Lynn Hamilton Fuller

Lynn Hamilton Fuller, 66, of Beebe, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004.

She is survived by one son, Mark Fuller of Cabot; two daughters, Elizabeth Hahn of Sherwood, Janet Robinson of Beebe; two brothers, Danny Kelly of Sherwood and Alan Kelly of Benton; one sister, Sharon Ellis of Benton; and six grandchildren.

Graveside service was Jan. 15, at Maple Springs cemetery, at Oil Trough.

Tianna Marie Bryant

Tianna Marie “Tee Tee” Bryant, 4, of Greenbrier, died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2004.
In addition to her parents, Tianna is survived by her brother, Malik Bryant; two sisters, Tarah Bryant and Cassidy Lambert; grandparents, Willie Bryant Sr. of Mayflower; Vanessa Bryant of Sherwood; and Sandra Leftridge of Missouri; great-grandparents, James and Iva Lee Rhine of Mayflower.

Graveside service was Monday at Edgewood Memorial Park. Arrangements by North Little Rock Funeral Home.

Leonard L. Hamilton

Leonard L. Hamilton, 66, of Pine Bluff, died Thursday.

He is survived by his wife, Shelby Hamilton of Pine Bluff; daughter, Tammy Copeland of Sherwood; a granddaughter; brothers, Ira Hamilton of Pine Bluff, Walter C. Hamilton of Hot Springs, and Arvin Ray Hamilton of Chula Vista, Calif.
Services Monday, Jan. 19, at Robinson’s Chapel, interment, Memorial Park cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to the First United Pentecostal Church Building Fund, 1401 Calvary Drive, North Little Rock, Ark. 72116.

Robert Guthridge

Robert Bob Guthridge of Little Rock, died Jan. 18, 2004.

He is survived by one child, Shelby Rhae Guthridge of Sherwood.

Bob was a NCAA basketball referee working many division one schools across the United States. Bob worked as an agent for Mutual /United of Omaha for 20 years accepting many of the company’s top awards in sales and performance. He was also a Board member of the Little Rock BOP Club. He worked as an agent for Southwest Airlines in Little Rock.

Services were Jan. 20, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home with burial in Riverwood Memorial Gardens.

James G. Waddle

James G. “Jake” Waddle of Sherwood died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth (Long) Waddle of Sherwood; a daughter, Susan Wise of Sherwood; and a son, Steven Waddle of Lonoke; one sister, Florabel Hassell of Little Rock; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were Tuesday, Jan. 20, at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, Little Rock, was in charge.

Donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 523 South Louisiana, Little Rock, Ark., 72201; or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 505 North Parkway, Memphis, Tenn., 38105.

Mary Lois Berry

Mary Lois Wright Berry, age 87, of Springdale, Jan. 19, 2004.

Survivors include a son, Allen Wright Berry of Sherwood; a daughter, Marilyn Berry McCord of Fayetteville; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Harrisburg then the First United Methodist Church in Harrisburg and Trinity United Methodist Church in Fayetteville at the time of her death.

Services will be at the First United Methodist Church in Harrisburg on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2004, at 2 p.m. with burial in Harrisburg Memorial Park cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Washington Regional Hospice, 34 West Colt Square #1, Fayetteville, Ark., 72703.

Mary Sue Lafferty

Mary Sue Swaim Stanford Lafferty, of Sherwood, died Jan. 19, 2004.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, William Carl Lafferty of Sherwood; mother, Adlee Barlow of Dover; daughter, Virginia Morehart of Gulf Shores, AL; son, Charles Stanford of Bismarck, AR; stepson, Bill Lafferty of Pine Bluff; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was retired from North American Phillips Lighting Corp.
A graveside service was Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004 at Edgewood Memorial Park, North Little Rock. Services under the direction of Griffin-Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 10411 W. Markham St., Suite 130, Little Rock, AR 72205-1409, (501) 224-0021.

Wesley Jean Spotts
Wesley Jean ÒW.J.Ó Spotts, 73, of Bryant, formerly of Conway, died Jan. 24, 2005, at the VA Hospital in Little Rock.

Born Feb. 14, 1931, in Lynn, he was a self-employed livestock hauler, an Army veteran of the Korean conflict and a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rita F. Spotts; his parents, Wes and Jewell Steadman Spotts; and two sisters, Jearline Crump and Nadine Guthrie.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Sheridan Spotts; three daughters, Debbie Martin, Donna Havens and Janet Curtis, all of Vilonia; two sons, James Spotts, Vilonia, and Jean Spotts Jr., Conway; two stepchildren, Kelly Sheridan and Amy Upton, both of Bryant; a sister, Florene Guthrie, Smithville; 12 grandchildren; Cody Martin, Amanda Martin, Justin Spotts, John Spotts, Jordan Spotts, Lindsey Curtis, Fletcher Curtis, Mollie King, Alex King, Madison Upton, Drew Upton and Hayden Upton.

