Flora Jean Ealey
Flora Jean Johnson Ealey, 72, of Wheatley, died April 29, 2005.
She is past president of the State of Arkansas Hospital Auxiliary, former board chairman of Mercy Hospital Auxiliary, secretary for the American Cancer Society, Monroe County unit for 30 years, and honorary chairman for the American Cancer Signature Fund Raiser, Relay for Life and a life-long member of the Wheatley United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, William Raymond Ealey; sisters, Wanda Henry of Russellville, Evelyn Miley of Wheatley, Sandra Shaban of Sherwood, Carole Hancock of Edgemont, Donna Herring of Casscoe; brother, Larry Johnson of Albuquerque, NM.

Services were held May 2 at the Wheatley United Methodist Church. Burial followed in Johnston cemetery.Memorials may be given to the Wheatley Methodist Church.

Daryl Alan Collie
Daryl Alan Collie, 35, formerly of Little Rock, died April 27, 2005. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his parents, Ann Collie of Sherwood and Al Collie of Milwaukee; sister, Dawn.

Funeral services were held May 2 at Huson Funeral Home in Sherwood. Burial followed at Mt. Pleasant cemetery in Cabot.

Ronnie J. DuBose
Ronnie J. DuBose, 55, of Cabot, died April 29, 2005.
He was a member of law enforcement for 34 years, including a member of Sherwood Police Department for the last 15 years.

Survivors are his wife, Linda “Wendy” DuBose; brothers, Jimmy C. DuBose of Kansas City, MO, and Bobby G. DuBose of Heber Springs; and sister, Mary Ellen DuBose of Sacramento, CA.

A memorial service was held May 2 at Sylvan Hills Community Church. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

Dowell Harlan

Dowell Brooks Harlan, 70, of Sherwood, died May 1, 2005.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Webb Harlan of the home; daughter, Julia Carol O’Brien and one granddaughter of Plano, TX; and sister, Carolyn Drew Province of Jonesboro.

Memorials may be made to the Indianhead Lake Baptist Church in Sherwood.

Funeral services were May 5 at Indianhead Lake Baptist Church in Sherwood, with Brother Mike Bowien officiating. Interment followed at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills cemetery.

Fred D. Wall

Fred D. Wall, 94, of Sherwood, died May 1, 2005.

He was a retired Assemblies of God minister from Alvin, TX.

Survivors include his children, Edwin Wall of Webster, TX, Mike Wall of Phoenix, AZ, and Renee Zermatten of Sherwood; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at The First Assembly of God in North Little Rock on May 5 with Pastor Rod Loy officiating.

Norman Dale Owen

Norman Dale Owen, 66, of Sherwood, died May 2, 2005.

He was a conversion manager at Regions Bank.

He is survived by his wife, Johnie (Jones) Owen; son, Bruce Owen of Sherwood; daughter, Tracey Schichti of Conway; and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis.

Visitation will be held Thurs., May 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills in North Little Rock. Funeral services will be held Fri., May 6, at 1 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Chapel with interment to follow at Rest Hills cemetery.

Dr. Wesley L. Pool

Dr. Wesley Lawrence Pool, 81, of Sherwood died May 2, 2005.

He was in World War II in the Army Air Corps. He retired after 30 years as a dentist. He was a Methodist.

He is survived by sons, Thomas Pool of Little Rock, and James Pool of Sherwood; daughters, Mary Pool of Los Angeles, CA, Diana White of Sherwood, Laura Gott of North Little Rock, and Leslie Henderson of Ward; brother, Eugene Pool of Dallas, TX; and 13 grandchildren.

Funeral service was Thurs., May 5, at Huson Funeral Home Chapel in Sherwood, with Brother Daniel Person officiating.

Interment in the Little Rock National cemetery.

Chris Honey

Chris Honey, 41, of Sherwood, died May 2, 2005. He was owner/operator of Arkansas Corporation Research Co. and a member of Central Baptist Church.

His survivors include his mother, Betty Sue Campbell Honey, and brother, Marc Honey, both of Hot Springs.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Fri., May 6, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with Rev. Arlis East and Rev. Charles Loyd officiating.

Terry McKinnon

Terry McKinnon, 77, of North Little Rock, died May 3, 2005. She was a retired kindergarten teacher, a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for 34 years.

She is survived by her husband, Winfred “Mike” McKinnon of North Little Rock; son, Kevin Michael McKinnon of Bedford, TX; daughters, Dona Dorman of Arkadelphia and Liz Tingquist of Sherwood; brother, John Dowling of Feeding Hills, MA; sister, Ann Marie McCue of Marshfield, MA; and five grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be held Sat., May 7, 10 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment will be 10 a.m., Mon., May 9, at Arkansas State Veterans cemetery.

