David Goins
ALMA — David Braxton Goins, infant son of Marty and David Goins of Alma, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, in his home.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Edwards Van-Alma Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandparents, Larry and Helen Goins of Alma; maternal grandparents, Jackie and Glenda Swaim of Van Buren and Sue and John Foster of Mulberry; a paternal great-grandfather, Alvin Goins of Fort Smith; and a maternal great-grandfather, Henry McCollum of Mulberry.
Pallbearers will be Mike Allen and Danny Wilkerson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Braxton Goins Memorial Fund, c/o Bank of the Ozarks, Account No. 2008002202.

Robert Musick Squire
Robert Musick Squire, 56, of Little Rock died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at St. Vincent’s Arkansas Hospice. He was born in Fort Smith on Nov. 24, 1948, to the late Arthur Squire Sr. and Nancy Ann Ponder Squire.
Robert graduated from Northside High School in Fort Smith, and in junior high school he was the National Champion of the 1964 Science Fair for his hovercraft design. He attended Westark Community College for two years, and earned his bachelor of science degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He was active in both the UA choir and in the Westark College Choir.
While in high school, he met Sharon Griffin; he was in the marching band, she was in the choir. The two later dated in high school, junior college, and then during their final two years of college. They married in 1974, and have continued dating for over 30 years.
Robert retired from SBC after 30 years of service as a manager. His duties included the Arkansas Intralata Toll Pool and installation and repair. He was a member of the International Lions Club, the Greater Enid (Okla.) Chamber of Commerce, the River City Jaycees, and Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. He was on the board of Arkansas Children’s Dreams, and was the past president of the Briggs Evening Lions Club in Enid, Okla. He was a Boy Scout in Troop 10 in Quincy, Ill., and Troop 23 in Fort Smith, receiving the Order of the Arrow and later becoming an Eagle Scout. Later, he became a Cub Scout Master with attending the UA in Fayetteville.
Survivors include his wife of over 30 years, Sharon Griffin Squire; daughter, Melissa Ann Squire; son, Robert Justin Squire and wife Holly Marie; brother, Dr. Arthur Edwin Squire Jr. and wife Nan, all of Little Rock; and three nieces, Laura Trott of Memphis, Sarah Squire of Baton Rouge, La., and Anna Squire of Conway.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Ruebel Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral officiated by the Very Rev. Henry Hudson. Burial will follow at Mount Holly cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Heifer Project International, P.O. Box 8058, Little Rock, AR 72203.

Judy Clevenger O’Neal
Judy Clevenger O’Neal, 58, of Fort Smith died Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, in her home. She was a member of Bluff Avenue Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Branch. A private family committal will be 10 a.m. Monday at Garden of Memories in Charleston under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by two sons, Jeff O’Neal of Fort Drum, N.Y., and Jason O’Neal of Charleston; two sisters, Candy Ware of Greenwood and Ann Clevenger of Baltimore; and three grandchildren, Beau, Jackson and Rachel O’Neal, all of Fort Drum.
The family will visit with friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Louise Frazier
Louise Frazier, 86, of Mineola, Texas, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, in Mineola, Texas. She was formerly of Fort Smith and was a lifelong member of Midland Heights Methodist Church in Fort Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loy W. Frazier. She was a pastry cook for Wyatt’s and Luby’s cafeterias.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Fentress Mortuary Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Forest Park cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Susan J. Frazier of Warner-Robins, Ga.; one son, Dr. Loy W. Frazier and his wife Shirley of Mineola, Texas; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Loy W. Frazier III; and two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Meghan Frazier.
Family visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Myrtle Stanley
Myrtle Stanley, 89, of Fort Smith died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 31, 1915, in Sulphur, Okla. She was a member of Spradling Baptist Church and a former employee of Wortz Biscuit. She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Derec Chandler; two sisters, Clara Terry and Lena Anderson; two brothers, Buster and Oscar Anderson; and her parents, Rufus and Sillen Anderson.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Spradling Baptist Church with burial at Forest Park cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
She is survived by two sons, Don Tadlock and wife Verlene and Dan Stanley Jr. and wife Connie, all of Fort Smith; a brother, Cecil Anderson of Belton, Mo.; a cousin, Beatrice Hutain; her caregiver, Erma Lessley; five grandchildren, Sharon Dobbins and Amy Williams, both of Van Buren, and Amanda Hesselrode, Brenda O’Neal and Jason Sharp, all of Fort Smith; and nine great-grandchildren, Ashley, Blake and Caleb Dobbins, Darien, Emberlynn and Joshua Williams, Cameron O’Neal, Will Chandler and J.J. Hesselrode.
Pallbearers will be J.T. Hesselrode, Casey Adams, Larry and Mike Chandler, Bob Hutain and Jimmy Lessley.
The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Elmer Hurd
Elmer Hurd, 91, of Rudy died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, in a local nursing home. Back in the days of the two-man saw, he was an expert woodcutter and was one of the first to own a Model T Ford when you paid only 25 cents for a driver’s license. He was a champion boxer in Madison Square Garden in New York, and on the rodeo circuit he was an extraordinary champion bronco rider and was excellent with horses. He loved animals and would feed them before feeding himself. He was friends with Box Car Willie and was also an auto mechanic. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mount McCurry cemetery near Rudy under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by a daughter, Jean Richardson of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; a sister, Lorene Hurd of Missouri; two brothers, Charles Herbert Hurd and Floyd Gene Hurd, both of Missouri; and close friend Mercedes Smith of Van Buren.

