Frank C. Martin

Frank C. Martin, 72, of Greenbrier, died March 9, 2006.

He was retired from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, was a member at Springhill Baptist Church and a disabled U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lena Martin; children, Larry Franklin Martin of Sherwood and Tamara Avery of Greenbrier; four grandchildren; brother, Eugene Martin of Conway; and sister, Betty Thompson of Knoxville, TN.

Funeral services were held March 12 at the Springhill Baptist Church with burial in Copperas Springs cemetery in Guy.Arrangements were by Roller McNutt Funeral Home of Greenbrier.

Pearlie Mae Causey

Pearlie Mae Causey, 67, formerly of Sacramento, CA, died March 4, 2006.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Rev. Charles Causey; children, Gwendolyn and Dwight; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held March 11 at Sylvan Hills Community Church.
Services entrusted to Premier Funeral Home in Little Rock.

Carolyn J. Clements

Carolyn Jo Clements, 74, of North Little Rock, died March 10, 2006.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lee Clements; sons, David Clements of Sherwood, and Larry Clements of Sherwood; daughters, Linda Wiley of North Little Rock, and Carol Brown Gregory of Sherwood; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church. She worked alongside her husband for many years at a family owned construction business.

Funeral services were heLd March 14, 2006 at Roller-Owens Funeral Chapel.

Interment followed in Pinecrest Memorial Park.

Addie Lee Hughes

Addie Lee Hughes, 84, Pine Bluff, died March 10, 2006.

Survivors include her sons, Herman W. Hughes, Ph.D., Captain U. S. Navy (Retired) of Lakeport, CA, and Richard C. Hughes of Santa Fe, NM; daughters, Shirley Sands of Pine Bluff, and Retha Jo White of Watson Chapel; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Chester S. Henderson of Sherwood, and Bobby Ray Henderson of the Crossroads Community; sisters, Lavesta Gibbons of England, Mevalene Booher of Greenwood, Georgia Ann Moody of White Hall, Allia Dean Stahl of Buffalo, WY, and Emma Jean Wallace of Watson Chapel.

Funeral services were held at Robinson’s Chapel with interment in the Hardin cemetery.

Willie A. Puterbaugh

Willie Abraham Puterbaugh, 102, of Kingsland, died March 9, 2006. He was a “Team and Wagon Logger” early in life, becoming a row crop farmer and a carpenter, building homes, churches and structures until his seventies. He was a dairy farmer and raised cows. He served on numerous agriculture committees. He was longtime president of Kingsland cemetery Board and a member of the Fordyce First Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Clara J. Wages Puterbaugh; daughters Maydean Rhodes and Nathalene Huffman of Fordyce, Sherry Fowler of Sherwood; sons Harry Puterbaugh, and Kermit Puterbaugh of Kingsland; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held March 11 at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial followed in the Kingsland cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Gideons or to the church of their choice.

Glenn D. Clark

Sgt. Glenn D. “Cody” Clark, 72, of Little Rock, died March 11, 2006.
He was with the Little Rock Police Dept. for 47 years. While with the police department, he also worked for OneBanc in Little Rock. He graduated from Cotton Plant High School in 1952, and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Christine; sons, Terry and Gary Clark both of Little Rock; daughter, Glenda Clark of Sherwood; five grandchildren; and sister, Shirley Greenwood of Des Arc.

Funeral services were held March 15, at the Apostolic Church in North Little Rock. Burial followed at Lakeside cemetery in Des Arc.

Arrangements were by Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 901 North University, Little Rock, Ark. 72203.

Eleanor Duggan

Eleanor Emma Moody Duggan, 72, of Sherwood, died March 12, 2006. She was a Christian where she gave of her time and talents as a nursery worker and cradle roll director while maintaining her own family.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, William Clyde Duggan; children, Tamerlane Gail Franks, Quenan Denise Ellis, Lawrence Clyde Duggan, and Nathan David Duggan; brother, John William Moody; twin sister, Eugenia Troy Boland; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was Thurs., March 16 at First Baptist Church of Gravel Ridge.