A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m., Fri., May 6, at the North Little Rock Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church School Endowment Fund in North Little Rock.

Lottie Mae Langford

Lottie Mae Holland Langford, 88, of Conway, died April 28, 2005.

She was born January 2, 1917, in Lonoke.

Langford worked for the Pulaski County Special School District. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and also the Arkansas State Teacher Retirement Association.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Deegan of Richardson, TX, sister, Marie Smith of Little Rock, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held May 2, at Mt. Carmel cemetery in Cabot.

Mary Imogene Walker

Mary Imogene Walker, 70, of Mountain Home, died May 24, 2004, at her home.

Born in Walnut Ridge, she was a caterer and a member of the Mountain Home Assembly of God.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Fry.

Survivors include her husband, Edward "Hink" Walker; two sons, David Walker, Libertyville, Ill., and Steven Walker, Fort Wayne, Ind.; her mother, Rhoda Skiepkowski, Mountain Home; a brother, Ted Fry, Hodgkins, Ill.; a sister, Shelby Morris, Mountain Home; and four grandchildren.

Funeral was Friday at 10 a.m. at the Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home chapel in Mountain Home with Doyle Davis and Revs. Mike Howell and Steve Walker officiating. Burial was in Kirby's Tucker Memorial cemetery.

Pallbearers were Kyle Walker, Matthew Walker, Daniel Walker, Tim Walker, Bruce Morris and Keith Morris. Picky Warner and Jim Griffin served as honorary pallbearers.

John E. Bibb

John Edward Bibb, 55, of San Jose, Costa Rica, died July 10, 2004.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Lyerly, Richmond, Va., and Lt. Clay Bibb, West Point, N.Y.; a daughter, Johna Bibb Yeary, Maumelle; his mother, Jessie Gardner Bibb, Fayetteville, N.C.; two brothers, Lewis Bradley Bibb, Icard, N.C., and David Porter Bibb, Lawrenceville, Ga.; and a grandchild, Gabriel Lyerly.

Graveside service was Monday, July 19, at the Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Aberdeen, N.C., with Rev. A. Edward Beddingfield officiating.

Sharon Kay Allen

Sharon Kay Allen (Owens), age 58, of Austin, Arkansas, departed this life Sunday, December 4, 2005.

She is survived by her husband David Allen of Austin; three siblings, Jessie Owens of Austin, Ruth Ann Thompson of Little Rock and Brenda Burr of Ward; three children, Cyndy Rogers of Ward, Greg Pruett, Sr. of Austin and Kevin Pruett of Ward; one stepson, Brendan Allen of Melbourne, Australia; four grandchildren, Greg Pruett, Jr. and Jordan Pruett, both of Austin, Shaylece Pruett and Dawson Rogers, both of Ward; three step-grandchildren, Chelsey Shelton and Logan Shelton, both of Austin and Cole Rogers of Ward.

She will be loved and missed by all.

Myrna L. Mashburn

Myrna Lois Mashburn, 63, of Quitman died Dec. 3, 2005.

Survivors include, son, Jerry Stephenson of Quitman; two daughters, Terry Stephenson of Newport and Dana Wood of Quitman; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lynn Lockie of Quitman, Betty Pruett of Lonoke and Margaret Maronay of Carlisle; two brothers, Bobby Mashburn of Stuttgart and James Mashburn of Romance.

She was a member of VFW 2259, Ladies Auxiliary, M.O.C.A. #21, Volunteer Firefighter for Mayflower, dispatcher for the Mayflower Police Department and a long-haul truck driver.

Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel in Lonoke, with interment in Lonoke cemetery.

Dale Lynn Curry

Dale Lynn Curry, 50, of Lonoke died Saturday, December 3, 2005. He was born August 17, 1955 in Carlisle. Preceding him in death were his parents, Charles and Margaret Curry.

He is survived by his two sons, Adam Bryce Curry of Jonesboro, and Jonathan Dale Curry of Wynne. He is also survived by a brother, Ken and wife Cindy Curry of Cookeville, TN; sister, Anita and husband Joey Wilson of Lonoke; two nieces and three nephews and close friend Frances Lynn Byrd.

Dale was a member of Lonoke First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting with his sons and was an avid Arkansas Razorback and Lonoke Jackrabbit fan.

The family received friends Monday, December 5, from 6-8 p.m. at Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke. The funeral service was 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lonoke First United Methodist Church with interment following in Lonoke cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lonoke First United M! ethodist Church.