Funeral is today at 3 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Bro. Brad Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Steve Estell, Steve Palmer, Herb Green, Jim Thomas, Rick Reid and Billy Sheets. Grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Virginia Fay Jean Arnold
Virginia Fay Jean Arnold, 90, of Bowling Green, Ky., formerly of Smithville, died Feb. 5, 2005, at her home.

Born Jan. 19, 1915, in Smithville, she was the daughter of William McElroy and Ina Leona Montgomery Jean.

She was a retired schoolteacher and a host for the Foreign Exchange Student program. She was a member of Lynn United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Lynn Extension Homemakers Club. She was a member and officer of the Eastern Star and the Arkansas Teachers Association.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Arnold, whom she married Nov. 24, 1960.

Survivors include a son, Donnie Arnold, Somerset, Calif.; and two brothers, Elbert Jean, Bowling Green, Ky., and Ray Jean, Ozark, Mo.

Funeral was Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Lynn United Methodist Church. Burial was in Lebanon cemetery under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service.

Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Methodist Children's Home, St. Jude Children's Hospital or Lynn Methodist Church.

Obie Delong

Obie Delong of Sherwood died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003.
He was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Sherwood and a World War II veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ann Delong; son, Don Delong; two grandchildren; one great-grandson, all of Sherwood; two brothers, JD Delong of Jacksonville, Steve Delong of North Little Rock; and sister, Bessie Langley of El Paso.

Funeral service was Saturday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel with a committal service at Wilder cemetery at Springfield, Ark.

Lesia Jane Huff

Lesia Jane Huff, 46, of Sherwood, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003.
She is survived by one sister, Becky Pierce.
Cremation arrangements by Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home.

Mary J. Gallagher

Mary Josephine “Jo” Gallagher, 74, of Little Rock died Friday, Feb. 27, 2004.
She was secretary of Arkansas Herpetological Society for 10 years. She was named the administrator of St. Theresa Parish by the Bishop of Little Rock.
She is survived by three sons: Richard Gallagher of Little Rock; John Gallagher and Matt Gallagher both of Russellville; two daughters: Maureen Pylant and Kathy Rast of Sherwood; and 11 grandchildren.

A Mass for Christian Burial was held Tuesday, March 2, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, with burial at Calvary cemetery.

Rosary was held at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth.

Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, 800 Marshall, Little Rock, Ark. 72202; or to Donald W. Reynolds Aging Center, 613 Elm, Little Rock, Ark. 72205.

Ruth J. McGinley

Ruth Jannette McGinley, 61, of Sherwood died Friday, Feb. 27, 2004.
She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in North Little Rock and a sales clerk for Fuller and Sons Hardware for many years.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Don McGinley of Sherwood; son, Craig McGinley of North Little Rock; three daughters, Helen Huitt, of McRae, Dottie Shaffer, of Sherwood, and Thekla McGinley, of Bryant; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother, Lawrence Moser; two sisters, Virginia Burgess and Annette Souheaver.

Funeral service was Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel, with a graveside service at Oaklawn cemetery in Batesville. North Little Rock Funeral Home was in charge.

Randy W. Sherrill

Randy W. Sherrill of Sherwood died March 1, 2004, at the age of 46.
He was a member of Sylvan Hills Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Deresa of 25 years; two daughters, Amber and Jennifer Sherrill both of Sherwood; his parents Elvis and Pat Sherrill; two brothers, Scott Sherrill of England, and Philip Sherrill of Sherwood.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, March 4, at Sylvan Hills Church of Christ, Hwy. 107 and Maryland Ave. Interment will follow at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Memorial Park, North Little Rock.

Mary Whitfield

Mary Whitfield, 92, Sherwood, died Feb. 25, 2004.

Survivors: stepson, Carl Whitfield; stepdaughter, Erma Jackson.
Funeral service: March 6, Good Stewardship Baptist Church, 1800 W. 16th North Little Rock. Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home in charge.

Thomas T. Smith

Thomas Turnbull Smith, age 83, of Arkadelphia died Friday, Feb. 27, 2004.
He was a Methodist and a retired construction worker.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Smith of Arkadelphia; six daughters, Timmie and Curt McBride of Biloxi, Miss., Janey and Bob Trawick of Camden, Linda and Bob Geiger of Sherwood, Sally and Gary Baird of Siloam Springs, Debbie and David Burrow of Benton, Rhonda and Jerry Thomason of Grand Junction, Colo.; three stepchildren, Ellen LaFant of Arkadelphia, Judy and Terry Garner of Haskell, Bubba Hostetler of Arkadelphia; 14 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Norman Smith of Hettinger, N.D.; and four sisters - Rhoda Stowe of Des Moines, Iowa, Ruth Stewart of Helena, Mont., Joan Christensen of Mankato, Minn., and Nellie Harris of Helena, Mont.

Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia was in charge of arrangements. Funeral services were Thursday, March 4, at Washburn Methodist Church in Washburn, N.D. Interment was in Hensler cemetery by Goetz Funeral Home of Washburn, N.D.

Memorials may be made to Arkadelphia Senior Citizens Center.