Wilma Jean Willis
Wilma Jean Willis, 72, of Van Buren died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal Faith.
She is survived by three daughters, Lonnah Curry of Mansfield, Texas, Sharon Miller of Van Buren and Pam Hodges of Sallisaw; four sons, Forrest Willis of Houston, Tommy Willis of Roland and Mike and Ronnie Willis, both of Muldrow; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gervis Wayne Willis.
Funeral service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at the Highland cemetery in Ozark.
Pallbearers will be Lonnie Hawkins Sr., Lonnie Hawkins Jr., Paul Brunk, Justin and Scott Willis and Jamison Corley.
The family will greet friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Irene Wiley
Irene Wiley, 84, of Van Buren died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at a local hospital. She was a retired Air Force major, serving as a flight nurse in World War II, Korean and Vietnam wars, and attended the Christ for the World Church.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. today at Ocker Memorial Chapel with burial at Sallisaw City cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by a brother, James H. Wiley and his wife, Arleen, of Monon, Ind.; one niece, Kim; two nephews, Kevin Wiley and Kraig Wiley and his wife, Lisa.

Pallbearers will be Mike Allen and Danny Wilkerson.

Steve Biggs
Steve Biggs, 54, of Fort Smith passed away Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, in Brinkley. He was a truck driver for Warner Enterprises and a member of Haven Heights Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Irene Biggs.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. today at Haven Heights Baptist Church. Interment willbe at McKendree cemetery in Scranton under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
He is survived by his sister, Jane Parks of Connecticut; brothers, Alva Biggs of Fort Smith, Donald Ray Biggs of Barling, Larry Biggs of Fort Smith and Jerry Biggs of Fort Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be his nephews, David Biggs, Thomas Biggs, Alva Biggs, Stanley Biggs, Travis Biggs, Wade Biggs, Jeff Biggs and Brent Parks.

Tamarie Miller
LONDON — Tamarie Ann Miller, 46, of London, formerly of the Sunset community, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, in a Russellville hospital. She was born Sept. 26, 1958, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker, a horse rancher and a member of Bluff Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Smith.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville with burial at Sunset cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Ron; four daughters, April Miller of Hazel Valley and Faith, Hope and Charity Abernathy, all of Fort Smith; a stepdaughter, Brandie Doerr of Fayetteville; two stepsons, Shannon Miller of Dardanelle and Jack Miller of Farmington; a brother, John Henry of the home; and 17 grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Tamarie Ann Miller Memorial Fund at any Simmons Bank, Bank of the Ozarks or Arvest Bank.

Gene Finney
Gene Finney, 67, of Paris died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 31, 1934, in Little Rock. He was retired and was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Paris with burial at St. Joseph’s cemetery in Paris.
He is survived by two daughters, Shawmarie Kampmann of Paris and Timi Finney of Altus; a son, Mark Finney of Paris; three brothers, Bill Finney and Charles Gabbard, both of Cabot, and David Gabbard of Pennsylvania; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Artie Nichols, Eddy and Bruce Palmer, John Harris, Johnny McCormick and Michael Kampmann.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help pay funeral expenses.

Tony Scott
BOONEVILLE — Tony Gordon Scott, 38, of Booneville died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, near Booneville. He was affiliated with Southside Assembly of God in Booneville.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Southside Assembly of God in Booneville with burial at Carolan cemetery near Booneville under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Booneville.
He is survived by a daughter, Natosha Scott of Booneville; two sons, Michael Scott of Greenwood and Anthony Scott of Booneville; his mother, Hazel Scott of Booneville; three brothers, Charles Scott of Greenwood, Kenneth Scott of Magazine and Johnny Scott of Booneville; and one grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Scott, Kenneth Scott Jr., Jay and Steve Weaver, Tim Johnson and Will and Adam Beason.
The family will visit with friends from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Herbert Hutchins
CHARLESTON — Herbert “Hutch” Hutchins, 86, of Charleston, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, in Fort Smith. He was a retired funeral director for Smith Mortuary of Charleston. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Charleston, a former commander of the Charleston American Legion and an Army veteran of World War II. He was the widower of Gladys Hutchins.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Smith Mortuary Chapel in Charleston with burial at Garden of Memories in Charleston.
He is survived by two daughters, Teresa Hutchins of Barling and Dorothy Noack of Plano, Texas; three sons, Carl Hutchins of Barling, Gary Dutt of Sanger, Texas, and Jim Noack of Plano, Texas; a sister, Ada Lee of Ratcliff; a brother, Hubert Hutchins of Muldrow; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Charleston Senior Citizens Center.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
