired auto mechanic and a Catholic.
The body will be cremated under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren. The cremains will be interred in Fort Smith National cemetery on a later date.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen, and four sons, Robert Galleguillos of Ozone, Leo Galleguillos of Fresno, Calif., Ruben Galleguillos of Morgan Hill, Calif., and Kim Galleguillos of Stockton, Calif.

Lillian Boatright
PORTERVILLE, CALIF. — Lillian Eunice Boatright, 86, of Porterville, Calif., died Wednesday, June 20, 2001, in Porterville. She was born April 11, 1915, in Cecil. She was a homemaker and attended Faith Baptist Church in Strathmore, Calif.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Faith Baptist Church in Strathmore. The body will be cremated under the direction of Myers Funeral Service of Porterville.
She is survived by her husband, Ray; a daughter, Joyce Duncan of Porterville; a son, Jim Boatright of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Alva Foster of Keota and Ruth Powell of Van Buren; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Mary Henderson
CLARKSVILLE — Mary C. “Kate” Henderson, 95, of Scranton, died Wednesday, June 20, 2001 in Clarksville. She was a homemaker and a member of United Methodist Church.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Dublin Freewill Baptist Church with burial at Wares Chapel cemetery in Scranton under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
She is survived by one brother, Ewell Henderson of Scranton; two nephews, Joe Henderson of Fort Smith and Jim Henderson of Scranton; three great nephews, Jeff Henderson of Booneville, Scott Henderson of Russellville and Glen Henderson of Greenwood; two great nieces, Karen Henderson of Fayetteville and Liz Porter of Paris.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

James Hull
PORTLAND, ORE. — James S. Hull, 68, of Portland, Ore. died Wednesday, June 13, 2001, in his home. He was born March 2, 1933, in Little Rock and graduated from Fort Smith High School and Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. He was a school teacher and coach at Booneville High School and worked as a project manager for Western Geophysical, Kaiser Aluminum and J.A. Jones Construction.
He is survived by his wife, Nati, and daughter, Paula Hull, both of Portland, Ore.; three sons, David Burdue of Fort Smith, Jeff Burdue of Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Joel Burdue of Portland, Ore., and two grandchildren.

Henry Milam Jr.
GREENWOOD — Henry Grady Milam Jr., 82, of Greenwood died Thursday, June 21, 2001 in his home. He was a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Post Office, a Baptist and an avid hunter and fisherman. He also was retired from the 188th Fighter Wing Air National Guard of Fort Smith, a retired agriculture teacher and bus driver for Greenwood Schools and a Army veteran of World War II.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Gilliam cemetery in Greenwood, under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Nell, of the home; one daughter, Suzanne Dacus of Greenwood; one son, Thomas C. Milam of Greenwood; three sisters, Vida Lee Frazier of Enid, Okla., Lahoma Edwards of Greenwood and Jane Robinson of Cedarville; two brothers, Dorsey P. Milam of Kibler and Billy G. Milam of Clarksville; three grandchildren, Wesley Milam, Kerri Jo Flemming and Dustin Dacus.
The body may be viewed from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Maggie Lovett, 91, of Mulberry died Monday, June 18, 2001, in Ozark. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Mulberry. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Roy Lovett, and a son, Soloman Walter Lovett Jr.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. Thursday in the First Assembly of God Church in Mulberry with burial at New cemetery in Mulberry under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Aline Davenport of Kansas City, Kan.; a son, Albert Lovett of Mulberry; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Michael Roger Pringnitz
Michael Roger Pringnitz “Smiley” entered this life on Sept. 19, 1973. He departed this life into the arms of Jesus on June 16, 2001.
Mike was and always will be the most loving and wonderful son, brother and friend. He always gave of himself unselfishly and unconditionally to all of his family and friends. Michael loved life and enjoyed his family and friends every day of his life.
Funeral services were Wednesday in Backstrom-Pyaette Funeral Home in Springdale.
A memorial service to celebrate Mike’s life will be held 7 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Goddard United Methodist Church in Fort Smith, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
Michael is survived by his mother and stepfather, Mary and Sherman Hicks of Hackett, his father, Robert Pringnitz of Springdale; his sister and her husband, Roxanne and Wayne Parker of Fort Smith; his maternal grandmother, Jeanyce Jacobs-Larson of Clear Lake, Iowa; his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Pringnitz of Garner, Iowa, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Michael Edward Thompson
Michael Edward Thompson, 29, of Booneville entered into rest Monday, June 18, 2001, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born August 29, 1971, in Fort Smith the son of the late Charles and Patricia (Sorrels) Thompson. Michael was an employee of Arkansas Glass and Mirror.
He is survived by his wife, Tina (Mehelich) of the home; two sons, Johnathan Thompson and Dillon Mehelich, both of the home; two sisters, Tammie Koenigseder of Barling and Jennifer Barker of Van Buren.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2001, at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Garden of Memories in Spiro, officiated by Reverend Kenneth Overturf.
Pallbearers will be Shawn and Jason Hicks, Stephan Copeland, Adam Pullium, Charles Carter and Chris Price.
Memorials may be made to Memorial Fund BancorpSouth Account No. 6300360010.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel, Fort Smith.