Christine Roberts

Christine Roberts of Pine Bluff, died March 13, 2006.

Survivors include son, Robbie Roberts of Pine Bluff; sister, Rosa Lee Cummings of Sherwood; brother, Owen Miller of Lonoke; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Fri., March 17, at Moore’s Church cemetery.
Ralph Robinson and Son was in charge of arrangements.

Maude McCollum

Maude McCollum, 65, of Malvern, died March 12, 2006.

She was an active pastor’s wife in the southwest district.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. Dr. J. N. McCollum of Malvern; sons Nathan of Orange, TX, Christopher McCollum of Dallas, TX, and Roderick McCollum of Little Rock; daughters, Karen McCollum Pippen of Lawrenceville, GA, Lisa McCollum Smith of Sherwood, and Janice McCollum Ledbetter of Little Rock; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held March 18 at the Malvern High School Auditorium.

Burial was in the Perla cemetery in Malvern by Brandon’s Mortuary.

Sylvia M. R. Michael

Sylvia Maude Raney Michael, 69, of El Dorado, died March 17, 2006. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors are her sons, Felix E. Michael of Mesquite, TX, Calvin G. Michael of El Dorado; daughter, Felicia D. Michael Garrett of Coushatta, LA; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Herschel Dean Raney, Sr., of Sherwood; Carl Lloyd Raney, Sr., of El Dorado; sister, Carolyn Sue Raney Honey of Cabot.

Funeral services were March 19 at Roller-Mc-Nutt Funeral Home in Conway with burial following at Orion cemetery in Sheridan.

Edford Lee Wheeler

Edford Lee “Buddy” Wheeler, 63, of North Little Rock, died March 12, 2006.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Wheeler of Greers Ferry; son, Steven Wheeler of North Little Rock; one granddaughter; sisters, Katherine Huffmaster of Sherwood, Jean McMoran of North Little Rock and Allene Bridges of Jacksonville.

Memorials may be made to the Turpentine Creek Refuge in Eureka Springs.

A memorial service was held March 21 at the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel.

Cynthia K. Bartlett

Cynthia Kay Bartlett, 48, of North Little Rock, died March 19, 2006.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy Bartlett of North Little Rock; daughters, Wendy Lyons of Ward, and Kerri Hammer of Mayflower; parents, Harold and Marilyn Kelley of Thornton, CO; sister, Kim Dabney of Pueblo, CO; and three grandsons.

Funeral services were Thurs., March 23, at Huson Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Arkansas Memorial Gardens.

Margie Garrison

Margie C. Hanks Garrison, 101, of North Little Rock, died March 18, 2006. She came to North Little Rock in a covered wagon, riding and walking all the way. She attended the teacher’s college and taught in one-room schoolhouses. She was married to the late Jasper Garrison. She was a member of Sylvan Hills Extension Homemakers Club, the oldest member of 4-H and a member of Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church. She retired from the Federal IRS.

She is survived by her son, Justin Garrison of Ruston, LA; daughter, Marietta Gutierrez of North Little Rock; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Funeral services were held on March 21 in the Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Chapel in North Little Rock. Memorials may be made to Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church, 9921 Sylvan Hills Hwy., Sherwood, AR, 72120 or to Arkansas Hospice Foundation, 5600 West 12th, Little Rock, AR 72204.

David A. Ouellette

David A. Ouellette, 80, of North Little Rock, died March 22, 2006.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Cook Ouellette; son, Dr. Dave L. Ouellette; daughter, Chrissie Cook all of North Little Rock; brother, Bob Ouellette; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was a World War II veteran and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal. He owned David’s Drug Store in North Little Rock for 38 years. He was a member of the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, The Military Order of the Purple Heart and Park Hill Christian Church.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Fri., March 24, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Thurs., March 23, at the funeral home.
