He was a member of the football team and Key Club at his school. He leaves his mother, Consuela Young of Gosnell; his father, Ernest Lee Young of Memphis; a brother, Dequan Young of Gosnell, and his grandparents, Shirley Dandridge and Charlene Ciggs, both of Blytheville, and Tommy Young of Proctor.

West Memphis -- Sanford Cliett, 82, driver for Union Pacific Truck Lines, died Wednesday at Memphis Veterans Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home with burial in Crittenden Memorial Park cemetery. He was a World War II Army veteran, the recipient of a Purple Heart, a member of Vanderbilt Baptist Church, the American Legion, Marion West Memphis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5225 and a member and former commander of Disabled American Veterans 37. Mr. Cliett, the husband of Sandra Cliett, also leaves a daughter, Charlotte Webster, and a son, Ron Cliett, both of West Memphis, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Vanderbilt Baptist Church Building Fund.
