Agnes G. Baker

Agnes G. Baker, 87, of Jacksonville, died April 19, 2006.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, and a member of Winsome Sunday School Class for over 40 years. Agnes was a lifetime member of Nixon Library Club.

She is survived by her sons, David Orman of Winslow, Roger Baker, and Terri Baker of Rogers; daughter, Regina Eubanks of Jacksonville; brother, Harrison West; sister, Mabel Caster, both from Sherwood; and five grandchildren.
Visitation was April 24, at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills.

Services were 2 p.m., Sun., April 25, in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Rest Hills, with Bro. Marck Gibson officiating.

Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 5600 West 12th Street, Little Rock, Ark., 72204.

Robert L. Campbell

Robert “Bob” Lloyd Campbell, 83, of North Little Rock, died April 18, 2006.

He was a member of the North Pulaski United Methodist Church in Gravel Ridge and a lay speaker for the Methodist Conference.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Jerri Campbell of North Little Rock; son, Thomas Robert Campbell of California; daughter, Nancy House of Sherwood; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services were held April 22 at Brearley cemetery in Dardanelle. Arrangements by Cornwell Funeral Home, Dardanelle.

Bessya G. Tappin

Bessya Geneva Tappin, 81, of Little Rock, died April 20, 2006. She was a member of Lewis Street Church of Christ where she was active until her health failed.

She is survived by her sisters, Daisy Johnson and Edna Williams, both of Austin, TX; five children, Doris Johnson of Grapeland, TX, Joan Greenard of Michigan, Frank Tappin, and Sally Tappin, both of Little Rock, and Elaine Shepard of Sherwood; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Further arrangements will be announced later by Gillespe Bros Funeral Home, 2420 S. Arch St., Little Rock, Ark.

Margaret Jolly Ward

Margaret Geneva Jolly Ward, 80, of Little Rock, died April 22, 2006.

Survivors include her sons, Bill of Little Rock and Jim Ward of Cabot; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and brother William Jolly of Little Rock.

She was a member of North Hills Baptist Church in Sherwood and before that a long-standing member of Oak Park Baptist Church in Little Rock.

Funeral services were held Thurs., April 27, at Oak Park Baptist Church, 8200 Flint Ridge Road in Little Rock. Officiating was her nephew, Ron Carter.

Interment followed at Forest Hills Memorial Park by Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth.

Memorials may be made to North Hills Baptist Church, 9618 Hwy. 107, Sherwood, Ark. 72117.

Dorothy S. Reddix

Dorothy M. Brown Scott Reddix, 78, of North Little Rock, died April 23, 2006.

She is survived by her sons, Vernon Scott James Scott of Little Rock, Bobby Williams of Tucker, David Scott of Cleveland, OH, Nathaniel Scott of Memphis, TN, and Joe Reddix of North Little Rock; daughters, Gwendolyn Dobbins, Robbie Whitfield, and Sheila Bryant, all of North Little Rock; brother, Norris Brown, Jr., of Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Alice Johnson and Zenda Richardson of North Little Rock, and Donna Cain of Sherwood; 42 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Sat., April 29, at Walnut Grove Baptist Church. Services entrusted to Hubble Funeral Home.

LeRoy Ziegler

LeRoy Zieler, 83, of Sherwood, died April 21, 2006. He was a flying tiger with the 11th bomb squadron during World War II, a Flight Line Chief and the Officer and NCO club manager at his retirement from Little Rock Air Force Base.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Vivian Wiley Ziegler of Sherwood; daughters, Brenda Stonehouse of McKinney, TX, and Bobbie Patterson of Longview, TX; son, Jack LeRoy Ziegler of Maumelle; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sisters: Hazel Morris and Allene Scherm, both of Stuttgart.

Graveside services were held April 25 at Arkansas State Veterans cemetery.

Arrangements were by North Little Rock Funeral Home.

Jerry Glenn Royce

Jerry Glenn Royce, age 63, of Jacksonville died April 19, 2006.

Survivors include his wife Suzanne Royce of the home; son, Jeff Royce of Sherwood; three daughters: Brandi, Ciara and Kayla Royce all of Jacksonville; sister Billie Hiett and brother George Royce.

Visitation was Saturday, April 22, 2006 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside services were 11 a.m. Sunday, April 23, 2006 at Mt. Carmel cemetery in Cabot. Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service of Cabot.

Jimmy L. Skimahorn

Jimmy L. Skimahorn, 45, of Sauk Village, Ill., died May 23, 2004, at his home, following a lengthy illness.

Born June 24, 1958, he was a native of Lawrence County.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Wyllie Skimahorn; his mother, Ruth Bates, Portland, Ind.; and a sister, Carolyn Erb, Cedar Lake, Ind.

Funeral was May 26 at 10 a.m. at the Smits Funeral Homes-Steger Memorial Chapel in Steger, Ill., with Barry Lee officiating. Burial was in Momence cemetery at Momence, Ill.

Hazel E. Howard
Hazel Elizabeth Howard, 91, of Jacksonville, died Saturday, April 23, 2005. She was born in Lonoke. In 1931 she married the late William Howard and in 1944 they moved to Jacksonville. She was a member of First Baptist church in Jacksonville.

She is survived by four children: Peggy Wright of Jacksonville, Rita Holland of Alexander, Bill Howard of Jacksonville and Carolyn Rooks of Fishers, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Rachel Gresham of Little Rock.

Funeral services were Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at First Baptist Church in Jacksonville with Rev. Mason Bondurant and Rev. Cliff Hutchins officiating. Burial followed at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home.

Marilyn Overstreet
Marilyn Overstreet, 67, of North Little Rock, died April 29, 2005.
She was a member of Levy Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughter, Pam Utley of Sherwood; brothers, Russ Overstreet of Rockford, IL, Reed Overstreet of Jacksonville, FL, Gary Overstreet of Pocahontas; and one grandson.

Funeral services were held May 2, at Levy Church of Christ, in North Little Rock. Interment followed at Lawrence Memorial Garden in Walnut Ridge. Memorials can be made to Levy Church of Christ and Paragould Children’s Home.

James E. Toalson
James Edward Toalson, of Sherwood died April 30, 2005.
He served in the U.S. Army, retired from the LRAFB as Chief of Recreation Services in 1988, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in North Little Rock.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Betty; sons, James E. Moore of Orofino, ID, Michael C. Toalson of Atlanta, GA, and Patrick A. Toalson of Birmingham, AL; daughter, Kimberly A. Toalson of North Little Rock; brother, George J. Toalson,Jr., of Pryor, OK; sister, Dorothy L. Toalson of Dewey, OK; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service was held May 3, at First United Methodist Church, North Little Rock. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in North Little Rock.

Homer Lee Neel
Homer Lee Neel, 84, of North Little Rock died April 29, 2005.
He attended Sylvan Hills Community Church for 35 years, then Levy United Methodist Church from 1990.

A graveside service was held May 2 at Edgewood Memorial Gardens in North Little Rock.

Ralph N. Knox
Ralph N. Knox, 70, of Sherwood, died April 30, 2005.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years as a command pilot, retiring as Lieutenant Colonel. He was a Real Estate Broker for a number of years.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Shirley; son, Scott Knox; daughter, Susan Flake; two grandchildren; mother Mildred Knox; and sister, Janet Johnson of Jacksonville, FL.

Funeral services were held at Park Hill Baptist Church on May 2. Interment was at the Arkansas State Veterans cemetery in North Little Rock. Memorials may be made to: Park Hill Baptist Church, in North Little Rock, Arkansas Hospice, or Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge, Eureka Springs.
